(count calories/exercise/relaxing thoughts!)
Weight: 135.0

late snack: peanut butter

total today: 1260 approx. GREAT day.

so today was a positive day. exercise, lacking. but a positive day.

breakfast: lox on amy's chicago veggie burger, milk. around 400

lunch: soy chips, tea w. milk 200

i would have had a snack after work but i couldn't show my dad that i didn't rush to meet him to go to the DMV he would have been upset that i was fooling around instead of going directly to meet him after school.

dinner: HUGE, HUGE salad. lettuce 20, tomato 30, red pepper 50, green salsa (not red) from stop and shop 50, tofu 90, microwaved fresh brussel sprouts until crispy (10 minutes or so)130...gum, kombucha total: 460. lol, it was a LOT of food - and healthy.

total: 1060. wow. haven't eaten this low in awhile. I will MAKE SURE it doesn't backfire tomorrow.

so...there's this kid (29 yrs old) in my class who is really, really rude to me. he thinks he can get away with calling me curse words and telling me the rudest things to my face. anyway, he drew very perverted and sexual pictures all over my white hardcover binder when i wasn't in the classroom! could you believe it!? i actually showed my parents last night because i did think it was totally out of control he would do that. my dad flipped out when he saw what this guy drew. so would you, if i showed you.

i told the teacher. she made photocopies of my binder...and will speak with him tomorrow. i think he will be MORE than pissed when this happens.

this guy is definitely strange. he has said lots of even racist things to me. including calling me a JAP (jewish american princess - which is offensive when not said to be humerous), he constantly tries to make me feel very bad about myself and i think he has potential to try to hurt me.

not sure why. at least the teacher sees what's going on. there are 11 total people in my class and they all think this guy is nuts.

Progress as of today: -10 lbs lost so far, only 20 lbs to go!

loveray on 11/06/2008:
yikes, be careful!! stalkers are uncool. i love you and think you are doing so well. good job today- xoxo

thinnside40 on 11/06/2008:
Ben had to turn a kid in @ school yesterday for having a lighter & perfume bottle... He ignited it next to Ben's pants (AHHHHHHHHHH).... The kids got lunch detention and something else.. Not enough as far as I'm concerned!!!! If you feel that the potential is physical harm I would push the issue of "everybody's safety".... You be careful!!!!! The parent in me comes out when I read something like this..Just pure dee ol' wrong in today's society of "wackos" that it takes something actually happening or somebody dying before anybody WILL do anything..... There is a thing called PREVENTION!

Now, got that out of my system... SO HAPPY to see your day turn out so terrific... I bet you feel good too ?!?!?!?!?

Good Night's rest to you & prayers are with you & your classmates....

selina on 11/07/2008:
Hi HoP! I'm sorry you have to deal with weirdos when ideally you should be in a safe academic environment. I agree with the ladies that seem to have given you very good advice, here. Good job with the calories! Hugs to you!

kzirkle on 11/07/2008:
Good luck and be careful with this creepy guy. You're taking the necessary caution and being smart about it so I think you should be ok.

I'll take pics of the puppy if we get one this weekend and try to post them on here! :) Have a great weekend.

hollybelle on 11/07/2008:
Hello there. I'm going back to using my hollybelle name. I don't hav to a new anything - so here I am. I agree with Thin's post up there. You be careful. Now, since I haven't been on the site regularly laely - tell me what kind of class is this, exactly? I'm confused as to why a 29 yo person acting like this would be tolerated unless it has something to do with adults with disabilities, etc.....?

Anyway - as for the good day - WOW, yes, it sure was. You go! WTG!

