i stepped on the scale and i'm magically 5lbs heavier!? ouch. maybe bc it's 9pm and not 6am! ....fri morning i stepped on again and it's back down, just hovering under 115. so i'm good ;) my clothes have been fitting well and only thing bothering me is my sudden decrease in strength due to skipping 2-3 sessionsin December. Back on track now though, even during vacation i'll figure it out!

So on fb, some friends form elementary school starting a conversation to have a reunion in summer. And i'm thinking to myself almost an automatic NO. The reason is because some of them defriended me and i defriended some of them on fb. why go!? :) i don't think i'll be attending.  It's not scheduled yet, they are just thinking to do it in summertime. But at this right, with limited free time in life and all, i don't see myself attending. Maybe if i could bring someone, but, why hang out with people i'm not even friends with on fb? yeah, not going :)

there are some smaller personalities (not the grand ones that i don't care to see) that might go...so if enough "nice" people go, i may reconsider...if there are nice people there, well, it might be worth giving them a hug :)

Really starting to feel Florida's approaching...i'm a bit all over the place...and working alone these two days in this quiet room is a little much ...! for real!  because my thoughts keep drifting to Florida!  And it's getting me a bit....jittery!

Kombucha 50

8;30 Light breakfast: chocolates and coffee 150

9:30 LINDOR chocoloate with coconut milk in it. amazing. enjoying :) 100

10:30am Snack: wrap 120, egg 80, half avocado 150: 350.,

12pm Noon Almonds 50

1pm Lunch: from home, leftovers, all healthy: chicken sausage 100, rest of my mashed cauliflower 100, tomatoes 50, and chips 150. total here: 400.

3pm Snacks: clementine and teas so far... 50 and few more almonds, minimal cals.

5:30pm or so Snack before workout: coffee that i'm taking from work 50 and a granola bar 100 of some sort from my desk at work (i'm prepared)

During workout eats: 3 bananas...

After workout eats: thinking cooked cranberries and yogurt? yup. a very heavy, 9% full fat siggis yogurt vanilla flavor. it was just great after tons of cranberries. 300

Then, HAPPY FRIDAY!

2000 today. lately i feel thin, not sure what's up with the scale.

6 day avg: 2108, excellent!

 WELL! I HAD A MOST INTERESTING MORNING COMMUTE. Basically, it was sorta a date you can say.  it was an uplanned commute in halfway with someone i know. we rode the subway together and then walked the whole way together to my workplace as he had a few more blocks to go but my work was totally on the way to his. lol. crazy. it's the single guy i have been texting with lately. i don't reach out though, not chasing. but, it's fun. he is pretty easy to talk to...he's fun for now. I think i'll be "hanging out' with him when i come back from my trip in February....yea probably.  He's prob around 50, but myself being 36, it's not even 15 years...i prefer men slightly older.

So i'm glad i cleaned the hamster cage. it was TOTALLY overdue! and where it mostly pees, my hammy was biting away at the cage and it's still safe and hammy can't escape, but she did totally bite a dent with her teeth quite deep into the plastic.  Maybe the urine helps soften the plastic making it easier to bite thru...i would have prevented this, maybe, by cleaning the cage more often. It'd probably been one month since last FULL cleaning. no worries. now it's clean :)

A lot went on last night involving phone calls with two people, both longer calls.  made for a busier night and bed not as early as i wanted, but still at a good time around 10pm.  

Progress as of today: 0 lbs lost so far, only 2 lbs to go!

My oldest daughter's birthday is coming up in February. Now I'm thinking about surprising her with a hamster. I've got a month to think about it, so who knows......

they are very easy to care for as you know. at first, hamsters are timid and fearful. but after a week you can totally be picking them up and putting them in their exercise balls for 30min-hour per day. then after a month it's like they were with you all along :) that's cute as a gift.

10 p.m., nice. I tried to go to bed around 9:30, but I was up thinking (exactly what I said I wanted to do less of this year) for a good two hours before I finally fell asleep.

yes, it was pretty fun. i had no problem sleeping but also woke up a couple times to use the bathroom and possibly because my brain was still running all night after tons of talking on the phone close to bed ;)

I think about all kinds of things really, LOL. That night I was thinking about things with BF. He's been spending this week with his daughter before taking her home (she lives 10 hours away), and I always find it difficult to cope with my emotions about spending even less time with him than usual. I've never been with anyone who has kids, so it's New Territory for me, and I have trouble navigating sometimes :)

HEY ALL! HAPPY WEDNESDAY, SHORT WORK WEEK!

