500 cal before lunchtime, excellent. No snacks, just coffee.

1150 after a healthy lunch of mostly veggies, some in sauce, leftover seared tuna from yesterday's lunch, and a large kiwi. !!!!

Looking toward maybe a slighly sweeter meal tonight - like a protein muffin or something!...ended up having chicken sausage with roasted potato and root veggies (more leftovers) and some light ice cream. not more than 650 i doubt.

1800 today = great!

 1980 3-day avg. good.


Thankful & back to work Monday Morning :-D 

Eating was pretty good over the weekend & also I am really LOVING the extra alone time to better my health (mainly physical i mean) and spend it actively outside at the park.

On Winter weekends, it will be my goal to walk & be more active when it is sunny outside, even in the dead of winter. I am so thankful for this opportunity & winter to spend strengthening my leg muscles so that i certainly will begin jogging in early Springtime.

I do like to see friends & family (and have been spending some extra time with family & probably will continue to do so thru the New Year in January), but now is not the time for extra socializing and careless fun.  Now is the time to continue to redefine, continue to make myself stronger, to be independent & to work extra hard to secure my dreams for my own future.

Now is the time to spend my freedom wisely. To spend it with nature & the outdoors. To visit parks. To continue to walk the two miles that it seems my body is happy with (or walk any distance shorter if that's what i want). And continue to make it so that I am happy with my life - both now & in the future. I am taking life by the reins & doing purposeful things to help me. 

I was invited to a party for my gym but doubt i will go - it's on a Friday night in a couple weeks & it starts 9:30pm which is quite late for a party after a full day of work. I guess it can depend on how my ankle feels? Why  dance and screw myself along? So, I may skip. Then, the following week is a friend's bday...and it's also a Friday night on which i will take the day off to sleep in & be able to fully enjoy a party at a bar - without a full day of work before it!

I have 4 sick days to use now thru April 1. So i'm using them  in order to really enjoy a social life when i can...like the Friday of the party which i will meet friends for dinner before the party and not have to be up at the crack of dawn when staying out late the night...i'm trying to be smart about things. And not to attempt to do everything...not possbile.

For this winter - it's pick & choose for me. It's do what i can, not do extra, and making sure to take care of myself & my health and not get sick like last year during wedding season for my sister when in fact i was much busier & stressed.

It's perfect timing to better myself & make my dream come true (NYPD academy in Summertime!)

Thanks for pointing out something powerful. someone else i know on facebook had an awesome quote today - "Always be happy, but never be satisfied." Good quote right?...I really am striving to make huge changes for this winter / spring / summer. I do not think i'll ever have everything totally figured out, but i know i'm definitely putting myself on the correct path. Keep me updated on your goals too. We can support each other, Happy!

1/2 mile walk. :-D in evening. it was breezy and it's all i wanted to do. 10 minutes near the end of waiting for laundry in dryer and taking it back out ! haha.

Morning Calories: Light drinking thru morning 150 cal tops - a coffee with tons of milk (and very fresh coffee at my parent's house! - coffee they picked up on vaca from Hawaii!)!!!, also an ACV in seltzer with stevia on the way to them, then 3 sucking candies.

4:45pm snack: 100 cal Fiber One Snack - Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownie 

 Dinner was sautéed veggies and nuts and a hair of tofu - 600 and then dessert 220. So around 800-850. Total today approx 2000. Ugh too high. But healthy.

2-day avg = 2075/day


All Sunday morning I was with my dad and grandma. I drove home to my parent's house around 9am. Then, my dad & I drove to go visit her. She's 95 and not alert very much and can no longer talk.  However, she was awake today and i kissed her and spoke to her a lot and touched her face and hands and sat with her. We were there around 2 hours visiting her (my dad and i).


12:45pm Lunch was huge with both parents around 850 cal at least. it was all pretty natural, a mexican place. just big portions and with chips, beans, corn which are high cal ingredients as well as an ample amount of seared tuna. It was all in a healthy salad, over romaine and hardly any dressing. nice.


I then did a couple errands myself after lunch after getting back to my parent's house & picking up my car there, not too much from 2pm-4pm (food shopping a small amount, put air in tires, and also did one more thing for me - went to 30 min electrolysis session for face hair around mouth and chin....yeah...treat to myself and bought as a groupon on sale).

I started up small couple loads of laundry around 4:30pm. Took a 10min walk just to get the blood flowing while clothes were drying & that was enough :-D  No need to overdo!