WI3 on 11/07/2008:
I agree with Biscotti...do not leave it up to the teacher...tell the police!! What he is doing is criminal harassment and possibly also a hate crime. Sorry, but a teacher isn't going to be the one that can deal with this. This guy doesn't need a 'sit down' he needs to be punished by law.

skinnyjeans on 11/07/2008:
1260 cals....FANTASTIC! :) Keep it up! You can do it!

greengirl on 11/07/2008:
Hey HoP this guy sounds strange to me. Be careful sweetheart. Anyone who acts like a teenage bully, at 29 years old is not normal

thinnside40 on 11/05/2008:
Ahaaaaaaaaaaa....... I MADE myself get back to working with the Exercise Ball tonight after a bit of break (for stupid reasons)..... Your day look like it turned out alright in comparison..... Good!

selina on 11/06/2008:
Hi HoP! I am so glad to hear that gym is "break" for you - go for it! You are doing so much better and I am happy for you! Thanks for the gren juice explanation!

borntocry on 11/06/2008:
I see you have gained a ton of weight since I was last here. Well, so have I. So much that I'm embarrassed to come back. In fact, don't tell anyone that you saw me here! This is if you still even remember me, of course...

late night snack: 1.5 tbsp pb

total calories: 2100. it's ok.

lots of work to do, but:

yoga this evening :)

breakfast: 2 eggs, yogurt, veggie patty: around 400

snack: tea w. milk and EQUAL ew. 40 at most.

lunch: salad at cafeteria w. egg salad (around a cup of it!) and tuna salad (around a cup.) will look for calories and i'm sure they'll be pretty high. ugh....1,000!?!?! wow. i looked online and 1/2 cup servings of these salads are 250 cal. so, 4 servings = 1000! whoa. too much!

snack: green drink! :) 100?

dinner: stirfry w. veggies, salad, tofu. dessert: greek yogurt, sf jelly (leftover, i may throw it out since it's not so good anyway), cinnamon. around 400

still too much but mostly in moderation. a good start! :)

Progress as of today: -10 lbs lost so far, only 20 lbs to go!

grumpy on 11/03/2008:
yes, thats pretty good and seems like there were healthy choices on your menu too. good job girl.

I was BAD!!!!! You did better than me.... Good Job!

teenybikini on 11/03/2008:
do you like greek yogurt? I've heard great things, never tried.

selina on 11/04/2008:
wow! I did not know that egg salads were so high in calories. I would have made the same mistake of eating a lot of it - it's one of my favorites. what's the green drink? just curious.

skinnyjeans on 11/04/2008:
Lookin good...2100 is ok and your dinner sounds super healthy! And good job getting to yoga. :)

omahagrl on 11/04/2008:
It is sometimes scary to look at calories after we have eaten something especially when it is higher then what we thought. I did that with a salad once and about fell down when it was over 800 calories. Good rebound in the evening and better days ahead

today was better than yesterday, but possibly kinda strange i admit.

yoga before breakfast. It was the FIRST time back in 3 months or so. I had to sit down multiple times due to my lack of physical strength in those muscles some of the poses require. but, that's more of the reason i WANT to go back tomorrow. i hate letting myself get out of it. so, my annual pass expires around January and my plan is to go EVERY day. which will prove difficult, but worthwhile if i make it happen. we'll see!

breakfast: 3 eggs, veggieburger, salad, little yogurt....followed by darn 1/4 cup peanut butter: 850

snack: carrots and an entire cup of hummus: 500

snack: kombucha tea 60

dinner: picked up steamed chicken and vegetables and had it over some salad.

total: around 1900-2000.

exercise: only hot yoga, no cardio.

Progress as of today: -10 lbs lost so far, only 20 lbs to go!

loveray on 11/02/2008:
yay for yoga!! looks better, but trash that PB girl!! xxoox

skinnyjeans on 11/02/2008:

Weight: 135.0

breakfast: alright 600 not real balanced. 2 bread, 3 tbsp pb, green drink.

snack an hour later: 650: two slices bread, pb, chocolate spread (wow! was that good!), milk....chips420, chocolate sauce400, rice pudding130:

why i binged: procrastination to really start my day, boredom, lonliness?

calorie goal for today: 3000 (that i means i will try not to go over 3000 today.) it's doable haha.

snack: 2 apple 160 and piece of tofu: 90

dinner: california pizza kitchen...spring rolls, some coleslaw, and a big grilled vegetable salad. no sure at all on calories...estimate: 800-1000...cake, chocolate, bread...5000

i'll estimate todays calories: 5000 it's all good. tomorrow i'll stick to lower cal options. i plan to bring a bag of carrots and hummus with me to grandma instead of eating cakes/cookies.

exercise: long walk at the park - i'll try for 5 mi.

