Yay for sleeping in! Fell asleep sometime after 2 and got up around 10.  I took a sleeping pill around 1am and it helped me to keep sleeping thru the morning. I know I can't rely on them, it's best to sleep naturally, but they've really helped me this past week to get better sleep. My skin is better also because of it!

Glad to have this day off and just relax. Only unfortunate thing is my left leg / ankle are tight of course from the extra walking yesterday. It's upsetting, but i'll try not to think about it too much and just relax today.  I'll be doing a weights routine later today... :)  I'd like to do it now but I figure I should relax just a hair more, then go to the gym...

10:30am Breakfast: 2 sorta big plums 120, chips 200, full fat greek yogurt with sf jelly 200. total: 520.

1:15pm: high fat chocolate collagen protein bar and 1/2 cup coconut water 250.

total: 770, good..

Bar 170, banana 130, drink 20 320 1100...good. Wanted low calories today but now not so sure. 1250 one more banana during long workout

dinner: chips 330, lots of veggies in basil sauce with tofu 400 = around 750

2000....really...I should plan for a low cal day this weekend. maybe Sunday.

the concert was great! :) at the end, he was playing all his major hits at the encore...last 30 min?!...and everyone was standing and dancing...lol...I stayed seated as my ankle bothered me but luckily I could still see the performance that way! :)

Really excited about my day. I am working from 8am-2pm then leaving to drive home and get organized for a concert tonight at Madison Square Garden in NYC. I will park near my place by the bus stop and leave by bus around 3:30 -4pm which takes me subway to take a couple trains (gotta transfer) into Penn Station to meet my friend around 5:30.
 We are having a laid-back dinner at 6pm right across the street at a café near MSG and then heading into MSG for the Billy Joel concert at 8pm. I am most excited to relax and take the good music in. I was a musician in the past & I am really looking forward to enjoying this Billy Joel concert with my best female friend!  
I am proud of myself for coming into work and getting it all done and not wasting a vacation day! I will get home prob around 12:30am-1:30am from this and def gonna sleep in tomorrow Friday. I have been taking sleeping pills almost every night since Sunday night to help me out…and I may have to take one if I wake up too early on Friday after all this….looking to have a very relaxed day Friday as I need to rest up my ankle and leg and just relax.
 I also plan to have a low calorie day Friday – 1200 cal is the plan. And as for the weekend, that’s sorta my plan as well – but I’ll be taking it day by day and this could change. Hoping for a beach day if the weather changes at all…seems like rain Friday thru Sunday this weekend. I don’t mind !

Concert was great! Prob ate around 2250 hopefully not more. Home a hair after 1am...glad to sleep in tomorrow!!

1150 after lunch. extremely tired in the PM at work today...happy to go home and go to sleep EARLY.

1200 before leaving work...ready to go home and have some leftover Chinese from Monday night...maybe add some extra fatty dessert, we'll see. really tired. I knew it would be a hard week...just upset about my ankle / leg being tight. maybe i'm just being a baby and maybe after getting more sleep i'll feel better..

300 in fruit and veggies...1500...then dinner..

Prob around 2000. No exercise.

Feeling a bit anxious this morning about going back to work. Needed extra carbs this AM to balance me out...feeling a bit better now.

At work, it's been the same as usual.  Administrators walk by without acnkowdegment I am even here, depressing atmosphere, and me realizing I will need huge mental strength to survive another 1.5 years...but also I will need mental strength to make my body stronger for NYPD and skin thicker and not take anyone's shiat... :) I have a lot more to say about yesterday, will write more another time...when not at work...

700 cal before lunch..

Around 2050 overall and a great workout tonight. Tomorrow I will skip PT again opting to come home and relax with a healthy dinner - no bars or junk food. Thursday will be crazy busy so I am trying to balance myself and not be out late Wednesday night. Proud of myself for deciding to do less! Sometimes trying to do everything backfires !

10am Breakfast: full fat greek yogurt with sf raspberry jelly, coconut water 250.

12pm: chocolate collagen bar 230.

12:30 2 small ice pops 80

1pm gave in: small bar. 130

Total so far: approx. 700, good.

3:30 popcorn 100 800 cal 1000 cals so far....

Approx goal for today = 1500 cals.

6pm: out to dinner with Dad!!!!  :)   ....dinner bigger than expected...total around 1750-1800...


1. Put $ on laundry card - I went and was told check only...I can't believe they don't take cash lol - DONE!

2. Pay co-pay bill - DONE!

3. laundry - DONE!

4. go to library to return book / print out return receipt for an item i'm returning  (I disconnected my printer and put it away so it's actually easier to print out the paperwork at the library lol) - DONE!

5. go to post office to ship the return item back - DONE!

...maybe fix lights on inside of car but probably not....

6. food shopping DONE!

7. Pick up some things from CVS DONE!

8. go to PT.... Out to dinner with dad :) hadn't seen him since Father's Day! :)

...too much lol..so i'll just do one at a time lol!

Today my plan is the gym.  I could also do errands, but not feeling so inclined to do them (pick up detergent, food shopping, etc...) because I want to relax this afternoon a bit after getting ready before a concert i'm going to tonight on Long Island and getting home late after midnight. I'm going with 3 other people. One CANCELLED on me yesterday saying she'd send me the $ in the mail.  She's the biggest flake I know & I will NEVER be doing anything "big" with her again (especially if my $ is involved ahead of time). 

I really just want to end the friendship completely, but it's hard to do that because we've been friends so long - 15 years.  We've definitely grown apart. She is single, 39, and she can never see past her own life or problems...she thinks only of herself - hence her thinking it's ok to cancel on a concert we planned to go to around 2 months ago.