Wow. I thought FOR SURE my weight would appear up, but when i weighed myself after breakfast and the bathroom, I only weighed 115.2. Wow. Go me. I guess the hard work pays off - to keep track of my eating & calories. This is the first time i think that i've MAINTAINED a lower weight and not gained. I really do think it's the first time.  Most other times it my life, it was weight loss, fluctuating slightly, then not knowing what to do in order to lose it & freaking out and in turn gaining. But now it seems i know what to do...


ice cream last night, 120.

Woke up so nice and late today, around 8:45am.  Been sleeping like a baby the past few days. Feels so good.

Breakfast 9am - banana 120, oats 100, vegan protein powder mix 100, cocoa powder 30, peanut butter 100, cranberrry 60 - 510, chips 140. = 650.

11:45pm - turkey sausage jerky (yup). 160.

930, good. 70 - while running errands, driving to new gym (didn't join - no parking at all, too far, lots of traffic). also 2mi walk at park!!! :-)

afternoon meal 3:30pm: first lots of veggies / squash 200, then more roasted veggies 300, wrap 60, turkey 140. total - 800.

 5pm 100 cal bar and caffeine 1900...

after gym - 250 cal, light ice cream.

total today: 2150, fine :-)

plan is to stay home. relax. read. no laundry till later & gym in earlier afternoon, not late evening. also need to pick up a prescription after or before gym. nothing else (except also i could buy some veggies, since i'm running pretty low and veggies have been a major contributor in how i have kept this lower weight!) 


I know i wrote i was planning to stay home, but i may go out for a 20 min walk to the same park as i did yesterday. It's very close, just 10-15 min away which is why i may just opt to go there...oh...and i want to join a new gym (see how far it is driving...), just $10 a month.  I think i may do these things in a little while !  Reason i want to join the other gym is that it's close to the police academy that it's my goal to be part of in the summer. I want to get to know the area. As well, I want to have a change of scenery from my current gym.  So i will be a member of 2 places.  It's not the first time i have done this!

You did really well! I think it's all that muscle mass that keeps you burning more calories, even at rest.

I completely understand about joining the other gym. Go for it! Can't wait to hear/read about it!

LOL the gym i wanted to join ended up being in a busier area than i expected with a lot of traffic also and no parking at all...it's in the middle of a high-traffic community in Queens with tons of apartments and also shopping around. Def not the gym to join, especially with it being somewhat far - 6mi away compared with other gyms at 2-4 miles. Makes a big difference it seems, because of traffic and all. So for now, I'll stick with the gym I love - because i do. I'm glad people are there at my gym always, even Saturday nights. ...would have been nice to go somewhere else too, but it's not the right place - the Planet Fitness I visited. ..There's a cheap Blink Fitness by my work, but also, i don't think i need to go there either...but, maybe, in the dead of winter i'll go. we'll see! it would be good to go to the gym close to work instead of driving to the other one - but - really, it doesn't matter so much! :) so far now, one gym only!

Today my plans are very minimal which is nice.  While my hair is air drying after a shower, i'll read a little bit & then i'm going out to the park by me to walk - either 1 or 2 miles. then home to relax more i think. maybe i'll take out a movie from the RedBox by me.


Late Breakfast at noon - leftover protein pancake, tasted not that good, 250, light ice cream 250, chips 250: 750. good.

1:30 - apple cider vinegar in seltzer with stevia, followed shortly after by a Fiber 1 Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownie 100 cal and small amount of energy drink. really not doing much right now...relaxing.

3pm - beef jerky 100...

Park was 2mi. I was on my way to starting a third, but foot started to feel weak so i stopped in perfect timing. 2 miles was perfect and great. maybe another walk tomorrow, probably not. just doing it little by little right now :-D

early dinner around 650 cal.

total today: 1600 approx. good.

7-day average: 2,028 per day. GOOD.

probably didn't burn 2028 per day...probably more like an excess of approx 200 per day this week. 1400 cal excess...then again, i always feel i burn like 2200 on gym days...really. haha. who knows. anyways, i might need to do a little weightloss stuff these next couple weeks in order to keep my weight staying low....or, i'll just behave in the next weeks. go back to my usual ways.


Had a really nice thanksgiving with family. Glad I came back to my own apt and slept well over 12hrs.

I did take a pill before I went to bed around 9:30 and woke up around 11am. Today and tomorrow are laid back days and Sunday I will be busy and up early with family.


My goal is approx 1500 cal today so my weekly avg goes down a bit to around 2,000 per day.


My goal for next week (tomorrow/saturday thru friday) is a lower total around 1800day :-)

Sometimes i forget so thank you for reminding me - that i have had major changes in my life recently both at work and in friendships. I guess we start to feel it especially during these times of the year.

