That's right...two more lbs gone! I'm happy about it! I also joined curves this week! I don't really have the money, but I love working out with liked minded women and it is fun! I also like being weighed and measured once a month. It keeps me focused, especially if someone else is doing it, kinda makes me feel accountable...if that makes sense. I'm off to boil some eggs for Easter! My kids are so excited about hunting and it's also a great chance to tell them what Easter is all about! My oldest knows and loves helping me tell the story to my youngest! I hope you all have a great Easter!

Progress as of today: 17 lbs lost so far, only 8 lbs to go!

It's great to be around others who are in the same mode, isn't it? I am a group exerciser most of my life as I taught aerobics for 14 years, so I know how a group can motivate you. I was always so sad when some of the new ones would drop out, though and I wouldn't see them again. I just figured it wasn't the right time for them. People may come and go within the group - but you keep with it. Congratulations on the 2 more pounds! Woo-Hoo!

So no loss for me this week! But I've never felt better! I'm really doing a great job! I think I've finally gotten over the hump and I'm seeing results in my clothes...I've now got two pair of jeans I can put on without unbuttoning them...how cool is that, plus my husband finally sees my need for new clothes!...lol! So guess who's going shopping this weekend? lol!

My kids are even acting better now that we're eating what we should. I never even fathomed how important diet is even to the behavior aspect of a person. I mean they still have thier moments, but the change is just amazing! We do more together and we really enjoy each other!

I know that I'm just rambling and rambling, but I'm so excited by the results! I hope everyone is having a great week and hopefully I'll be more faithful about posting...but I'm so busy being out there and enjoying life!!

YEA for getting over the hump! I know what you mean. Seems like the end of winter is just a slump in many ways. Interesting about the change in behavior with a change of diet. I guess I could say the same thing about myself - cause I feel better therefore I act better.....something like that!

Hi everyone! I'm down 2 more lbs...so yay me! I'm sorry I haven't been posting as I should, but I'm still doing well with diet and exercise! I've just been so busy! Thank goodness spring is finally here! I'm loving the warm weather we've been having here lately! I've been outdoors alot! Anyway...I'm off to catch up on you guys! Have a great week everyone!

Way to go, 2 lbs down!! Yes, I couldn't be happier that spring has finally arrived! Still a little cold here though but its supposed to warm up. It was supposed to warm up today but now the weather network is saying tomorrow will be nice and mild, although its also supposed to rain.

Great job keeping up your exercise and eating well!

Today was ok...work is still crazy!!! I'm just so bummed about it, but after I exercised tonight I felt a little better. The sad thing is that I'm at a crossroads and don't know what I should do from here. I know that I can't keep going on in this environment forever, but I can't be selfish, because I do have a family to think of. Wow...this is a depressing entry, diet wise, I've done great! I hope everyone is doing ok...I'm definetly going to make time to comment to everyone tomorrow...but now, I just need sleep! Good night fellow dders! :)

Hang in there, but try to be pro-active and send out some resumes and keep looking for an opportunity. I was in a terrible job situation too long and it really took a toll on my health - physical and mental. Good luck with looking for a new opportunity. Make sure you are networking with people who can help. It's tricky when you are still working, but it can be done. I'll be thinking of your effort.

You have the right attitude, we definetly do all have bad days. Sounds like you have a good plan for tomorrow! I think grabbing 15 min of cardio before work tomorrow will start your day off right.

I know what you mean with people eating out at work. I only work part-time right now because I'm mostly home with my kids but when I worked full time everyone at work ate take out none stop. Its tough to smell it and eat your healthy lunch, good for you for having great willpower!!

Your dinner plan sounds good, I love chicken and potatoes, I'm still trying to convince myself to love the veggies!! Have a great day!

