Snacks: extra decaf coffee, negl.;

Lunch: healthy leftovers Persian spinach / indian cabbage, rice, salami

Dinner:

Plan is to walk by my apt after work, so i can drive home & beat the traffic (maybe take free bridge?); then attend the union club meeting below.  however, there's always a chance that i'll choose to walk by work since it's so convenient, then drive home afterwards. either way, i'm walking before meeting, then bed early!

6pm after work - online zoom meeting for religious affilated club to union. 99 years this club has been around, one of the longest if not the longest in the union. interesting, anyways.

2pm Matinee: Seeing Aladdin on Broadway!  A classic!

I know a musician (friend on facebook stemming from a summer i spent with him as we were both at a performing arts camp back around 2001) in the pit orchestra and he offered me two free tickets. I'm taking a friend who's never been to a Broadway show. I'm sure she'll enjoy it. She grew up in a rural area in Oregon which is basically the reason why - and once moving here she didn't get into that scene of going to a show, etc.

I love how you have weekend stuff planned for January. This is a great way to help keep up one's spirit in a difficult month to endure.

horn_of_plenty on 01/18/2022:
yes, most of my plans written here are mostly on the weekend indeed!!

also, i'm really NERVOUS for March! march madness, that is such a difficult month with its lack of holidays! haha

bearcountrygg on 01/17/2022:
Enjoying the kombucha again?

Horn_of_plenty on 01/17/2022:
i tried a new brand from a store i don't go into much! this brand is not as potent but the flavors are nice. they were a good price, as kombucha can be a pretty penny. you are right, i have had much less of it lately. trying not to buy so many at a time lately; as it gets pricey as well as the fact that i do not need to drink it as often as i once did! :)

Horn_of_plenty on 01/17/2022:
i like kombucha as it's usually a lot of flavor and not too high calories!

Jacky82020 on 01/17/2022:
Surely I musta told you Matt’s dad attended the Juilliard and made a living playing in the orchestra for many mega hits that went on forever. Think he did the base fiddle & tuba. He retired to Westchester County but still had connections & got us good seats when we visited. We took a train from their house into the City. Tons of fun. But then they relocated to Florida & Matt visited alone. Florida has never appealed to me. But NYC sure was a blast.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/17/2022:
i had forgotten. it's great to have friends in different fields; or family like you have. there's nothing like a good, live professional performance.

Jacky82020 on 01/17/2022:
It was nice. We got good seats & programs signed by the cast. Given away to someone who cared when we left California

Horn_of_plenty on 01/17/2022:
it is so nice, i do know that! i am lucky to have also known a cast member who gave my friend and I a backstage tour of another show that wasn't on Broadway a long time...it was called Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812. there was a lot of dancing but i didn't care for that show. but the set design was cool and the dancers would sometimes come up on the mezzanine right in front of us...not my fave show tho.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/17/2022:
this was prob around 5 years ago already.

Maria7 on 01/17/2022:
I'm starting to crave pumpkin pie. Haven't had any in a long time.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/17/2022:
i love how it's sold over many months now! almost year long in the supermarket!

  • Last TOM - 1/12/22.

1/16 Sunday - Eats:

2am woke up with slight cramps still in right leg - had a ripe, perfect banana 100 in lieu of tylenol

10am late breakfast: extra gummy vitamins was a new, very sugary brand so i had a few lol 50, coffee 50, pumpkin pie 1/8 slice 200. 300.

Lunch before leaving apt for city: half a pop tart package lol 200.

Snacking during / after show:chocolate, did i only have 1? 100

Dinner: do I get takeout (veggies only needed) from the area where the train before i drive home??? - and/or drive to another restaurant for something different???

dinner back at home verdict: picked up indian from a new place. had the option to order dishes with or without cheese and vegan instead of with cream. i ordered the vegan way but not entirely impressed with the flavor of the cabbage or spinach dishes. however, for the amount of food, including rice, it was a good price. prob will not go back unless i have my car and i'm near that train (which is not usually!). anyways, it's healthy and just not my style of taste, but still very decent.

6pm-6:30pm a lot of cooked cabbage 200 in some sauce, leftover piece of iranian restaurant bread, last piece 150 or so. 350...pringles 200, some of the indian spinach 50, ...600...dessert: greek yogurt with extra, extra jelly 250.