Was craving to make a protein pancake for breakfast: first i ate half a banana, then the other half was in the blender with the following

- Banana 120 cal

- Egg whites and some cocoa powder 100 cal

- cooked cranberries 60 with stevia

- Whipped Cream Cheese 50

- Oats 70

- Cinnamon & Extra Stevia

- topped with sf pancake syrup and peanut butter 100.

Was a large serving of which i may save the other half till later...and may just sip an energy drink now, as i read and relax this morning - my only plans.

Total cal: 500 :-D 

snack: light strawberry ice cream 210



Most probably around 2500-2800 is my guess.

I am overwhlemed here at work. I am so darn sad i can't take it.  I feel more alone than i ever have in my entire life.


Early Morning: ACV and seltzer with stevia (ACV = Apple Cider Vinegar) 0 cal most.

Work: 1 decaf coffee with milk 50, another soon... 100 (extra milk)

150 so far today.

Noon snack: protein bar (we are leaving 2pm) 210

360-400 total so far, excellent.

I am liquid fasting till we get out of work, then will eat a nice size VEGGIE type of meal, do my laundry, then another carb snack and go to gym.

I am going to average 1200 cal today.  To be planned shortly how i do it - so that I do NOT screw it up! :)

 I finally did a thousand errands Monday (actually just 3) things after work and felt overwhelmed come Tuesday (which didn’t take long Monday night – first, I dropped off a frozen small Turkey my work gave out (I chose small because it’s only 5 of us eating it!) to my dad as he was leaving his work around 5:15 and visit my old physical therapist around 5:30-5:45pm (both on way home / on way to gym and only taking around 1hr delay in reaching the gym around 6pm).

I felt so much overwhelming emotion yesterday especially after work (not sure why) on Tuesday, that I binged after work on the way home I felt the feelings that I haven’t felt in months consume me…It must be this time of year when we need more sleep & rest (I have noticed a big change and it’s actually a positive one in my sleeping where I am starting to get longer sleep without pills for up to LONGER than 8 hrs and my skin on my face, although still broken out, still feels refreshed more than in the past).

lunch: Butternut squash and Sage Ravioli microwave meal by "Evol" along with lots of veggies, mostly steamed. around 550 cal i think - not in a meat mood or high protein mood today.  including an apple.

Even breakafst was a veggie burger, no meat. And for today, I'm sticking with NO MEAT. just not in the mood at all.

around 1100 after lunch, excellent.

EARLY, LIGHT DINNER: protein muffin, jello, yogurt? BED EARLY. so i had about 650 cal at home, and also 400 cal on the way home. still a small struggle going on. no biggie. this euqlas 1050...

total cal today is 2150, not good.

plans for tonight - GO HOME DIRECTLY after work. no picking up ice cream or anything. go home & read & relax. I am reading a pre-teen magazine that has some valuable tips on health and self-care than even adults would enjoy reviewing...i found it in the lobby of my apartment & i'm actually enjoying it - TONS of info in it & written in an adult style with a teen twist. Change of pace, ya know!?  Fun to read for tonight.


any food i do pick up will be tomorrow night, before gym & i'll stop home to put in the fridge...tonight i need to rest and not run around. i have everything i need at home already.


Really prefer to be home today. Tired, but for no real good reason. I think I'm just bored. But, really, I'm also happy. I am not sick at all, getting more sleep than the past couple years around this time, my health is constantly improving, my ankle improving despite the wedding & dancing, my ankle feels pretty good. In general, I'm doing everything I need to do in order to be happy & healthy and be able to rise above - and become an NYPD officer this coming July. I will stay positive & focussed thru winter, not exert myself too much or get sick.

Gym tonight after work...but first if we get frozen turkeys at work (we usually do!), i will need to bring it home to where i live bc my dad works around there & i told him i'd drop off the bird around 5pm....then gym. Not a fan of extra errands today - but such is life!  And i am also holding my dad responsible as well for being there to pick it up....so it's an "inconvenience" to all...and at least i have a bird for them & me on Thanksgiving!

Kombucha at home did the trick this AM - 70 a citrus flavor 

8:30am at work: wrap 60, with cream cheese 80 & salami 110, half large banana 80 - 330.

400 - excellent. and energy drink 30, also later a snack bar before lunch 130.

and some decaf coffee 50.

610 before lunch.  Having a very tired day and it must be from the sleeping pill even though i took it at 5pm it has a long after-effect (but still worth taking it to let my body rest a bit).

