Hi Gang....

   Just stopped by to check in with you all.  Sorry I have not been online much lately.  I have been fighting a bug for over 15 days now and still have not gotten rid of it yet.   I am at the point of wanting to hit myself over the head.   I am so tired and every part of me hurts.  I have gone to 2 doctors and even the ER and they said there  is nothing they can do.  I just have to ride it out.  AHHHHHHHHH.  Sorry to go off.  I hope you all are doing good.  I will try and check in again soon and catch up with you all.  Hugs my friends.

That sounds very frustrating to say the least. If you feel like you're getting the runaround--that you need another opinion, I hope you can do so.

Hi Gang.....Thank you all for the wonderful comments.  It helped a lot.  I am doing much better, but darn it I think I am coming down with something.  Have been feeling like cow dung all day.  I hate it when I get sick.  I just have no energy and just want to sleep.  AHHHHHH

Tonight one of my uncles wanted to take me out to dinner for my belated birthday dinner.  So we went up the the casino and ate and played a few of the slots.  I have no luck when it comes to those darn things.  Takes my money everytime. lol  He ended up leaving with 800 dolloars and only spent 30.  Some have all the luck.   If I did not have bad luck I would have not luck at all. lol

We went orb hunting last night.  Found some.  Very neat stuff.  Have no clue what they are but it is still interesting.  For those of you that do not know what an orb is.....here is a short explanation.   When you take a photo it is the round balls of light that appear in the photo.   This is a long story on how I got into taking these photos. lol   Sometime I will try and put a photo of some on here.  I have to make the picture smaller. 

Well I am going to call it a night and go watch some tv and try to relax before bed.   Hugs....  Check up on all of you tomorrow.

I got an excellent orb picture once, just after vaccuming. It is the light reflecting of particles in the air. Fasinating stuff. Cow dung eh! not good!! Feel better soon:)

Hi My Friends,

    Thank you all for the wonderful Birthday wishes.  I had a great time.   I did not do much, but what I did was nice.  I kind of was not in much of a mood to celebrate my birthday this year.  I had wanted to have a big party since this was my 40th Birthday, but since my step father passed I was just not in the mood.  His birthday would have been on the 12th.  So we went out to eat for his and my birthday.  It was fun.

   Boy time flys by quick.  I can't believe I have turned 40.  I have been kind of down lately.  I think I am still feeling the lost of my step father.  However, I feel so sad that I have not found that special someone.  I have not dated since I was 23.  I do not have any children and I think it's to late to have any now.  As my cousin keeps telling me my clock has ran out.  Plus I don't have that special someone to even think about starting a family.   I could not even support a child, I still have not been able to find work.  I have been out of work for almost a year.  The only reason I am still hanging in there bill wise it of my mother.  She is the greatest.  I have been looking for work, but I keep getting letters and e-mails thanking me for the interest, but either the job has already be filled or I am over qualified. etc etc.   As you get older it is harder to find that perfect  job.  

   Ok I am done getting that off my chest.  Sorry all.  I am going to head off now.  Short note....my eatting has been kind of weird.  I have not eaten much lately, keep getting sick to my stomach when I eat.  My mother wants me to get checked out, but no health insurance so that is on the back burner so to speak.  HUGS to all of you.  You are such great friends.  HUGS!!!!!

I wouldn't count a life with a family of your own just yet! I do understand what you are saying, most of my friends are all married with kids and everyone has a different lot in life so who knows what life is going to bring to us! It is hard when life doesn't work out the way we expected or planned, I speak from experience. I found that doing volunteer work helped me to fill in those empty gaps in my heart, maybe it would for you as well. Hugs to you as well!

Good Morning My Friends.......Happy Valentine's To You All.....Thank you for the early Birthday wishes on my last entry. 

     I am going to take today and just enjoy it.  I can't believe how time flies as you get older.   I am the big 40 today.   Wow....it feels as if I was just in my 20's yesterday. lol  Well a little.  My body has it's moments. lol    On the 12th we went to Red Lobster and celebrated my Step father's Birthday which would have been his 65th.  That was a nice way to remember him and did mine also.  Then my Mother took me to the mall and we just looked around and then she got me a very wonderful gift a new laptop computer.  Which I am playing on as I type. lol   I love new computers.  They are so fast.    Today we are just going to take each min as they come and see what we fill like doing.   I will try and write more later.  Hugs to all of you.  I hope your day is filled with lovely flowers from the ones you love.   HUGS!!!!!!

Hi My Buddies......Boy today I was freezing.  I stayed home and did some things around the house.   Not much exercise, but at least I was moving.  I think we are going to play with the Wii.  Spoke with my father in MO.  He thought my birthday was Monday.  I told him that he better check the calendar again. lol  It is next Monday.  lol  So I got my Birthday card today a week early.  It is very cute.   I can't believe I will be turning 40.  AHHHHH.  Boy time does fly.   I wanted to be at 135 by this time, oh well.  I will make that goal by my next birthday I hope.  Well gang thank you all for the sweet comments you leave me.  They help a lot.   You all are such great people.   You all make me feel special.    HUGS!!!!  I really mean it.

