I was not happy with my weigh in this morning. I'm up 1.8 pounds. Not even sure how that happened. So far today I managed to get my house cleaned from top to bottom. Puppy was not happy with being put in a blocked off area while doing so. She howled for 4 hours non stop. Going to have some lunch now. Then going to get a walk in. I have to get my exercise in. Once home then time for some training and play time with pup. Have a good Monday everyone!

Progress as of today: 16.2 lbs lost so far, only 88.8 lbs to go!

If it's been awhile since you've had a dog, the one thing I can say is to get her exposed to other dogs, like at a dog park or really anywhere. She'll be so much easier to deal with when she's older around other dogs.

Being as we were on vacation we missed out on Turkey Thanksgiving dinner so today I'm cooking a turkey and we'll have it tonight. I'm not having company over as I'm still trying to get the new pup settled in so it will be just hubby and I which means lots of turkey left to make a batch of turkey soup! MMM! Lol! I love making home made soup so I can control what goes into it. With fall here it's also soup season which I always enjoy. Sounds crazy I know but fall is simply my favorite season.

I ate well yesterday and chased puppy and then chased her some more lol! Have a great on track day everyone!

Fall is also my favorite season. We had turkey last week. Looking forward to Xmas turkey now. Has to be the best smell in the house when it is cooking. Enjoy - have a great day.

A busy couple of days it's been with the new puppy. Lots of clean up, getting up and down etc. Have eaten well the last 2 days. Once puppy is settled in I'll get started back on some kind of walking routine. It won't be until spring that I can take her. She's so little and our winters are bitter cold here. Once spring hits though she'll definately be my new walking buddy. In the mean time, once she has her next set of shiots we can enroll in puppy school. That should be fun. Hoping everyone's having a great day!

Well I've been away on vacation for the last 11 days and am now home. Had an awesome vacation but am glad to be home! On our way home we also stopped and picked up a new member of our family ... A new little puppy! We had to say good bye to our last little girl fur baby 3 months ago after having her for 12 years. We have missed her incredibly. Now we have a new addition ... She's 9 weeks old and the house has been turned upside down already. Lots of work ahead of us for sure!

I weighed in yesterday and was quite surprised with the results. I thought I would be way up as we ate out the entire time and my choices were not great but I was down about half a pound. Not sure how that happened... Even though we did a fair amount of walking I still consumed lots of calories so I'm not sure. Either way I'll take it!

Now I need to some how get into a routine with the puppy and my walking and eating. I'm hoping we'll have that sorted out within a week or so.

This morning I finished a 4 KM walk again and it feels so good! I'm so happy that the weather is great for walking outside. Snow will come soon enough.

I am a total Diet Cola addict. I drink about 4-6 cans of it per day. About a year ago I switched to the caffeine free version of it but still kept up the pace in terms of consumption. If it's in the house I have no control .... sad as that is but true. The artificial sweetener I know is not good for me either. My dentist is after me because of how bad the cola is on my teeth. And of course same with my doctor because of stomach issues. So yesterday, I poured out 57 cans of the stuff down the drain. I'm not normally a wasteful person but I couldn't even give it to the food bank. If it's bad for me then it's bad for someone else too.

What I did realize yesterday, was that even though I feel disappointed in myself because I have such lack of control, is that in order for me to be successful and make the changes I need to for weight loss and overall health ..... is that I need to be honest with myself. Then once I've done that then I need to do whatever works for me to make the changes happen.

So those are my thoughts for today. Good bye Diet Cola ....... Hello water! Have a great day everyone!

I know all about the cola addiction. I was addicted to Diet Dr. Pepper. I let it go about 1 1/2 months ago. My joints do feel better, I don't have as many headaches and if truth be told I also think it helped clear up my skin. I think that was a very good decision you made. I now only drink one every Sunday, through a straw! It doesn't taste as good as I remember but at least I don't crave it anymore. Good luck!

I was a diet coke addict, as well, I grew up on the stuff! About 10 years ago I decided to quit it for a month. At the end of the month, I literally couldn't stand the stuff. It was so surprising! I haven't had soda since, except the very, very rare rootbeer! You won't miss it after a while, and water will start to taste much better. Good luck!

On Monday I managed to get in a 4 KM walk. Tuesday shopped for groceries and stayed focused on purchasing healthy foods. I did not buy some foods that are really salt filled that I have to cut back on. I'm a salt addict and as we know it's not good for so many reasons. Still had to purchase some things that hubby wants for his lunch that I need to stay away from. He's a slim and trim guy who needs extra calories rather than less. We are just slightly a little opposite In that area of our lives lol! This morning I got in another 4 KM walk so I'm pleased with that. It's a great way to start the day. Great job 4Km. Salt is bad for us. I never salt because I retain water too much ever since I was pregnant I have had to stay away from that. Have a great day.

I avoid salt, as well, and it is so hard, it's in everything! I also buy other snacks for hubby, but I make him take them to work and keep in his desk, so they aren't around to tempt me. I have a weakness for Greenfield Village sausage sticks, and I can't have the meat or the salt in them! At least they are nitrate free, but if they are in the house, I will devour them all!

I've decided to change my weigh in days to Monday each week. It just makes more sense to me. My weekend continued with bad eating so today I've moved forward from that and have started the week off fresh. I weighed myself and recorded my weight accordingly. I was up some which I fully expected. So here's to a new week!

Happy Hump Day to everyone! Well today was my weigh in day and I've lost another 1.6 pounds. Not as great as I was hoping for, but a loss is a loss and I'll certainly take it! My goal for this upcoming week (my weeks start on Wednesdays for the purpose of weight loss and planning) is to definitely get more water in and to get my walking schedule back on track. On my agenda today is grocery shopping. I have to go to Costco as well as my local Superstore as it would appear I need things from both places so I know this trip will be a large one and an expensive one at that. YIKES! I have a few other stops along the way to make as well so I best get at it! Enjoy your day!

Yesterday I went 240 calories over what I was supposed to have. I just couldn't seem to fill up. Hoping for a better day today. I've really been eating too much salt and not drinking enough water. I must work on this. Today was filled with house cleaning chores and laundry. Feels good to have it done. I like to keep organized. Tomorrow I'm on the hunt again shopping to still try and find a fall coat. I have an appointment on the other side of the city tomorrow so I'll try some stores there. Hoping everyone is having a great Monday!

Good luck on the shopping. Yes water can be hard to drink it is just so tasteless, even with lemon juice I do not find satisfaction in it. Like it or not we have to drink some. Have a great evening.