Progress as of today: -10 lbs lost so far, only 20 lbs to go!

WI3 on 11/01/2008:
Quesaeillas sound really good. Especially home made where I can control what goes into one! YUMMY! Take care, have a great afternoon!

Maria7 on 11/01/2008:
Some days we just eat more than on other days. Your 5 miles walk in the park (or however far) sounds real nice! Hope you've had a nice day!

yes- lets chat more about it via facebook or email...we should plan something really fun!

i'm excited to meet up with a friend of mine on Saturday, see a movie, have dinner. :) should be a good time! i'm still thinking about the morning and if i want to go to yoga. haha, i think i'll put it off till Sunday. :) lol.

as for tomorrow, i guess i'll go to the gym and do some errands. go to the bank. i'll think of things. maybe i'll study if i get bored?? although i told myself i wouldn't study until sunday - sunday evening. eh. if i want to do well, i should be able to study when i want. so, like i said, if i get bored???

500 breakfast pb sandwich on two slices of bread (100 cal per slice but lots of fiber) with a dab of yogurt on one side of my sandwich. also glass of milk.

30 snack tea w. milk

400 lunch soft pretzel w. ketchup/mustard (it may be odd, but it actually satisfies me well. i like not having to fill up on bulkier greens/salad. i know, kinda weird. but it feels good to get the carbs in and not be wanting them. i figure it's ok as long as i do have healthy choices during other parts of the day). tea w. milk.

100 snack apple and cup COFFEE w. milk. and two equal too much sf stuff today. (equal, gum). this apple/coffee left me ravenous and i couldn't walk more than 2.5 miles. i was sooo shakey while at blockbuster picking up a dvd. not a good feeling. haven't been that shakey in awhile, i think the two equals/caffeine did it!

220 snack/dinner...chocolate fiber shake, green drink.

reg salad mix, seaweed salad w. dressing later dinner: 350 or so.

1600 or so :)...plus BAD haha sf gum...and 2 cups soymilk. so total calories more around 1700-1800 which is FINE!

walked 2.5 miles

Progress as of today: -10 lbs lost so far, only 20 lbs to go!

thinnside40 on 10/31/2008:
Oh no Oh no Oh no Oh no.... Not seaweed!!! Really???? Ugh...I think Grumpy likes that stuff too.. Going back to her early days at least she ate it.... It is good for you.. So kudos gal!

Did ya dress up for Halloween?

loveray on 10/31/2008:
i LOVE seeeaweeeeeed. and you too...

Maria7 on 10/31/2008:
Wow, you GO, girl! 1600 and 2.5 miles...YAYYYYY!!!!

loveray on 10/31/2008:
yea you are right on the sf stuff. i am detoxing again from all of the white sugary crap i got used to while i was unemployed...hence, trying to fill my carb cravings with sf stuff sometimes. its hard but i will quit it. more water and tea!! i think we should totally have an NYC DD holiday gathering. i need to get up there to see some friends and family anyway...maybe NYE in NYC?~

selina on 11/01/2008:
Hi HoP! Sounds like you have a great weekend coming up, enjoy seeing your friend and the movie - what are you watching?

Great calories, exercise and yummy food - keep it up! I love seaweed!

breakfast: 500 healthy.

lunch: hot pretzel, tea: 400

snack: dunkin donuts 250 i think

dinner: 450

all in all, fine. on feet most of the day. no other exercise.

calories: 1600 good.

to look at things on a positive note for the past three days, the average is a bit below 2,000 per day. not bad in the least. trying to see things on the positive. and for me, a day of 2,000 or below is well done.

