Today was a dreary one rained on and off all day. Went to a business lunch and did ok. Taking my daughter to the doctor tomorrow she had a baby about a month ago and is going for a check up. Beautiful boy thank you very much! However they found some bad cell on her pap early on so we find out what comes next now. She had this a few years back and they did a procedure. I am just worried now because they had to wait until the pregnancy was over and this is the 2nd time. And of course I looked it up on the net and found every horrible thing possible, sometimes I borrow trouble. She is 23 but still at that age they don't always ask alot of questions, mostly because they don't know what to ask. After that it is off to pick up my youngest daughter's amazingly expensive prom dress. She paid for half of it which is great because right after prom is her graduation, so we have all that expense, plus a party. It only happens once though so I am not complaining and she will be beautiful. Just because I am on a kid kick tonight I have a 20 year old son as well.

exercise was only 10 min. on ab lounger had the blahs today.

Breakfast: ceral, Lunch: tuna salad sandwich, celery and carrots, Supper: bowl of sugar free ice cream and a rice cake, snack: sugar free popsicle

Not my best day for food choices, but far better than the fried things I choose in the past.

Progress as of today: 7 lbs lost so far, only 75 lbs to go!

Good job giving yourself credit for choosing better foods than in the past even though you didn't "think" you did very well. That in itself gives you a GOLD star for the day!

Funny thing happened at swim aerobics Monday night and tonight, we had this kid (young man) in the pool who keep swimming up near us and as we were doing our work out he would go under water and watch....creepy! They are going to ask that he stay in another part of the pool during class. The average age of our class is 35 to 55, now why would some 20 something guy get his kicks from that! Couple of us said we should just flash him and send him to therapy for life.

Exercise 1 hour yoga, 45 min. swim aerobics

I am really starting to love the yoga, at first my knees really hurt and there are some positions I have some trouble with. But over all I am really starting to feel more flexible. It great to get all stretched out then get in the pool. 2 more weeks of these classes and then I will sign up for the next session and will add a land class. That will give me 4 days a week.

Breakfast: bowl of ceral, Lunch: salad with peas, mushrooms, very little cheese, ranch lite dressing, cup of pizza soup, Supper: 4 oz salmon, carrots and celery. snack in the morning rice cake and evening 2 sugar free popsicles. Not sure what the calories are on the pizza soup so I guessed high and still didn't blow my numbers. This just seemed like a lot of food.

Progress as of today: 7 lbs lost so far, only 75 lbs to go!

ew, that guy does sound creepy! although he could just be the usual dumb 20 year old boy.

You know everyone ends up really liking yoga, but I guess you just have to give it a try for a while. I would love to be more flexible but I just can't get myself to do it regularly.

Despite the creepy boy your swim aerobics sounds really fun!

Down 1 more lb today. I know from past experiece it will not always come of this quickly but I am ENJOYING it right now. I didn't have a schedule for exercise in past either. My husband is deep frying a chicken tonight but I figure if I only eat a small piece it won't put me over my calories for the day. I am trying to stay around 1300-1500 calories. My 1st short term goal is to be able to buy clothes in the regular section instead of the plus size.

bowl of ceral, apple, 2 rice cakes, 2 tbls fat free frozen cool whip, small piece of chicken, small baked potatoe, green beans

lifted weights and 10 minutes on ab lounger

congrats on another pound loss! It does seem to go faster in the beginning, but that's just more reason to run with it and take advantage of that!

I was so excited this morning to see I had lost 3 more lbs over the weekend. Even after I kinda of blew it Saturday. I still need to work something into Tuesdays and Thursday for exercise. New classes start in 2 weeks so maybe I can add something then. 1 hour yoga today, 45 min water aerobics, 10 mins ab lounger. Watched a couple of hours of fitness Tv while I was doing some paper work. If I could make myself get up at 5 or 6 every morning they seem to have some good cardio programs on. I am NOT a morning person though so that maybe pushing it. Some one told me if you do something for 13 days it will become a habit. If thats the case I have years of bad habits to undo and 13 days probably isn't going to do it.

bowl of cereal, yogurt, lean cuisine, apple, 2 diet sodas and 40oz of water.

