Breakfast = 360 (banana, bar, coffee, Bai coconut drink too - half that bottle too)

 lunch healthy - sardines, saag, cucumber salad, and sauteed broccoli raab. 550 (i think i'm not having enough carbs, though not sure...)..and maybe too much caffeine..

1300 before going home, had a nature valley granola bar package for extra carbs...feeling extremely tired, i think i need to up my carbs. and maybe rest extra.

dinner: popcorn 100, jello 20, chocolate peanut butter muffin 240 with a banana 120, oh, seaweed salad 50: 530...and chips 120

but good calorie average at  1880 per day  - 5 days, good. need to go to bed EARLY.

The only way I will get thru this summer is by being thankful FOR WHAT I HAVE NOW.  Like Donkey mentioned in her entry i believe on the weekend, people at my workplace are also taking loads of vaca left & right. I could actually take a ton of time off in the Summer too...But, if i did that, I'd have NO days left for during the year. I need some days to last me thru the winter and early spring! I have a total of 15 days (10 vaca, 5 sick) to last me thru April 1st. It's an easy task this year since I don't have any major events to use my days for...I will take a few long weekends in summer.Like Fridays off a few times. My goal this year is to take days off as I need to - long weekends really - as a way to lengthen my days a bit & get a bit more rest when i need to.

Also, by taking days as I need, I hope to be able to keep up with the gym & my workouts. And most importantly, my reason for being quite conservative with vacation time and what i choose to do - is that i want my health to continue to improve and my strength in my ankle to increase.

My goal is to be strong, for running, next summer. NYPD next summer. I vow to myself. I feel good to keep on striving to get there :-)

Union Meeting tonight at 6pm after work that i will talk to (10min from my apt 1 way - so a mile overall).

Very prepared for this week.

6am: kombucha and seltzer with stevia 40

8:30am at work: wrap with cream cheese and salami (its a very small wrap, but hits the spot & satisfies but I am getting sick of it so will start bringing other things soon possibly) 260 for the wrap. and a small banana 100. coffee 50. 

450 :-) excellente! and i have lots of veggies for lunch & stuff...very prepared more than i thought i would be this week! proud of myself! getting VERY good at planning. 

11:45pm part of a peanut butter soft chocolate chip bar, boss had some too. 150 tops.

600 before lunch, very good. (anything below 700 i consider awesome before lunch at work)

1150 before meeting, will eat at home after meeting one of those probiotic muffins and jello i think. bed early & reading.

in the mood for alone time...lately...needing time by myself like MUCHO...not sure why i feel this way...starting to want my space lately from everyting & everyone.

Meeting is not for me to talk at - only to attend. I'll be in the crowd in an auditorium. Not a small type of meeting that requires my input, only my attendance.

Lol...but i try to go to most of them. They occur every other month, onl 6x per year. BUT, although only 6 times, they are always Tuesdays which are my gym days so it's always a conflict. So now I actually like to try to rearrange my gym schedule so as not to skip gym or meeting.

I usually try NOT to go to gym after the meeting as it would turn into a REALLY late night...meetings end at 7...I used to do this a few years ago...but it's not the best schedule to be out so late and so early in the week getting home around 10pm!

lol...thanks for the good luck wishes anyway.

it's a good meeting to attend this time around - they'll be discussing our new contract.

actually, tons of people skip the meetings. but, i do it as a choice specifically for my father more than myself. I live where i live because of him and I have my job because of him. and he is a BIG GUY in the union. so that's why i go to meetings for my administrative division. Even though my dad doesn't attend these meetings, since he's not my division, I try to do the right thing. Especially as I live only 10min from the hall it's at.

Some people live far away, like even another state some folks...and it's hard for them to attend.

but because of my case - i try to do the right thing.

I skipped at least 2 meetings during the winter months when i was busy prepping for my sister's wedding.

Just found out I have 8 days of vacation. Will take 2 over labor day. not sure what I will do with the remaining ones. Maybe Yosemite or Big Sur.

