How do you feel about yourself, your weight, your decision to change? 6 years ago I felt like I had gotten lazy and just put my health/fitness on the back burner due to family stress/daughter's illness (she's much better now, thank you)so I started to exercise and eat right again (I taught aerobics for 14 years back in the day)and lost about 23 lbs. Then slowly I gained it back. I KNOW I feel SO MUCH better when I am a little lighter. I don't want to have back pain and sluggish feelings that I have when I'm heavier.
How long have you been overweight? Overweight about 10 years, but have wrestled weight/food related issues all my life.
What things have you tried before to lose the weight? Was anorexic in early to mid 20's. Began healthy eating and exercise program to control weight and wound up teaching aerobics for 14 years. Had child at age 37 taught aerobics for about 6 years after that then took classes for a few years, but work schedule increased and myself just took back seat. Other than healthy eating and exercise I haven't tried much - I'm not a beliver in fad diets or drugs for weight loss.
What is the number one reason you want to lose weight? Health
What are some other reasons? I want to have enough energy to deal with my life. I want to be able to walk for fun until I die. I don't want to give up the things I love just because I get older. I want to be Fit for Life.
What is your goal weight? 150 then 140 maybe
What is the first thing you want to do when you reach your goal? Enjoy it.
Are the people closest to you supportive? If not, why? Yes.
What is the worst thing about being overweight? Low Energy / Clothes don't fit right / Keep waiting for life to happen
What is the best thing about you? I don't know. I hate this question. I guess I am comfortable saying my intentions are usually honorable - no hidden agendas with me
How will losing weight affect those around you? They will have a more enthuastic person to work and live with.
On a scale of 1 to 10 (low to high) how determined are you to reach your goal? 10
