TGIF!! for two reasons: 1) obviously it's Friday and 2) yesterday my daughter got a job at TGIF. She's been working at Target for more than a year while going to school and was getting bored. She worked at Shoneys when she was 16 so she knows she'll do well with tips.

I came up with my June challenge. I'm not going to eat any cookies for the month of June. I realized this morning that while I've been eating better for a month now I've had more trouble with cookies than anything else. I've been able to eat a couple of bites of cake a couple of times and not a whole piece of cake but the few times I've had a cookie I've had several, not just one. Sooooo no cookies for me in June.

I did well with not snacking after dinner last night. but I did have some of those dreaded cookies while I was waiting for dinner. I also realized that my daughter and I were talking in the kitchen waiting for dinner to be done and I didn't eat the cookies. My daughter left and I thought I had an excuse to eat because I was by myself. WRONG!!! Until I get over that I'm going to go somewhere else w/o food occupying the same space. Pathetic aren't I. Oh well, whatever works is ok with me.

It's still raining in Nashville but hopefully will get out of the area to give us a nice weekend. I'm taking my oldest daughter for a test run to the hospital where she's going to have her baby later this month. Her husband has an eye condition and can't drive so I'm the designated driver for her. My other daughter is dancing in her last dance recital next weekend - she's been dancing 15 yrs since she was 3. The dance teacher has asked each of us senior mothers to provide a 'tail' for a large kite she's going to have after the finale for all the graduating seniors. We're supposed to attached momentos from their costumes that they've had over the years. Sorry to say we threw alot of her real old costumes away (when she was little her and her friends would dress up in her costumes all summer long and the costumes got a little ratty). I'm hoping to transfer some of her older pictures onto material and attach those to the tail with other momentos we still have. It will be a surprise for the girls so I'll have to do it this weekend when Sarah is working.

It's lunch time now so I'm going to go to Krogers to get a salad. Will come back to my desk and read some of everyone's postings. Hope everyone has a great weekend. Ginny