I was told that 13 day thing too. I don't believe it. I stopped biting my nails for monthes at a time, and then go right back to it like I never quit! Someone lied to me about those 13 days!

Spend the day cleaning the house yesterday, heavy stuff moving furniture etc..then picked up sticks and racked the yard. It didn't take me long to fall asleep last night! I thought I really blew it though my husband made New York Strip, mashed potatoes, corn and garlic bread (2 pieces) and I ate it all plus a bowl of cereal in the morning. I was really excited today to wake up and find I had lost 2 more lbs. I do know I can't do this all the time but I was can't resist good steak once in awhile.

Went out for lunch today to one of my favorite places for tenderloins and I did great. Didn't even look at the menu and got a salad with grilled chicken. Because of my job I go to lunch alot with people I am training or clients. I think I will just plan before I get there what I will order and not look at the menu so I won't be tempted.

breakfast: cup of cornflakes with milk, Lunch: salad, Supper: Lean cuisene spinach-mushroom pizza, snack: 1 very small slice angel food cake and a sugar free (15 cal) popsicle.

I only had one diet soda today and 64 ounces of water.

No exercise because I babysat my grandson this evening, but trust me chasing a 2 year old around the yard got my heart rate up. They weather is so nice he was on full speed. Keeping him away from the road and out of the neighbors yards was a workout.

Progress as of today: 1 lbs lost so far, only 81 lbs to go!

Good day today only 1 cheat, my daughter made Mrs. Fields cookies for a school event and I ate one. Other wise had a cup of mushroom rice soup and small chef salad for lunch. For dinner I had a chicken fajita and an apple. My biggest accomplishment was drinking 60 ounces of water I am really trying to get better about drinking water instead of diet soda. However I still had 3 diet soda.

Exercise I did 1 hour of yoga and 45 minutes of water aerobics. I am going to try out a land aerobics class this week to see if I want to join. I am just afraid I am to far out of shape but I guess you have to start some place and I can just do as much as I can. I don't like to join something and then not be able to keep up.

Thanks for the welcomes, I am getting in late tonight so not much time to read entries. No exercise today worked late then donated my money to the local poker game.(Really should have taken a walk instead of the beating!)

Food for the day was on the run stuff, I really need to get better about this.

diet soda (3), 3 peices of jerky, slice of angel food cake, 6 ritz crakers, slice of whole wheat bread with 2 pieces of sliced turkey, 5 beers (its a card game!)

Started reading entries last week and deceided to jump in. I started taking yoga classes and water aerobics last week as well. On Monday and Wednesdays I am doing 1 hour of yoga followed by 45 of water aerobics. Also a 10 min. daily work out on the ab lounger. I am trying to find another class for Tuesday and Thursdays that I like doing. It will have to be something structured because when I get home I am bad about getting out walking etc. I would like to take land aerobics but right now I am to far out of shape. I think I need to work into that one. I do like working with weights but I probably need something more aerobic.

Food today: yogart mixed with a little cereal, club sandwich, 1 enchilda, 1 Fajita

Progress as of today: 0 lbs lost so far, only 82 lbs to go!

Hey there, and welcome to the site! Looks like you are the same height as me - always nice to see another shorty around here!

I think you have made some excellent choices of exercise. Yoga is supposed to be great for strength and flexibility, and water aerobics should help you get in shape without damaging your joints. Can't think of anything better! Also, I do think it is best to start off with something structured, so that you aren't tempted to put it off. When I first started running it was really difficult to get myself motivated to do it. I would jump at any excuse to stay home instead. Once you have invested a lot of time and effort (and money?) into getting fit, you have more incentive to keep it up!