Yes...I am going and attending the meeting because I want to try to do the right thing. It's voluntary to go, but is the right thing for me to do - especially since I live 10 min WALKING away...

Your possible trips sound cool. I like to take days in summer for going to the beach (under 1hr away & the local one that I haven't visited may only be 40 min away?)

Oh, I like to also take days in summer bc my best friend goes with me to beach. Also, beach is draining...a whole day...so a longer weekend with a Friday off here & there is helpful in summer :-)

During Fall, i will get three "free" days off for Jewish holidays bc i'm Jewish and so is my boss...and these are actually three totally extra days in addition to my 10 vaca and 5 sick per year. So...after this summer, I plan to use my 5 sick days mostly during WINTER! :-) All my 10 vaca days will be used up by end of summer. And I'll get thru Fall with the holidays as well as my 3 free days since our holidays (jewish ones) fall during the week this year which is lucky for me....

hope that wasn't too confusing...when i write it out, it helps me too for planning in my head ;)

I will be having some caffeine tonight for gym, but i am so tired that i'll probably sleep through the night after anyway.

Tomorrow i have a union meeting at 6pm-7pm after work.

Wednesday I will take the night OFF from activities.

Friday I DO have work, but we get out early & i'll pick up some food for the weekend.

Saturday I'm going Jet Skiing.

Sunday is a REST day & GYM and any food i need for next week, errands, laundry

Evening Update, 8:30pm Sunday....

Turned out to be one heck of a beautiful day. I ran into a family 2nd cousin while in Rite Aid in the morning doing an errand...and then I ran into a longtime friend while tresspassing in a town at the beach! He was tresspassing by bike. Was VERY funny as we were both VERY FAR from the park I used to walk at where i'd see him & walk with him there....like 30 minutes away driving. He had biked it. funny to see both these good guys....

Day turned out way better than expected :-)

Trying to remember food :-)

I wasn't very hungry at the beach, weirdly. ...things i brought were 2-100 cal pack pringles (never again, they are such small packs and not satisfying!) 200, 3 cut-up peppers 150-200, I brought bacon jerky but never opened it bc i was totally NOT in the mood, a small caffeine drink that i love cherry flavor 40...diet coke on way home....and some mints (not counting those cals)...i don't think i really ate much! 450 or so....oh! and i almost forgot i had leftover cabbage salad and some leftover thai on top of it! lol 200 more. 650 at beach, at most!

Dinner was large & good: Diner food. :-) Huge plate of stewed zucchini but sauce was light which i liked !! 300?, pickles (not counting), few large shrimp in a nasty breadcrumbs yucko~ they ruined them! 100, grilled portabella mushroom 50, and some veggies 50, and a huge piece of challah bread as much as 300. total here: 800, TOPS.

total today i know will be ok: 1800 :-)

This was a new beach and ultra successful experience with my best friend. Day was GREAT. no complaints. and i even got gas and vacummed my car at the gas station after she went home. I feel great starting the week. I got extra food at the diner also. and I'm good to go! proud of myself.


I woke up feeling overwhelmed.  But after writing a comment on Donkey's entry, i feel a bit better. I realize i can go & enjoy my Sunday :-) and not think about the work week right now or all the plans that i haven't set fully.

i don't know why other than the fact that i'm anxious to fully plan the next two weekends which should be fun but no plans are yet set in stone. Lots to do...but it involves communiating with my friends and also involves when things come on sale. just a lot of hoops to jump thru to make sure it works out :-) And the fact i forgot to pick up my Rx yesterday...and don't really want to go today to do it...debating it. otherwise, i'll have to go after work tomorrow?

8am tasty breakfast: protein & probiotic muffin 210 with a banana 120: 330. very tasty & good idea. will do it often as i just ordered more of the muffins on amazon. Flapjacked Mighty Muffins. high protein.

Now it's 8:30 and i don't want to push myself to do anything...

9am i think it was - late breakfast - 1 pint of light chocolate Halo Top Ice Cream only 240 cal., cup at least of Saag (indian prepared spinach) 300 at least, and popcorn 100. i'll say total around 650, good.

noon: Indian Bhindhi 300 at least, peach 100.

