Good Friday Morning All,

Well today should have been day of the weekend challenge... but I feel that I would be letting everyone down if I do it this weekend. I got my knee looked at last night and it is sprained they think. I am to wear this stupid knee brace that goes from the thigh to the ankle. GRR! The doctor said if I rest it for a few days it should heal just fine. I will not be able to go for hour walk/runs this weekend! I do plan to do 1 hour of weights on upper body so if everyone feels that is enough I will do the weekend challenge????

I am planning on being very careful what I eat during the next few days to make sure that while the knee gets better I do not gain. I am very worried because we all know that exercise is the key to most of this. If anyone has any exercise ideas I would love them!!

The meeting went really well yesterday and I am so happy its all out in the open now. When I let something just bubble up inside I dont do really well at much else. So now its onward and upward!

If anyone is still going to do the weekend challenge let me know. I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday TAKE CARE!!!

Comment left by momof4 on 04/26/2002: Hi - Sorry to hear about your knee! You go for the challenge this weekend -- you do whatever you can! Every little bit counts!! I know when my ankle started hurting I just kind of stopped and it got too easy to not do it -- but I have gotten back to it now. The doctor said today that i must have tore some connective tissue - amy have even chipped a bone - but it is just going to take time. I am so glad the meeting went so well. It must feel so much better - a load of your shoulders!(too bad it didn't take any pounds with it!!) Have a great day and happy weekend!


Comment left by pastagal on 04/26/2002: I just want you to know,,,that exersise is GREAT and all of should do it daily,,tho i am one who is constantly finding reasons why i don't have time,i do walking great for a week and then i don't for two weeks,,but what i am getting to is this,,You don't have to exersise to think that is the only way you will lose weight,,cause i am proof that you can lose with out ever doing any exerise on a consistent basis,,,so if you have to take a few days off for your enjuries,,,then don't worry about it,just keep eating right and drinking your water and you will do fine,,hope you recover soon ,,and so sorry it happened to you now when your exerises is such a huge importants to your program.have a good weekend ok:}

I had every intention on participating in the weekend challenge this week but so far I'm doing terrible and I feel like total doodoo because of it. If I could just figure out why I do these things.....Just keep sabotaging myself. Well, don't want to bring you down with my problems. I hope you have a good weekend anyway, okay?

Comment left by prism on 04/27/2002: Sorry about your knee. Its so frustrating when you really want to exercise and then you can't for some reason beyond your control....

But you have a great attitude!

Just keep up the good work, rest up that knee, and it will come. After all, they say diet is 80% of the fight. So if you keep up your eating plan....you should do fine even without the exercise, especially since its only temporary.
