I definitely messed up a little last night by drinking...but I didn't have any beer, and hard alcohol has zero carbs. So technically, if I am doing a low carb diet then I can drink hard alcohol (in moderation of course). It's hard, when I go out with my friends and everyone is having a good time, to NOT drink. But I had fun, so I guess it was worth it. I got low-carb whole wheat bread from the store, and I really like eating it with peanut butter for breakfast! Last night I had sugar free jello for dessert- only 10 calories! But then when I came home a little drunk, i had half a graham cracker with a thin layer of peanut butter. I really love peanut butter, at least it has protein. I still haven't worked out, but I have plans to go to the gym in an hour or two with one of my best friends who has been my work out buddy for months now. She is a model who is trying to get back into shape after taking some time off from her agency. I don't normally think about it because I am so close to her and I don't primarily think of her as a model, but it's interesting to see how even models sometimes REALLY struggle with their weight.

I have decided that I will severely cut my carb intake for the next two weeks, to see how I like this kind of diet-- I want to see how easy it is for me to stick by and if I see any results at all. Today I took a walk and I did Pilates for 20 minutes. Yesterday I did the elliptical trainer for 40 minutes and did crunches. I walk a good amount every weekday anyways since my school has a huge campus. It takes me about 15 minutes to get home from my furthest class. I just bought an MP3 player online with an armband, so when that comes in the mail I will start running outside more. Right now I work out mostly indoors because I can use my CD player at the cardio machines. If anyone is reading this, do you have any suggestions of good work out songs that I can put on my mp3 player?

Im not sure what kind of music you like... for me fast raps really get me moving.. like "Pump it up" by Joe Budden.. Anything fast by DMX, "Ya'll Ready for This", "Everybody in the club gettin tipsy" by J-Kwon

I would love a mp3 player.. but just listen to the radio with it and record what you like... try researchin Jock Jams cd's to find some more get your bod moving stuff. hehe, good luck, and stay strong!

Hello to anyone who may be reading this! I am an 18 year old college freshman trying to lose any weight that I can. I live in a sorority full of beautiful, thin young women. I am not exactly overweight, but I definitely need to lose flab, fat, and gain muscle. I have gained a lot of weight since I started my senior year of high school, and along with the extra pounds, I have grown to hate my body. It does not help that many of my sorority sisters are naturally very thin. Living in the Greek System has caused my confidence to quickly dwindle. I feel like all of the other girls here are so toned and fit, it is hard for me to ever feel attractive. And this lack of body-confidence has not made it easy for me to meet guys. I yearn to look in the mirror again and think, "I look great!" I am on a quest to achieve self-love and self-confidence. I have tried this many times before, but this time I am taking a new approach. I am going to rely on inner-strength, make some lifestyle changes, and I am going to keep this diary. Any feedback is always greatly appreciated!
