(counting calories/walking/elliptical/weights)
Weight: 113.0

Will be commenting to everyone this afternoon ! I admit I was taking advantage of "hermiting" and seriously took a lot of alone time, still taking it!

9:3am breakfast gummies vitamins 30, coffee 50, cottage cheese 100, PB 150, oatmeal and almond milk 170...500.

12pm turkey meatballs 100, eggplant Indian dish 100, wine 200, later kombucha 50

4pm Reece's chocolate and couple large clementines 250

2 more clementines 100, microwaveable lean cuisine pasta 400, salad and dressing 150 tops

  Ice cream and chocolate 300

Hour walk today and hour slow bike while on phone

Plans (already almost 3pm when i write this):

- cooked yesterday, totally not cooking today..

- not doing laundry yet either, deciding to do it mid-week around tuesday or so.

- read some more of my material - textbook for class.

- call friend when i'm on the bike, but after i real the material. i have been very anti-talk or social since this began (but this is typically me also, so it's not really so different). i just want to do my own thing lately, here at home. it's been good to walk with R because it's motivating to get together with someone...we try to remain a social distance and he was wearing a mask part of the time (not the N95...). we stopped at a pharmacy and he bought a few more masks (not N95) and gave me a few too :)

- also i can do some leg strength exercises today / bike...it'd be good for me to work in some more cardio (as it's prob not increased since being home at all) and work on legs now... :)

i do not really want to lock down so many plans that it's not fun...so, i guess i'll think about cardio day by day and per the weather too (like if walking outside is even possible! - like when it rains, no thanks!)

it's really not that many plans. i'm not really motivated to do much more at this moment.

- i am watching the news here and there. i will def stay in the loop.

Progress as of today: -3 lbs lost so far, only 1 lbs to go!

bearcountrygg on 03/22/2020:
Those meatballs looked soooo good!

Horn_of_plenty on 03/22/2020:
these were better than last time. instead of one large eggs, i used two of my medium eggs to help the meatballs turn a little softer and hold the ingredients together beetter and worked out well!

Donkey on 03/24/2020:
From my own experience, do try to stay busy.

i appreciate all your thoughts!

(counting calories/walking/elliptical/weights)
Weight: 113.0

I am doing well. I want to plan to do a morning walk (short, like 10min) like i would if i were going to the bus everyday, even weekends. So, i will do that. Yesterday i actually skipped weights for no good reason, so i'll do them today with upper body exercises. I will def be reading more of my textbook also....

9:15am Breakfast: oatmeal with almond milk/stevia 170 and cottage cheese on the side 100, iced coffee with almond milk 50. gummy vitamins. small amount of chocolate 50.

11:00-11:30 earlier lunch candies 100, chips 150, 2 large clementines 100, pepperoni 100, cauli flour pizza crust 300 750 tops...wine 200

Snacks in afternoon jackfruit 100, later turkey meatballs 100 more meatballs 50, tastes of tomato / eggplant dish 50, kombucha 50 more kombucha 50

1800 tops ..

did weights and 20 min walk. Cooked two dishes and read a little bit.

General Day's Plan: it is not a definite just providing some activities and structure but I am REsequence it as home today ...

10am - 10 min walk outside yes

10:20-11:30am: reading of textbook yes

11:30- clean up remainder of my cart that has some clean laundry on it., have lunch - pepperoni on a cauliflower crust (frozen) should be really, really good! and fruit. Yes

12:30- 1:30pm upper body workout with pushups. Yes but at night

2:30-4pm: make turkey meatballs and also do a trial of an indian recipe i have (but not all the ingredients but just enough to attempt the recipe) for smoked (lol, i don't have a bbq though!) eggplant. Yes

 4-5 not too much

5pm-ish dinner: the eggplant, turkey meatballs, salad with dressing yes but no salad

after dinner: attempts to read more of my textbook? No - worked out at night

Progress as of today: -3 lbs lost so far, only 1 lbs to go!

Donkey on 03/21/2020:
Ha ha, I skipped upper body weights last night too! My intention was to write an entry today "I had an AMAZING weight workout last night!" -- NOPE, didn't happen! Ha ha! But it will happen today, for sure.

I love the idea of a short walk!

Also, a gentle suggestion - no textbook tonight. It's Saturday night. Read or watch something fun or light instead. :)

Horn_of_plenty on 03/22/2020:
at least we both have had amazing weights workouts now!

Donkey on 03/21/2020:
Oh, not exactly Indian, but there is a Middle Eastern kabob take-out near me that I want to try soon!

Horn_of_plenty on 03/22/2020:
that's a start! i have to say, i love the indian for the VEGGIES! but they also do a GREAT job with their meats. kabobs are nice along with other similar items they have like meats that are ground and mixed with spices.

bearcountrygg on 03/21/2020:
I never did get to try those cauliflower crusts...never saw them here.....maybe someday hopefully.

Horn_of_plenty on 03/22/2020:
these were ordered online like LAST YEAR or so from Cali'flour. or something like that is the name of the brand.

these particular ones are quite healthy and tons of fiber. they are good for a change of pace and i eat them on their own (not topped with cheese or anything!) they are made with a little cheese anyways mixed into the dough / cauliflower / egg mix.

