up sorta late, slept in after my alarm..

10 breakfast: life cereal one cup 160 with coconut milk 50. 210. stomach is still upset from the allulose in the low cal ice cream. will be throwing them all out because the ice cream i tried really upset my stomach all night and that isn't healthy for digestion.  The ice cream was called "z0cal" meaning like zero calories!

12:30 lunch: salad 50, over a cup of stewed eggplant, lots of sauce 300? very tasty, chips 150, kombucha!! 60 560 finally im eating some more veggies!!!!!!

3:15pm turkey, tortilla chips 200, gummies 100

 dinner salad 100, burger 250, chips 300 650

 went bike riding in evening.

That ice cream sounds horrible; i'm sorry you had such trouble after eating it.

I don't know if there are any gravel roads near you :) but gravel riding is a lot of fun - though much more difficult as compared to riding on the road or pathways. If you have a mountain bike or a bike with fatter tires, you've got the perfect vehicle for gravel!

Artificial sweeteners are often a problem for me too......i would never eat them anywhere but home if you get my drift.

^ what Bear said. Those artificial sweeteners can wreck havoc. I kind of wish I had that issue... only recently has malitol in the protein shakes cause me bloating and discomfort. But that's it.

Constipation is my destiny....

9am breakfast: blueberries 120, life cereal 160, coconut milk 50. 350.

11am snack cookies 150, spiked seltzer (ran out of kombucha so will buy some prob today) 100

12:30pm lunch: lots of (frozen) breaded shrimp (not the best, not the worst) 300, side of veggies 50. 350 total

2:30 small glass sangria (like i said, it should be kombucha, will buy some today!) 150

this very low cal ice cream that later did a number on me, 3 numbers on me- might have to throw the rest of the pints I bought away bc the side effects are too much to deal with and not good to be eliminating so much so fast 100  sorry tmi!

dinner half burger 250, eng muffin with olive oil 250 clementine 50. No veggies as my stomach has already emptied itself 3 times in 2 hours. 550.

Goals for today in terms of assignments:

1. read ch 3 & 4 of doc prep book and write memo, try to finish this by 2pm. NOPE, wasted some time in morning and i'm just beginning the memo at 1:30pm. the goal is to finish the memo by...4pm...finally finished at 5pm.

2. delve into ch 8 & 9 of Statsky - possibly start week 4 assignments

I actually quite quickly did a scrubbing of my shower today because boy did it need it! other than that, i'm staying home, skipping leg strength exercises due to the ankle and toe issues of wanting to rest them more and not overkill.

I may do another low key bike ride tonight in order to get outside, or, i may just ride my indoor stationary bike 2-3 times today at short intervals, we'll see.

tomorrow ricky and i plan to eat thai food, so, once again, i think my goal today should be the coursework, not going out to get takeout or anything else that is somewhat distracting...so, aside from some internet browsing distractions, i will limit outside errands and stay HOME!

On another note, my hair is growing longer and driving me insane. although i'm not working, i'm thinking to get it semi-permanently straightened by someone who i know who does it by word of mouth from another friend.  I'll do it once i finish the first half to this course, most probably, or i'll wait a little longer...

usually i don't get the curries, but get dishes of veggies and protein in one of the following sauces: garlic sauce, basil sauce, ... and now i forget the other two options for sauces on the menu! and rice comes on the side. it's so healthy for the veggies and the sauces aren't too thick or sweet!

Too much artificial sugar does a number on me! I'm okay with diet pop but something like hard candy with artifcial sugar is like taking a laxative!

yeah...i'm going to have to throw out the ice cream - like 5 pints - bc i cannot ship them back for a reasonable price. they have a newer type of artificial sugar in them and it caused real problems for me! diarhea 4 times during the night. so i know that's not healthy....so i will throw the rest of what i ordered away.

hi! up reading week 3 assignments & finishing up laundry!

2pm staying home, doing work, doing my best, Spiked Seltzer 100 with stevia (i'm n ot getting drunk off it, just continuing to keep myself in position, doing this homework, finishing all of the 3rd week today (trying to make it take 3 days and not longer so i can move forward)...

