Friday was not the day I had planned but that's life. Called for a dentist appt & since they could take me right away , there went my gym class. & then went to the oral surgeon for a consult in the p.m. Turns out that my last dentist didn't take care of a few dental problems so need to have a wisdom tooth pulled & three teeth need major work. At least I feel that I have a good dentist now & will have the needed work taken care of. Thnk positive, right? !

Meals yesterday- B- wh toast, L- salad & soup out at restaurant , D- Thai restaurant- vegetabes & chicken Snacks- gl of wine, peanuts, piece of chocolate

No idea about calories. Fairly healthy meals . Always think there are hidden calories in those Thai meals.

Will try to get some exercise in this weekend.

If you can think positive about dentist visits...Kudos to you! I've not had good luck w/them over the years, but hope you can get things take care of and in the right way.

Another decent day -

B- fruit & almond milk smoothie, L- tom/basil soup, small piece of toast, handful of cashews, 2 slices of turkey; D- leftover African stew; Snacks- peanuts, 100 calorie ice cream bar; 2 pieces of chocolate

Exercise- just floor stretches

Happy about- keeping calories in check, eating mostly healthy food, eating small portions, no wine

Today- more exercise

hey! I like your eats. just like you, I am eating more nuts (even if it's in the form of peanut butter) and fattier foods including full fat yogurt and also avocado. Seems these foods are more satisfying than their low fat and no fat counterparts.

Good day yesterday. B.- wh toast w/ smart balance , L- carrot/ ginger soup. D- African stew w/ chick peas, tomatoes, peanut butter, sweet ptoatoes Snacks- peanuts, sorbet, wine, apple, square of chocolate

Exercise- shoveled a path (long) with all of February's snow, mall walking

Challenges- out with grandchildren for ice cream & ordered sorbet- I guess better choice than ice cream

Feel good about- Having a no meat day, getting in some exercise, having mostly healthy snacks. Scale showed down one of the pounds gained in Feb.

Now to make it two good days in a row!

I'm back home & back to routine. So, no excuses, right? Seriously, March has got to be a month of being more diligent about watching my portions, eating healthy , avoiding snacks ( This is me giving myself a pep talk.) This morning I had a Dr appt & of course one of the first things they want to do is get a weight. I said, not today. The nurse said, ok, works for me. I like this time of the patient being more in control.

Speaking of weighing in though- I didn't have a scale available to me for the last 5 weeks. So I did gain a few pounds & hope to get those off this week.

Yesterday- Wh toast w/ smart balance. , ginger carrot soup, chicken stir fry w/ rice yogurt, gl of wine, 2 oranges, mini snickers. serving of almonds

Welcome back (although I'm sure you're wishing you were back in FL :) At least we're supposed to have a thaw next week, I'm so looking forward to that. Good plan for March moving forward!

Been busy with guests and not in any usual routine. Things going well- Good amount of walking. Walking at least 30 min each day- more often 45 min.. I do appreciate being here in Fl & able to exercise outside. Though I am missing my weights & abs class & zumba. Food choices fine in the morning through about 4 pm.

Not going so well- Snacking starting around 4 until dinner. I just can' t have any nuts, crackers, or I keep going back for more. Same for a glass of wine- often turns into a glass & a half. All of these things are preventing me from losing.

As I said in an earlier post, I don't have a scale here . As I was walking into a Publix market one day I saw a woman getting on a scale. One of those large scales & I thought - That is the last thing I would ever do! I hate being weighed in the Dr office so the idea of weighing myself in a grocery store for all of the world to see would be a nightmare!

Have not been logging my calories on Lose it for the last few days so will get back to doing that this week.

You picked a great time to get away with all the snow and frigid temps we've been dealing with. Good for you for staying on top of the exercise while away. I wouldn't get on one of those public scales either!

Nuts I can manage--crackers not so much. I can't stand ritz crackers, but if the leftovers are sitting around (I use them in an apple strudel recipe), I'll inhale them. Go figure!

Hi- Having a great day. A good vigorous walk, Qi Gong with friends, lunch at a good restaurant, reading & a little paddle around the pool, now sitting on the lanai wondering what my husband is preparing for dinner. Life is good!

Food- B- banana & peanut butter, L- portobella sandwich w/ small salad, S- goldfish crackers D- ? somethign with chicken & spinach & a glass of wine.

I will be happy if I can return home at the same weight as when I left. As I said in an earlier post , there is no scale here in my condo & I haven't gone out of my way to find one - so need to pay attention to what I'm eating. I can't afford to gain any weight. I should be on the losing side but I'm not going to beat myself up about that during this month.

I am keeping track of calories on Lose It which also helps. Thanks for all of your encouraging comments.

Up& down this week.Today a better day with about 1400 calories . Everday seems to be a challenge for me. We've had company & out for meals. Today we ate at home so easier to control portions & plan ahead.

Enjoying my time here in Fl. Have done a lot of walking. 2 1/2 miles again today.

Food- I've been logging on Lose It- has just been okay - around 1500-1600 today .

Today- healthy breakfast & lunch , dinner could have been better - had coconut shrimp & then had 2 cookies for dessert.

Tomorrow- better choices!

Hi- Yesterday around14-1500 calories . with 30 min walk & 15 min swim.

Today- 2 1/2 mi walk & around 1400 calories. Not proud of eating some french fres!! Otherwise healthy foods.

Vacation temptations....We're going to Puerto Rico in April (I just might be counting down the days with all this snow) and I know there will be some delicious challenges there. It's all part of the fun of getting away and I think treats are fine as long as we moderate, moderate.

Ok, now settled & will be here for the month so need to get serious about watching what I eat.

My plan is to use Lose It to log food. and try to stay around 1400 calories. I'm pretty good about exercise but since I'm not near my gym & usual classes will walk, swim & bike and do my floor exercises.

Food planned for today- B- bagel L- salad with turkey, cheese , tomato D- going out for Thai food Snacks- yogurt, apple , Bagel isn't the best choice but no bread for lunch.

Yikes- I don't have a scale here so that is a challenge in itself. No feedback . I think there might be a gym here where I'm staying so will check that out - it should have a scale.

You're missing all our great weather here! ;) I'm so happy for you that you can escape it, I'm sure you're having a lovely time. RE the scale, your clothes are a good general guide so you be able to tell if you need to scale back. Enjoy your thai food, nom nom.