Donkey on 03/22/2020:
I have not yet tried a cauliflower crust. #goals (lol)

Horn_of_plenty on 03/22/2020:
these are more healthy than most, not looking like pizza dough.

i'll take a photo and post here next time i make one - i do plan to eat up a LOT of the foods i have at home. i have a lot of things hiding in my freezer and cabinets. only things i really need to buy are EGGS and more veggies / fruits if i want those - and also to feed the pig babies!!!. anything else is icing on the cake per se.

Weight: 113.0

breakfast 350

4pm Rice Krispie treat

5pm oranges 100, chips 150, salad with olive oil and vinegar 150, lean cuisine 500 tops wine 150

Doing sit-ups and then more reading.   tonight I'll do an upper body workout. I will try to read the entire project management textbook during this time off from work. I don't have plans to increase my fitness or anything crazy like that but I will try to move around / cardio a little more but none of that is for today since yesterday I was extremely active.

i do feel I was possibly exposed to the virus during commuting, etc. but I have slept a ton and my body does feel quite ready to keep itself healthy at this time.

I am off on vacation pay for one week and then laid off at least 2 weeks after that until further notice. Planning to collect unemployment for those two or so weeks.

got up late and taking a nap now. Just resting right now.

might go drive to a park and read or walk outside with r - we will take sep cars and keep a distance from each other if we go. Weather is abnormally warm today at 65-70 and will be the only day Like this for awhile. I have enough food for now and just resting a bit.

Progress as of today: -3 lbs lost so far, only 1 lbs to go!

bearcountrygg on 03/20/2020:
Hopefully you don't come down with it......that is scary.

Horn_of_plenty on 03/21/2020:
I don’t think so but for now I am ok with relaxing a bit more at home lol :-)

I def think I was exposed to it though !

Donkey on 03/21/2020:
Nice to hear that you and R have made up :)

Were your legs up to another walk after your 5-miler? I worry about your ankles - BUT, having said that, I completely understand the desire to walk, especially when the temperatures are warm(er). It's quite cold here today, and even though the sun is out (sorta), it doesn't make walking as desirable.

Also, walking outside - something about it is SOO therapeutic. It calms a restless soul. It soothes away the choppy waves of anxiety. At least that's how it feels to me. I LOVE IT.

Horn_of_plenty on 03/22/2020:
yes, i do prefer the outside exercise over indoor cardio any day!

my legs were tired after the 5mi or so, but, i have also been able to rest my legs a lot.

it's nice to have "made up" with R though it's still not the same as it used to be, we are on good terms.

bearcountrygg on 03/19/2020:
Aren't freezers great?

horn_of_plenty on 03/19/2020:
Oh yeah ;) of course the baked goods were better the first time around but they weren’t all that bad either :)

Donkey on 03/20/2020:
Oh boy, how are your legs feeling today? I hope your ok. Still, I bet it was wonderful walking outside, feeling alive.

Seems as though eggs are difficult to get around here lately. I'm not much of an egg person but my daughter is.

So that I'm straight, are you home today?

horn_of_plenty on 03/20/2020:
I am home as of today - Friday. I worked on Thursday but that’s it. I’ll be on vaca for a week and then unemployment for at the least 2 weeks and hopefully not too much more....

Stay well and stay at a distance from alll people including coworkers donkey !

innerpeace on 03/20/2020:
Hope your legs are too sore! I sure wish I could walk 5 miles.

horn_of_plenty on 03/20/2020:
It was overboard but that’s how I usually behave in times like these !!!! Stay welll IP!

At work for today...

kombucha (bought a TON the other day) 50

bar 260, coffee 50

10:30 habernero almonds 100 choc 100

lunch: salad and dressing 150, 2 eggs 150, wrap 100...400

big orange 110, dried mango 140

light dinner: gummies lol 100, dried jackfruit, protein bar 20

so, we have been told that (I am in a union) we are working straight until Friday and that the company will lay most employees off to collect unemployment after Friday.  I have some unused days, so I will be laid off after those vacation/sick days run through which is a week more of full pay than most people which is good. We will then come back to work when the company decides to start the job back up in 2-4 weeks.

so time to be home, not get sick, and be active outside when weather permits!

Progress as of today: -3 lbs lost so far, only 1 lbs to go!

bearcountrygg on 03/18/2020:
I'm sure being home will be welcome as long as the pay keeps coming in....no travel expenses either......nothing like a paid vacation.

Horn_Of_Plenty on 03/18/2020:
if it lasts a couple weeks, that's fine...if it lasts a month, that could be fine....!

longer than that is sorta scary i'd say!

Donkey on 03/18/2020:
Kind of nice, I guess, except that you have to use your PTO first. So this is your vacation? Ugh...

However, the alternative is not so good either. At least you get to sleep in, now!

Horn_Of_Plenty on 03/19/2020:
the vacation /sick for this time year fully ends this month/next month so it's ok that i use it :) no complaints at all.

it was hard getting up today!!!

hopefully we stay healthy.

walked a little at lunch and a little after work, doing leg workout too.  therapy was cancelled (yay lol) - she did call to check on me :).

