Happy July 5th...back at work, feeling very good!  And i finally saw GB, my hamster, drink his water so I know he's not gonna die of thirst now!

Calories before am snack: 500

Am snack: almonds 200 

lunch: healthy, but chips instead of my usual unflavored crackers. 600 tops.

150 1450... Dinner rushed: wrap 100, avocado 160, lox 100 350 1800

and a fiber one cookie right before bed bc i was hungry and it was very late around 12:30am.

My grandma passed away and I am so thankful I was able to be with my dad who was with her also when she did last night. She died at the nursing home of an infection and was unable to breathe in the end. She is beautiful, in heaven at last.

Cookie snack before jogging (didn't go to any celebrations just relaxed today)

Dinner: 1 egg and 1 egg white 110, eggplant in a bit of sauce with cabbage 200, frozen yogurt 70 400 and chips

around 1900 on Fourth of July~ Independence Day - and a nice jog! good job to me!

4-day average: 1975 - excellent - and my baby boy GB (my hamster) is doing GREAT!

Below is me as a blonde, and now my brunette short hair-do! I plan to keep it brunette, my natural color, for awhile and I also plan to keep it short!



There were only 2 male hamsters to choose from (the store was getting more in on Wednesday, but time is limited and i fell in love with the one i bought!) - short hair and long haired teddy bear variety. The long haired was sweeter and more relaxed so I chose him. His name is GB - short for Gym Boy!

He is already 9 weeks !  Good to get him home and in his forever home with me!  I've already played with him quite a bit last night and I will almost every night is my plan.

Awww, thank you Jab!

The brown is easier maintenance. Blonde is too much with the bleaching and dying. No good for my scalp, either....but, i enjoyed everyone moment of being blonde!

I will continue to have fun with GB! I already look forward to when she wakes up tonight. I'll play with her and then put her in her ball while i clean a bit of her cage - but not the entire thing yet. just the wheel needs some wiping down as it smells like it's pee....LOL.

Thanks for the compliments - the brown is easier to maintain as it's natural and doesn't have roots.

I think about cutting my hair that short to get rid of the dyed part and grow it out again without dying it to let it just go grey au natural.

yeah, it's nice to "start over" with hair and cut it all off practically....i have went long to very short twice in my life - but this time i'm sticking with the short look - i'll be 35 in september and i plan on keeping the short look at least until 40.

WE ARE GETTING OUT @ 2pm...first i'll pick up some veggies (prepared and tasty and flavorful from a Southern place here in Queens in this town i work in - enough to last me thru the day off tomorrow and rest of the week) and then dropping them off at home, then going to pick up my friend & driving to pick up my baby girl hamster!



I'll get to commenting on your entries soon....been slightly busy and just slightly uninterested on coming on here so much during the weekend. been doing some other things. picking up my "GG" girl hamster today at the pet store after work. We should be getting out early and traffic should be minimal as it's Monday already of a long weekend. Going with my friend who lives by me - so glad i don't have to go alone to pick her up!

TY Jay! Turns out I had two choices between 1 of 2 male hammy's available! So, I choice the long haired bc it was so calm!

I love him - he's adorable and seems very happy to sleep now that it's daytime since they are nocturnal. Seems he's also eating in his sleep a little bit!

Happy to be able to be home with him on this holiday before going back to work tomorrow haha.

I'm really happy and now have photos up in my entry for today!

sunday 3am: wrap with pb and sf blueberry jelly: 300 so good!!! and banana 400 total. bc couldn't sleep.

plan for sunday reading, gym, relaxing, cooking, wash sheets. not much else.

10am Fried cauliflower and a few sips finishing all my kombuha and will def buy more or maybe I'll try to go back to ACV & seltzer with honey and stevia this week - yeah I should. 700 so far today all healthy.

11:30 am wap 80, cream cheese 80, lox 50, spinach with creme and spices 50? 300. FINALLY getting some PROTEIN in...been craving to eat some....hardly had any yesterday. and having more fats feels good. lately i've been feeling really good, my skin has cleared up so much! 

