 wow...haven't been here in a while!!  i've gone through a lot of life changing events.  i broke up with my BF of 13 years last september...  we are now talking once again so i'm not sure where it will lead at this point.  i have not watched my food intake in quite a while.  i have ate lots of fast food, restaurant food, junk food, etc...  i want to lose this 12 lbs i've put on over the summer.  i  went to a diet DR. today and restarted the appetite suppressant phentermine.  i was shocked i only weighed 157 lbs!  i thought for sure i was somewhere in the 160's so actually i'm not to bummed out...  the phentermine really helped me in the past along with following the diet from Medical Weight Loss Clinic here in MI.  looking back through my diary here i joined on feb 21, 2013 at 196 lbs.  my highest a couple years before that was 228 lbs.  my lowest weight was on january 24, 2014 when i weighted in at 142.2 lbs.  so....anyhow, i need to get back to under 145 lbs.  that is where i felt most comfortable.  this extra 12 lbs is really noticeable in my clothing, etc.  i have not weighed myself in a couple months.  2 months ago at my doctor's office i was 155 lbs.  it's amazing how 12 lbs can make such a difference in clothing, i am 5'6" tall by the way...  so, i'm back on track as of today.  i took the phentermine this morning and am back on my diet plan and journaling back in here.  it really helped me in the past!

Progress as of today: 71 lbs lost so far, only 17 lbs to go!

I am sorry to hear of your breakup. It must be especially tough after 13 years. I just went through a rough time myself after only 1.5 years and it was purely emotional attachment (we never dated only texted every day and talked on phone – but it was a very strong emotional attachment and I did open up my heart and feelings a bit to him). So I can understand how after 13 years for you it can make for a rough time… With life changes come changes in our choices – changes in eating, changes in exercise. If you make the appropriate changes and move away from doing what caused you to gain wait, I’m very confident that you will be able to lose weight once again as well. Weight is always fluctuating, always a variable in our lives. Therefore, it IS something we always have to be cognizant of! It’s when we stop thinking about it – stop making good choices – that we gain. MYSELF INCLUDED! Everything I write here, on everyone’s entries, are things that I can relate to that you wrote. What I write is my own experiences and how they may relate to yours. For me also, 12 lbs makes a serious difference in clothing. Really, it makes the difference in around 2 sizes at least – mainly bc I am short – so the difference is even easier to see.

I am doing great this week!  since monday morning (after my 10 day food binge) i've lost over 5 lbs.  so that is 5 lbs in 4 days but i'm sure the first bit of pounds was undigested food.  my goal was to hit the 140's by monday and it looks like i will make it!  i averaged around 145 lbs last summer so i want to take off this 5 lbs ASAP and then if i can take another 5 lbs off and get to 140 lbs then all the better.  :)

Progress as of today: 77.6 lbs lost so far, only 10.4 lbs to go!

 this morning i weighed in at medical weight loss clinic at 153.8 lbs.  yesterday mornings weigh in was on a different scale at the doctor's office who prescribes my phentermine.  so, i'm not sure exactly how much my weight loss was since yesterday morning being that i remember the two scales differ by about one or one and a half lbs with the phenermine doctor's scale always having me at an extra pound or pound and a half.  but, it is a loss which is a good thing.  the phentermine has killed my appetite.  yesterday i ate a grilled chicken salad with a low calorie vinagrette, a 1/2 cup of cheerios with 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk, 2 small apples and a can of tuna with onions and celery.  so a VERY low calorie day.  my appetite will slowly regain as my body readjusts to taking the phentermine again.  i will weigh in tomorrow and hopefully will have another good loss!  :)

Progress as of today: 74.2 lbs lost so far, only 13.8 lbs to go!

 well...  i really packed on a few pounds.  i gained 4 pounds in the last week (not all real weight i'm sure).  i was around 152 lbs 11 days ago (the last time i weighed myself).  later on that day i got a phone call that a very dear friend of mine died suddenly...sudden cardiac death, while he was at work.  he was 51 years old and had no known health problems.  i took it hard and binged on food for the next 10 days.  i have been stuck in the low 150's and upper 140's since the new year.  i have not been this heavy though in 2 years!  anyhow, i took control back this morning.  i went to the doctor and got a script of phentermine and am going to count calories til i get back to 145 lbs.  140 lbs is my goal but 145 lbs i'll take!!  i haven't taken phentermine in about a month so the first time taking it today it has killed my appetite.  i'm going to keep posting in here again, like i did when i went from the 190's to the 140's.  i'm glad i caught this "gain" now beforew it gets out of control again.  i can feel my clothes being tight and it is a very depressing feeling...  :(

thanks... i totally emotionally ate for 10 days after the sudden death of my dear very good friend. i ate what ever i wanted probably consuming 4000 to 5000 calories per day straight. combined with my PMS it was 10 days of pure hell horrible emotions, sadness and grief. i'm still grieving and missing him dearly but i had to catch this weight gain before i found myself at 16o, 170, 180 or 200 + pounds which if i would have kept it up i certainly would have gotten there.

 just thought i'd check in really quick.  i'm still in the 140's.  i was 148 lbs a couple days ago so i'm up a couple of lbs but overall i'm maintaining.  i still use phentermine with some time off here and there.  it helps keep my appetite in check and therefore from 'blowing up' fat again.  i've maintained for well over a year now...something i thought i could never do.  :)

Progress as of today: 83.4 lbs lost so far, only 4.6 lbs to go!

 i haven't been here in quite a while.  i just got busy and would forget to log-in here when online.  anyhow, i'm still maintaining.  144.6 lbs this morning.  i haven't been consistent with my diet or "lifestyle" but still manage to maintain somehow.  i find i can eat high calorie a couple days and then keep it around 1500 calories for a couple days and immediately take off any 'damage' pounds quickly.  if i could be consistent with eating less i could lose a few more pounds.  i'm ok with my weight where it is now.  i went from a size 18W bootcut jean to a 9 juniors or 8 misses skinny jean so i really can't complain, lol.  :)

 i just posted the following comment on a new DD members diary (SkinInTheGame).  she like myself, has followed this site for many many years and seen people come and go.  here is the post i commented to her:  

on my very first post, over a year ago, i talked about how i also read the diaries for years and years without having my own diary. many of the 'old time' people who really inspired me don't post anymore.  i often wonder what happened to them, how they are doing, did they maintain?  some of the oldtime posters that come to mind are feelybubs, curlsncuffs, speetpea1977 and halley. (i'm not sure if i spelled all their names right).  i often come to this site hoping to see them post and update us all.  :) 

 

anyhow, i looked through the 'search member' and found a few of these people's diaries.

i remember reading these peoples diaries years ago and being amazed at how successful they were.  at the time i was 200+ lbs and would start a 'diet' for a few days and fall off the wagon.  i don't know why i never started my own diary back then...why it took me years to finally post here.  if only during that time - maybe two to twelve years ago - i could have looked into the future and read my own diary that i started over a year ago i would have NEVER believed it.  that i actually accomplished getting to a healthy weight, a normal BMI and not having to shop in the plus sized clothing department.  i would have thought i'd have a better chance of hitting the lottery!  my whole world revolved around fast food, sweets and processed foods in large all day amounts.  at that time i didn't even know exactly what i weighed because i was afraid to get on the scale.  i'd go to the doctor's and tell the nurse not to tell me my weight as she weighed me while i closed my eyes.  i didn't know my weight for 10 years...my lost decade i call it.  i hated being photographed and would try and hide when people were taking pictures.  now, it doesn't bother me at all.  i post my own pics with friends on facebook.

 weight has been up and down within about a 5 lb range.  just this past monday morning i weighed 149.4.  the last 3 days i've really watched my foods and have been active.  i bought 5 weeks worth of 'medical weight loss clinic' "nutrients" to help kickstart some more weight loss and so far so good.  i'm doing 3 nutrients per day (one bar and two puddings), following the diet and also taking phentermine.  my lowest weight so far was 142.8 and my goal is 140 lbs.  who knows...maybe i can even shoot for 135 lbs!  it's been over a year since i joined medical weight loss clinic.  i weighed in at 191 lbs my first day on program.  i reached my goal of 150 lbs last summer and am a lifetime member.  i still weigh in at the clinic 3 to 4 mornings per week to keep myself accountable.  i did my program by going to one of their clinics but they also have a virtual clinic if anyone who reads this in the future is interested.  i've tried weight watchers, counting calories, slim-fast, low carb, etc and this is the only program that i've ever reached my goal on and have maintained my weight since last summer.  i was looking through my diary here which i started well over a year ago.  one year ago on may 21, 2013 i was 181.8 lbs.  i NEVER want to go back there again!!!!

 it's been one year since i joined 'medical weight loss clinic'.  i was 191 lbs when i joined (losing 25-30 lbs on my own over a few years on my own previously).  during that time i averaged 10 lbs per month for 4 months and then added foods to maintain in the 140's.  i would still like to hit 140 lbs.  i got down to 142 lbs but couldn't quite get there.  to many cheat days...  i'm still going to the clinic 3 to 4 mornings per week to 'weigh in' and keep myself accountable.  i look forward to talking to the girls there, etc.  i've started taking power walks again now that the weather is getting better.  

Progress as of today: 80.2 lbs lost so far, only 7.8 lbs to go!

Well...I was down to 146.2 last Thursday morning then I binge ate the rest of the day. I went and got another script of phentermine to help get my butt back on track. I took a half a pill yesterday and today and I feel much more in control of my cravings. I'll get back to 145 within a week... I'm cycling the phentermine. One 30 day script will last me about three months.

Progress as of today: 79 lbs lost so far, only 9 lbs to go!