1550.

noon-ish leavefor matinee 2pm Broadway show - "The Book of Mormon" (from the creators of South Park) taking just myself, got a ticket for $65. not the absolute best deal but not a high price at all either. :).  This day is projected as 40F & full sun. Perfect for commuting into the city in January! Will drive and find a far spot so i can walk a little to the train. Driving so i don't have to wait for the bus and realize i can find a spot and walk a bit for exercise. Driving for the convenience of not needing to wait for the bus which made me almost late last time a week ago to the circus.

bearcountrygg on 01/16/2022:
Hope you enjoy the play.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/17/2022:
the show was a bit...nuts....very dramatic and very naughty. not the "best show" i've seen, but funny even if the humor was quite raw and all. the actors/music were fantastic.

Donkey on 01/16/2022:
I hope you have a good time! Good idea to drive in and get in a walk. You might appreciate that after sitting for a couple of hours during the show.

Eagerly awaiting to see if you get take-out or do with what's at home.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/17/2022:
ended up finding some new, good eats of veggies :) an interesting indian place that i drove to to pick up the food. may order again, tho not sure. good if i want cooked indian veggies and i'm in the area ;)

Maria7 on 01/16/2022:
Pumpkin pie sounds delicious!

Horn_of_plenty on 01/17/2022:
you know it! it was on sale, 3.99 for the whole pie. i had to get it!

Jacky82020 on 01/16/2022:
Gave up on bananas,at least for a while. Was slicing & freezing all the ones too ripe for Matt & eating with sugar free syrup. Got old after 100 years but will revisit someday

Horn_of_plenty on 01/17/2022:
there was a long while where i didn't eat bananas bc they had "so many carbs" and that was a time i didn't treat my body right. not enough potassium and bad issues with healing injuries. now, they are important to me bc of my tendency to get thigh cramps in my right leg! and they help my digestion.

happy-1 on 01/16/2022:
The walking tour sounds like fun!

Horn_of_plenty on 01/17/2022:
i'm going to cancel it because i'll be going into the city the day before, i just decided....! and that would be too much to be running around all weekend for me! i wanted to go so badly! but i just got practically free tickets to another show! (they are free, but need to give a small gift card to the musician who gave them to me!)

legcramps on 01/17/2022:
The show looked like it was fun!

Horn_of_plenty on 01/17/2022:
a crazy, crazy show in terms of the type of humor and adult jokes. whacked out!

Maria7 on 01/17/2022:
Hope you have a good day.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/17/2022:
you too!

Hope you are having a good morning. Cold here...they are saying that we are under a state of emergency here in SC, expecting ice storm.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/16/2022:
yes, i hear there's a big storm brewing south of New York State! Also Virginia! Crazy first month of the year!

bearcountrygg on 01/15/2022:
We think we have the easy germ.....but we are fine....I really don't expect it to get bad. I've never made cream of mushroom soup...I'm interested in hearing how that turns out.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/16/2022:
it is interesting bc it uses tofu instead of cream...but the tofu is best to be the silkin kind, which is extra soft.

went to 3 supermarkets so far; and it's in none. will look further tomorrow!

in the days before covid, i believe it was easier to find.

Donkey on 01/15/2022:
Yay, you got in your weights :-) Oh what a happy day :-) (LOL)

I hope that you are able to make your soup this weekend. I look forward to reading your reviews.

Sounds like just a nice day at home and we need those from time to time.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/16/2022:
trust me, weights were THE PRIORITY because sometimes with these long weeks i find myself skipping a day during the work week of weights...making it so much more important to get them in when i do have the time! :) was happy, indeed Donkey!

it was a good day; i'm thankful for the long weekend to do a little more without feeling strained.

happy-1 on 01/16/2022:

yes, i am not going to wear them again! waiting for my ebay replacements that i bought of better quality to come! can't wait to try them on! :)

i will donate my old ones :)

Donkey on 01/14/2022:
A carry-over from yesterday: Glad you're feeling better in yourself, with yourself. (((hugs)))

Good idea to give yourself more time to recover for your ankle's sake. If your ankle is still feeling tender, you can always focus on the upper body. Oh my, isn't it a balancing act sometimes, to manage pain, sleep, and goals? LOL...

I'm really excited to hear about the show you're going to see on Sunday! It's supposed to be very funny and well-done. Nothing like laughter to keep spirits high! In fact, this has inspired me to add more laughter to my days as well.