1000, healthy. 

1:30 snack before gym: fruit and cookie 200 and seltzer with stevia of course 1200...happy i'm making it to the gym today!

 after gym snacking: chocolate 70, chocolate bar 90

I'd like to finish one of my books today...have like 35-40% left and I want to watch a movie tonight that I borrowed from the library - all the things I have been putting off. I'll save my cooking burgers and stuff until Tuesday when I am off - I don't have plans and I don't want plans - happy just relaxing for a bit.

really i am enjoying relaxing. i see myself relaxing more this week also. ...i was going to try to see a broadway show with my friend this week, but i think i'd rather sleep early Thursday / do gym rather than be in the city watching a broadway show...i have these free post dated tickets...i'll wait to use them - maybe labor day week or something. - i'm trying to use them on a short week, when it's easier to go out and party more bc of one less day to the work week.

Last night was great fun in the city and overall life is pretty darn great! I just stress that I will not be able to jog by end of summer but I keep forgetting that I have two months to perfect it! And then I have a few more months till when the actual academy starts in January. I may even change my goal - and it would be to jog 1.5 miles straight by end of summer - who cares anyhow right ? As long as I keep improving :-)

10am bigger breakfast after eating everything lol: caramel almonds 240, strawberries 60, large amount of deep fried / breaded cauliflower (got tempted to eat leftovers)  300? 600 total, good. may go back to sleep after this big meal (slept really well - like 12 hours almost). yes, went bsack to sleep at least another hour! woke up for good after 1pm today. rest day!!!

2:30pm: seltzer with stevia, kombucha 100, banana 120, cookies 180. yummy, yummy, yummy!

1000 cal and all REALLY, REALLY tasty.

total is around 2050 today, excellent!



Today - reading and relaxing really since i did some food shopping and laundry after work yesterday i can relax basically all day today!  going to read. no desire for exercise at all.

Tonight- Going to city with friend to watch a concert at a bar and enjoy the nightlife!


Sunday def sleeping in again! lol. 

and no more laundry i do not think until Tuesday when i'll do my sheets i think.

Snack: 200 cal in almonds so good!

Healthy lunch change of pace for sure with fried cauliflower like breaded and fried! 400??? a big portion! and turkey burger 120 and cabbage 80. hopefully not more than 650

snack before visiting grandma: apricot 50 and seltzer with steiva, granola bar 100

dinner:  650

total today is just fine, 2200 cal. excellent. and visited grandma finally.

Weekly average is very good: 2070 = SUCCESS this week! wouldn't change a thing calorie-wise. i had some diet coke today, but will be staying fully away from energy drinks the rest of the weekend for sure. my skin has been so nice, i should let it rest and get even better. it's been awhile since i had nice skin. I feel a difference with the more sleep and less caffeine i have!



1- I picked up my "juiced up" revolutionalized hamster cage from the hardware store. This cafe is amazing & I'll be SURE to post a photo or two. It's seriously SWEET! You'll see!  I picked it up around 7:20am - before work - and due to really low traffic, i was still EARLY to work instead of only on time!

2- Working today duh....not out early bc we will prob get out early Monday, not today.

3- Get cash back from supermarket for the weekend as I do not have even a dollar to my name in my wallet right now!  I'll buy some seltzer and get cash back like $40.- as soon as I get outta work and then drive to see my grandma for a little while. Can't wait to be relaxing at home, really.

4- Visit Grandma after work & do her hair with new hairclips / barrettes that i bought specifically for her (she has some long-ish pretty straight hair (but not so much of it anymore..) ) but it's shiny and nice and should be in clips and not around her face or on her neck. So i bought the supples she needs!

5- Home for dinner, relaxing, reading & SLEEPING IN ON SATURDAY!  You can bet i'll take a sleeping pill around 8-9pm and sleep in tomorrow till around...I don't know yet. LOL. but sleep is calling my name!