3:15pm late lunch flatbread 250, olive oil 100, hot dog 200 550. finished everything in week 3 except the Memo which i need to read further about before doing...hope to finish the Memo tonight and move onto Week 4 reading. for now, taking a break to relax until 4pm, maybe start a workout before the call and finish it quickly after the therapy call....cookies 150

6pm after workout raspberries (not great) and blueberries total 250

8-9pm: chocolate 100, turkey slices 50, leftover sweet potato chips 100, regular tortilla chips 200. 450

was able to go out biking and do weights. nervous though about living up to my expectations of when i want these assignments DONE :)

Paralegal Study Plan:

get week 4 finished in 3 days - Wed to Friday,  July 10th on that. (memo and week 4)

get week 5 finished in 3 days  - Sat July 11 to Monday, July 13.

Get week 6 finished in 3-5 days, try to finish by July 18th. 

then, there'll be a break for like a month for paralegal, while i take the union PM course.

the union class may start on Tuesday the 14th, but, I will have ONLY 1 more week of the first half of paralegal to do and i may just try to finish it up..

next, i'll then be able to STOP working on the paralegal course until the second half resumes later on...i will happy STOP working on it while i take the union PM course...

yes, you are right i'm now on week 4 and really, really, want to finish week 4 by Friday.

yes, hoping to not be doing two classes during the exact same weeks...want to limit the stress and the paralegal is good and all, but i don't want to have to read for it when i need to do another class! you got it.

ankle is weak, toe still hurts, so not much on the exercise front but i may go for a bike ride later tonight. :)

home for all of today...really need to finish most of paralegal week 3 today :)

it's 5pm and i have completed approx 40% of the work to be done for week 3, got a lot left to do, will prob try to complete almost the rest of the second assignments out of 3 assignments...sorry i need to write this here....lol...every time i start to work on these assignments, i'm shocked how long they are and how long it takes to complete them!

the assignments take a VERY long time :( .... and i'm nervous because there's another class i need to take for my industry starting in a week. - but good news is this might change / shift.

took a half hour walk around 7pm back and forth to supermarket to pick up some veggies / fruit and to get out of the apt / take a break

I know that toe pain...yours looks exacly like mine did...and it took longer to heal that time...also had the bruising on the top of my foot like you....it will be awhile......my ankle didn't hurt though...so you may have twisted yours.....I hit the toe...jumped up and would have fallen if the dresser wasn't there to catch myself.....when you fell that probably made it worse...((HUGS))

my ankle hurts because it's the other foot's ankle...and that ankle is weak in general. after i hurt my toe, i think i was overcompensating when i walked....and i was overcompensating with my weak ankle...

so the other ankle is just a side note...and makes me realize i cannot just keep walking right now like i want to, while the other toe is so injured! lol

thanks for understanding, it's def a pain!...at least i should be home anyways now, doing my work!

As long as you are not working, handling another class MIGHT be manageable... I suppose look at it as being back in college full time -?

i am actually trying to finish as much as i can with the paralegal course so perhaps i can just concentrate on the Project management class when it starts in 8 days. i'm actually trying to finish at least two weeks more of work so i can perhaps just do the PM course...or just do little bits of paralegal during the PM course time...

but yes, while not working, it can be done, especially because i know the first 7 weeks of the paralegal assignments and i'm trying my best to complete them mostly before the Proj man class starts in a week lol lol

DONE under $10!

also ricky may dye my hair back to my base root color, brown. DONE! so happy about this :)

First and foremost, i'm dedicating most of the day to studying / reading the chapters of Week 3 assignments. I may even be able to start the assignments either today or def tomorrow :)  Week 3 is different, it involves the usual assignments but also the "writing of a memo" or an actual document that paralegals may write. 

luckily, weights were done yesterday and i have no intent to do any leg work today either. only some walking / biking should suffice today as my lower body doesn't need to be pushed while toe is healing anyways.

i've decided also to skip laundry (but did wash the fleeces for the guinea pigs today!) for now and there's no cooking or cleaning...concentration is on the week 3 assignments so i can finish it sort of rapidly...rapidly means in 3 days :) therefore, my goal for week 3 is to finish the assignments by TUESDAY night.

hardly any teacher instruction, it is mostly a self-paced and reading on your own type of class. no mandatory sessions with teacher. i missed a zoom the other night, no worries though - not mandatory.

i cleaned up a little bit around the living room, got papers in order, put some paperwork in order a little. cleaned up the desk a bit. refocusing. 

no laundry today (that is tomorrow or even Monday).

no reading of the course today until this evening if i want to when i get home from visiting parents / sister / BIL / nephew...no time, i need to also move my body - lift weights, sit on indoor stationary bike i think would be good for today..light exercise.

after doing it straight many hours of yesterday, i tend to feel overwhelmed and like i need to move my body, although i woke up so groggy (i seem to be emotionally tired when i do the class one night into the next morning!?)...maybe i'm just not used to doing "work" anymore!?

yeah, i was relaxing in the morning, now weights, seems not much time to study - and the studying, well, it takes TIME! time and patience is all i need for the course, luckily i have that now!

