Good morning all! The headache is just a memory, thank goodness! I feel much better today! I did show up with another pound of water weight and I know I was good yesterday so I'm sure it will go away!
It is raining here and looks like it will be for quite some time. Now all the flood warnings are back. It's only about 53º here.. very gray and dreary! It was so nasty last night that I stayed home. But first I stopped off at the library and picked up some books to read. In my effort to start saving money.. I thought I'd see what the library had instead of buying new ones. I started reading Judge Judy's "Beauty Fades, but Dumb is Forever". She is a hoot!
I also started to apply the gold leaf to a mirror that I had wanted to do. It's turning out alright. Of course, I like for things to be perfect! The gold leafing is simple enough to do. One thing I found out though is that the place I hung my mirror was just perfect... I really miss it not being on the wall. I'll have to finish my project tonight and get it back in place!
My son is still pleased with the internet friendship. He is really impressed with this young lady. He has visited her and she has visited him once.
I got up this morning and did my yoga and have good food packed with me today so I expect to have a good diet day. Have a great day all!

What an organized person you are...good for you. If you enjoy reading and have trouble finding a book at your library, you might want to try half.com. They have books, cds, and video games at outlandish prices. I've gotten books in perfect condition for under $1. You do have to pay for shipping but I've gotten books for as low as 15 cents. Hope you have a great day! Ginny

Hey Mugg! It sounds like you are doing well on the Sommers diet and that's great. I remember being all into this whacky diet back when I was in college called Fit For Life, which I have since gone back and looked at and found absolutely no scientific backing for. I think it was my first real diet and the first nutrition book I had read, so I really didn't know anything about healthy eating. But anyway, one of their things was food combining. Not that I'm saying that Sommers is equally without scientific merit - I know that she gets the food-combining stuff from Dr. Schwartzbein who came out with a book himself, which I must admit I haven't read. But hey, I say if it works for you go for it. You might also want to take a look at Protein Power if you are ever looking for another book about low-carb because it does let you have more fruit and basically encourages you to eat both fruit and veggies for your carbs. Their second book, Protein Power Lifeplan, just came out in paperback. I encourage people to read it not just for the diet, though, because they talk about so many things, like cholesterol, iron, anti-oxidents, magnesium, physical fitness, and even sunbathing, it's a great resource for information and just cool stuff to think about...

What I do, Muggg, to save money on buying books, is get them from the library too. I got my nearest library's website & there I get put on a reserve list for whatever book I happen to want, then when it comes in, they e-mail me to let me know I can pick it up. Lately, I've gotten Stephen King's "Dreamcatcher" & the Oprah Book Club book "Icy Sparks". It sometimes takes awhile to get them but I think it's worth the wait. That Judge Judy's book sounds great, have to get that one.

It makes me feel good that you enjoy my entries, I now think this has becoming a hobby with me. I'm always learning. I'm not just talking about HTML & computers, I'm talking about all of you guys. I dont have a TV but sometimes I'm in a waiting room or a coffee shop and she's on. I like her she reminds me of Dr. Laura Schlesinger. That would be interesting, suppose your son fell in love with his cyber girlfriend. They then decide to get married on the Internet, we could get DVDmon as the caterer to setup the cyber church and reception hall. Then all of us from DD could attend, and have cyber drinks, and food.