Times flies, but think how much more you know now than you did when you were thirty!!! Great goal to get to your goal weight by your next bithday. You can make a huge dent in that number in a year. You go for it!!

Hi My DD Buddies....Hope you all had a great week.   Well I got to the gym again and did some weights and got on the treadmill.  It does feel great when you exercise.  Sometimes you think your legs are going to fall off, but at the end you feel like you have done something for yourself.  I am still working on the calories.  Thanks for all the great advice.    You all are the greatest.   Well I am going to keep this short and see if I can read some of your entries.  Hugs to all of you.  Have a great and safe weekend.

Yeah! The best bit of exercise is when you press the button and turn the tredmill off and then think to yourself "good for you". Have a wonderful weekend and make healthy choices. Stay warm:)

Hi Everyone....

    Hope all of you are having a great week.  I am doing good.  Still trying to figure out just how many calories I am suppose to eat.  My personal trainer told me that I was not eating enough.  She will not say how many calories I am to eat but did say she does not want me to get under 1200.  I was never good at figuring out how many calories are in stuff unless it comes out of a can or box. lol  So that is an area I need to work on. lol  It has been so cold here.  We are at 2 degrees right now.  BURRRRRR!!!!   I am so ready for spring.  I am planning on riding my bike this summer and doing walks outside as well as using the gym.  I really want to get to at least 250 by summer.  The goal my Doctor wants me to reach is 200.  I am hoping to hit that by Sept.  Fingers crossed.  Well I better close and get some stuff done before bed.  Hugs to all of you my DD buddies.

I am sorry you are so cold. I know what cold feels like, I grew up in England, so I know about snow!!! However, knowing both heat and cold, give me cold anytime. Huggling up under a blanket and snuggling in bed has got to beat what I am doing now. Sitting under the air conditioner and still sweating. It is 4.30pm and it is 102 degrees and rising, it will peak at about 6.30pm. Trouble is my part of the house is built on top of the brick house and is made of wood, so I have little insulation from the heat and three massive picture windows. Wonderful in the Autumn and Winter, murder in the summer. I agree with your trainer going under 1200 will put you into starvation mode and you won't lose weight. I would say because you have a fair bit to go and your need more than someone who is, say 175 you would lose weight best at 1600, I know it sounds a lot but you need fuel to help your body burn that fat. Reach that first goal and there will be no stopping you. I too have chosen to have a high goal weight. I am not willing to look at what I should really be until I get the first hunk out of the way. That's right, below 1200 is a must not do. You should do a check-up to know how many kcals your body burn, it depends on the % of body fat you have... Don't believe in the 1800-2000 RDA's because they are not for everyone, it's just an average value.

I have definitely experienced going too low and how your body will just stand still. No weight loss at all. 1600 sounds about right but I would try and pin your trainer down to a number, she what she thinks of 1600. She should be able to say at least approximately as she is giving you an excersise plan that is burning the cals.

Wishing you luck! There are some decent websites that will list calories per set servings of stuff. But you will need to get one of those little scales or less accurate guess amounts.

Hi Gang....Well today I worked muscles I did not even knew I had.  This was my first day working out with my personal trainer.  She is really great.  I know I well be feeling the pain tomorrow. lol  However, I feel great.    She however told me I am not eating enough.    We have a big storm moving in tonight so I may not make it to the gym tomorrow, but I can work on my Wii.  I got the Biggest Loser Game.  Boy now that is a workout. lol  I hope you all are having a great Monday.  I am going to keep this short and go check out some entries.

Hi Everyone....Hope you are enjoying your weekend.  I am doing good on my food intake.   I have been kind of not feeling that great today.  I think I am trying to come down with something. AHHHHH.  I am going to try and make it to Church tomorrow.  I have not been to Church since Dec 19 right before my Step Father passed.  I just have not been in the mood.  I think I am still fighting some depression still.  I know my mother is.  She is in the I hate the world mood.  I don't blame her.  I still love her. :)  Well I just wanted to wish you all a wonderful rest of the weekend.

I'm sorry to hear about your step father passing. Church will be good. Lots of love and support. You will always have your memories so think those happy thoughts. Tell your mom not to be so down. He is in a great place being well taken care of and now she should do the same for herself. I'm sure that's what he would want for her and you as well.

Hi there again--good to see a familiar name up there on the list!

Please accept my condolences on the passing of your stepfather--sounds like it was quite sudden. And though it's unthinkable that we'll lose someone so close to us, when it's sudden it can be overwhelming and hard to process. And when the loss occurs near the holidays, that can compound things.

I hope you continue to good care of yourself, take things a day at a time and do try to stick with us. There is a lot of inspiration here as usual:-)

Keep putting one foot in front of the other and you will get there!
