2 plums 100. kombucha 30. wrap 100 with pb 100 and honey 50 along with sf jelly. 400 approx :) and drinking seltzer with stevia.

Half banana 100 Cookie 250, coffee with milk 100. 350. 850. Sangria 150 1000.

wrap 100, 1/2 burger 100 tops, spread 100, some chips i think. yeah, 250 in really tasted almond flour crackers! yum. nice and salty!

1550 total :)wow. needed a low cal day! wonderful!

2day weekend average: 1950, excellent!


Ricky joined me in errands and the street fair. turned out a perfect and fun day. amazing.

fell back to sleep after breakfast for another 2 whole hours. got like 10 hours sleep. felt great. 

got a ton done. feeling good heading into the week before the trip.

got plans to exercise tomorrow night and run Tuesday.  and feeling happy.  and glad to have Ricky to help me today and all the time. He's so good to me.

10am&12pm: kombucha50,  light ice cream 150, wrap 100, lox 100, cream cheese 40, chips 200 650.


BBQ lunch at a fair so trying to hold off eating at home: 

250 in beer, ravioli 300, turkey 250, bite fried fish 50 1700..

2300? not sure. 

yup. i want it so bad not to skip out on a jog that i woke up early, without alarm, for it.  but today will be an "easy" jogging day. no miles at once without some walking involved.

Today i'll actually walk 1/4 mi and jog 1/4 mi until i reach only 1.5 2.25 miles, i think i'll prob stop after 1.5. 2.25mi today will be an "easy day".  

I might even come home and do laundry or clean the hamster cage.

When i first started jogging at a park, my dad kept insisting i stop pounding the hard pavement and jog at a rubber track. So i drive to a nearby (5min away drive) college, and use their rubber track and it has 1/4 mile distance each time around.

That sounds a lot kinder to your joints...it's nice you have that available...when we lived downstate there was a church with an indoor walking/jogging track that was really a good safe place to walk.

yeah, i used to (before injuries) run more anywhere and where i could go long distances before turning back around, but this time around the track is far better alternative for me :) Being in a city area, EVERYTHING IS AVAILABLE. After reading your posts, I realize how lucky i am just for the fact i live in Queens, NY....a very populated and amazing place....i actually never realized how lucky i was to have all this food and just everything around until reading your posts. I'm not trying to say i have anything better, i am just saying i realized the difference of city vs country living. totally different. and i had taken it for granted.

Happy Fri!

Morning while holding my sleeping GM Hamster: kombucha 80.

Breakfast: coffee 50, bigger banana 120, wrap 80 with pb 150 and honey 50: 450. oh and tried a cookie. 70.

snack: not sure, probably nuts as i like to have, cashews. 200

lunch: healthy leftovers and chips: chips 200-250, 2 egg whites and 1 egg 150, lots of cooked mushrooms some oil 150-200: total here :550 tops.

1350 after lunch., plum as snack later 50.

(Feeling very hungry so took a 12pm lunch even though i ate a lot thru the morning.)

snack 2: some kinda bar or the cookies 130 and water with stevia before GYM WORKOUT yay (tomorrow morning will be a short jog session so that i can say i jogged 2x this week and not skip again and so that i do not have to do any exercise sunday). 150 approx for snack....

1550 total before gym.

After gym: TBD


Feeling wayyyy better than i was the past couple days. I think I was anxious to not fit in my exercise goals. Now that I know tonight is the gym and i have enough food for all the days until my trip, i feel a lot better it seems.  I feel better as I get more organized with my plans and goals for before the trip and including the trip.  

I was feeling bad i know bc my routine was breaking up.  So i vow to not break up my routine any more. and stick to the schedule 100% so that i do not get off track again.

at least this am i figured out the route from apt to the train where we are staying in colombia. only 2 blocks (but longer blocks) away. should take only like somewhere between 5-15 minutes to walk from apt to train! wahoo.

love that we are by a train and not a bus...sorta cool!

we'll mostly travel by trains while in Colombia. it's weird it's not first on my mind and that exercise has proven to be mostly more important still at this time.

i am so anxious for my trip to Medellin, Colombia it's pathetic how i feel but i always get this way. last trip was around 1 year ago - last October to San Antonio / Austin Texas. just nervous to pack even though it's so short. ugh.


Dinner was so good: chicken burger 180, 2 tortillas 180, spread 150, blueberries 200

710 cals of goodies and to my friend BCGG - I had double servings of everything except the chicken haha !!!!

2200 tasty cals today. Not low cal but really tasty!

6day avg:

No exercise bc I didn't feel up to it after last nights jog I wanted today off.

what i actually fear is being able to keep my routine in addition to the travel plans.

I fear not getting everything done like jogging and gym and getting too run down.

I fear not having enough time to myself to relax leading into the trip and after.