Kombucha 50

Bar from a friend protein bar with choc chips made with steiva, pretty good, 200, coffee 50, and a homemade "creampuff" was so good! 150-200 (was small)

Snack: wrap 120, egg 70, 1/2 avocado 150. 350. (glad to not waste the two very ripe avocados i've had in the fridge and eating 1/2 at a time due to their ripeness and moreso to get the healthy fats in as my face is a little irritated and blotchy..and avocado tends to help).

Noon dark chocolate raisinets 50.

...hungry day but healthy eats pretty much :) moderation :)

Healthy lunch: frozen bird's eye mashed cauliflower (multiple servings) 100, leftover from freezer corned beef 200 !! yum! maybe some chips (have a new big bag here to enjoy at work these couple weeks).

Snacks: i have 4 clementines 100 and almonds 100 :) and prob a chocolate later, too. 50. 250 total in healthy snacks.

Dinner: I have a lot of leftovers. thinking a wrap with the remaining Indian palak creamed spinach.  and 100 cal butter popcorn (and it's good - so no more orville redenbachers brand that is 200 cal!) . 550 cal or so.

2050 cal today!!!!

grrrr so my workout was very weak as i think i skipped a day of workouts for two weeks i skipped a workout each week. my pushups were so bad...who knows why. not worried, but it was frustrating!  i was poor at all exercises EXCEPT legs & abs. legs and abs were great!  it's ok, i know what to do...KEEP ON. :)

but i have already lost minor strength due to skipping a few workouts in December. not sure how many, probably 2 or 3 and yes, that's def enough to screw up maintaining strength when you have desk job and the only exercise you do is added into your days manually by yourself!....lol.

but i'll be fine. def cannot add more stress or thoughts now. i have florida on my mind. but work is busy enough and i'm distracted enough to just do the work and stop thinking about even planning miami right now. my mind is done. looking forward to hamster cage cleaning and sleep.

Plan is to take it easy on even the walking today....i MUST clean the hamster cage tonight. as the hamster has decided to play near her hardened pee area and smells like urine. weird!  hamsters are usually clean but since yesterday she has a lingering urine smell on her = bad Jackie for not cleaning the cage....?  overall it's clean and i spot clean and it doesn't smell or anything...but it's time. that's really more important tonight than an entire 3mi walk. i may just walk 1 mi in the evening part of the bus route - that'll be ENOUGH!

Wish we had a "rent-a-pet" store around here. I don't want the responsibility of another pet, but the girls would enjoy getting to play with a new one for 1-7 days in a row.

Hamsters are almost no work though... :) all other pets, no so much!!!! dogs...even cats....everything else is def more work than a lil' hammy! :)

I wouldn't stress too much over your workouts. It's nice to have a plan and a routine with goals in mind, but being too strict about it can be detrimental to your overall emotional health! Go after your goals, with reason and intention! This is definitely gonna be your year :)

you are absolutely right in pushing me to just try to get thru without the added extra emotional stress ;) i'm really good at adding that into the mix :)

i will just keep trying my best then...going forward and never regret past decisions...that's a good goal to try to not regret not doing things. a decision is a decision and you can't fix it when it's done ;)

Hey all! After my walk, I cannot wait to catch up on everyone's entries! We have a major high going on in terms of entries and active members on DD woohoo!!! 10 of us have posted in the past 24 hours or so! yay!

Couple chocolate covered almonds 50, seltzer

10:30am Breakfast wrap 120, with chicken sausage 100, and lots of indian palak (creamed spinach). 250? 450.  Feel like i just want some kombucha to totally rid myself of liquidy issue in my intestines..550

1pm: protein rice krispie treat 2 servings 280, almond milk 50. 350...and off to walk after relaxing and sorta organizing (my head!?) for 2 hours!? where did the time just go? it did include a shower but time is just FLYING. i'm off to walk at an open park safe and sunny with good parking.  Not the best eating, but tasty. I really need to get outside in the sun now!