Hi My bad day was tuesday,i don't know why i do it though.It is how you recover from your bad day,as one bad day can lead into another.I've cut down on the calories since tuesday and done extra exercise so if i am lucky, i MAY of got away with gaining, or if miracles happen to of lost!!stay focused ,Julie

Hey everyone! My friend Shannon finally joined this group! Yay Shannon! I guess now I'm going to have to do my entries at night as the powers that be at work are really cracking down on personal use on our work computers. I understand...but the only time I was on was during breaks, but I don't want to stir the pot. Today was a pretty decent day, for lunch, we were going to get this new chicken sandwich a local resturant was serving, but we did not realize that it was going to be super hot! I think they soaked this poor chicken in torch fuel!!! I only ate two bites and I was in pain. I even have a blister on my lip! So I know I didn't blow any calories on lunch and it did help me get my water in, I drank a whole liter of water in one sitting just to put the fire in my mouth out. For supper this evening, my husband roasted a chicken and I made some wild rice and green beans. I went to eat a piece of chicken and guess what...he had injected it with hot sauce!!! More gulps and gulps of water and supper was brief affair for me! I did eat all my green beans and my rice, but after my disasterous lunch episode, I just could not stomach the chicken. I think later as a snack I'll have a small bowl of cereal. I think the milk may settle my stomach! I haven't done any exercise yet, but as soon as get off the computer, I'm going to hop on my trusty gazelle! I really want an elliptical....does anyone know how much they cost?...I bet a fortune! Anyway...I'm off to comment on y'alls diaries! Have a great night! Sandi :)

Yay for Shannon! I didnt see her on the list, is she private or has she not had a chance to post? Just curious. I just get excited when new folks join!! :o) At any rate, tell her that Sweetpea says "Welome to the group!"

Anyway, thats some chicken you had for lunch. At least it gave you a good excuse to drink your water!! :o)

As for ellipticals, they vary greatly in price. The manual ones are a lot cheaper than the electronic ones (which is what I want). Here's a link to the store where I'll probably get mine one day after I win a $400K lottery (take that Mr. and Mrs. $377M people!!).

Im a huuuge fan of hot stuff, so as I read about your chicken sandwhich it sounded half way yummy to me. The hotter the better, cept I dont like hot sauce, Im a hot pepper fan. Hi all! I got my yards cleaned up! So I'm gonna count that as 2 points since it took 3 hours to do! A tree fell on my pump house and it took forever to get it off without doing further damage. Plus we didn't have a chainsaw! I really need to look into getting one! I did well on the diet front, even experimented with different recipes on Sunday. I made a brown rice cassarole and it was pretty good. I've been eating on it for three days so needless to say I made way too much..lol! At least it's given me healthy lunch options.

Sunday was 0 points on the exercise front....I was just too plain tired! So I just cooked and cleaned a little and relaxed.

Monday went very well diet wise, but only 1 point in the exercise dept. I had so much to do after I finally got home from work that I only could spare 30 mins. But I was busy and didn't sit down until I finally dropped into bed around 11:00 pm.

Today has been a great day so far! I know it will continue, and I do plan on getting my 2 full points for exercise today! I hope everyone has a great day! :)

Last night was rough!! We had tornados and hail and it seems every bad weather thing you could have! I was terrified, I've never actually heard the weather alarm go off. Thank goodness it's over and everyone here is ok. My poor daughter had on her bicycle helmet! I'm glad it didn't get super bad as I don't think I could've kept my cool.

I did well yesterday diet wise and have done well today. The liter bottle is really working for me. I've gotten in all my water 2 days in a row. Yay me!

I don't have any big plans for the weekend. I'm just going to be in the yard picking up limbs and debris from the storm. That's good exercise though! I hope everyone has a great weekend! :)

Im glad you survived those scary storms last night. My area wasnt effected one bit, but it still breaks my heart knowing that others had such a horrible night. Dealing with that reality along with the tragic bus accident here in Atlanta made today a really rough day for me. I just get really sad when bad things happen to innocent people!

Anyway, way to go on your diet and water!!

Your storm does sound like it was very scary, I'm glad everybody is okay. We had a storm come through here but it sounds like nothing compared to what you had!!

My sister is also having a small wedding and she is letting my mom run with the plans as well. My sister isn't as particular as me. I guess I'm a little picky with most things, I like to choose and plan things for myself:) My sister doesn't enjoy planning and organizing, she get's very stressed and frazzled.

I have been to many beautiful small weddings. Sometimes I think they are almost better because they are alot more intimate. I have a very large family and between Kirt and I a fair amount of friends so we just ended up having a big wedding. My sister had a hard time keeping her list small because our family alone is just so big. My mom has 5 brothers and 5 sisters, most married with kids and then add in our 27 or so cousins many who are also now married, and that's just my mom's side!!

I'm glad your litre bottle is helping you get all of your water in!! Great job having 2 days in a row with good diet and water!!