And lastly i fear the travel bathroom problems that are very typical for me...and i want to be able to poop (yes, really) one last and final time before the trip around 3am on Thursday morning next week.

I just fear the change in routine i guess....and not being able to fulfill my own requirements of keeping my routine while i am home.

traveling also means being able to deal with the changes and that has always been hard for me to do....

i don't want to skip out on gym and stuff and also don't want to overdo any running and stuff but at the same time, it's hard when my mind is focused on my trip.

i know my mind is messing with me and that i don't have a good reason for all my fears....i am not sure why i always get so up tight.

friends have said, close friends, that any change or fun things...usually involves the typical "butterflies in stomach / anxious feelings" and that i should of course take the plunge and go with it. i just wish i didn't feel so out of my own head.

Breathe! Relax for a few moments and give yourself a break. The bathroom thing I totally understand...but I have the opposite problem...I need to stop going so much..think about that for a moment...at least you aren't looking for a bathroom where there is none. There is always a bright side to things...look for those bright sides. I'm sure if you want to exercise there you will be able to...I'm hoping you can just let yourself go and relax and have fun...your routine will be waiting for you when you get back home. You may have noticed that I had very light eating 2 days before jury duty.that was to clear my system out TMI I know...but at least there was no way I was going to have to go while I was trapped in the court room...and I will do the same thing for the next 4 court cases..it worked for me. Maybe you could do something like that too. Change can be hard but it can be fun too....

I know you have a spirit of adventure..I just watched your walk up on that building...Now I was able to stand inside the world trade center and look out the windows...and I could do the same at the empire state building...but there is NO WAY I could shackle myself to the side of a building and walk that little catwalk....if you can do that, then you can do anything...I for one admire your ability to persevere.....I'm sure you will have a great time in Colombia and you ill enjoy the experience.

Do what you can to make it as smooth and easy as possible...and then try really hard to let the rest go. There is only so much control you will have over how the trip goes, and part of that control will mean adjusting and 'accepting' the little hiccups. I know it's hard. I have an OCD mentality, so change is very difficult for me as well. Deep breaths. You can do this.

Breakfast: wrap 80 with extra cream cheese 100, lox so tasty 80, banana 120, crystal light drink (absolutely sick of coffee for this moment anyways): 380

Snack: cashews lightly salted and coffee 250

Lunch: healthy as usual this week....

Still too big with several servings chips and even too many oily eggplant pieces just yuck need to seriously watch it. 700 cals only limit was protein 1 egg and 1 egg white

After jogging session: have a pimple coming..i should probably stay away from ice cream but may just have it, again. or i don't know what....we'll see. lately my appeite is off....i think tension about the upcoming trip bc i do get travel jitters! haha.

Dinner: tuna 70, squash 80, heavy oiled eggplant but so good 100-150?, some other nasty sweet potato in eggplant will not buy again 100 tops, and chips 150: 550 most. fine.

jogging was good and bad. i ran 2 mi and walked 1/4 mile and that got really hungry and wanted to leave right away and that's what i did!

TOTAL CAL: 2150. decent.

5 day avg: 2150. 

nite nite.

tomorrow i'll be going back to the gym.


I need to either make eggs or chicken burgers tonight. or eat sardines or tuna tomorrow, yes...

It's on and off....but better. If it's sticky, i just wipe it with a wet q tip. I am beyond doctors! haha.

I also bought some vitamins on amazon that i do add to its water. I do feel they might help. It's vitamin drops. just a daily type.

Lunch: got stuff, lots of food with me prob throwing out some too many not so great leftovers.

250 in carbs, 200 in cooked veg, 200 on proteins 650 total.

1350 after big lunch. Skipping afternoon peach.

Snack 1: peach. Didn't have it

Snack 2: bar and water with stevia

1500 before gym

400 after. Nice to have finally a lower total.

1900. 4day avg: 2150

After GYM (must go bc yesterday was a crap shoot as I was getting anxious about not getting $$$ Columbian Money before the trip and my dad says his bank can mail it to him...)

Columbia??? a vacation? what are you going to do there? Are you going with family and friends? I haven't heard much about this trip.

Does your work know you are leaving at the end of the year for NYPD? Maybe your boss acts that way because you are leaving. Maybe, who knows? I'm glad your chatty people are gone for awhile.

I plan on starting my jogging back up. I think i want to run in an event on November 4, so want to be ready for that. I do not like pain. Have a great day. iP

It's a smaller scale vacation with one girlfriend i know who lives in fort lauderdale. i'll meet her as i travel down to florida, she & i will reunite on the flight part from florida to colombia!

We didn't "plan" the whole trip and plan to just make plans in person a lot when we are there. It's 3 nights and 2 full days and 2 half days...so, it'll go QUICK! so, since she and i both live pretty busy lives, it should be fun for us to let loose in Colombia together. it'll be a reunion of 8 years ago when we might on a tour in Israel!

