I think around 2400. More food on purpose. Will fast all the way until Sunday morning. Wish me major luck!!!!

Everything healthy. Tried to have more fat at dinner. Complete fast till Sunday morning when I have an event to go to - a breakfast with lox and bagels and lots of cream cheese. Planning to have a big bagel with lox and cream cheese!! Big!!! And coffee and everything at the table I am gonna try probably except dessert. Maybe I will change my mind and not have the bagel. We will see. It's so much easier for me to eat a diet that isn't carb loaded. I love eating large portions and the only way is to overeat veggies, maybe extra fats too. Not carbs. They are the death of me! Anyways, working on reforming my diet by learning more about ways to feel satisfied but also energized.

If u have been a member on here awhile or you have followed me for awhile, i am not a fan of fasting. At least I wasnt....

But now I have prepared to spend more time home this fall till the new year and fasting fits in my slower schedule that was once so busy in weekends. I can spend time by myself for a day without social commitments and do do an intermittent fast. I like it right now bc I am unable to do cardio until my legs are far better.

Intermittent fasting. It's good for me now. When I plan to be more active (when my legs hopefully heal) IT may not be the way to go as much. I plan to do it for 1-2 days on weekends, usually with an evening meal (not fasting overnight). But for my peace of mind, I am trying an overnight fast tonight. All the way from Friday night until Sunday morning. Since I have the freedom and flexibility to do it, I thank God that I can. Cheers to a successful fast (and normal calories all other days)

It seems to work to lose weight and works out to similar weight loss by dieting everyday without fasting.

Tonight was better eating-wise.

Still ravenous at work. Craving carbs and coffee. Broke down and had some today - coffee and energy drink. Once in awhile. Like once a month energy drink should be fine.

Calories till end of workday 1500.

Dinner: around 500

2000, good!

Even though I ate 2300 cals both Tuesday and Wednesday with huge dinners, truth is I was very tired after work and realized it on the drive home both days. I finished my dinners and had extra food on both days when what I really needed was sleep. Today will probably be better bc I got notably more sleep.

felt more hungry than normal today, despite having breakfast when I got to work. I had a yogurt snack, around 11...and found myself RAVENOUS at 12:30. maybe it's the fasting from the weekend screwing me up. either way, it's easier to stand on track at work anyways.

calories before lunch 750.

lunch: tons of veggies, even sautéed Chinese cabbage, and turkey: 500 or so. then chips 200.

snack: apple 100

BIG dinner: lots of veggies and turkey around 450

dessert: cooked squash with peanut butter and coconut butter 300

total: 2300.

legs hurting...thinking the ice is NO GOOD. I did order special heat wraps that I will use 4x per day on my legs. I also got a smaller one for my wrist.

Calories before dinner were 1450. Dinner was def at least 800.

Counting today as 2200-2300 but it may even be more. Either way, happy. Today I skipped my morning snack and was ravenous at lunch. It was horrible. I will have to eat lunch earlier or eat a snack tomorrow.

Around 2000 cal. Maybe less. All healthy. I liked fasting on the weekend and am planning to do it this Saturday. There are benefits like cellular healing when fasting. Long periods like 36 hours. My goal is to try it. 36 hrs means eating dinner at 9pm for example, fasting all day the next day, and breaking fast the following day at 9am. I really wanna try it. It is a challenge bc u have to go to bed hungry. No exercise today bc I had to do a couple errands after work no choice. Picked up my car from repair shop and switched vehicles with my dad. By doing a 36hr fast, I can lose 1/2 lb in a week but it's really just dieting / fasting for a day. I would say its a good deal. Not sure if I will do it, but seriously contemplating it.

So I did eat around 950-1000 calories Saturday.  (around 4am I had around 400-450 cal...before I was fully set on fasting, I had some nut butter on a wrap. and around 8/9pm I decided it was wise to eat something before bed. another 450 cal.) so yesterday I'd say was a MAJOR success.