Maria7 on 01/14/2022:
Hubby and I took a long walk in our neighborhood yesterday. It was peaceful and relaxing. Hope you have a good day.

1/13 Thurs - upper/lower body workout tonight! Cardio rest day.

Sad morning, thinking how "life sucks." getting over it. def TOM induced as well. just not feeling happy about my place in life, but like I said to Donkey, i have to ignore these thoughts and just work out life as best i can. nothing is perfect or exactly as we want it. i must overcome these feelings. i cannot feel sad about my past or current situation.  Even a small tear/cry at work, not good, must not act this way. will not help me move forward, just finding it tough....i KNOW i must not act / feel this way. it's a bad cycle to get in. Glad i'm going to see a broadway show this weekend. it's for me. as a (former musician), and someone who's seen a lot of good music/theater, this is what i need to do for myself.

Breakfast: banana/coffee 150, french toast sticks buttermilk flavor (love it!) 100. 250

Snacking tbd: prob keto reeces 100, 2 reg chocs 100

Lunch: cabbage 100 soup (broth) 50, potato 100, brisket 250.  500-550.

2 chocs as a snack early afternoon 100.

Snacks:

Dinner: big volume. Ordered healthier variety of middle eastern spinach not in cream and had almost the entire container. Prob a pound of it. Highly seasoned, very nice. Want to order again tho dont love the price for the amount received. It did come with bread but so much haha. Spinach 300? Bread 300? 2 mini cheesecakes 250 very good. Very filling . 900 tops

2000.

exercise all skipped - will skip strength until Saturday.

  • On way home: Buy silkin tofu
  • & 8oz mushrooms for soup recipe / uses cooking wine again...

I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling down...PLEASE tell your doctor...maybe a change in meds or a talk with a therapist will help......This time of year is hard for many and a SAD light can help many.....but please don't try to deal with it on your own too long....It did sound the other day that the guys you work with are being very insensitive....and I'm sure that isn't helping either .......But please ask for help from your doctor/therapist. We care about you here and don't want to see you suffer through something when you can get professional help.

horn_of_plenty on 01/13/2022:
I think TOM had a lot to do with it. You are right i had a bit more coffee lately. and chocolate ;)

I think i'll be OK. spoke out my issues a bit out loud today and i know i'm in a "good place" with my job situation and that my coworkers care about me. I do feel a lot better this afternoon.

Maria7 on 01/13/2022:
A lot of people are dealing with sadness/depression and it is not just because of the time of year, I feel, but just different things we go through from time to time. I've been depressed, too, but like you said, you have to find things to DISTRACT yourself from your negative/sad/depressed thoughts. Good that you have something to look forward to going to this weekend. Try to think about your achievements, even if you don't feel that you measure up to your expectations of what you wish you would have accomplished so far in your life. You are still young and Lord willing, have time to do whatever you hope to accomplish. We all look back over our lives sometimes and wish that we could or would have done better. Think of what you HAVE done that was good that you are thankful you got that done. As for crying, most people do cry sometimes...I know I do...it is 'cleansing'...(as long as it is not continual, that is...)...don't feel like you failed because you cried at work. You didn't fail. You are simply 'HUMAN'. I love you and many others here love you, too. I send you a BIG HUG!

horn_of_plenty on 01/14/2022:
Thank you for the thoughts and kindness; as well as the love!!!

Much love to you too, Maria <3

bearcountrygg on 01/13/2022:
Just an idea.....I went back and looked at how much caffeine you might be injesting.......and I noticed coffee and chocolate...I know if I have too much it makes me anxious and jittery......that may not be helping..((HUGS))

horn_of_plenty on 01/14/2022:
yes my diet could have affected it too...

horn_of_plenty on 01/14/2022:
Thank you so much Bear for your concern <3

Donkey on 01/13/2022:
Commenting from my phone...

Please give yourself some grace at least until TOM is over and hormones settle down.

I'm glad you were able to talk a little about your feelings, but Bear is right to recommend that you seek further assistance if you need to.

From what you have written recently, you're in a good position to prepare for your next big step. You've got a plan, you've got ideas on what you CAN work on. You're doing all the right things even if doesn't feel like it right now.

horn_of_plenty on 01/14/2022:
I am doing a lot better, with my past experiences, i'm a bit more open to what i have to do / how i need to think right now :)

i appreciate everyone's thoughts here, it helped a TON.

coffee&calories on 01/13/2022:
Girl I hear you. I often have days where I feel the same. I guess we all do, but we often don’t hear other people say it so we think we’re alone in feeling that way. So glad to hear you’re feeling better this afternoon.

horn_of_plenty on 01/14/2022:
I appreciate your comment here. it did help me.

Oh I just realized that you have a long weekend to look forward to! I'm a little jealous, if I'm honest. Of course, I know I could always take time off. And I will be leaving work early next week for my bloodwork appointment. Still, it's not quite the same thing.

Give yourself permission to rest tonight if you need it. :-)

horn_of_plenty on 01/12/2022:
I will try to relax a lot and do things for myself on the long weekend, making sure to do things to help myself and make it feel like i'm doing things to help my future :)

i hope you bloodwork goes well. :)

i can't wait for my ebay snow boots to arrive :)

bearcountrygg on 01/12/2022:
Hopefully more protein will help with the cramps... ;)

horn_of_plenty on 01/12/2022:
:D

Maria7 on 01/12/2022:
That is very smart to have precooked meats in your freezer. What kind of meats do you pre-cook?

horn_of_plenty on 01/12/2022:
most of the meat was cooked by my mom, actually. she had given it to me awhile ago! Mostly brisket. :)

In the past, i had some meatballs from a friend.

Sometimes it's also turkey meatballs or something i make also in the past i had a lot of corned beef i made but i think that's gone.

All the meat i have made recently are small packs of sausage or eggs that never need or shouldn't be frozen...

i'm glad i have all this meat. it means i will not be cooking meat (which i need practice in haha), but that's ok bc i prefer to cook veggies anyways.

horn_of_plenty on 01/12/2022:
i eat many more veggies than meat which is why i keep running low!

also, many times in place of meat, i go for a yogurt or tofu, beans, or even an egg or cheese.

it's always the veggies i run out of first! :)

happy-1 on 01/13/2022:
Man I wish I had your ability to control calories

horn_of_plenty on 01/13/2022:
You do xoxoxoxo

Maria7 on 01/13/2022:
I see you are having cabbage/potato soup...I might make a pot of hamburger-veggie soup today. Good for a cold day. We were at 26 this morning.

horn_of_plenty on 01/13/2022:
wow you are as cold as we are :/ crazy cold so far this winter!

your soup sounds spectacular. filling and healthy.

horn_of_plenty on 01/13/2022:
the potato is really good for solidfying/helping digestion with all the cabbage. it's helped to eliminate practically all the gas i used to get when i only had cabbage! never realized all the good (and potassium) in potatoes/bananas until a few years ago.

my goal is to eat way more potato. so cheap, so healtlhy.

As I get older, I appreciate the importance of sleep over exercise. How about 3 sets of 20 push-ups and call it a night? Or maybe not anything - that's OK too.

Also, not related to this post, but I wanted to thank you for a comment that you had made on one of my entries last week, about the job drama not meaning much as long as the paycheck is coming in. That is to say, that the primary purpose of a job is the paycheck. Everything else is hubris. That really helped me keep things in a proper perspective.

horn_of_plenty on 01/11/2022:
i also wanted to say to you, please do not feel inclined to comment daily on my entries because at this time i cannot give you daily comments in real time...lately i feel extremely taxed on time and like i cannot look at a computer at the end of a weeknight to leave further comments here after work all day.

Like Legs, i am not able to comment here daily anymore on others' entries right now...

but i will try my best to support you as i am able...but do not feel a requirement to comment on all my entries, i do not want you stressed to comment on all my entries if i'm not able in real time to yours.

horn_of_plenty on 01/11/2022:
)but i will try to)

it's the paycheck 100%. yes, remember that.

  • Last TOM - 12/14/21.

1/10 Mon - Drive in, no walking, both too cold and no extra time for it. is fine!

totally good with some extra leg rest today. no exercise planned for cardio or leg work. will use my leg roller more tonight for added massage / rest.

Sunday night was a later night than planned, was talking on phone before my workout is why, prob worth it to talk tho it could have been kept shorter if i wanted it to be, should have thought more about it, then again, i can catch up on my sleep tomorow night as i could prob use more mostly cardio rest tomorrow so it's a good day to go to bed early (Monday).

TODAY'S EATS:

7:30am-10am  Breakfast: freezer burned frozen blintzes that i had cooked previously. cheese ones. 2. 250? with cooked cranberries 50. also a banana 120 and coffee 30. didn't eat it all at once. throughout the AM...

Snacks: choc 100, nut butter 100

Lunch: healthy, from home: big bowl cabbage soup with potato good amount and some broth 300, piece of skirt steak (still has it's good flavor tho a bit tougher tho flavor still great) from freezer larger piece 300. 600 healthy. needed this health. the sherry soup came out good. but i'm sick of it already. so i doubt i'll ever make it again. first time a screwed up with too much vinegar, so that's all i think about, even tho this batch is good, the flavor is similar so the negative memory makes me not want it anymore. will make a coffee to perk up...

...sorta a sour mood today bc lack of sleep / hormones as there's really nothing to be sour about.

1250

Dinner: leftovers of the remaining good size amount of cooked mediterranean veggies including potato in a thick soup 250?, chips 200, roasted cauliflower good amount 100. 550...

1800....gummies 120,

1920, goodnight.

(also to throw out the leftover pizza with pepperoni topping), too old to eat. DONE!

lower body - skip until Tuesday. cardio rest day.

pick up bananas on way home ? along with other fruit? DONE!

Fill up gas tank near home tonight. DONE...also put air in my tires :) DONE, DONE!

Because i left quickly around 3:40pm, traffic was light and of course i took the toll bridge, not wanting to get held up any longer than necessary as i found the desire to get right back home today to relax :)

I'm afraid if I had blintzes in the freezer...they wouldn't be there long enough to get freezer burn...in fact they probably wouldn't be there long enough to even freeze at all...LOL

horn_of_plenty on 01/10/2022:
LOL yeah, they were so poor tasting! at least i could coat them in cooked cranberries that covered the cruddy taste. lol. i have been having so many leftovers...it's nuts...i am at a point where i do not need to really buy meat for long time, bc of leftovers, although those leftovers are old....

i also have salami and pork sausages in the fridge. shouldn't have bought those, forgot that i have cooked meat in freezer. will not buy meat again until SPRING. (aside from tofu/eggs!) can you believe that!?

or if i'm buying prepared foods, i would order with meat / fish but i will not be buying any more salami, sausages, or meat that requires cooking till Spring, or late Spring close to Summer!

Jacky82020 on 01/10/2022:
Oh no! People have gone to hell for tossing out pizza. It’s a mortal sin. Repent, HoP, & eat faster next time.

horn_of_plenty on 01/10/2022:
yes, too many leftovers of things...i cannot believe it!

Horn_of_plenty - Sunday Jan 09, 2022
(counting calories/walking/elliptical/weights)
Weight: 108.0

  • NYPL new book - romance novel, light reading
  • Courts - reading / studying the test format & sample questions.  tests prob in Late 2022 -  2023. This is in progress; to continue working on these during long weekends in 2022.
  • Renew Passport - soon.
  • Last TOM - 12/14/21.

Big Apple Circus last night was outstanding. The audience was very involved and we learned about the backgrounds of the performers. it was better than i expected! Audience even was up at dancing to the YMCA at once point, so as you can see, i'm not making up how awesome the circus was. it wasn't the acts that were most awesome, but the audience involvement and adult humor kept us laughing all night!

1/9 Sunday HOME.

Up around 8am, breakfast around 9am: maple sugar cinnamon oats 150 made with almond milk, some coffee, 50, banana 150 tops, gummy vits. 350.

11am snacking: gummies reg and chocs 150 total.

1pm-2pm Meal over a long period of time while cooking: half a head of roasted cauliflower with a good amount of olive oil: 250, small bites of remainder of chicken 100, celery lots (ate some of what i was preparing to cook!) 50, leftover remaining beans and rice small amount 100, some of the thick veggie soup i have from takeout 150, hopefully not forgetting things as i didn't record until now, after eating. 650 total. not as satisfying as it should be because i was grazing, not all of the food at once. but healthy. :) nice to get a lot of veggies in, early in the day (can digest better before tomorrow, lol). and 4 butter cookies. 150.

......fell asleep around 2-3pm with a guinea pig on me.

3:30 snack: wafers and a coffee 100.,

4pm-4:30pm yogurt chobani 2% choc with orange underneath 150 maybe some kombucha too as i have an ongoing appetite 50

snack before workout chocolate 100

snack after workout: wafers 160.; 10pm now, and a chocolate. 50.

it's a later night than planned, was talking on phone before my workout is why, prob worth it to talk tho it could have been kept shorter if i wanted it to be, should have thought more about it, then again, i can catch up on my sleep tomorow night as i could prob use more mostly cardio rest tomorrow so it's a good day to go to bed early (Monday).

1900.

......I have a bunch of things to do today; all at home, but i plan to get them done on the semi earlier side so that i can rest tonight....i may start weight early, skipping lower lunges/squats to give my legs a break. skip legs until Tuesday.

Wearing more comfortable shoes last night, commuting was much easier. I was wearing winter boots, but more for comfort/style and not "heavy snow boots."

Also, i plan to do all the slicing/dicing for cooking earlier too. - yep!

  • upper/lower workout, cardio rest. - workout ended up being a late night one because had phone call around 6pm which was when i was going to start my workout., anyways, started at 8pm, put soups away and cleaned up during workout; showered near the end, finished workout at 10pm. DONE!
  •  reading romance novel for relaxation. DONE!
  • IF TIME / MY PATIENCE PERMITS: read more on courts, go thru sample test for 'Clerical Assistant' the low( est)level  entry test as that is one i'd be taking also - because any in to the courts I will take. There's multiple opportunities to take more tests once working for courts for only 2 years...so an IN is in IN...and i will move out of my current ( indurstry as FAST AS POSSIBLE to start in courts.

CLERICAL ASST (assistant) starts at a salary around 40-42k (JG12),

COURT  ASST which starts at 48-50k (JG16) , which is the one i want.

there's also one that starts right in the middle, JG14 around 44-46k to start, called REVENUE ASST (wasn't really too familiar with this one previously, didn't see any tests for it ever adverised...)

Obviously, they are all around the same salary, not any salary to brag about lol, so i will take ANY IN to the courts i can get...fingers crossed for this in my future. They will raise to around 70-80k after 7 years or so (or sooner if i take advacnement tests to other titles), with steps increasing each year on the way;  as long as i take at least one test for advancement.

Seriously, i could be at 60k in 5 years after I start in the courts at those starting salaries i mentioned...i just have to get started. And 60k is 13k more than i make now...so there you go....i just need to START...and that's why i am reviewing tests.

both the court assistant and revenue assistant look better than clerical, the lowest position available administratively in the courts.  i also like the revenue asst (middle one) because i deal quite a bit wtih money and numbers now at work....but i will be happy to get into the nys courts door doing any of the above 3 jobs - all of which include tests and a long process for entry open to the public....

I also have a resourse online right now to review the material that is to be tested for my dream jobs, advancing to Court Clerk / Senior Court Clerk. Those are only by advancement if you are already a court worker. I am saving the resources and will be studying the material on and off as it's a LOT of material but is also just basic memorization (the info includes all different laws and codes). I want this opportunity SO BADLY. and i'm ready. The Court Clerk/Senior Court Clerk salaries rise beyond 80k, especially the Senior Court Clerk. I am not sure if i'd ever reach that; but, i can say i will def try!

Honestly, I will be good even just when i start in the courts..... :)  More than money, i know i am CAPABLE of these positions which is why i am excited that the opportunities are approaching closer and closer as 2022 progresses.!!!!

  • laundry, DONE!!!
  • partial 50% cage cleaning, do whole next weekend; DONE!!!
  • wash my sheets too. DONE!!!
  • make the cabbage soup slow cooker with cooking wine... DONE!!!
  • Roast cauliflower DONE!!!

DONKEY, got a good deal on Ebay - Sorel - name brand snow boots that look pretty new. paid $42 including shipping for boots that cost well over $100 for new. they'll last a long time, many years. So i'm going to get rid of mine, donate them.

Donkey on 01/10/2022:
I seem to be a day behind in commenting on your diary. I'll try to stay current, especially since it's less busy at work this month.

Glad to hear that you invested in a good pair of boots! You are worth it! And I think that the Sorels will serve you very well.

Otherwise, it looks like it was a very productive day for you, and nice to see that you got in a nap. So did I, around the same time, LOL!

horn_of_plenty on 01/10/2022:
don't worry about falling behind, i totally get the work/life/computer time balancing act!