You ask about how my boss acts? Which way do you mean? I do not want to answer you except if i understand the question bc i want to try to think about your question. I do not think he knows exactly if / when i plan to leave. I would not discuss it with him again until a month or less before.

Others know i want to go, but there's no talk of it - i do not bring it up to anyone anymore.

Yes, most chatty people are gone. My boss seems to mess with the cowoorker i deal with most. He bullies him and told him that he talks with me too much. He asked him if myself and my coworker are talking about work or not....I think my boss would like my coworker to leave and that's why he's bullying him? i really don't understand it. Everyday i come into work, and once again my lead coworker tells me the boss was once again going at him earlier that morning. My coworker starts work around 6-6:30am and boss at 7. I come in at 8 which is why this happens each day. Weird. I simply tell my coworker to be more confident in his answers to my boss...to stand up for himself...and not to let the boss get to him. I don't think there's anything else to be done. Our boss has been our boss for just under 1 year now. So not that long. I don't even think he likes being a boss / doing anything administrative and that he'd rather just be an estimator without administrative responsibilitiy at all to help run a department / people. who knows!

Def continue with the jogging. You don't have to increase distance always. You can simply do what is your level now for awhile so it's not as stressful.

Yes Columbia soon for a long weekend. I'm excited to be "let loose" and explore new territory...it's like living in a dream world for a weekend...like a world / government totally not what my friend and I are used to!

I'm going with a friend who lives in florida...we'll be on the same flight to Medellin, Colombia once i've made my own flight from NY to Fl.

Thank you for the compliments on my strength. I wasn't always this way. I've been doing the upper body weights and pushups for around 10 years with a few breaks in those years, but mostly steady....and the legs were injured so now it's been approx 1.5-2years steady of leg work.

always a work in progress. I used to be very out of shape and not fit. I worked for this! :-) I used to also be a binge eater. I can say that i no longer really enjoy the feeling of eating to oblivion of like 3000-4000 calories in a day. thank gosh those days i can reasonably say are behind me...i still overeat yes, but learned to manage how / what so that the calories aren't out of this world too high anymore. it took years of work and practice. wasn't easy for me! thank you so much !!!!

Home: Pineapple peach strong kombucha 70

Breakfast at work: coffee with milk and stevia 50, banana 120, coconut meat wrap yup 70 with pb and jelly 150. total here: approx 390.

Snack - the cashews...200 or so.  cashews are less satisfying than almonds but i've started to hate almonds bc been having them for months on end.

Lunch: leftovers mixed with lettuce that expires after today so i plan to throw it out - any that i do not finish and leftovers of chinese mix of onions and peppers, eggs, stacy's pita chips. WAY TOO MANY CHIPS 350, egg/egg white 100, some heavily oiled veggies 250. 700 total.


Snack: big peach 100

Snack before gym: Special K oreo pastry 100 and water with stevia. It will be GREAT to work out today...need to get my blood flowing again bc i feel super lazy and tired.





 3-DAY AVERAGE: 2235. VERY HIGH. lately always hungry at nigt and in AM. working on it.



Going to library to renew / return books before a gym workout tonight....Planning on a great workout! 1st workout of 35 years old!

I actually started a new facebook album called "Limitless" to post my workout photos from 9/9 thru 12/31 of this year. After that, i'll lay low in the NYPD.


460 and of course having a somewhat tired and hungry day. I had several days last week with energy drinks & diet soda and planning to steer clear of them this week. They always wreck my skin.


Was almost here on time..lol. 5 min late this time. I must leave early now that schools are in session.

Sunday eats: 

10am-1pm: Nice Peach almost 100 cal, 2 kombuchas with caffeine 140 tasty...oh...right, and leftover from coworker's wife!...: Roasted Indian style cauliflower (just a few cloves) soooo good on a wrap (Naan bread) that she made super rich...like 300 cals for that!

1pm Lunch: 1 egg, 1 egg white on a white wrap 200 total, popcorn 80: 280-300 and seltzer with stevia.


2250 avg for Saturday & Sunday.

2250 each day.

went out for dinner with family. ordered the same meal i ordered last year, forgetting that it was made TERRIBLY. oops. fatty and batter coated shrimp with nasty oily mushrooms. Oops. it was GROSS. but the sides and everything else was good. 


Sunday: lounging most of the day. Finished laundry this AM. My friend Jen is stopping by.

Early dinner tonight with parents, Greek food.  They're picking me up around 4 and heading to Astoria in Queens known for Greek food!

I am cooking up (baking) spaghetti squash that i cut in half and seasoned with sea salt, garlic, pepper.  and peanut oil and olive oil mix.  Hope it turns out nice. It takes awhile and the peanut oil wasn't enough that i put on, so that's why i took my spray oil and sprayed the halves halfway thru cooking.