Today is similar. I had to do an errand today - get a another new phone (thank god for apple care insurance - so phones have been free to replace!) at the mall.  The mall is around 1/2 hour away without traffic.  So I was walking a bit from the lot to the mall and inside the mall. Then I got some food for the week when I returned here. So, it was more walking than completely none outside of my apartment. Hopefully this is enough rest, not sure about that though, at all.  I actually wore supportive compression sleeves on my shins in order to walk at the mall with minimal pain. I think they did help. and strangely, I realized they sorta prevented me from overstraining my tibialis anterior ligaments / muscle (where I have the tendinitis / tendinosis problems on my shins).

Tonight is an early dinner for my dad's bday.  I will go as they are picking me up on the way there.  I plan to eat healthy...but also to eat nutritiously.  It will include a healthy fish...but I will try to eat lots of veggies (there aren't many though - it's a fish place - a Greek place in the Queens neighborhood of Astoria - known for having tons of Greek restaurants.).  The place serves a whole fish usually - or large portion with little to no veggies. They are extras, sides, and if my dad is paying - it's hard for me to order as much as I'd like to...but, I will try to get some veggies...bc I do NOT plan on eating a whole fish!


Dinner was good with family. All very healthy just big portions. Around 1200-1300 cals.

Total deficit of approx 1600 this weekend. Good :)

I am going to be fasting...for 48hours. Saturday through Sunday night. 1st meal Monday morning.  Gained too much weight, I can't exercise, and I feel pretty darn bad.  I have two errands to do today (a gyno appointment since I haven't been in years) and to fix my broken phone. after that I can stay home, read, etc. that's the plan. rest legs. tomorrow too.  fasting usually doesn't get my anywhere, but this is my plan this time around. So...fasting for the whole weekend...and I will lose around 1 pound of calories. I am determined to do it - last time I tried something like this I was 17 years old.  I will drink water...that's it.  People everywhere have fasted and nothing terrible has happened. So, I'm doing it this weekend & then resuming my normal eating next week. If I can manage to really fast like this, 2 days, I may try it a few more times in the months to come as a way to regulate my weight while not exercising. It is extreme because I am extreme. Since I can't do anything extreme workout-wise, I am going to find a way to lose / maintain weight while generally being healthy. (eating normally like I always do everyday except these fasting days). 

I do not feel this is an eating disorder, I feel it's a way of a cleanse. And I don't feel I am doing myself any disservice because as soon as Monday morning arrives, it's back to normal.

Please try to at least support me in doing this / or do not comment about it...I am a person who is obsessed with eating & food, compulsively so...and this is a way for me to see that I can live without it for a day or two - especially on a day off from work....I want to prove to myself that I am bigger than the food I so compulsively seek comfort and fullness and satisfaction from.  I am not going to be anorexic or fasting or binging after this 2 day fast...I am going back to normal eating.  I hope it doesn't slow my metabolism too much - I doubt it will.

...its 3:40pm Saturday and I'm already thinking of quitting and eating dinner. LOL. My family is going out for dinner for my dad's bday tomorrow...so my goal is to fast until that time - 4pm. so it's a fast until 4pm Sunday. with maybe a light meal of vegetables tonight.

I did end up having quite a bit of veggies last night, probably around 2 cups of cabbage type, one cup kale, and 1 1/2 cups cooked squash (it was some kind of Asian type, similar to acorn / pumpkin in it's color & texture).  I had bought this food on Friday after work - glad I bought so much! probably gonna do this next weekend as well (being prepared for eating something very light but filling after fasting all day).

Calories were: in the AM around 4am on Saturday I had eaten - quite a bit of nut butter and a wrap - around 400 cal. and last night, around 8 or 9pm, the veggies I would say were 200 for the cruciferous ones and for the squash around 250 approx. so total cals for the day were: 850...oh and a tablespoon of peanut butter 100...around 950-1000 cal.

 I am depressed, I am lonely. I have a broken phone that I am not going to fix tomorrow. I don't want to drive to the mall or walk around there. I need a serious break. Weeks, months. I feel I have destroyed my body and health. I don't see any way to recover. I am soooo angry more than anything that this is my unfortunate life circumstances right now.  I have no idea what to do.

yes, this is a different kinda fast. I am actually realizing it's ok...and i'll be ok for the period of the fast - as long as I know I will be eating normally at some point - as long as I am planning to eat well after. It feels amazing to do this...I never thought I could do it again. Even though I didn't fast on the Jewish holidays, I am more than delighted as I was able to do it for myself.