3mi walk at park....nice and sunny, just cool, but very windy. very nice! 

3pm late meal after walking: granola bar in car 100, followed by wrap 80, egg 70, half avocado 150. total here 400 and chips 100

now to start thinking about packing...feeling tired after the walk, so, just gonna comment her on DD...think about packing...start packing a little bit...and hope to feel up to weightlifting. if i'm not up to it, i'll skip it until tomorrow.

6pm snack before weightlifting at home after some mishmosh packing job (good enough for me...still some things to add, but chose the clothes and packed most toiletries) better than not starting. 

6pm big apple 100, another reese's granola bar (pretty good) 100 and a coffee now. 50. 250.

during small banana & another banana and realized one of my sugar free drinks is giving me bad heartburn so i poured it out and took tums. grrr. may need to stop drinking these. 250

Due to the stress and lack of stress and ups and downs of the weekend, my stomach has churning and i have been using the bathroom extremely frequently all weekend. things are just running right thru me. so before i go for a week, i'd like to sit a bit on my couch and relax and enjoy the heavier, filling breakfast i wrote about above.

NYE was really nice. With friends since senior year of college.

The weather last night for driving to the New Year's party was HORRIBLE. Rain was pouring and hard to see road. Roads were slippery. I hated the drive but managed it. I didn't go on the highway over 45mph.  It was not possible with my crappy low to the ground car tires and old car. Mostly I had to go 42 or so mph. not even 45. Two a**holes had the nerve to shine their brights at me! Can they night see i'm going slow in the middle lane because i have a low to the ground car with cruddy tires and i don't want to be Hydroplaning? I think the brites came both times from bigger vehicles that navigate VERY slippery dark roads well. People all over were driving horrible, speeding, in a pretty terrbile rain storm. After the drive, knowing it would still be raining at midnight, I told her I'd be really happy to sleep over! Best decision ever. The drive home this morning was cake. Roads were clear and the 30 min drive flew by.  I stopped at the supermarket and to drop off a library book in their outdoor return slot.  I may go for a walk, the temperature is gradually dipping, but when i drove home at 10am, it was 60! Happy New Year indeed! It's a sunny, beautiful day after the storm. Back down to 45 later in afternoon.

This is Monday's entry. dec. 31.

Throughout the night: apple, small banana 200

9am-10am apple again, larger type. 100, wrap 80, egg 70, leftover indian eggplant/onion/carrot spread 150. 400, final piece of pumpkin cheesecake from the fridge 200

drinking some sugar free, caffeine free beverages at home :) and just relaxing while doing laundry. the house party tonight doesn't start till 8pm so i'm not even starting baking till later this afternoon (like 3pm or something!)

1:30pm lunch (didn't even have much of an appetite until now and have been just lethargic so relaxing and sleeping) wrap 80, rest of the baby eggplant indian dish 150?, and a chicken sausage 100. 350, excellent. . And clementine 50

porceeded to fall asleep after llaundry was done from like 3-5:30...just in time to wake up and bake really anything :)

6pm Reece's pb cup and liquids....wow...just wanna be home really. i'll feel better later.

stomach is sorta upset and my body is a bit still whacky not sure why. could be the types of food i was eating yesterday also, as it was all sorta atypical for me...the whole day...no issue about it though it was fun. i was in and out of the bathroom all evening, night and this AM. weird.

just resting today and starting laundry soon....

well the laundry machine was occupied so i kept my stuff down, ready to go there at 11am again to start laundry, but accidentally fell asleep on the couch till noon...fine by me :)

OKAY, i have a leftover bottle of xanax from two years ago sitting in my apt. i took one, dose was .25mg alprazolam. not embarassed to say it.  i had used only 2 pills previously, in 2016, so now i've taken a third. good.

so, the dose i took today is like 1/8 xanax. should be fine.

Today i'm getting a little organized. No exercise at all today...i luckily got it in last evening because i wasn't about to skip out on it as it's a priority to myself so that's good i walked last night around one hour :) dressed warm and used hand warmers that i inserted into my gloves.