2pm: lots of Saag (like 2 cups)...i bought a lot of it on Wednesday after work :-) I ate the entire okra dish and one of the spinach dishes. now just partial dish of saag is left. was so tasty! 2 cups saag around...500? i think?

4pm peach 50....calories are outta whack today for sure and special k pastry krisps 100 ....and caffeine

slept at least 10 hours with sleeping pill. slept totally throughout the night, didn't wake up at all. I was exhausted. still tired and it's noon now. I may take a nap, we'll see. had some caffeine so i can try to stay awake actually & read my book.

Woke up around 8:30am.

Laundry is done! Didn't even have much because i did it last Sunday afternoon and for some reason i didn't wear much this week? :-)

Happy about this weekend. Today i'm resting at home & reading. Not even going to food shop i don't think this weekend - except for maybe meat and veggies.

Tonight is the gym. Beach tomorrow.

Next week is a meeting on Tuesday night (typical gym night) and that's why i'm doing the gym tonight, so i can go again Monday after work instead of Tuesday bc of the meeting.

All in all, I'm happy.

Sunday is beach! Following Saturday 7/2 is Jet Skiing at a Queens beach i've never been to (used to going to Long Island!). Sunday 7/3 is a rest day. 7/4 is a beach day with my best friend!

Then, 7/8 my friend from Canada is coming to visit. 7/9 We'll go into NYC and see a broadway show in middle of the day and dinner there. Sunday is a beach day. Monday he goes home & i go to the gym. Tuesday is a beach day with my friend and Wednesday 7/13 is back to work for me :-)  

Def a nice first half of July if you ask me!

Boss was gone (on vaca) all week. So it was boring. Long. Quiet.

I worked at my desk, hardly talking with anyone, all week.

Ice cream is so dangerous for me can sit and eat the 2L so easily. I usually go to the Dairy Queen instead of bringing it into the house. Cannot control myself. I have to see the bottom of the container. Have a great few days J. enjoy your insanely cool time ahead.

Thursday 6:25am: after going back to bed, i slept soundly. should have taken the pain killer as soon as i woke up at 2:30am. Usually I am smarter as I've learned this lesson already! Anyways, if i didn't have work today, I would have still been sleeping.  Looking forward to a workout after work and finishing up the week strong :-) Got about...5.5 hrs sleep.


Thursday AM edit at 4am: been up since like 2:30am? Can't sleep bc of thigh pain. At least it's not like last time around, when I had major bloating and cramps a week leading into the real deal. This time it all came at once, good!

Anyways, So took another pain killer...and was trying not to eat as it's in the middle of the night & I get into a habit of waking up & eating very easily. But now it's an hour and a half later and i'm still up, so i had a small banana. I bought them yesterday since I ran out & the postassium is good for the pain.

That's most of the reason I bought them. And they are also good during this time of the month in general to keep things calm / regular. anyways, luckily these are little bananas so i actually plan to have at least 2 more throughout the day today (Thursday) because really the thigh pain is annoying and I'd like it to go away. So this time around, I'm going to try to get things under control today & eat more to care for my body. I'm always low on potassium & probably really low these couple days.

Planning on gym tonight. It should help me feel better I'd say.

Only 2 days left of work this week. The week has actually gonna swiftly although my boss is not in.  I did much better than during previous weeks that he's been out.  

Yesterday, I took a little walk at 11am and left a voicemail to the man I like. I know he doesn't mind my messages because if he did, he would tell me. The only time he's ever said NO to me is 1 time really. I texted him Monday asking if he could either say yes or no to me visiting him at work after I got out (he works late Monday) and he said no. And that's ok...because he's working there. And I'm not about to "F up" his work situation as he has a majorly important role there. So, I have no problem listening to his wishes which is why i asked if i could vist :-) ....But i do hope to see him in the next month. why so long? ?? 

