Rushed and late to work this morning. That's twice in the last two weeks, better get my AM act together.

Yesterday I made the potato casserole I was talking about. It was pretty good, but there's definitely room for improvement. I didn't care for the texture and I know I added too much low fat sour cream to it (even though I followed the recipe). I will still make this for the potluck on Saturday, but i'll be making some changes to it and hopefully the second time around will be the charm!

It was a quiet night, which was fine with me. I took a warm bath and did some reading.

Not much more to say! Just riding out the week with as much gusto as I can muster!

I have a lot that i'm thinking about these days... my Dad, my friends, myself. There's a lot of introspective work currently being done.

Even though i'm not in an exercise routine, i'm doing well with keeping my weight where it is so that when I do get into a routine again, my weight won't have suffered during the break.

I'm working on a routine including my favorite insanity classes, and then adding in recreational activities. I want to live actively, it's not enough for me to go to the gym or get a workout dvd in. I love to hike, walk, play sports - I need to incorporate these activities into my life more often. So i'll start with a 'bucket list' of things i'd like to do, and then try to knock things off one by one.

One of the first things on the list will be to get some air in that bike tire of mine, and take it for a spin.

I had such a great weekend!

Friday I had another massage - the last one until the end of October, then went to a coffee meeting. I feel like the massages are helping, and i'm also more aware of my posture and i'm trying to get those exercises in that she recommended. We'll see how the next few weeks go in terms of pain factor.

Saturday the weather was gorgeous! I putzed around the house, then drove to the city with three friends, where we did some shopping, went to a Japanese Steakhouse for dinner, and saw the comedian Russell Peters LIVE! I love him. That is all. He is my kind of funny.

On Sunday afternoon I went golfing to round out the weekend. D was part of our group of golfers, which I wasn't expecting since he hasn't so much as said 'boo' to me recently. I have my suspicions that the afternoon round of golf was set up by mutual friends, however I am already feeling pretty 'meh' about D so they really needn't go to all that trouble ;)

Since I had such a great weekend, tonight I have some laundry and dishes and dusting to do. I would also like to get ingredients to make a potato casserole as a test run for a potluck coming up this weekend.

Today is starting out FAR better!

I woke up in time to shower, dress for work AND blowdry my hair properly.

My car's oil has been changed and the tire fixed; no issues this morning.

I went through the drive-thru and treated myself to a mocha. I had to drink straight coffee yesterday (horror!) and practically vibrated through the entire workday on two cups of coffee. I don't want a repeat of that today.

My exercise yesterday was at the manual car wash. Geez, those wands are heavy. Or i'm weak. One of the two.

Things to do today:

Work. Massage. Vacuum car. Clean out trunk. Take golf clubs out of car and pack into garage. Cry over end of golf season. Add undereye makeup before going to Lupus meeting. Explain that you have red eyes because you've been staring at a computer all day, not because you've been crying over the end of golf season.

Breakfast - mocha

Lunch - cafeteria tbd

PM Snack - granola bar

Dinner - pulled bbq chicken, whole wheat kaiser bun, coleslaw. yum.

Today has been one helluva rush so far...

I forgot to set my alarm and woke up nearly an hour later than usual.

I had to add five minutes to my pruning time to try out some new leave-in conditioner that I bought yesterday. Yes, of course I had to try it out as soon as possible!

I tried to save blowdrying time by blowing the dryer into my face instead of onto my hair. Ok, it wasn't to save time, it was because I was busy thinking about what else I needed to do to get my ass to work on time. So my face is pretty hot. And my hair is still a little damp.

Thank goodness I packed my water for today into my bag last night.

And just when I thought i'd make it in time, I realized that I left thawed chicken in the fridge in order to cook it in the slow cooker today. Fart! Stirred up all the ingredients, droplets splattering every which way, literally chucked the chicken breasts into the cooker and poured the goo over top. Set on low for eight hours.

Got to my car. Low tire light comes on.

Really? Really, God?

Oh well, I needed to make an appointment for an oil change anyways.

But the worst thing EVER?

I walked down to the cafeteria as soon as I got to work (late by almost ten minutes, yikes) with my $1 to get myself some hot chocolate from a vending machine. I mix it into my coffee at work, and have a cheaper and lower calorie version than if I bought mochas from the drive-thru each day. SO, anyways...

Out of Order.

(I would cry if I wasn't laughing so hard at the comedy of errors that is my life)

Another decent day in the books yesterday. I did a few errand-y things after work, then went to the hockey game. We lost 3-1; the other team definitely outplayed us - what can you do?

When I got home, I started into my book, then suddenly realized it was after 11pm so I crawled upstairs and into bed. As a result, this morning came quickly ;)

I feel like a pumpkin today with brown dress pants and an orange top. Yeah, see how well that goes together?! I need to do a little less pruning of the hair and take a little closer look at what colours i'm dressing myself with each morning ;)

 I look like this carpet. Wow. I should really go home and change.

Hahahaha! i am sure you look stylishly chic ;) Oh RYC girl it is still hotter than hell here, evenings as well..Overnight temps are in the high 70's :( I am so trying to be frugal so I don't turn on the AC until i sleep..There is no way I could have a restful night when I am sweating like a hooker in church...LOL..Have a good evening :)

Whew! I got on a roll at work and didn't look up until lunchtime...

I was all set to do stuff yesterday after work, and then I got a surprise call to go GOLFING!!! You can bet I dropped everything to go out one last time! I also discovered that I really need to practice driving off the tee before next season. Boy, I was sluggish and I seemed to have forgotten everything about how to golf.

Anyways, I had just gotten home after golfing and got a text from F. I was not in the mood to entertain anyone, so I blew him off... in favour of supper and a new book, and an early bedtime!