Today is Baking and Laundry. that's it. then going to my friend's house tonight at 8pm and quite possibly i will sleep over there and drive home in DAYLIGHT in the morning. this is quite possible. i'm not so into doing the drive at night. so it depends how i feel at midnight.

Trying to do less right now as i'm starting to stress about the drive tonight as well as packing, etc. :) i'm good. i just realize i need to get a move on...especially with my laundry including of course bed sheets and the whole mix.

next, tomorrow i only have ONE task besides a workout to do. and it's to do MOST of my packing for Florida. I leave 1/9 but i'm leaving fully in the morning on that Wednesday and hells i'm not going to pack the Tuesday night after work before that morning for a 2-week trip. i'm not bringing much, only carry-ons because i can do laundry there. :) also, next weekend is BUSY. like, pretty busy. so, i just want the packing mostly done before this week to come. so tomorrow, i'll work out at my apt in the later afternoon, after i've packed for Florida :) (mostly packed...i'm sure i'll wash some jeans or something next weekend to add into what i'll wear on the plane. but in terms of shampoos and all...it's gotta be packed tomorrow :)  otherwise, after a very busy sunday next weekend back in NYC...i'm going to be stressing hard about packing...so, yeah, i'll accomplish it tomorrow night most of it :)

Woke up around 3am and just relaxing and searching the web for awhile, till at least 5am. No worries and it's probably a good thing since tonight is New year's and i'm going to spend it out on Long Island at a friend's house before driving back home. It's like a half hour without traffic...not thrilled to do the drive but it's better than sleeping there i think. but as i keep writing this, i'm starting to think to sleep over her house and to then just sneak out in morning. I'm not eager to drive home at midnight, really. we'll see how i feel later. i may just bring a blanket and pillow and sleep at her house as she offered to everyone. just, i don't know if everyone will want to sleep or shup up come midnight, but i can always go to the bathroom, wash my face, and "leave the party" to go to bed if i want to...she'll understand i'm sure! it'd be better to sleep at her house i think, then drive home in the dark and while i'm sleepy. again, i'll see how i feel later but i'm thinking to just sleep at her house (and leave before eating breakfast (crap) at her house the next day. she loves desserts lol.

 

i just realized, no worries, i can also just work out back at my apt. duh. i may as well sleep over her house into Tuesday :)

Woke up at 3:30am here myself and decided to get a jump on catching up on my workload after getting back from vacation.

Personally I tend to stay off the roads on New Years Eve. Don't want to deal with higher chance of drunk drivers or additional police presence.

yeah...i may just sleep over her house...as long as i can just walk away and crash and pray people don't wanna KEEP PARTYING until 2am...also she may need to clean...then i'd have to help her clean for an hour...may just need to drive home. grrr.

Funny how upcoming things seem so distant and then something just changes and it seems so close. That perception just changed for me concerning your Florida trip. You've been talking about it for awhile and in my mind it's been quite-aways off. Now that tomorrow is January, your trip suddenly seems super close in time.

My boss leaves for Florida on Thursday morning, so Wednesday will be his last day at the office (yay!), and it won't be a full day, either. Your adventure starts about a week afterwards. Warm weather right now sounds so nice!

when i walked alone in the evening, i stuck some hand warmers in my gloves and the walk became much easier :)

Glad the weather is decent for someone. Just got home to heavy snow. Tomorrow's high is supposed to be around 17 degrees, with a low around zero. Have fun at the hibachi.....

 8am breakfat oatmeal 150, protein powder 100, almond milk 20, stevia, Craisins 130, salt Kombucha 100. 500 :) caffeine drink bai. and some caffeine in the kombucha.

11am snack: wrap 80 with chicken sausage and spicy mustard 100. 200.

12:45 small chocolate, apple 100, light caffeine Zevia drink ..Mountain "zevia" flavor. 

1:30 2% fave yogurt with cooked cranberries 200...now to finish my book, then more carbs and gym :)

3:00pm wrap 80 with Indian Palak (creamed spinach) spread 200? and egg white 20

total so far: 1300, excellent, off to gym, getting there just before 4pm today.

