My low weight on Sat. after the library was 128.5. On Sun. and Mon., 129.5, and today 130. Calories on Sat. and Sun were 1200.
I have two games this week on Sat. and Sun so I have to tread carefully so I can afford some beer/wine.
Then there are two more games next Tues. and Wed. It's not going to be easy!
Lunch toy was chicken salad made w/ low fat yogurt. Snacks today will be cantalope and papaya. I'm going to make an okra gumbo tonight, a salad have some celery w/hummus (the low calorie kind!)
Current Goal - 35 lbs lost so far, only 5 lbs to go!
129 once again. I like that I'm seeing this weight more and more frequently.
Was I careful about doling out 3 T of hummus! Now I'm wondering how I'm going to use the rest of of 70 cal. roasted pepper hummus. Looks like it's about to enter the d"special occasion" category.
Fruits yesterday: blueberries, papaya, pineapple and cherries
Protein: 6oz lean pork chop
Salad - for me it was small, but probably a large salad for anyone else.
1/2C mixed whole grain rice, 2 stalks celery w/3 T hummus
Today I'll have a can of prime tuna filet mixed w/ FF yogurt, celery and dill relish. I hope to avoid having it on bread or a bagel and instead put it on pieces of red pepper. My Latin market had the red peppers on sale for 79 cents lb! Did I stock up! At that price I can afford to make red stuffed peppers.
I don't know of any games coming up, so the beer/wine front is safe which makes it possible to test the waters at 128.5 again.Ahhhh. If only.
Current Goal - 36.5 lbs lost so far, only 3.5 lbs to go!
130 today. I think it's because of the Sabra hummous I had bought, two for one. I had forgotten to check the calories in it, thinking it would be 30-40 cals. per Tbl. but NO! Turns out it was 70! To make matters worse I had a third stalk of celery and didn't measure the hummous. I weighed the container and discovered I had eaten 5.5 oz of it! Way too much!
So today I went back to Whole Foods and bought some more Cedars at 40 cal. per oz. Tonight I'm going to measure first and take no more chances of going over like I did last night.
On the positive side, I really filled up on a bowl of steamed broccoli and one of baby bok choy. I flavored them both with a 15 cal. T of raspberry vinaigrette. I made another big salad and had 1/2C each of mixed rice and red beans.
Current Goal - 36.5 lbs lost so far, only 3.5 lbs to go!
When I got home from the library yesterday I was 128.5! I had the feeling that I'd be down because the day before I was starving! Any time I ate it was as if I hadn't eaten a thing, but I hung in there and didn't go off track.
Now, every time I have one of those "eating/hungry" days, I'll look at it as a precursor to a loss. At the moment I'm 129.5.
I even had a 16oz beer last night during my game. One beer. I had to take small sips to make it last. This is no way to live! I told my doctor this morning that I wanted to go back on the old medicine because the one I've been on since Jan. hasn't seemed to have made a difference in my knee. I told him with the World Series and college football season coming up I wanted to make a "lifestyle" change; that I just can't enjoy my games with water.
He talked me into continuing the drug for one more month at a slightly higher dose, and if my condition remains the same, then I can go back to the other drug.
I ended up with about 1400 cals yesterday because of the 200 for the beer. I'll be back to 1100-1200 today. Same foods, w/sl. dense German wheat bread w/PNB & sugarless jam budgeted in. No beer or wine today. The usual fruits w/dairy, leftover eggplant and steamed veggies.
Current Goal - 36.5 lbs lost so far, only 3.5 lbs to go!
129.5 - 1200 cals. yesterday.
I worked it out so I could afford a sl. of toast w/PNB and sugarless jam. What a treat! No salad yesterday, just the celery w/hummus, 7 almonds, 1 Dove, papaya and pineapple w/FF sour cream. Lunch ws 3.6 oz steak. Dinner, two C ratatouille w/okra too.
Bought some more cherries and two cantalopes today so I have plenty to choose from.
Current Goal - 36.5 lbs lost so far, only 3.5 lbs to go!
Was it you who said Cedar's has the least amount of calories?