It's so long from now because this weekend I'm going to a different beach with my best friend. Next weekend I'll go Jet Skiing for the long weekend and beach again with Best Friend...and following weekend my friend from Canada is coming to visit. Therefore, because i've made no plans with him, the one I want to see and the one i text and call...because he's been rather guarded, there are no plans as of yet. :-( ah well!

but still in a positive mood, just low energy, sleeping more & sleeping well. it's been a good week with boss away.

I may stop and get my toes done after work and eyebrows threaded. treating myself i think.

Edit: yes, got my eyebrows done & YES...was worth doing ($6 & i gave a $4 tip)!  No, i didn't get my toes done. Instead, i saved much time & money (with tip it would cost around $25 for toes) by coming home, removing the nailpolish & cutting my own toenails. Took not long at all & was worth making the right choice since I really only would do my toes if I were hanging out with Paul or another guy and i was wearing open toe shoes. Or in general, if i were dressing up. And i'm NOT...not until later on. So no need to pay $$$ now.!!!

Despite me writing how I'm spending $, I've actually done a decent job paying back all credit card payments I made over the past month as well as saving up for rent that be due at the end of this month. And, because I've done a decent job saving, after rent is due, I'll still have some cash in my checking which is GREAT, because i'll be wanting it badly in a couple weeks to use on Jet Skiiing....and then a few days later my friend from Canada comes & I'm treating him to most activities & food here since he's paid the flight to come....

Coworker is driving the CRAP outta me.  I just hate when people are rude & I don't know why!?

180 bar snack in AM, which I am sure I will have.

Turns out my coworker is hating me & I am not positive why! he actually ignores me when i speak to him sometimes!? AND DELETED ME ON FACEBOOK! HAHA It's a little bit crazy, honestly. It's crazy because he is actually really pissed off at me...and i do not know the reason why. I try to be civil & he still ignores me.  And our desks face each other. So it's weird.

3-day cal average: 1920/day 


6:30am Kombucha in morning 150 - needed 2 bottles, unfortunately...i hate to have to overdo it. and had seltzer with stevia.

9:30am Ordered breakfast delivery at work bc i was craving fat and protein and forgot to make a wrap at home (and only brought a banana and bar....not really satisfying as bacon and egg!)  - 1 fried egg 100, with tons of bacon - was tasty - 300, on wheat toast with some mustard i have in fridge 150: total here around 550.

1pm Lunch, which will be light & at my desk...oh...and coffee with extra milk from deli as no milk at work so i just ordered everything this AM. just counting 50 for coffee but could be more. 750 cal before lunch.

Lunch: lots of leftover shrimp over cooked kale with mustard, popcorn. around 400

5:30ppm Snack after therapy will be a tasty peach. 100 - sorta big.

Dinner: sugar free jello 80, chocolate Mighty Muffin 220, and an awesome Bulgarian full fat yogurt 100 with stevia. 400 :-)

total today is GREAT 1650. and I took a half hour walk after therapy once I got home.  I used my ankle brace which helps greatly with support. And I feel good after. <3


leaving early @ 3pm for dr / monthly therapy appt that i do for myself which i do like to go to....and do NOT want to stop..

 Boss is away this whole week so i will be getting out ON TIME everyday 4:30pm..nice. 

Looking to have an UNEVENTFUL week & low key. catch up on some sleep - which is good. Maybe no sleeping pill tonight as i hope to go to bed on my own & try without pills during this week especially as my boss is away.

Looking also forward to a low key weekend to come - I'll be going to gym Saturday night because i have a meeting next Tuesday after work - so planned to go to the gym on Monday night (and the Saturday night before therefore...) good planning.

When i don't skip gym sessions, that's when my body truly sees optimal results.

I don't want to skip sessions yet...but in July i may skip 1 when my friend from Canada comes over, weekend of July 8th.

Progress as of today: 4 lbs lost so far, only 3 lbs to go!

yeah, it was a great change of pace but def gonna bring my own from home tomorrow...it's such a waste of calories ordering out for me...since i have great options that i bring usually.