200 in bananas at gym...

after gym: wrap 80, egg and egg white 100, and some of the indian eggplant spread (bigger amount but healthy) 200? 400...still hungry though!..popcorn 200.

not many plans today except my goal for a big gym day. I'm a bit wiped out and happy to relax a lot at home :-) maybe bake maybe laundry but I can wait to do these things later on the long weekend :-)

i took a sleeping pill last night so having some extra caffeine today to get some of the grogginess away. feeling good after a great sleep and relaxation. :) vacuumed and cleaned up a little. happy :) fridge is stocked with food. don't need the grocery store except if i want to buy almond milk because i'm running low. i just cooked chicken sausages, 90 cal each. everything is good. relaxing.

part of relaxing was to just clean up a little.  take a look at what's in my fridge and i'm so glad i stopped to get veggies at supermarket last night. one less thing to do over the next few days :) I"m actually good for the week ahead already!

I'm also finishing a book which i'll drop at the library. :) and i have another book, i'll try to return it and take it back out...so i have all the renewals. i'd like to take it with me to Florida to read on the beach, hopefully...or even in the apt backyard i'm staying at.

For Fort Lauderdale (miami) where i'm staying, i haven't put any plans in place. all actual plans will be made when i'm there with my friend. it's too much to plan any other way. I should have car to borrow of hers, so really i shouldn't have too many problems getting anyplace once i'm there. i'll be there a long time, so i'm really not worried about "fitting things in." whatever happens, happens!

also, in terms of the gym, i've realized that if i miss a day each week while in florida, i'm ok with it. really i'd just like to see at least 2 workouts per week while i'm there so as now to come back to NY much weaker.  it's more important to get the experiences in...but at least getting to the gym 2x each week should be doable, considering my friend WILL be working at least a few of the days i'm there...she'll also be taking some days off though. 

obviously, her being my host, i'll be going along with her schedule, whatever it is! so yeah, the gym is a priority to do whlile in florida, but, my first priority is also to make plans whenever she wants to...as obviously my schedule is flexible!

tomorrow i'll see my friend Jen again. the one from the "house key" incident. we're going to a light breakfast, a walk!!!!, and a "free lunch" as we have a gift certificate worth $25 (from over a year ago when we went together...) and the lunch will not be too much more than $25 tomorrow! :) it's hibachi japanese where they cook in front of you! but, i wanted to fit in exercise, so, i asked if she'd walk at a really cool park by her and she said yes :)

Interesting ideas of things to add to hot cereal...I plan to use some cacao powder and some raisins and nuts in the near future....and powdwred peanut butter....they all sound so good.....love the protein powder idea too.

i bought the craisins a huge package on sale! i really wanted the "50%" less sugar kind but they weren't on sale and the package was so small. the difference in calories was hardly anything, so i settled with the huge bag of regular Craisins. they are so good. I got them to add to a honey cake i'm making. it calls for sliced almonds, but i'll also add the craisins in. Someone at work challenged me to make it. So i'd like to make it this weekend :)...in a lower carb variety, but still with the craisins which wouldn't make it keto, but still tasty! :)

Haven't been to a hibachi restaurant in a few years. Liked taking my daughters to them a few times when they were younger. The food was always good, but the "show" was the main reason for going back then.....

Kombucha such a cool flavor - a very nice, tart cherry. must find this brand again! 50 (i had bought it near my parent's house...so maybe i will not find this brand again by me!)

8:30 Breakfast: whipped cream with extra pumpkin pie spice on top of my homemade pumpkin pie cheesecake!! this was too good but not filling enough. 400

10am coconut milk chocolate truffle (Lindor) and a few pistachios 100, herbal tea with caffeine, didn't realize it had caffeine...a hisbiscus flavor i had bought, not green tea.

11:30 Snack: salt and vinegar almonds 100

Lunch: veggie soup 130 and turkey burger 220 from home. skipped having my chips. 350, light and nice. later a clementine 50.

I want this day to be 2000 cal or less. should be easy now!

5pm healthy dinner: takeout from the city on my way home Indian Eggplant dish, good sized serving of it i took for dinner 300?, tofu at home 100, rice cakes 70. total here: approx 450. and an apple 100. 550.

