firebabe - Tuesday May 29, 2001 Weight:188.0          (Atkins w/slight personal modifications)

Tuesday morning, so much for doing this later in the day ~lol~ but reading and writting seems to be the way I start my days. Inevitably I end up adding to my entries anyway, the beauty of the edit function.

I went out last night and walked two miles at the track, my personal pace being a bit quicker than when I went with Kurt the night before. I knocked the 2 miles out in 34 minutes, which I guess is okay for my first time. I really have no one to compare notes with. The good thing is my weight was almost back down to what I have currently posted here. ~lol~ I had picked up a couple of pounds (again) during the pizza episode. I don't think it was so much just eating the pizza, as it was my total calories for the day. I'm really alot more aware of them (calories)since starting FitDay.

Tonight is training at the fire station so I won't be putting in 2 miles this evening. Maybe if the weather isn't too hot and hubby gets home early enough I'll go roller blading, but I'm not counting on doing that today. On my daily schedule I have cardio and arms. My arm/weight routine takes me about 10 minutes and the cardio I have in mind for this week is about an hour. I'll probably do Tae Bo (instructional) today as well.

Yesturday I ate okay. Coffee in the morning, a shake for breakfast, leftover pizza with the kids for lunch (ugh) and then some baked chicken and zucchini and summer squash for dinner. Like I said, I think that 2 mile walk REALLY helped. Depending on the kids today, maybe I'll truck them all out to the track with me, but I'm supposed to have 5 today, and that would be kind of a tight squeeze in the car. I could do it though...hummmm

We finally got some much needed rain here. I haven't checked this morning regarding the wildfires in the area, but I see rain/thunderstorms are off and on in the forecast for the rest of the week. My flowers look relieved this morning when I did my stroll past them. There is nothing like a good rain to perk those babies up, even if you do water them regularly. I'm already cutting roses off my new bushes, and they smell so sweet!

Hope everyone had a safe holiday. I see where some have seen Pearl Harbor, has anyone seen Shrek yet?? I'm thinking about taking the girls this weekend...

Comment left by Miss Piggy on 05/29/2001: You are doing a great job. Keep up the good work. Glad you got the rain too. We have had quite a bit of rain here lately. Have a great day today. Heard about Shrek but haven't seen it. I have teenage boys. The last thing they went to see was "The Mummy Returns" cause it had the Rock in it as the bad guy. Boys are big wrestling fans. Hope you also had a nice holiday.

Comment left by carrie on 05/29/2001: I heard that Shrek is hilarious. We went to see it and it was sold out over the weekend. In fact, everything was sold out on Friday night. We finally went Sunday afternoon to Pearl Harbor. Five kids to the track heh? And your in training for the fire dept. If you can do that with the kids you can do anything Wonder woman! ha ha
