minea - Friday Jun 01, 2001 Weight:0.0          (low fat)

Today was a pretty good day. But by lunch (1pm) I was really hungry. Hungrier than I've been all week at that time and I had been having the same breakfast all week. I couldn't figure out why! Turns out, when I looked in my lunch bag at lunchtime, I realized I didn't eat my fruit for breakfast! (I usually bring my breakfast to work because I never get up in time to eat it at home.) No wonder I was hungry, all I had had since waking up was a cup of coffee and a tiny muffin. I thought it was hilarious, I must be losing my memory, I was positive that I had eaten my breakfast. Hmm.

Anyhow, I'm looking forward to this weekend because my brother has a ball tournament. There's nothing I love more than sitting at the ball park watching cute guys in tight pants (not by brother of course!) I've decided that in order to get my exercising in this weekend and not feel bad about sitting at the ball park, I will walk there and back (about 3 miles each way). I'm kind of looking forward to it! But, I have to admit that the one thing I really miss is the spitz (sunflower seeds). Unfortunately not only are the high in sodium (which I'm marginally trying to reduce) but they are really high in fat. I love them! But I'll bring my water and some snacks and probably a sandwich or something (otherwise the only choice I would have is hotdogs and hamburgers at the concession, dynamite!)

I am proud of myself today because even though I was tired and really didn't feel like exercising, I went out for a walk and pushed it hard, then came back and did some aerobics at home. I also was able to leave some food on my plate again tonight. Not much, but at least it was a start. And, one more thing, because I went to the mall today at lunch and smelled pizza and A&W's but instead I got a wrap with no mayo. And I was fuller and it lasted me longer than either of those two combined would have! What are you proud of yourself for today?

Food today:

B: lowfat apple bran muffin, coffee with cream and sugar twin

Lunch: chicken/rice/veggie wrapped in spinach tortilla, no mayo but with salsa

Snacks: 1 lowfat oatmeal raisin cookie, 13 pretzels, 7 jelly beans (darn secretary had'em sitting at her desk!)

D: 1 cup of steamed broccoli with Molly McButter and Mrs. Dash (ain't the three of us cute?), side salad with nonfat dressing, 3/4 cup stovetop (made without butter), 3oz lowfat meat loaf (mostly veggies, half the meat replaced with oats.)

Dessert: 1/4 cantaloupe (the breakfast I never ate!), lowfat cool whip

Water: 11 (A new world's record!!!! And the crowd goes wild...)

Exercise: 25 minute brisk walk, 2/3 of a Kathy's marching aerobics tape, 1/2 stretchin to the classics tape (total exercise 1 hr, 15 min.)

I want everyone to have the bestest day in the bestest possible way.

Sounds like you're doing GREAT! I had to laugh at the "I must be losing my memory" comment....my mom calls it "crowded attic syndrome"....you're just storing too much stuff to be able to find what you're looking for. Have fun at the ball games!