I luckily gave her ticket to someone else who i'll be picking up and driving to Long Island with me.   Of course i'll drop her off too...I will probably get home after midnight. The person I gave her ticket to is a coworker who I invited to come for FREE. Since the woman who cancelled said she'd pay me by mailing me a check. The reason I asked the other to come, and for free, is that I know she's not made of money - at all - she's having car problems and has to pay for that right now - and her mom has always struggled with $.  The girl i asked to come should not have to pay - and it wouldn't be right of me.  The girl that cancelled on the other hand, last minute!!!, she should pay me for her ticket! for sure! :) 

I am happy to bring my coworker (she's also my friend of course!) because she's also never been to a concert at the beach theater (and neither have I) and she is such a nice, genuine friend.  She has hardly even been out to Long Island! I am happy to show her what it's like and go with her...i'm just happy to experience it with someone as nice as she is...to spend time with a quality, genuine person. It all worked out for the best.

As soon as I get the $ in the mail for the check from the one who cancelled, I will be cutting most of my ties with the one who cancelled.  Not thinking EVER to invite her to anything again.  Just so you know how close we used to be, I was thinking to invite her to my sister's wedding this coming April! Yeah...and my sister was only allowing me to invite 2 friends. And she was friend #2.  Yeah, you can bet she's not on that list anymore. 

She is so flaky...and then complains, on facebook to the world!!!, that HER friends are flaky. No, she is the flaky one...and her friends are just giving her right back what she dishes out to them. She deserves it!  She doesn't consider how her flaking out hurts others too.  All because she wants to be happy she decides to cancel last minute!? How is that fair to her friends?  What if it was only me and her going?! And I couldn't find someone else to go with!? Her action was not acceptable...not a good friend in my book.  but i'm not too terribly upset because it worked out better in the end for everyone involved! :)


Calories have been decent for over a month. Nothing too crazy on the high end. I can do this...I haven't really stuck to my plan of creating a deficit but I have stuck to being more accountable.

The plan for the next two weeks is simply to stick with it...keep calories in check and aim for a deficit on days when it's possible :) my bday is just shy of a month away. Goal is simply to be happy on that day lol!

Trying for a couple lbs loss but also trying not to get anxious about losing weight. Looking forward to having several days off in September for the Jewish holidays so I can rest up a bit :)


Early morning snacking: 2 plums and kombucha around 150.

10:30 before gym: plum 50, coconut water 50, wrap with kale veggie patty 200, turkey jerky (really good buffalo flavor by Boar's Head) 150 = 450 or so total.

total so far today: 600, good.

during gym: large banana 150, after gym small banana 120.


Protein bar 230.

1100 :)

not gonna be crazy low cal today, aiming for maybe 2000?

Probably around 2250, good.

yes, I like that goal :) And it's very possible considering that the end of this month my boss goes on vaca....and then September i'll have a bunch of days off (September will be the easiest month I have until March!)...so yes, I like your idea!

At beach for the day! Kombucha and a mint 100...., small banana 100. 200...

2 orange peppers 100, turkey jerky 150, cucumber 50, chips 150, Bai drink... 650...

push pop 70, coconut water 90. gonna just say 150.

total so far: 800.

dinner Lots of mostly veggies, in sauce, 400? and a chocolate collagen protein bar. 230.

total around 1400. excellent.

Actually more like 1500 - fruit later on.

No real exercising, mostly relaxing on beach. No extra walking besides getting to my spot on the beach. I did good.  Ankle bothers me yes, but, I am starting to see it as more of a mental thing that I need to get over it and move forward again.  This week I will be focusing on being stronger and actually ignoring my ankle as I look to enjoy a concert tomorrow night as well as Thursday night.

Sunday: gym followed by a concert at the beach later on.  I'll be picking up a friend from another part of Queens and taking her to Long Island with me to meet a couple other friends for a concert. I'll get home late, around midnight. Looking to sleep in on Monday...

Monday: taking this day off from work. Sleeping in and doing laundry. Only real plans are to actually do my laundry, go to physical therapy, and meet my dad for dinner. I also need to return a bumper bully bc it doesn't fit my car!...yeah....but I may wait to do it until Friday...gonna look into seeing if I can return it...

Tuesday- work, followed by gym.

Wednesday- work, followed by PT

Thursday - work till 2pm and hopefully leaving early for a concert in the city.

Friday - day off, not sure, was hoping to meet up with my crush for happy hour but now this looks dismal...hopefully things will change but totally not sure.... :/ If I don't meet up with my guy friend, i'll sleep in, return the bumper bully...and...we'll see. maybe beach. just not sure about Friday...

That's the plan for my week. It's a little too busy, but, we'll see.

1450 before dinner. Dinner was tons of veggies - 2 cups at least of broccoli 100also around over 1 cup cooked spinach 100, and then green beans, cabbage and other veggies 100?, turkey jerky 150, chips 230, plum 50. 750 at most.

Emotionally exhausted today at work...but I got to speak to my crush at lunch on the phone!!!!!

1200 after lunch and looking forward to going to the gym after work today!

1650 before gym. perfect combo of stuff because I didn't need a snack during my workout...was raisins, followed half hour later by 2 plums (smallish) and a natural bar of mostly nuts (very low sugar).

after gym: had like a serving and a half of chips and a chocolate Quest protein bar. love them, to me they are like brownies lol. 400 or so here.

total today: around 2050, very good.

and a good workout at the gym. fast.

now I can relax and shower and read.

all in all, looking back on this week from Sunday, I did a decent job and i'm proud of myself.  My digestion has been overall pretty good this week. No crazy problems like last week. I made better choices, ate in my calorie range, especially from Tuesday on.   So i'm happy going into the weekend. And happy to get some sleep and relaxing reading done.