Progress as of today: -10 lbs lost so far, only 20 lbs to go!

Maria7 on 10/30/2008:
That 1600 looks extra good and with all your activity, the below 2000 looks good, too! I actually think we all know how many calories are okay for us cause most of us know when we go overboard as in it shows in how our clothes do not fit well and certainly shows on the scale...some people can eat more cause they move around more, etc. I'm happy for you, HOP!

grumpy on 10/30/2008:
Its great and 1600 is perfect and some healthy cals in there. good job girl. and i looove my song. can you play it with your horn?

selina on 10/31/2008:
Great job with your eating!!! WTW

I'm voting for change!.... I'm voting for "that one." (like you!)

I meant WTG!

loveray on 10/31/2008:
i really wish we could get together soon to cook and hang out! the pompeian brand of red wine/balsamic has a line of pomagranate vinegar and came out with acai vinegar- its really tasty. http://www.pompeian.com/vinegars_home3.html to make the slaw, i just took pre-made shredded cabbage, tossed in some chopped scallion and made a vinagrette out of that acai vin/honey mustard/salt/pepper and a splenda. its REALLY good, sweet, filling and virtually calorie-less! sometimes i use this as a base for a huge salad and put protein on top: like tuna, cottage cheese or a chopped boca patty. love to you!! xoxo

unfreakinfortunately, i was studying, got hungry/can't go to sleep/need energy...so i ate. not too much more. but i ate more. 2500 calories. not good when i'm already too fat. only can do better...and must do better already!

breakfast: healthy stuff, i tell you:

A nine ounce glass that i bought yesterday and saved for breakfast of a green drink. I have to guess on those calories - 100. Then, oatmeal that i let soak overnight in almond milk and with some added chocolate fiber/protein hemp powder that i finally used up. It's been in my house like a half year. Total breakfast calories: 350 :)

snack: apple?? and tea.100

lunch: not sure. soft pretzel, tea. milk, mustard/ketchup 400

no snack, small binge after work: cereal w. almond milk, dried fruit, big pb sandwich w. a little yogurt, something else that i forget, the good for you salmon and veggie small dish i picked up after class, and a green drink. not great by any means. but glad i didn't keep going. (not much to keep going with!) 1400 cal or something.

2200 for the day.

exercise: short walk - lots of freakin studying to do.

as per grumpy's advice:

feelings throughout day:

i did have moments of not being sure of myself/self doubt after i didn't do as well on one test as i would have liked to. got out of class early - wasn't really hungry but snacked anyway which lead to more snacking, especially after my mom left the house. should have not done snacking or just had one snack and left the house.

Progress as of today: -10 lbs lost so far, only 20 lbs to go!

kzirkle on 10/29/2008:
Thanks for the great advice! Hope you have a great day.

grumpy on 10/29/2008:
Hey girl, seems like you have been doing okay. I still think you should get a calendar and mark every day you binged and what happened that day, what you felt and why you think you did it and the same to the days you resisted or the days you didnt feel like it. That should help you see what the pattern is, maybe. I don't know. I missed you guys, I am glad to be back! xoxo

Maria7 on 10/29/2008:
Hope you have a good day, HOP! Your fish and veggies sound real good! Smile!

thinnside40 on 10/29/2008:
2200 is better than 2300...... So on & so forth.....Good Luck in retaining your studying.

kzirkle on 10/29/2008:
Being cognizant of our actions and motives is definitely half the battle. Just knowing that you're binging leads to knowing why you bing which can lead to figuring out how not to bing. You're taking the necessary first step. Kudos to you! And stay strong on your journey :)

loveray on 10/29/2008:
im sorry that this day seems to be not as calm as you had planned- there is always tomorrow! love to you