6:30 dessert - cooked cranberries 60, raspberry greek yogurt 140, whipped cream 120. approx 300

total today is great: 1900

7day avg: 2115 - EXCELLENT

and we ended leaving work at 1:30pm so i went home, paid my rent and put $ on my laundry card at the housing office. and went for a small grocery shopping mostly veggies, some yogurt, and nuts. very basic shopping, just picked up the sliced almonds for a dessert i want to make :)

after running errands i'm really tired, so may just sleep very early tonight..tomorrow is a gym day and i think i may  do laundry tomorrow also or if not laundry, baking and cooking.

maybe baking another type of treat tonight, one that one of the engineer's at my company actually requested, a Keto Honey Cake, popular in Russia and Jewish culture which of both she is!

Laundry for me tomorrow too...so nice that you got out of work early......The cake sounds delish!!! I have some rice cakes here too...and I never think of using them.......good idea....and a good base for peanut butter or almond butter....i can see me using those for my evening meal.....i'm trying to eat lighter because heavy meals are just starting to be a problem.......

i like to put spreads (veggie spreads) on the rice cakes. it makes them less dry and it's instead of using regular rice, as rice cakes are puffed up and lower cals...peanut butter on them i like, but it doesn't fill me up, lol. so i go with spreads and use the rice cakes as, obviously, the carb.

when i do takeout from the indian places as well as an israeli place by me, the veggies are cooked in a lot of sauce. it's sometimes a bit thick and nice and spreadable like in a sandwich or on rice cakes or crackers :) they do sell spreads also...the brand is....

the brand Sabra has a lot of choices, some healthier than others. the hummus spreads are healthy but high calories, their veggie spreads i would buy though. only reason i don't buy them is the option for even fresher options like the ones i can get at restaurants. i'm not up to making my own just yet. :)

Did the walk, got the 7-11 decaf coffee, and got the haircut since because there's no traffic including no train traffic today i got near the barbershop earlier than expected. the haircut is so nice, i'm so lucky! i don't need to make appts or anything and the guy gives me a better haircut than $50 dollar places! thank gosh! he's approx 70yrs old and does a mean haircut!

 

Plan is to take a less exercise approach today as tomorrow i'll do the long walk home from subway before tomorrow's storm. and get some decent sleep as last night i was up late exercising :) maybe buy a decaf coffee halfway along the route :) (1.5mi in..)

 

And then...happy friday :) ahh, friday weather says rain but warm. i'll just walk tomorrow anyways, tonight i'm sleepin'

Haircut tonight. tomorrow it's $16 right off the bus near home. i'd rather do it today than in the "rush" friday with everyone else. i have to tip well, as it's a barbershop but he does an awesome job for $16, i give him total $25. have to. it's a women's really nice haircut. decided no highlights for awhile, saving money...that would have been at least $150. Don't have that to blow out the window. i may start just dying my hair one color since i may have some gray, very little, but i don't like it. so i may just start dying my hair brown and call it a day.  ..but i'll miss the highlights a lot!

Tonight thru most of the weekend will be healthier, continuing to sleep well, less indulgent as i'm making the effort now to by MORE TRANSPARENT with myself (not lying to myself that it can't be done!) and just quit the extras a bit and my emphasis will be in getting calorie averages in the next two weeks around 2000/day and not 2200/day.

Lunch: from home...def on a sorta tight budget right now....(too much spending on groceries - way overboard includng more pyrex large glass food storage containers, spices and flavorings, almond flour, frozen items...extras in the food dept in general, small gifts for coworkers, and a necklace i bought for $120 out of nowhere at a holiday market held inside Grand Central Terminal 42nd street this weekend)

Lunch was my soup with a mix of bone broth and chicken broth 50, lots of added herbs on top of that while cooking, veggies 50, turkey burger 220, and lots of these very cheesy (but i like them) cauliflower crackers 180. total here: 500 healthy....

3pm snack of one chocolate 50

4pm: water, clementine 50..trying to take it easy :)

Snack pre-home workout tonight: coffee (FROM WORK!) 50, bar of some sort 80

Extra workout snack: banana, for sure, all my fun drinks, maybe another 3 clementines, chocolates  :)

After workout: light ice cream 200, calling it a night :)

with plans canceled tomorrow after work, there's no reason why i cannot have a healthy, moderate cal day. Same for Friday. need to dial it back and just relax alone a bit i think.