10:30pm snack: cookies, still working (most of afternoon) on week 2 of paralegal. just want to get it done :) 150 - seriously am going to try to finish the first half the course in a relatively short time...should take 7 weeks to finish the first half, gonna try for 3 weeks...will have gummies now too

I have now finished weeks 1 and 2 worth of assignments in just one and a half weeks, it is still taking long, but i think i have a way to knock it down a little bit!...i am planning to again do two weeks at least of work this coming week...unless i get called to work, which i don't think is going to happen just yet...so i will just keep working on the assignments.

What has to happen for you to get called back to work? I'm a little concerned, because I'm seeing COVID cases going way up - maybe not in NY, but yikes....

re the toe - it's def broken as it's painful still and all, but it's going to heal and i am taping it (i had supplies and everything i need already at home). i can walk on it, but cannot overdo it bc the other ankle is my bad one on the opposite leg and i don't want to be overcompensating. today i'll just use the stationary bike for a change. not much walking, i've decided. maybe walking in the evening. maybe not!

re the job....i'm prob not "being called back" to the same job....it's still up in the air.

i had a phone sorta pre interview with another company that looks ok....but they said they will not be hiring at this moment, which i consider fine as i'm doing the course which is much more time consuming than i thought...if i have to sit out and not get the large unemployment i was getting, well, i'll have to spend some of what i was getting previously then!...

if i don't have to go back to work for another month, i won't be upset...

honestly, if i didn't go back to work until September, i'd be fine with that, too....after that, i'd start getting a little nervous.

upper body weights workout at noon - soon - was going to ride bike but feel it's more important to get the weights in 

studying week #2 out of 14 weeks assignments.  found one book that has audible...which is usually a faster pace than i read, so i got that...but the bigger textbook that takes the most time to read is not on audible, so it will continue to be the challenging read of the class for me, which is fine. i'm thinking i'm probably going back to work soon...

slept in today, went to bed at midnight bc that's when i finished the paralegal work that i was doing most of the day! assignments that were due on july 5 are already in and i can start on week #2's work now. i want to stay ahead of the game while i'm not working!

breakfast: oats 200, currants 150, whole milk 150. 500. need some nutrition in me as yesterday wasn't the healthiest...

snack kombucha 60

lunch chicken bacon 50 on English muffin 150. Cookie 100., later chocolates and iced coffee 100.

gummies and cottage cheese 250

 dinner: healthy option: leftover striped bass fish 200?, salad with olive oil 100, some corn with a little butter 100. 450. needed this health !

total 1900. 

did some walking today, def injured my pinky toe it's prob a small fracture as I tripped badly and fell hard on the toe but it's the pinky toe so aside from pain when I put some pressure on it, I can still walk around and stuff just nothing to overdose it! It's a little black and blue on my food near the pinky toe and I have the feeling there's def a small break. But not something to go to the hospital of dr over - just need to let it heal. 

skipping upper body to do tomorrow instead!

Progress as of today: -5 lbs lost so far, only 3 lbs to go!

awww thank you :) it would be good to see if i can speed it up while i have time :) i will motivate myself to read the new material after lunch :)

since i was sitting around so much yesterday, i made sure to get out and walk today!

Sleeping in can make one feel really good or really bad, depending on the situation. When I sleep in and I had nothing to do, it feels awesome to wake up a bit later. When I sleep in on a workday and I have to apologize, I feel cr*p and my body responds to this too, along with my mood ruined for the day. I think you are doing just fine and motivated to keep your work done and well done, so don't worry. Sorry about the injury, keep an eye on it so you will know if it really heals alone or needs some medical help.

I did the exact same thing a few months ago....I tripped on the big heavy metal leg of my full length mirror....I also think I broke the toe...and had black and blue on top of foot....I will say...it's happened before but that time was the worst ever...it took several weeks to heal..and I couldn't stand to put a sock on for weeks...I never got it checked either...there isn't a lot they can do....at least you can wear sandals now...that's good.....((HUGS))

Yes I don’t plan to go to a dr or anything ! I hope it can continue to heal! And luckily I can put the socks and shoes on even if it hurts a little bit, it is not terrible ! I’m glad it isn’t too bad ! Yours sounds worse !
