Good morning,

Ok the weekend is over. Always a struggle. However I am going to be working on solidifying a 10 lb loss. The 3 day detox that I started on Aug 8 got this started so I guess that's not too bad. Then on to the next ten lbs. No celebrating yet though....Maybe by Thursday? Looking more & more like fall. The leaves aren't changing yet- except for a few early changing maples-but the weather is cooler & the squirrels are very busy. Off on an excursion today which includes lunch but I'll stay with a salad with dressing on the side.

Yesterday was fairly good with a few indulgences. Went to an event with food trucks. Had 2 veggie tacos- how bad can that be? Seemed pretty healthy & I was starving. Avoided all the other over the top fried food.

B- egg with spinach & 1/2 piece of bacon; L- 2 veggie tacos; D- steak 4-6 oz, small amount of mashed potatoes, peas, mushrooms , wine Snacks- almonds, piece of chocolate, beer I figured about 1500-1600 calories

Exercise- just walking around the event- maybe 2 miles

Today? not sure . I love having an open calendar!

Good Morning-

Beautiful late summer days here in New England. Warm yesterday- mid 80's.

Exercise was golf- 9 holes walking with a cart.

Food- B- egg w spinach L-smoothie w/ soy milk, avocado, spinach & strawberries, D- at a restaurant - salmon, wild rice, vegetables, wine; Snacks- yogurt, blueberries, almonds, chocolate chips - about 1400 calories, 110 carbs

A good but exhausting day. Spent about 4-5 hours doing yardwork. Dug up some shrubs & reeplanted them. Planted around 15 mums as a community project. Way over did it & was bone tired.

B- yogurt with peach and threw in a few chocolate chips; L- chicken , tomato, o & v; D- tilapia, rice & grilled vegetables Snacks- beer, almonds, yogurt, blueberries

Around 1400 calories, carbs a bit high

Excellent, gardening is such great exercise. We want to plant some fruit trees but it's been so warm out that we're holding off a few weeks. Fall weather has to come around soon, right? :)

Hi-

I know, I've been absent !! Busy with overnight guests, meetings, and then just got out of the habit of posting. Have had some off meals but getting back on track.

Yesterday- B- scrambled egg with spinach & tomato, L- salad with mango & shrimp, D- out at a dinner meeting- chicken breast with stuffing, squash, salad & then 3/4 of dessert- cheesecake ! Snacks- apple w/ pb, glass of wine

Exercise- short walk

Today will be a better day!!

Having a few "off " meals which isn't helping with the scale going in the right direction.

Yesterday a good day & today as well so "live in the moment" so to speak & learn from the past.

Still trying to avoid sugar & flour foods , keeping carbs around 100 & calories around 1400- and to get some exercise on most days.

Today - hot here so went to the gym- 25 on treadmill & 20 on bike , 5 min rowing + a few machines

B- fruit smoothie with almond milk, L- salad with avocado, turkey & o & v. Dinner will be chicken & squash. Snacks- cherry tomatoes from my garden, blueberries

living in the moment does help! :) off meals suck but it's good to move past them as quickly as possible!

Sunday- Church, a little pool time, grandchildren for an overnight.

Food- around 1300 carbs under control .

Exercise- Just some pool exercise.

Still extremely tired. Comes on around noon & I have very little energy for the rest of the day. Related to lack of wheat? I am taking a vitamin & fish oil. I'm eating vegetables, healthy fats & protein

Will check in Monday.

Thursday was a good day. Calories under 1400 & carbs under 100. Evenings are still the time that I'm looking for something to eat. Saved my fruit until then which helped. Cup of tea- ginger lemon- instead of wine.

Exercise- 3 + mile walk

Today having family for dinner. Making a salmon dish that I made earlier in the summer. Just took a peach crisp out of the oven. I saved a peach for myself. The good part is that there will not be leftovers to tempt me. Will be a challenge as everyone else has wine . I just have to remember what it is that I'm working for. I try to remember this- feet, knees, hips, heart. And then try to picture myself as a smaller size.

Notice that I haven't mentioned weight & not charting my weight. It just makes me too crazy. I'll report a loss when it is noteworthy.

A good day -yesterday. Calories under 1300 and carbs under 100.

It's a bit of a challenge at night as I like to have a glass of wine & then later something to munch on but I got through it with a cup of tea & a handful of almonds.

I realize that I can't have these constant treats & off days if I want to see some real wieght loss. So, that's what I know & let's see if I can carry it out. Hard but others have done it and I have done it in the past.

Exercise yesterday- 45 min walk at a a local reservoir- saw a bear swimming across the water.

The bears are really out in force those days! Well done with the tea at night, I like to do that too but only when it gets colder out. You're really getting into a good routine!

Not quite back on track but not a total disaster.

Today- B - wasn't hungry so didn't eat L- had family here for lunch & ate some leftover pie ;( after a healthy bowl of gazpacho & a shrimp wrap D- Planning a salad with chicken & vegetables Calories will still be under 1400 and carbs about 125

No real exercise today