Today and Yesterday i've been having some diet soda and caffine. eh. treat....must lay off it though on weekend. my skin is getting really nice with more sleep and less artificial sugars & caffeine.

8am: just coffee for now 50, later i'll have the banana 120 and wrap 100 with peanut butter 200: 480

lunch: will be healthy: sauteed green beans / mushrooms 100, matzah 100, 1 egg and 2 egg whites 150, spinach dish with cream 300: 650.

snack before jogging: one of my not as fave fiber one cookie flavors (chocolate cookie with chocolate chips - i like the regular chocolate chip cookies, not the actual dark cookie taste!) 120 and seltzer (gotta pick up at lunch) and stevia....cookie 100 and candies and fruit 100

dinner: something at home - have tons of leftovers, yay....650

I am def skipping an optional union meeting today bc i've been running around TOO MUCH lately and i am eager to watch a movie tonight at home. It's from the Library so it needs to be returned. I really want to watch it tonight with dinner and go to bed early.  I need this more than a meeting that starts at 6pm and ends at 7pm and then i'll eat and then just fall asleep and wake up early again for work and the rest of the week the same way = no good = that's why i am looking forward to a quiet night tonight.

The weekend was also quite busy all night Friday night till 2am and Saturday woke up early for hair and then too tired for gym so i rested...Sunday was busy all day will 10pm at night when i was finally back home after doing errands and seeing a friend back at home after a trip to NJ...

....so what is good for me is NOT going to a meeting (i do go to at least half of them so that is enough)..and i'm looking to change careers as we all know...as well as trying to keep up the gym and now getting into jogging - the union meeting doesn't fit in right now so it's being skipped - sometimes doing EVERYTHING is NOT the best method. Even thinking about the meeting is causing me anxiety. So I will NOT go. Time at home and time to myself is important and cannot always be skipped. 

I am waking up a little later now that it's summer - i will wake no earlier, most of the time!, than 6am. I used to have to wake up around 5:45...but now i can set the clock a tad later due to MUCH LESS traffic bc schools are out.  But today I got outta bed too late and arrived at work almost 8:10 instead of 8am - no good.  

It's nice to be able to wake up around 6, and not 5:45 :)  I can now leave around 7:25-7:30 instead of 7:20 and be on time easily. I think.  :-)

I have been finding it hard to sleep later, once I see it is light out I feel I must get up - even on the weekends.

lol, even without blinds, i am now able to sleep in...amazing. never like that before!

but there's no problem in getting up...i just really enjoy my rest these days...(these couple years)!

nope...totally went to the meeting OMG! i dropped a favor off for a coworker that always waits till last minute and since i was there, and 15 min late, i actually decided to sit through the rest of the meeting. LOL.

2050 today, excellent. good workout at gym, also. It was pretty strong despite me not being in the gym since last Tuesday. Def great to be back, now i want to read a little bit before bed....after a quick shower. yes.

Leaving work early at 3pm for dr appt at 4pm. I will be out earlier after the appt than if i were working, so, i will go to gym today bc i have skipped it since last Tuesday....lately i am being a little more free with my workout schedule....and trying to reduce stress. 

It was a busy weekend....mostly.....so i chose to rest in the spare time rather than exercise. I think it was actually a GREAT choice as I feel pretty good this AM.

I didn't sleep great bc i was so busy yesterday up to right before bed...so aroudn 4am i cooked the turkey burgers before the ground meat spoiled and also hard boiled some eggs. So now I have plenty of protein for the week....

I just need bananas....and to probably buy the kombucha that i love...after the gym tonight.  I must get my act together and do nothing before the gym tonight after the dr appt. I do not want to get royally behind with weights...I am already decreasing my sessions from 3 to 2 per week on purpose bc i was having a lot of trouble balancing workouts with jogging 2x per week (also which i'm falling behind, lol).