Also boiling eggs of which i ate one whole and one egg white. So tasty when you boil them with sea salt!

I'll also cook my chicken burgers, but later in the week i think! Like Wednesday night.


Saturday, my 35th bday and the Labor Day Parade in NYC :-P .... 2250 calories, i am amazed that i was satisfied with a dinner of "frozen" we made slushies out of white sangria, peaches and mint and some ice cubes....and then red velvet cake for dinner as well...that i could go to sleep on 2250 calories. go me!

Sounds like you had and will have a nice birthday....I love spaghetti squash...I have never seen them up here...but when e lived in the city...they were available...just as easy as cooking pasta really and a lot healthier....

Yeah, here Spagh Squash and all squash varieties are available. I had no idea that living in the country really is soo different. I should be VERY thankful of what i have available to me, bc it makes my love of veggies type of lifestyle MAINTAINABLE! LOL!

I did. I'm really lucky. I just wish that the guy I am with I could love instead of really enjoy being with...i like him tons, but will never be able to love him like husband material, but he is SO GOOD to me.

He has showed me why i shouldn't have ever wanted to be with Paul the Phys Therapist, who never paid me any mind at all....

Home: very bloated / things aren't moving fully but not terribe either. 4 cups of lower cal kombucha 120 (30 cal per cup).  need to use stronger kombucha tomorrow...will actually pick some up tonight after work and before jogging....need it for before PARADE...as you'd imagine i don't wanna be bloated during a long parade. 

Breakfast: perfectly ripe banana 120, coffee 50, 1 cracker 20, mediterranean perfect flavor veggie burger 130, wrap 100: 420.

Snack: little bit cashews 100 cal, finally! bc work ordered lunch :) and i'm waiting for my thai shrimp & eggplant to arrive!!!!!!!!!!! yum and i have extra greens to eat it on top of!  100

Somewhat healthy lunch: boss ordered chinese so i got the shrimp and eggplant, lots of sauce but took a lot off) 450 at most, an egg and some greens 100, and 1.5 servings chips 210: 750. was good.

snack: plum 100

Before run: bar 100

After run: not sure, maybe chinese. sugary natural proteib bar 300, ice cream 300


 2170 7 day, slightly high.

Snack: cashews!!! 280 too many, i know :) when i run outta cashews it will be a good thing!!!!!!! moving onto salted peanuts for awhile afterwards. the smaller the nut the better! cashews are too easy to eat too many of!

Lunch: healthy- 2 egg whites, 1 full egg 110 total, veg 200 with a few noodles, Stacy's Pita chips YUM original flavor 300: 650 tops

TOM (Time of Month) is here and i am of course slightly backed up but better than i used to be on this day. I credit my usual kombucha habit as being helpful with my digestion lol...it's a very slow moving period this time around. It's early and I'm VERY happy about it bc if it comes this time next month, it'll be directly before my Vegas trip. That's good.  Also it's good it's sorta here now bc the parade is Saturday and hopefully tomorrow will be a heavier day and Saturday it'll cool off a bit. I think bc it's so slow this time around will be ok this month. OK, no more on this topic! I know, TMI!

Saturday is the NYC Labor Day Parade and my birthday. Not sure what i'm doing to celebrate as it's totally 100% based on my parents and really i do not care. I'm so busy so really it doesn't matter...I've got a trip to Medellin, Columbia coming up on the 21st, in just 2 weeks!  So, as you can imagine, I'm just keeping my head above water now by keeping regular workouts as much as possible, working, and doing a few weekend activities also.

I'll start packing soon for the trip - I will NOT leave it to last minute - planning to pack by next weekend. - maybe even starting to pack this SUNDAY thinking about it.  Which reminds me, I still need to call my bank to warn them of this travel plan to Columbia from 9/21 to 9/24 as well as Vegas in mid-October for like one more day than this trip is. Both trips are short as I'm saving around 5 days for December purposely to be off before I start up with the NYPD academy.


Progress as of today: 2 lbs lost so far, only 3 lbs to go!

Wow Columbia. I've seen you mention Columbia before and i was thinking South Carolina or something. Are you going with friends and/or family. I had to google this place. What are you going to do there? So Exciting for you!

I'm going to Columbia with a long-time friend that i only met ONCE for two weeks almost. We toured Israel 8 years ago together and she lives now in Fort Lauderdale, Florida but actually is now spending some time in Nashville with friends bc of the hurricane. I plan to fly down to Fort Lauderdale and meet her at the airport there and we will fly to Columbia together! That's not my plan, but how it worked out by booking the flight with Spirit Airlines and we are really excited about it! I'm i think 6 years older than her or something like that.
