Comment left by carrie on 05/31/2001: You keep talking about buckling down and doing exercise like you want to. Have you been doing much exercise while losing weight? You have done so well! It is funny how some people can lose without exercising a stitch. I have a good friend like that. The weight just melts off and she hasn't exercised in over 15 years. Hmmmm. We are all so different. In any event, whatever you've done, you've done well. You are such a nurturer and giver. All that giving must burn calories!

You have a good day too!

Carrie

Comment left by pushedtothewall on 05/31/2001: It is a precious time in Zach's development. You must be so proud of him, Gramma, because you have so much to do with his care and sense of himself and this big world. I am proud of you! I am wishing you every possible win-win with your June goal of incorporating a little exercise EACH day. None of these things ever look impossible on paper or in our mind's eye. Why is THAT I wonder??? Oh, we'll be cryin' the blues to each other in no time probably, right? But that is just fine because we are wanting to try our hand at it and we have each other in place to give a little support. I just love this darned site!!! See you tomorrow, Judy. Connie

Comment left by DVDMon on 05/31/2001: Hey Pasta, yes, send me your info for your page! As far as eating the same things, yes, I guess I do have a good tolerance for eating somewhat similar things every day. But part of it is that I am not a cook and so am not all that adventurous about trying new things to cook. Of course eating out I would be much more so, but I can't afford to do that very often and it's usually not good for my diet anyway. But I do try to vary things as much as I can, although due to specials at the supermarket and stuff, and my limited knowledge of cooking, I probably don't end up with the most varied diet... Also, in the past I have gotten into a routine when I have the same thing every day almost and it helpe when you are dieting because then you don't have to worry about falling in love with some new food and eating a wheelbarrow of it! But this is probably also bad because if you don't get used to having new (and potentially delicious) things on occasion, you will run into big trouble on the first occasion that you do! Then again, the low-carb way of eating (at least up until recently when I had no fat restriction) really gave me all the freedom I needed. I could eat whatever veggies and meat/fish/eggs/cheese I wanted, nuts, and even some fruit. The only thing I had to stay away from was sweets and bread products and starchy veggies, and really those were not a big deal to me. I guess it depends on what you normally like to eat. If you are very into bread or beans, rice, popcorn, potatoes, etc., you would have a really tough time...

I am making white bean chile for my supper tonight and will have a salad.

Comment left by herb on 05/31/2001: 103°, enough already. Its too bad we cant bottle that heat, and turn it into electricity. Then the power companies could "Go Fish." You sound good. Enjoy the kidlets.
