Last day of this outpatient program for me.  THEN, next  week i have off from work and planning to start work on 12/2/19.  yes, i still have the job.

I hope to have lower cals once i'm at home more and not with parents anymore. it's been a slight struggle with the bigger evening meals, even though they are extremely healthy i eat large portions and combined with how i eat during the day, it just adds up. good thing - no bingeing.

Happy Friday!!!!

Quite wise to have a week off between your program and then getting back into the workplace... especially with it being Thanksgiving. It sounds nice to just have that break, to regroup and be thankful for all blessings, big and small.

It is SO hard to eat according to others' ways of eating. One of the reasons I have difficulties staying at my brother's house is that they are all about carbs. Hardly a vegetable in sight, unfortunately. Same with mom, except that she is plant-based, so it's definitely healthier, although she's still doing the low-sodium thing (yuck). Anyway, just saying that I KNOW it's difficult to adjust, and I think you've done a fine job of it. Once you are home, then you'll eat the way you like to eat.

yes, i'm glad to have some time off - though some is to be used as you said with family for thanksgiving and back sleeping at my parents' house from tuesday eve until Thursday as my mom would appreciate some of my help to prepare for the holiday - fine with me ;)

yes, once i'm home i think it may be a small challenge to "eat the way i eat" because i'm used to even more volume lately and bigger meals for over 1 month since at the hospital i ate more and at parents i also did for an extended time. luckily, it's no more time and any weight i gained has just brought me to a higher weight, but since i weighed slightly lower to start, it's just brought me up but not anything that is so totally uncomfortable or adjustable. THANK GOSH.

You and I both know just how difficult it is to lose a bunch of weight!

My parents did eat very healthfully and much more than most families while i was here. it's just i tend to eat smaller portions in the evening compared to them because i like to snack throughout the day. I do think it's great they eat salads usually before dinner though and it's something i can consider with my lunch more...since the program i'm at does this too (in a way - i actually usually am taking both their meals at the program - the veggie salad and there's usually an extra salad with meat that i make into a sandwich).

it's nice and healthy to have like a large salad and a sandwich...something i'm going to consider for work lunches instead of ALWAYS chips which i usually do as my carb instead of bread.

really, it's just something to think about for me - think about new options.

my way of eating is more processed than my parents actually...but i miss those treats - although as you see i found a way of trying out gummy candies that were sf and other things while here. even bars, new brands, from 7-11. so, i have eaten somewhat my way but i'm used to a smaller, (often more manufactured) dinner. i was even eating just apples large ones, with wine, for dinner sometimes. i miss the ease of eating light when home alone!

Funny you mention gummies because I was just thinking to myself this week how much I LOVE gummies -- and sorry, not talking about the sugar-free ones I make. I take a few vitamin supplements, and some of them are in gummy form. I take these at night, and I really look forward to my vitamin gummy "snack". I honestly think I could eat a whole big bag of them every night.

i've had those gummies...once i did overeat that gummy vitamin bottle too...it's def tasty. i eat a little candy several times a week if not most days just so i can get my fix on a small amount and be happy too.

dinner tbd chicken and veggies....breaded chicken and roasted brussel sprouts with a huge salad with moderate dressing. big meal though with extra large portions. 800 tops

Arm exercises done late and finished :)

Yes it’s been nice to get back into arms - using my dads arm weights so I am lifting a hair LIGHTER but it’s good to go back to working arms since it was a month off them I am now regaining some arm definition (some was def lost )

thinking for dinner to have a protein muffin in micro with yogurt and cranberries  instead of something else with my mom bc my dad will not be home for dinner ..... we'll see. I want a day of lower cals which could be today ;) mom wants falafels I guess that's fine too but I prefer a lot of volume - I guess I could do the falafel with a large salad

i really enjoy these smart sweets abs bought several so it'll be on my menu a bit these next few days. Pb chocolate 50

dinner ended with chicken thigh 150, olive oil 100, beans 100, potatoes 250. 600?

I'm still in this group therapy .... Friday last day ....the hours are 8am- 2pm each day which goes pretty fast and is obviously easier hours than my regular work hours !

Sounds like a lovely food day if I may say so. Will you return to your apartment (to stay) over the weekend? Or will you stay at your folks' for another week(with the holiday and all)? Just curious, no judgment here.

I did group therapy at one time, but we were all consumed with our own internal storms that we just sat there, in a group, looking angry at each other.

dinner tbd thinking a snack and not big dinner tonight - I want yogurt and protein muffin and cooked cranberries 500 tops 

instead of that dinner we had salad 100, spaghetti squash 200, meatballs and sauce 350, chips 120, chocolates 100. Total here 850-900

2250 ouch !!!!! But obviously very filling and tasty.

i cooked the squash for everyone.

 AM Arms , later i did 2 miles (one mile around 4pm and the other around 7pm on the treadmill at parent's house)

9am bigger breakfast: toast 150, cream cheese 100, smoked salmon huge portion (parents have large package lol to be eaten and it's great!) 200, small coffee 50, chocolate 50. total here: 550

11:45 am snack: sour gummies :-) 

Late lunch: leftovers i think - salmon on toast and extra veggies 550

Snack orange 100, chocolate 50

 Dinner: large but totally very healthy. 700 approx

total today around 2100, decent.

I'm still at parents, they've got a bunch of good exercise equipment downstairs, so i can still exercise. not joining a gym at all, it's much more convenient doing it at their house, don't need special exercise clothes or anything either....that part of this works out, but, still better for me to be at my apt, with my food, i'd be eating a bit lower calories if i wasn't in hospital or at parent's house. but i do admit the food is overall healthy indeed anyway, despite higher cals. I haven't gained too much weight because i lost a couple lbs right before hospital, but now i'm borderline gaining again because i've had extended higher cals for around one month now....happy to be back at my apt soon, probably by next weekend.

i have an "online" friend from here originally, GG, but now she is online and has a "food network" online called GG Eats Celebrities. she has an air fryer and now lives in LA. She eats salmon like multiple times a week and also she air fries it at home and says it comes out great - from her photos it does come out great....the air fryer seems to not need a lot of fat to fry things, and the salmon looks in her photos to cook perfectly with its natural fats in her air fryer. i told my parents about it, not sure they'll buy one, but i had thought of her!

was your salmon frozen!?

I think that the salmon was fresh, but being from a restaurant, who really knows? My taste is not discerning enough to tell the difference, to be honest.

That's so cool about your online friend. I think I remember GG on here. Anyway, I've been thinking about getting a Ninja Foodie for my husband. It's an air fryer but it also can work as an InstaPot. (In my day, we called InstaPots pressure-cookers.) Quick and healthy cooking - can't go wrong with that. I love my crockpot, but you have to plan in advance with that, hence the Foodie.

prob salmon 350? cooked for dinner as I am still with parents - yes, with a large salad 150, very big but thinking as low as i can for calories, then a slice of CHOCOLATE CAKE with fudge....very fancy for mom's bday. at least 400 cals for an indulgent cake. 900?

2350 today. UGH!!!!!! it won't get much better until i stay at my own apt.
