Yesterday ended with a migrane headache. I went to bed about 5:30 yesterday evening to wake up at 10:30!!! I totally missed the evening! I took more Tylenol and went back to bed. Today is much better with just a dull ache. Hopefully it will disappear completely.
I did great on my eating until about 5:00. I didn't really do awful.. just not great. But I did drink my water yesterday and made it all day without any soda! This morning I was tempted to sleep in but got up and did my yoga.. I had even reset the alarm clock.. but talked myself into getting up instead! Yay for me! Hopefully, I will feel better today and do better tonight on the eating front!
Tonight is girl shopping night so I will stock up on groceries. I need to cut way back on my other spending as I promised myself I would after my vacation. (sigh) I'll have to find another way to have fun! Haha!
Vacation was nice.. I enjoyed the time with my son and the visit with friends. One day, my son and I toured the military park at Vicksburg. It is awesome to think you are standing on the very spot so many men fought and died on. Each state has set markers depicting the military batallions from their state. They were from as far away as Maine and New Jersey. It is worth seeing if you are ever in the area. It took us an hour and a half to drive through the park! We also saw the boat on display that had been sunk in 1864 and raised some 100 years later!
We also made a visit to Natchez, a small community that has wonderful antique shops. They are displayed so nicely in beautiful old buildings. Our antique stores look like "junk" shops compared to these!
The nicest part of the trip was just being in the South with the laid back pace. Just a question for directions was an invite for a full conversation! Quite different from home. We went to the hardware store to look for bathroom light fixtures. Our inquiry was answered by not one employee.. but six!
I did miss our sidewalks and organized city life though! I spent my free moments going through my friends southern cookbooks and copying recipes to try later! That was fun for me!
Our only tough time was the torrential downpour we encountered on the way day... couldn't see the front of our own car! It was scary pulling off to the shoulder not being sure you weren't going to be plowed by another vehicle. It only lasted about 15 minutes and we were on our way again.
It was a good vacation and I felt rested when I came back to work. I needed the break!
Have a great day everyone! I'll be checking in on you as the day progresses! I've got to get started on my work!

Glad you feel better.Hope the headache stays away. Your vacation sounds very interesting and relaxing. I love to travel by car and stop and see things. My kids are even pretty good at it and don't whine too much. Good job on the food and water. Pam

Glad your migraine went away and hope the dull ache is now just a memory too. Glad you had such a good vacation. No soda for the day - Great, that's quite an accomplishment. Where in Illinois do you live. Before moving to TN I lived in a suburb of Chicago for two years. I noticed the same thing you mentioned when I first moved to TN about the friendliness of the south. I remember the first time we drove down a back country road and someone waved at us that we didn't even know. Hope you have a great day.

Hello today. I am sorry to hear that you are a migrane sufferer. I to have the occasionaly. Usually just once a month, before my monthly hell. Mine used to be really bad when I was a teenager. Thank God they aren't like that any more. It sounds like you are doing well in your diet, and hooray for getting up and doing your yoga. I would like to start doing yoga, but I don't know where to begin. Well, keep up the fantastic willpower and have a great day. C-Ya, Sherri (diva)--soon to be sexy vixen!!! LOL

Hey Mugg, just wondering how you are finding the Sommers diet. I know you used to do Atkins as well as your own modification of Atkins, so I was wondering how this compares...

I love 'ya. Muggg goes on vacation, and what does she do? Go hunting for bathroom light fixtures. Thanks for the remarks about my run in with the cashews. Joyce my sister if I know her has already made that appointment with the obgyn.
