Good morning!

Yesterday was a so,so day.  Thanks for the nice words, I feel better although I still have a cough... Yesterday,  I ate pasta (cheese filled tortellini) for dinner just because I didn't feel like fixing something extra/healthy/different for me to eat... just ate what I fixed for my family...  today, I'm planning something healthy for everybody to eat for dinner: bean salad and grilled chicken breasts. 

The photo bellow (near Praca do Comercio) was taken the same day I took yesterday's photo - the weather in Lisbon changed like mad throughout the day!  I liked the mood of the rain, chestnut rosting smoke and umbrelas in this pic, though...  Voila' KathyBlue, more to come.

Today is going to be a good day!

Breakfast: tea, bread and butter

snack: banana

lunch: thai salad (shreddred carrots/cucumber/cilantro/bean noodles/thai chili sauce) tea

snack:

dinner: bean salad, chicken breasts

yes, this is Rua Augusta :) I love this street. This is the Main Main Main street of Lisbon. The weather is soooo stupid!!! And it continues! :-( I hope you tried the chestnuts. They are not bad for health, on the contrary! :D

Good morning!

I'm back after being in bed for nearly a week due to a bad cold and asthma... all is well now.  Trip to Portugal went very well, what a beautiful place!  I did a lot of walking while sightseeing, but it was not easy with my asthma situation - those streets in Lisbon are indeed steep!

What a beautiful photo! I want more! :) Fiquei muito contente por terem gostado a cidade. :) Ha tantas outras giras em Portugal! :-D E os pasteis nao fazem tao mal, nao teem açúcar suficiente para estragar a dieta. Um bocadinho de exercicio depois (andar pelas ruas de lisboa) ajuda esquecer o lapso. :)

Good morning!  I hope you all had a good President's Day holiday in the US.

I'm still having a hard time getting over my cold.  Weight is about the same, but I think I lost about .5 pound in the last 2 weeks.  I hope my vacation next week will put me in a better mood for I'm downright depressed with this gloomy weather around here. ...

Yeah, unfortunately the weather is still horrible around here. We have kinda English weather - gray and rainy... But I too hope next week will be a radical change. It'd be about time! I'm sure you'll lose some more weight in the city of seven hills. :) Cidade de Sete Colinas... ehehe... everywhere is up or down, no plains!!! :)

I live in the northern part of new york so i know how you feel about the weather. you just gotta stick it out, and it seems like you have by losing that .5 pound. any motion downwards is great when it comes to the number on the scale!(:

Good morning!  I did fairly well, yesterday, about 1500 cals, total.  One day at a time....

I got so inspired by KathyBlue's photos of Portugal (the blue skies are just incredible) that I decided to go there this winter break - my daughter has a week off at school next week, so we are headed to Lisbon.

Good morning!

I'm back after nursing a cold in bed for a couple of days - I had a bad headache and just couldn't function.  All is well, in fact I felt well enough on Sunday (yesterday) to clean the house thoroughly.  I feel renewed.  Diet is ok, not good not bad.  Will start up again as of today.  Stay well, folks!

Breakfast: coffee, toast

Lunch: pumpkin soup, salad

snack: humus, crackers

dinner: steamed fish and grilled veggies

Good morning! 

I walked/jogged yesterday for 1 hour and got blisters on the bottom of my feet, LAWL.   Must remember to wear thicker socks from now on....

I didn't do too well last night with food - I felt dizzy and felt that I'd remedy it with food.  I know it doesn't make sense, but that's what I did...  today is another day and I shall do better.

LOL, great exercise. I recall seeing pictures of runner's feet - some horrible blisters and black toenails on long distance runners!