I'm at work today. we are not sure if our office will still make the move to the other office on Friday...waiting to hear if i should pack my stuff yet...i did start to pack just my stuff. my project manager has a lot more to pack, i may help her if she wants me to when she comes tomorrow thru friday to work...

someone on the job i work on, but who works in the field and not my office, was sick with the virus and everyone has been told to go home until Friday. they are going to clean the area and take others off the job that were in contact with him. the virus is definitely in the community spread portion now.

i don't know who the person is person, but i know of him thru the office and i'm on the same project as him but like i said he's in the field doing the work and i'm in the administrative office.

Progress as of today: -3 lbs lost so far, only 1 lbs to go!

bearcountrygg on 03/17/2020:
Well....it will be better to be out of Manhattan....but making the actual move may just be too much at the moment. Rest assured...that the decision will be made and be glad that you don't have to make it......and whatever choice they make....it will be carried out on their terms....hopefully you will only have to remove your own personal property....and they will do the rest.

Horn_Of_Plenty on 03/17/2020:
yes, it would be better with a shorter commute although the parking is poor there so i would still be taking a bus and train...although, yes, i'm glad i am not needing to make huge decisions right now...

stay healthy lady and good wishes to your husband as well!

bearcountrygg on 03/17/2020:
It's good that you haven't had in person contact.......More days off....that isn't all bad!

Horn_of_plenty on 03/17/2020:
oh! everyone in the FIELD is going home till friday...but i am in the Field OFFICE...so i am not sure if this includes me yet...things may change and i may have to be off also tomorrow...not sure yet. for now, we are planning to go to work, but this may change soon.

Donkey on 03/18/2020:
Whoa that's hitting really close, at work.

Did you enjoy the corned beef and cabbage? Sometimes the beef can be tough if not cooked properly.

Horn_Of_Plenty on 03/18/2020:
the beef was a little tough but the taste was 100% on. i put some butter on the cabbage and salt. tasted great. her potatoes were also 100% on.

i do hear people coughing time to time and they should prob be home...like a bad cough. mostly everyone appears healthy here.

Had a vaca day preplanned so didn't cancel it so I have the day off. Will comment later on everyone's page. Wanted to take some alone time as of late. Will be home today most of the day and later will cook turkey meatballs again- just need to use up the other meats I have at home first..have a lot of extra leftovers now and sadly some will go to waste..

9:30am gummies and kombucha 250..

11:30 early lunch leftover salmon with skin 350, on a wrap 150. 500, iced coffee with Stevia and almond milk 50.

almost 2pm large orange and gummies (slightly addicted right now!) 300

almost 3pm 2 chocolates 100

4pm-5pm chocolates and pb 200

dinner chicken 200, spiked drink 150, chips 250 600

almost 2pm.

Walked an hour outside while i got my laundry card refilled and picked up a month supply of anxiety medicine. then stayed out for an hour since i am home and mostly on the couch these days which is not the healthiest.

Also cleaned up the piggy cage and am doing a light load of laundry as well as the piggy fleece (i never wash anything with the piggy pee/poop fleece!)

i am also doing an upper body workout early this afternoon.

i will prob be at work today unless the subway (trains) get shut down.  if they do, i'll stay home from work tomorrow but i do not think the subway system is going to be shut down.

also, my office is supposed to move to its new location on Friday meaning i have to pack up my stuff in the office...we shall see if we still do this planned move this Friday!

Progress as of today: -3 lbs lost so far, only 1 lbs to go!

Donkey on 03/16/2020:
You know, I said I was a little jealous that you had today off, but now, I'm really glad that you did have this day - this whole day - to step back and just get stuff done and such. Because you live in a big city, the stress is THERE, even though you may think or know that you are not at a big risk. That is to say, all of this news is very gloomy, and NYC is at the center of a lot of it.

I do not think that they will close the subway, either, but who knows? And then moving offices? Just a lot of stress!

I hope you had a nice walk away least. It's been kind of chilly here again and it snowed again this morning. When will this end???

Horn_Of_Plenty on 03/17/2020:
it was a nice walk, yes. i'm lucky for that extra day off yesterday = less stress.

stay well. i do not think we will be moving Friday but the boss is still not sure he said...

bearcountrygg on 03/17/2020:
The trains shutting down would be huge......but if that is what it takes then it's worth it.

Horn_Of_Plenty on 03/17/2020:
there are still quite a few people still working, along with a lot of people fired from like restaurants (all shut down except delivery/pickup) and hotels (sister's husband laid everyone off and closed his/his uncle's hotel)

yes shutting down transportation would be a HUGE step if it had to be taken. then, i wouldn't be working.

Donkey on 03/17/2020:
^Agreed 100%

Horn_Of_Plenty on 03/17/2020:
it would be a huge change.

Horn_Of_Plenty on 03/17/2020:

Since you can take time off in March anyway....it worked out okay.

Oh enjoy your baking this weekend!

I wrote on my entry today about needing time off. Ugh... I'm rather jealous. :-)

Horn_of_plenty on 03/14/2020:
