Thank you for your congratulations. I am feeling pretty good so far this pregnancy. I am 7 weeks and I don't feel morning sickness yet, so that's good. Everyday that sympton doesn't show up is a good one.
I've been trying to stick to the amount of calories I would need to maintain my current weight. I read up on the whole eating for two concept, and it's only a cute saying, unfortunately. I read this book by Dr. Oz, and he says you basically need to maintain your weight the first trimester, and then after that I kind of forget the rules (I'll read up when I get there) but it's something like 100-200 more than maintenance levels per day, averaging in a pound gain per week. during the last 20 weeks.
I think maintenance levels are about 1950-2050. 1500 for BMR, 100-200 for nursing my almost 2 year old sometimes, and then 400 for exercise (4 miles each day).
Maintaining your weight is trickier than it seems, although I managed to accomplish this goal for years when my old goal was to lose! There's irony.

I got a really good workout in yesterday. I ran for 45 min at 5.5 mph (jogging really) but I managed not to stop and I ran through all the times I wanted to stop, so I am feeling proud of myself and also relieved that I am able to do it. Today I am sore and my legs feel wobbly.

I've been really terrified of posting here again, but I really like this website and I need the help keeping my diary, so here I am. I've regained a lot of the weight I lost, but not all of it. I stopped planning my meals, counting calories and just ate more food and less healthy food.
