How do you feel about yourself, your weight, your decision to change? While my weight is not a huge problem, I feel that I become consumed with it. I want to get to a point...or a day...or an hour...that I don't think about it!!

How long have you been overweight? The pounds have been gradually increasing since my Arthritis has gotten worse. I've always been active...gym, hiking, walking but I know have to find the even balance...if I do too much, it aggrivates the Arthritis. If I do too little...it aggrivates the Arthritis. So, there is that fine line between doing too much and too little. GRRR.

What things have you tried before to lose the weight? Weight Watchers but I find I get best results by cutting back on calories and being faithful with working out.

What is the number one reason you want to lose weight? Arthritis. Got to get the weight off my knees. Oh...would be nice to feel comfortable in shorts too!! Unfortunately I live in an area where we wear shorts a good portion of the year.

What are some other reasons? I live in SoCal and sometimes I feel like a bit of a clod!! I have this Eastern European body where I'm built solid for baby making and the long winters...which we so lack here in Southern California.

What is the first thing you want to do when you reach your goal? Wear shorts with confidence. I've long given up looking good in a bathing suit...especially at my age!!

Are the people closest to you supportive? If not, why? I rarely tell people anymore. Just because, I start and I fail. Broken record.

What is the worst thing about being overweight? Clothes. Things are just made so cheaply now. The materials they use are SO THIN which shows my rolls!!

What is the best thing about you? I'm an optimistic person

How will losing weight affect those around you? They'll want to know how I did it.