I slept well last night and am feeling pretty good today. I'd rather golf than work today, but I guess I need to make money to support my obsession...

Breakfast - mocha

Lunch - rice and steamed veggies

PM Snack - granola bar

Dinner - chicken and french fries, coleslaw

Water - I got my 2 litre goal in yesterday, so we'll try that again today

Exercise - workout after work (unless of course someone wants to go golfing...)

Other - I guess I should do everything I didn't do yesterday! There's also a hockey game tonight, so i'm trying to get hold of someone else who wants to go.

Happy Monday!

Awe, not everyone, Monday. Only the ones starting off a new work week!

The weather was gorgeous this weekend and I tried to take advantage where I could...

On Friday I went for another massage. This time, she really went deep around my neck and shoulders. I am now getting dressed very gingerly each day. After the massage, I went to F's to watch a couple of movies. I guess I could say I had a good time, but still... no sparks or anything.

Saturday afternoon I went golfing at a new-to-me course! It was a lot of fun, but i'm sad now because the season is pretty much over :(

Yesterday was spent putzing around the house, eating popcorn, watching movies, and reading. I took the words rest day to a whole new level ;)

Monday, Monday...

Breakfast - mocha

Lunch - cafeteria, sandwich maybe

PM Snack - granola bar

Dinner - tbd

Water - 2 litre goal

Exercise - workout after work

Other - groceries, clean house, work on pictures from trip

I think I am starting to condition myself to staying awake past my bedtime. This morning my eyes aren't crossing nearly as much as they were yesterday ;)

So yesterday's lunch meeting went really well; I had a turkey sandwich on whole wheat and a small butter tart instead of soup. When I got back from the meeting, I had a piece of rice crispy cake from the lunch I bought, and my apple later in the afternoon.

After work I had some of the leftovers from dinner on Wednesday - I could eat soggy ceasar salad every day. Not kidding.

Then it was off to the hockey game, where I had a mocha. I didn't even have any beer. No beer! Crazy. Our team won 10-2; a slightly boring game but so long as they pull out the win, right?

When I got home, I decided I wasn't tired yet, so I pulled a new book from the shelf and started reading. Halfway through, I got the munchies, so I had the rest of the soggy ceasar salad.

Today's lunch will be the last of the stuffed green pepper, PM snack is a granola bar since I ate my last apple yesterday, and dinner is the rest of the leftover chicken.

And then i'll still have soup and a sandwich from yesterday's lunch sitting in the fridge waiting to be eaten. I plan on making the sandwich "grilled" by frying it in oil and crisping it up because i'm sure the bread will be soggy. I may like soggy salad, but I don't like soggy bread!

Anyways - was that fun learning about how to make a soggy sandwich into a grilled ham and cheese?

I didn't think so.

I have another massage appointment after work today, and I think i'll make one more for next week and then take a couple weeks off and see how things are. I haven't been doing well with the exercises lately, but I haven't been feeling quite as terribly as I was before.

Then I made plans with F later tonight. Yes. Yes I did. I know. Two posts ago (or three, I can't remember), I just finished saying that I wasn't interested. I'm just practicing, ok?!

Hahahaha! I am not a fan of soggy bread either and this was a very informative tutorial :) As far as F goes, there is nothing wrong with a little worship from a member of your fan club so enjoy ;) LOL

P.S. Thanks for your answers and RYQ A2 is coming out some time in October so as soon as I get it I am sure I might forgo doing the entire round 2 of Insanity, I guess it depends on how far along I am in the program(If I have a 2-3 weeks left before completion, I will prolly finish it to it's entirety) have a good one!

Another long night yesterday; my eyes keep crossing i'm so tired!

I had a meeting yesterday that started at 5pm; they served sandwiches and soup, so I had 1/2 cup of cream of mushroom soup and 1/2 a ham and cheese sandwich, no dessert.

After the meeting, I treated friends to dinner at their place so that I could watch Big Brother finale and Survivor season premiere with them (since I don't have television at home). I picked up the food around 7:30 and i'd say we were eating by 8pm. We had chicken, fries and ceasar salad. Along with that, I had another mocha.

So basically I had dinner twice.

Today I managed to double up on lunch; I bought a ticket to support our local hockey team and it came with lunch - they are delivering it to work today. I also have a lunch meeting, where i'm sure we'll be served soup and sandwiches again.

And I have major leftovers from dinner yesterday. I guess my friends don't like leftovers all that much.

You know the saying "rolling in money"? Well, I feel like i'm rolling in food. And that mental image is not a pretty one. (side note - I just googled images for "rolling in food". Lame. 80% of the images were t-shirts with the Rolling Stones logo on it.)

Busy busy today! A lunch meeting, a possible trip to the city next door for a store sale, and our local hockey team's home opener tonight!

hahaha, rolling in food!I think only foods I'd roll in are chocolate and peanut butter. :)

I've had two dinners before. In fact, it happened a lot in college because I never went to bed early....because I was studying...yea, that was it...studying!!

It sure feels like it should be Friday today.

Happy Hump Day! All downhill from here!

That's a little scary for a Wednesday morning.

I stayed up well past my bedtime last night, and i'm a crazy wreck this morning LOL. The girls got together and waxed legs at my place; I put out some cheese and crackers and we had a pretty good time, considering we were having the HAIR on our legs RIPPED out repeatedly. Good times.

Today is going to be a busy day, so i'd better get to drinking up the pot of coffee we've got on the burner at work. Work 8-5, meeting 5-8, Big Brother finale! It will be hard to say if I will get to see all of it, but so long as I see what happens at the end. I plan on grabbing some dinner as I walk out of the meeting, and watching BB over at a friend's place. And then after Big Brother - Survivor season premiere!!!!

It might be another long night.