Thursday after work plans are cancelled bc one of the people i'm meeting, their mom was in the hospital and just came home so they want to spend time with her....i wished her a fast recovery (not sure why she was there...) and actually do not mind going right home tomorrow after work at all!...it was becoming too much this week anyways! :) i'd rather rest up since things are still busy now and with fitting exercise in!

I got here to work on time, despite the train delays simply because the bus ride was fast (due to less people on the road!) and not too many people were riding so less congestion! :) amazing.

I had some indigestion last night. lately, i get it off and on. mostly due to eating before bed.

i was up for an hour or so at night looking at my phone, but sleep was great on the long weekend in general, so i'm not worried, just sayin' what's going on :)

 I now have really nice tea i bought at the supermarket with packet of stevia (provided by work!) since i sit by the cold/hot water cooler :)...decided to have more teas this year as long as i'm sitting in this office...works out perfectly!  LOL

8:30-9 Breakfast: Small piece of my pumpkin cheesecake 130, so good, oatmeal 100, made with some protein powder (i always get samples when i go to Vitamin Shoppe so it seems i don't need to buy it on my own any time soon :) ) 100, saffron both by itself and followed up with water, as well as a few strands in the oatmeal, almond milk 20, whipped cream 70. coffee 50...and great variety!!

Thursday going out to eat after work...Friday thinking i might get out early which would be good to get a drink and meal...and then go home and exercise would be the plan....but just it seems lots of food will be in store these next 3 days. i can tell i gained a hair of weight...will just deal with it for now...and keep with the moderation.

and i just decided, if i do NOT get out early Friday, i'll still go for a drink with coworkers and bite to eat, but go home to rest and just do the gym Saturday. Pick and choose is sometimes bettter than trying to fit everything into one day :)

Today my mom works at a nursing home (we're jewish so she went in since most others will take off)...so my dad is off though. so i'm going to drive to him and go for lunch and then read and relax at their house for a bit. thinking to walk...i'm not sure if my dad will be up to it since he recently had Cataract Surgery on his eye - though he is pretty young 66..i should call him now..

Well, he IS up to walking "into town" so we can find a chinese place to eat at....or thai...so a long walk is in store for this afternoon with my dad :)

One of the advantages of living in a big city is that there's still a lot to do! My suburb town is pretty much closed. CVS, Walgreens, and 7-Eleven convenience stores are open... I am grateful though, because this means that my daughter is not working today, too.

Hope you have a nice lunch with your dad - that sounds like a good way to spend the day!

most things are closed by me too and my parents...just SOME Thinese / Thai places are open since they don't celebrate Christmas. it's a good time for them to make money. but even some of them shut down as they'd just like a day off too! but yes, the movies by me are OPEN and most movie theatres in the area as well as some Chinese food spots! the first Thai place we walked to was closed. my parent's town is very big on restaurants in the main section of town. many many choices tho everything was closed today, aside from what i mentioned !

i'm glad you could spend the time with your whole family. i'm sure it was very nice. :)

About the only thing open around here is Walgreens and a couple gas stations. I'm guessing that anyone that didn't prepare ahead of time was probably eating a gas-station burrito today. I didn't even remember that Walgreens was open today until I got a notification on my phone. It came in handy to get some Christmas photos printed from earlier in the day. That way we were able to distribute them tonight before hitting the road tomorrow.

I shouldn't have read your post today. It's been a few days since I've eaten popcorn and just realized that I haven't really been craving it. But now that I read the word popcorn in your entry, I really want a bowl.....

lol...this popcorn was good. it was the store brand by Costco Wholesale that my dad gets when he goes there. (similar to BJ's and other wholesale places). Like you, i was watching my portions as i had a pretty large breakfast and lunch yesterday, so i seriously only took one small handful, same for grapes....then indulged in sugar free teas and seltzers for the rest of the afternoon with a small pretzel before driving home for a boost....worked out :)

i'm also needing to watch myself....jeans are getting tight...i'm a bit worried as i don't see calories going down too much this week and then florida. i figure over there, some days to just sleep in and skip breakfast or something, we'll see. i'm not even going to plan miami in advance! too difficult since she's (the one i'm staying with) very busy right now.
