breakfast: huge bowl of nice oatmeal w. flax, extra tofu 40, yogurt 100, small banana 60: 400 :-)

snack: protein bar 250

lunch: big turkey sandwich, but  not too big, 450, veggies 100: 550 oh and  a few almonds. 600.

snacking: TONS of whole vegetables and a big apple in car lol after work: 350 :-)

dinner: grilled chicken on salad with some other veggies, little bit croutons and small bag chips: 300-400 or so.

total: 1900-2000.

exercise: just some walking between errands after work. i was really tired.

and i have to be at work very early and don't wanna get no sleep again.


Progress as of today: 10 lbs lost so far, only 4 lbs to go!

breakfast: persimmon around 100, oatmeal w. flax 200, yogurt 100: 400. good :-)

snack: protein bar 220, crackers 30

lunch:1/2 turkey sandwich big, squash 120, maybe fruit.  maybe chips. 500 total

kinda big snack: 2 huge apples, big red pepper, some marinated veggies: 400.

dinner: huge salad, but also a protein bar: 450.

total around 2,000. good.

exercise: weights but cut short, 40 min? and 35 min cardio, jogging mostly :-D

up at 3:30am becuse i haven't been sleeping enough and too much time spent at work...not enough exercise, especially cardio. my skin keeps breaking out on the temples of my forehead.

Progress as of today: 10 lbs lost so far, only 4 lbs to go!

Breakfast: oatmeal 210, greek yogurt 80, protein bar 220: 510. good!  maybe i'll be less hungry in the morning at work with the added protein...

snack: another protein bar...220

lunch: turkey sandwich, carrots, chips, apple?

snack: BIG red pepper, big apple

ate too damn much later in the evening: instead of a protein bar after working out, i had a half a wrap and large soup. was very filling, and in some ways higher calories but HEALTHIER than all the fake of a protein bar. i had a creamy butternut squash soup and healthy half a chicken wrap. but still around 550-600 cals.

total: 1900-2000 cal. is ok. no binging! :-)

exercise: 40 min of good cardio. little bit of arm weights and back for a few minutes, too.

ok, i am deciding to forget about the binge after thanksgiving and just work to keep up the exercise and what i've been doing, because aside from that day i was very successful in losing weight...i'm gonna keep doing what i've been doing and FORGET about trying to even out calories.

I think I had a breakthrough yesterday by understanding that eating too much leads me directly to binges. This is so odd, but the more I eat, the more I want to eat more! I realized I needed to avoid eating too much. The problem is, by the time I notice, I have already overeaten and franatically packing more. What I really hate about myself in these cases is picking up the last pieces of food from the tray in the middle of the table WHILE I still have some of the same stuff on my plate. Just to be sure that nobody picks them up before me... AHHHHHH. And I am still unable to control this! It's so embarrassing, so ... STOOPID!

Menu looks good. I do well with eating a bowl of porridge with a few raisins and crushed almonds and skimmed milk. I eat between 7.30 and 8 and start to get hungry about 11.30ish. Might try to find some protein bars for my long flight though.

I'm just getting caught up with everyone, and was happy to read about your date. Sounds like it went pretty well. I agree that doing something casual like shopping at Target is a sign of being comfortable with each other.

The acupuncture sounded scary! It sounds like that guy made some pretty bad mistakes. At least you got out with your eye in tact! If you feel like your ankle is doing better, that's great. Maybe just a different person next time!

breakfast at 5:30am, couldn't sleep! Banana, cheddar goldfish, oatmeal, cottage cheese: 550

snack at 9am: protein bar, drink 250

noon lunch: tried to make a tasty pudding! failed! so bad...haha. 210, nice greek yogurt 100, cheddar goldfish 260, kombucha 60: 630. good!

3:45 big snack: chocolate pudding that almost tasted good haha 250, persimmon 100: 350...and goldfish crackers 130

dinner: turkey sub from subway with lots of pickles, sweet peppers, and jalepenos on it - YUM!

2250 calories. good day!

exercise: 40 min bike ride, 4.5 mi walk with mom, 1.5 hr weights. NICE.  :-D

Saturday: lol, editing today because I had  no internet pretty much all weekend! so glad it's back!

Saturday calories were good, 2200 calories. no binging. happy.

exercise: 30 min walk in AM, mall in the PM.

saw my best friend, brought her when i went to visit my grandma for dinner, then friend and i shopped at the mall a bit in the evening till around 10pm. overall great day.

4am: two protein bars, woke up hungry lol. 440

7:30am breakfast: shake (was supposed to be a pudding but was liquidy) vanilla pudding sugar free mix, banana, 1/4 cup pumpkin, tablespoon chia seeds that i bought from either GNC or Vitamin World lol - i forget which store but probably both carry them, some milk, cinnamon: 350, then a few rice cakes 60 & protein bar 220. total here: 630 or so, good.

total so far: 1070, yes feeling bingy at night and at breakfast, typical for me on/after a holiday. i'll have to stay busy and keep myself occupied lol....don't want to have a bad day.

10am snacking: rice cakes: 200, cheddar goldfish 260, pringles 220, hugest brownie 600, two slices pumpkin pie 650: 1930 lol....

3000 so far. i gave in...but i do plan to go the the park and gym today. i figure up to 4500 calories or so today.

4500 cal so far, 3pm- lots of cake/candy...oh well, if i'm gonna go all out with the eating, let me just keep it to today and not tomorrow. that's my plan. i kinda crapped out on being anywhere near healthy today - i think i'd be eating too much sugar free stuff - which also brings on binging with me. that and the combination of holiday food in the house. it's over though - i'll be OK.

6000 total calories on Friday. (extra 4000 cal above my needs.)

Well.....the accupuncture appointment was "interesting" to say the least. I've always wanted to try. I also use student massage therapists, I'd use a student accupuncturist, probably, too. I will have to think about the dating situation a little so I may have comments later. Basically I say see how it goes, proceed a bit cautiously and time will tell/you will know if there is real relationship potential there or if it's just a right now thing.

Acupuncture was overall an interesting experience. I had it done at a school for massage/acupuncture by probably a senior student.  He was a 60 yr old male and he did make a couple poor mistakes: when he was putting some rubbing alcohol at the bridge of my nose, between my eyes, he accidentally let it drip to get right into the corners right next to my eyes!!!!!!!!!!!  Thank god, my eyes had been closed and the alcohol did not actually reach inside my eyes! If it did, I have no idea of the consequences but I assure you they would be horrible!

this man made was that he was doing first acupuncture on the front of my body and then was going to do acupunture also face down. He started face up.  I must also mention that he decided to also put a few needles right directly below my breasts.  I think he might have been doing this just because I am a young female, 29 yrs old, and he just wanted to do my abdomen and really close to the breast tissue?

The other royally bad mistake was that after doing my first half the body, face up, he went to remove all needles and have me turn over.  I started to turn, and then realized there was STILL ONE NEEDLE in my ankle! yeah, so thankfully I noticed it and asked him to pull it out. I was thankful that he didn't do any needles in my scalp/head and/or forget to leave those in!

The 1.5 hour appt started a half hour late and he was rushing, as well. I did get my full time, but I could tell he was still rushing.  I came for two things: lower back pain and left ankle pain: It may just be in my imaginatino, but i think my left ankle IS DOING BETTER and is slightly stronger due to the acupuncture. I am thinking of continuing with some acupuncture for my left ankle. I broke it 10 years ago, really badly, and it didn't heal that well. I get pain and weakness often.  But lately i've been able to start jogging! especially after this acupuncture. It is relatively inexpensive, because it's a school, so now i just have to find a GOOD acupuncturist/student/....it's always guess & test with these kinds of health aids, you know?  Same kinda idea with massage when you get it done at a school - you obviously cannot expect to find someone fully experienced and solid in performance in what they do. We all have to start somewhere...


Okay, now the date update! I have been dating this guy since the summer...but really only the summer though labor day and then our schedule were conflicting so it took till last weekend. We did stay in touch each week though and texted often, like probably at least 3-4 days every single week. We have known each other for probably around 5 years, but only have gone out maybe 10 times.  I think he's a really nice guy, not a player, and we'll see how it continues with us...

Last weekend we went to a healthy food & environmental fair. It was something he wanted to do and I of course was excited to go with him.  Overall, I had a good time.  We ate good food and enjoyed each other's company. I met one of his bosses and his boss even gave me a little gift at the end of the night, just to be nice and everything! I thought it was so nice and genuine, being that his boss had just met me! 

After that, we quickly went shopping for him which I thought was so cool because we went to Target and usually that's an activity that is done when you are more officially a couple, right? A few dates ago, we wouldn't have done something so routine or laid back.  The date would be treated more formally, so I'm glad we are more comfortable enough with each other to go into Target together. Perhaps this sounds weird, but that's just how I feel....

 After Target, we went to the mall to check out movies, none of which we liked. So we went to the bar and I had a big glass of tasty beer and he had two. (a place known for the unique beers from all over the world).  We were more flirty and everything with the beer and also conversation went even better of course. We went back to his house and you know how the rest goes. This isn't the first time we've enjoyed each other like that...and I hope he likes me more than for this reason.  I enjoy being with him as well and don't want that aspect to stop, but I do realize we have to continue to get to know each other, which we are. I feel that if we can now see each other more regularly, things can progress into a relationship.  If we can't I will have to decide if it's worth continuing to pursue him at all.

If you guys have feedback, I'd love your honest opinions, even if you don't agree with some of my feelings. I'd love to hear your critique of my situation! and thank you!  :-)

weight: around 125.5! yay. after today, haha, probably still good! :-) weight does fluctuate, ya know!? :-)

total calories after thanksgiving dinner: around 2600-2700 calories today = GREAT! :-)  HAPPY THANKSGIVING, right!?  I had a large slice of pumpkin pie for dessert.

 I will just say 3000 cal on Thanksgiving, 1000 extra cal above my needs.

breakfast: really cool chia seed drink that i had bought and now had the time to enjoy. 110, protein bar 220: 330 :-D

maybe going back to sleep now!...haha, slept two more hours from 8am-11am. could probably sleep even more lol.

snack: big apple 100

1200 calories before thanksgiving dinner :-D

off to run an errand to the supermarket for my mom, then i must update about the date... and acupuncture!

around 2100-2200. some healthy some unhealthy. overall OK calories for sure - nothing astronomically high, so that's good.

exercise: 25 min cardio, hour weights. was very exhausted but glad i went!

If I take Benedryl or anything with dyphenhydramine (sp) in it, I wake up in the middle of the night with huge hunger and cannot go back to sleep unless I eat. It is crazy! Have a great day!
