Good morning! 

I walked/jogged yesterday for 1 hour and got blisters on the bottom of my feet, LAWL.   Must remember to wear thicker socks from now on....

I didn't do too well last night with food - I felt dizzy and felt that I'd remedy it with food.  I know it doesn't make sense, but that's what I did...  today is another day and I shall do better.

Breakfast: coffee, toast

Snack: dates

Lunch:

LOL, great exercise. I recall seeing pictures of runner's feet - some horrible blisters and black toenails on long distance runners!

Good morning!

I did very well yesterday, yay, including a 1 & 1/4 hr brisk walk.  More of the same good stuff again today, I hope.   One day at a time....  Have a great day, everyone!

Breakfast: Coffee, toast.

Snack: hummus, veggie sticks

Lunch: chicken soup, salad

Snack: laughing cow cheese / celery

Dinner: too much pasta/bean soup

I did fairly well, yesterday: healthy and moderate food portions.  Trying to keep carbo low but not always possible. Weight has not changed although weekend was a danger zone.  Will do my best, today - started out well with muesli for breakfast.  One meal at a time....  Have a good day, everyone!

It's just some much harder to stay on track over a weekend - there is too much going on to concentrate.  It takes a bigger effort and will power since everyone is asking what's for breakfast, lunch , dinner, snacks...

I'm back to my weekday routine with a cup of coffee, some muesli and a lot of that old positive attitude.  Have a good day everyone!

I didn't have much time to eat during the day, so in the evening I was so hungry and ate too much.  Overall. it balanced out - so, I'm not going to spend one more minute thinking about it.  Plans for today includes walking and balanced eating.

I walked last evening for over one hour and I feel it this morning!  It's a good feeling, though...  2 days in a row!  yay for me!

It's been so COLD in the past day or two and it's so dark in the morning until 8 am.  Can't wait for the longer day light and warmer weather....

Today's food:

Breakfast: coffee, muesli

snack: tuna on WW crackers

lunch: calico beans, roasted veggies (zucchini, leeks and bell peppers)

 

dinner: pasta, garlic bread

exercise:walk 1 hr

We've already begun to see longer days here, and i'm so glad for it. I think having to constantly do things when it's still dark outside is horrible. Walking at 5pm when it's already dark - horrible. This is why bears hibernate for the winter. There's just nothing for them to see or do. Really! Anyways, you're gonna have a great day today! I can feel it!

My legs feel a little sore this morning reminding me that I did walk, yesterday, yay, will do it again, today...

snack: early snack of leftover soup from last night (chicken/pasta,egg drop)

Lunch: tuna fish on crackers

snack:rice checks

dinner:roasted veggies, pasta/chicken/chard soup

exercise:1 hr 10 min walk, yay

Just thought I'd say hello. Exhausted. Just got back from being with Mom at her doctor appointment. Then afterward did a little shopping for her. Then after shopping for her, visited her at the nursing home, taking her some new things.

Afternoon tea in Cairo.....

Happy Monday to all!

Weekend was good, very relaxing and lots of reading by the fire... eating was ok - didn't go overboard on anything in particular.   Found out we are having guests this spring, yay!  Many people decided to come visit us since this is our last year in Geneva: 2 sets of visitors in the spring and 2 sets in the summer.  Looking forward to having them over!

Breakfast: coffee, muesli

lunch: Calico beans, tortilha wrap

snack:tangerines

dinner: chicken soup

exercise: 50 min walk

I DON'T agree with Mark Twain on this one, but I thought it was clever.  Maybe he was just a picky eater...  As for myself, I have been eating all kinds of things indiscriminately, just trying to watch my portions.

Bom dia :) The portions are very important, you're right. That's one of my greatest problems, too.. I cannot stop eating, for example a chocolate bar: I cannot just take a bit, I have to eat it all. That's why I have to go radical... :-( And eating is the worst addiction of all, because you can stop smoking, drugs, alcohol definitely and still can live a full life but you cannot stop eating and the food surrounds you... it's on the TV, in the newspapers, on the supermarkets, on the street, everywhere... :-(

Beautiful sunset! Hope you're doing well, Selina. I've received a call from the head nurse that my Mom, who is recovering from surgery she had last week, has fallen and got hurt again at the nursing home. She is to have her arm/elbow exrayed. She has a gash in her arm, the nurse said. In her confusion (dementia) she got out of her bed unassisted and fell against the corner of her roommate's bed/rails and onto floor. I'm soon to be leaving to go see about her. Hope you have a nice day and hope your Hubby is feeling better. Love, Maria

Catching up with you - Gald husband is OK!! Sorry about the snow and traffic. It seems I have had two cookie realted incidents this week, but overall it's been an OK week so far. Just shooting to make the weekend a success. Have a good one yourself.

Thanks Maria! Yes, my husband is doing just fine, it's just that he was under stress after having colleagues who collapsed with heart conditions. He did go to the doctors for a stress test and passed with flying colors.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mom, it must be so hard for you! Dementia is such a sad condition, my only hope is that she will recover from this latest injury as quick as possible. Stay well! Best wishes!

Good morning! 

I love the snow but I loath the traffic jams that result from it.  Yesterday, I got stuck in traffic and could not deliver my daughter at her class - we had a good time chatting while stuck in traffic, though... ;D

I had a few too many peanuts and dates late last night, so this morning I don't feel hungry at all....

Breakfast: Coffee,

Lunch: chicken/pasta soup, dates

snack: pickles

Dinner: eggplant parmegiana, chicken soup

snack: peanuts

Exercise: none :(
