Weight: 192.5

Lost one more pound..

Had a very busy wk-end and did not eat very well tho.. better than I would have before I started eating healthy and I did get in a cpl of good walks. I hope everybody had a nice wk-end!   I am at work w/my healthy packed lunch if I didn't have ANY days off I would do better on my weight loss/healthy living journey!! lol

B raisin bran sk milk    230

 sn yoplait                        100

L vegge-chilli w.side of peppers 400

Progress as of today: 4.5 lbs lost so far, only 52.5 lbs to go!

just42day on 10/11/2010:
Turkey burger or meatballs 1-1.5 @ ground turkey 1/4 diced onions 1/4 cup diced peppers (red and/or green and/or yellow - 1/4 of each if you have them) 1/2 - 3/4 Tsp garlic powder 1-2 TB worcester (sp?) sauce 1 egg 1/4 - 1/2 C oatmeal 1/4 C grated carrots Note: basically just add as many and as much veggies as you want. I think the carrots add sweetness and I just use whatever peppers I have on hand at the time. Form into burgers and/or meatballs (small ice cream scoop works great for meatballs) Place on baking sheet sprayed w/nonstick spray. Bake in 400 degree preheated oven for 12-15 minutes depending on thickness. Both burgers and meatballs freeze extremely well! Be sure to cool completely before freezing.

liza36 on 10/11/2010:
Awesome job on the lost pound!

Weekends are hard to stick to a plan, at least they are for me. Work is always challenging too, because even though I pack a healthy lunch, there is SO much food around - candy, cake, etc. Just this morning I was offered chocolate cake at 9:30 am! So I don't know if I would do any better if I didn't have any days off. Just too much food around everywhere!

Have a good one!

Thank you just42day I will try them they sound yummy!! liza36 yes in deed esp. for foodies!!lol

Good Morning to all DD : ))  Have a Great Friday!!

I had a bad day yesterday ATE jail food... I had no plan to I was in the bubble and the trusties came up and asked if anybody wanted a tray they ended up w/2 extra ones.. My partner was leaving soon new shift partner was coming in they said go ahead it is not like your going home for dinner so I was O.K. and ate it... I felt horrible about it afterwards but..errr  I havve to dig into why I do that impulse crappolla!!

Today is my day off and I also have the week-end off Whoo-Hoo! I am having all the kids and families over for a football party on Sat.  Mich State-Michigan game (college teams) should be fun I am worried about the food HELP!!

B Oatmeal w/sk milk pinch B.S.

Progress as of today: 3.5 lbs lost so far, only 53.5 lbs to go!

just42day on 10/08/2010:
Yesterday's behind you now so don't beat yourself too badly for the minor slip. We've all been there; the important thing is to pick up and move on which I know you CAN do. Family get-togethers/football games games can be challenging. Wish I had a solution. The only suggestion is to try to have tasty healthy options available to you. Trust me, I know how hard it is to resist the other stuff! Maybe remember how disappointed you felt w/yesterday's hic-cup and remind yourself you don't want to feel that way again? Short term satisfication isn't worth the delay in the progress. Again, I really do understand the challenge but I'm cheering for you! (food options: low cal hummus w/rf crackers, always veggies, fruit, air popped popcorn, LOTS of water. There's actually some pretty tasty "veggie potato chip-like" options out there (key is to not overdo it), turkey burgers/dogs/meatballs. I have a very tasty (& easy) turkey burger/meatball recipe. Let me know if you want it and I'll happily post it. (Even people not watching their calories love these - especially w/a little sweet-n-sour sauce). Have a great weekend! :)

liza36 on 10/08/2010:
I had a pretty bad eating day yesterday too, I succumbed to impulse crappolla too! It's the hardest thing to change. One day at a time is all I can say. Today's a new day for us both. Have a good one.

hollybelle on 10/08/2010:
I find that I "eat on impulse" mostly when I have not PLANNED anything else. I don't plan my meals out exactly ahead of time, but I always have a game plan in mind, at least. For example if I am in a pinch and don't have anything I can take for lunch (my bet option) or have run out of my healthy stash at work I plan to go to one of the fast food resturants where I know I can get something in my "range" - like even at McD's I can get one grilled chick snack wrap and a yogurt parfait. At Taco Bell I can have two crispy or soft Alfresco beef or chick tacos. At Arby's I eat one reg RB sandwich or a med RB sandwich. I always keep apples, bananas, grapes, pretzels, puddings, crackers and Laughing Cow LIGHT cheese at work. These are things that help me - you may not be able to take lunch with you, but maybe you can find a way to work something out that helps you stay non-impulsive. I just have to "be prepared" when an unexpected "opportunity" to get off path comes up. Good luck - let us know what you think you can do to prevent those moments. It takes time to build these habits, but little by little......:o)

moogy on 10/08/2010:
I sounds like you are going to have to prepare healthy snacks. There are some good ones in the forum recipe site or go online and check out healthy options. You and your family will be suprised that they are healthy (if you bother telling them), healthy doesn't mean boring. I hope you have a good enjoyable and healthy weekend.:)