Bigger lunch: 2 chicken sausages 250, with lots of veggies, very light sauce 150, wrap 60. total around 500, excellent.

snack before gym (thank gosh i have the gym tonight!) 150 cal bar and rest of my 2nd caffeine drink for the day. total caffeine mg today is 320mg = approx 3-4 cups coffee.

1250 before gym.

after gym: protein muffin yeah with chocolate powder addition 260, yogurt 100, jello 20, cranberries 60, half banana 60.500. big high again.

1750 overall is good though! - actually at least 1800, forgot the apple at lunch.

I love turkey last Friday I got my turkey for xmas it was on sale so I thought I would buy it. I am starting to get all the stuff I need for my xmas dinner so many things to get that I divide it up into weeks before xmas... that way I am all ready when the day comes. Yes xmas dinner is always at my place with everyone. Nice of you to give it to your dad for your Thanksgiving. Have a great evening J.

I took a sleeping pill yesterday (Sunday) late afternoon around 4:30pm-5pm and went to bed around 7...woke back up for around an hour and a half and back to bed around 9pm till this morning. Felt pretty rested since i took the pill so early the effects wore off in good timing...and rested extra after not getting enough sleep after the wedding! Good stuff!!

The reason i took the pill is bc i was tired and not interested in doing anything.  I had been laying around and was just eating to stay up / relaxed / busy. What I really needed was rest because I was not motivated to do anything other than lay on the couch. So i solved the problem.

Weekend 2-day average = 2,175 (it will come down...)


Sunday morning entry:

The wedding Saturday night was the BEST! I am good friends with the people there & all friends invited, so we danced & had a wonderful night!!! Best wedding I have ever attended thanks to being so close with everyone...so nice to share the night with GREAT friends (aside from my ex-best friend, which i didn't enjoy even being close to her...and i didn't - i stayed far away, best decision ever.). I didn't talk to her or even say hello. Best decision.  I will not end up probably EVER being friends with her again.  We have both changed too much in our ways. She is too needy and I am the opposite - pumped to change my life and make changes while she is content with no change and everything staying fully the same - can't make it work with being her friend. Can't take care of her. Taking her of my own self.

Slept 6hrs which is pretty good - from around 2:30am till 8am or so. No sleeping pill.  I'm as of late sleeping much better. Body has just really started to need it, but in a good way, leaving me feeling better during the day overall.  I am definitely regaining my health & it feels so good. I was able to dance last night and my ankle hardly hurt. Shoes were good.  In general, it feels SO GOOD to be making progress, my legs stronger, so happy! I will keep putting in the work to get the positive results! SO WORTH IT!


9-10am Breakfast: banana 140, protein muffin 230, cooked cranberries 60 with stevia, halo top lemon ice cream 120, seltzer with stevia (and i think i'm going to look for the new halo top flavors today (gonna do a drive near a farther store i think...or not lol...nah, i'll wait till they show up closer to me - no need to be driving around actually!). and some satisfying chips 100.

Candies 50, 700... 2-3pm Big late lunch / early dinner: nuts 100, chips 350, lots of veggies 200, 650... 1350....

4pm - remainder of my halo top ice cream, none left and I may take a break as I have to finish another brand I have in the freezer first which isn't as good. 120 1470, tired.

some deli stuff around 5pm 100 cal followed by a Glucerna protein bar at 8. 

total today is very good - 1750 :-D

Today i am getting electrolysis (got a groupon) on my face which i do hope will help clear up my acne that shows up around mouth and chin...and....laundry is done!!..so glad i did laundry earlier saturday & didn't have to do it Sunday when I was more than content being on the couch from 2pm till I went to bed!

and i need to still cook some chicken sausage (did it monday morning today before work!) so i don't need to buy meat....and i think i willl endulge in cooked veggies from a nearby place (yup, bought extra to last these few days before Thanksgiving, def don't need to buy anything else till Wednesday...)  if they have anything good! 

I still have some apples from apple picking (totally lasted me around 1.5 mos!), and cranberries so no need to buy anything except bananas (yup, bought them!).

Going to a good friend's wedding tonight - should be a BLAST. i will shower after when i get home & sleep in a bit...then getting electrolysis done on my facial hair tomorrow morning....! actually, tomorrow at noon. I had bought a groupon for it (i tend to get a LOT of acne around my chin & mouth, so hoping the electrolysis will cut down on my blonde "peach fuzz" as well as acne).

4:30pm last food before getting ready for wedding: wrap with salami and mustard 200.

total before wedding: a nice & cool 1300 :-) perfect...

Around 2600 today, good.
