Your thigh pain/sciatica does not sound good at all...do you regularly experience this and if so, what are some things you've tried to do to prevent/recover from it?

I ask because sometimes when i'm on the bike my left leg does numb all the way down to my foot and I think it is stemming from siatica as well.

i've been having the annoying thigh pain for years. it gets bad around my cycle, though not everyon cycle thank gosh!

yea, i regularly experience it. it's good to massage it and also take the pain meds. it can also occur from more sitting (i think) as i have some tendencies to be extraordinarily sedentary lol.

i think it could help to massage it. it could be because you have something pressing on your nerve...i can't believe it's the reason for me because i never "hurt my back" or damaged disks that i know of...but for some reason, i get pain always and only on my right thigh/butt.

i was reading it could stem all the way down to your foot., mine is only pain above the knee, nothing lower than that in my leg.

2- Test 3:This is the only thing further that i need to do for Monday, so i'm in good shape! (i didn't do it at all on Saturday, couldn't focus and kept putting it off from 2pm on) - starting Sunday around 4:30 6:30pm...glad i'm off tomorrow. - this task should take me around 2 hours, i think....i can do this!!!....

leave at 12:15pm to attend wake for super who passed away this week - with the driving it will be at least approx 4 hours overall of the day - glad we went :) (my dad and i went) DONE...there was "drama" there, i may write about it tomorrow, but may keep it to myself, haven't decided...my head is already onto homework now than to actually write about it (low key drama, nothing too major). DONE

7am having trouble sleeping in, so had a large banana 150, small piece pumpkin pie 150. 300.

10am oats 150, almond milk 30, golden raisins 150, gummies sour patch 50...380..later kombucha 50.

from noon-3pm 3 chocolates 150 (skipped lunch to eat later, purposely since i had a lot to eat this morning and wasn't eating before my dad picked me up around noon!)

light meal before heading off to wake with my dad around 12:15 (he's coming to pick me up as he's 1.5 hours away and i'm an hour away)..salad with a light dressing 100, mcdonalds (not stayng kosher for this holiday) fries 300, 4 nuggets 200. 600...some of an energy drink bc i bought a couple to have at home.

the one pig with the scaling of skin and loss of hair is forever, i think, separated from the baby that i fear was biting him. his skin is mostly healed now; but hair obviously hasn't grown back yet.

my eye healed. i get styes a lot, i touch my eyes too much and i'm prone. i had stopped using any eye drops or washing my eyes with baby shampoo (sometimes i do that when i feel i may face getting a stye)...i get them like 1x per year. annoying.

yeah, i woke up hungry at 6am and yes thats why i grabbed a banana (also i have been having endless leg thigh nerve pain - prob sciatica - in the leg that i always get sciatica...so a banana for health and carbs also help in promoting sleep...i was able to go back to sleep a little after that.

luckily my dad drove and the ride was OK. :) very good tips. i appreciate it.

I'm going to comment here on yesterday's test. You are wise not to take a test if you can't get into the right psychological "space". I get it. Been there.

bc each day this weekend was busy, i have been very unmotivated to do more work. it's now 5min to 9pm and i still have to do this test 3...i did do some research for it, but the research has me running in circles....involving bankrupcy in western texas court...very annoying right now! LOL. but i'm off tomorrow so that's why i'm going to finish the test tonight so i can start of next week's reading tomorrow and not this test! :)

this course does involve lots of research, the answers require it...which is a good challenge, since it's not busy work, but work that helps me learn the subject matter. it's a worthy course.

1- 10:30am leave my apt - swing my supermarket for exact change to pick up marketplace candles (both today and tomorrow)  in Long Island City (area in queens) at 11am DONE!

oil change, since I was already out on errands, still had some zest to get things done before staying home the rest of today! Weather is gorgeous but I my legs bother me so I'll be doing the ample he I need to do! Sitting here waiting until DONE!

see if it's worth it to have shoe repair - otherwise throw shoes away. worth it! $6. DONE!

Supermarket for cash/weekly food shopping DONE!

2- Test 3: do Satuday, 3/27/21  - starting after a late lunch...5pm...7pm.i was not in the mood to start any earlier.  This is the only thing further that i need to do for Monday, so i'm in good shape!

PM Edit: just learned at noon that the superindentent, who helped to get me this job, has died, at 55, due to a sudden heart attack while he was driving last night. It is a big loss, his passing, to the world. For he was one of the few good guys left in this world. Somebody who is a great father, husband...and also the best asset and superintendent a company could have. He was liked and loved by everyone who knew him. He worked hard, played hard, had a larger waistline and he was losing weight, but, that is why health is so important - because if you do not take care of your health, your life can be taken away from you - your friends and family and loved ones, just like it did to him.  My father knew him well, i knew him just under 10 years. it's a big loss for everyone who knew him.

Friday, March 26th - at work, will be paid, it turns out per the owner, if i don't take a vacation day, they are paid for instead of just losing them, here, at this company. so any sick AND vacation days i do not use this cycle, i'l get those payments on top of my regular weekly check.  but the reason i came to work is my plans on the weekend are cancelled and therefore i can spare taking today off.. (also parent's anniversary :) .

Although I understand why you decided to go into work today, I'm glad to see that you're still planning to take Monday off.

And I'm sorry to see that you've canceled your stewardship activity and walk with your family, but yes, you MUST rest your legs if you are having difficulties. Kind of like, "Don't even THINK about it" until your legs are feeling 100% (or as close to 100% as they can get). So I really applaud your awareness of your limits - and well in advance, not at the very last minute.

the good news is i will get paid for today regular and get paid in the future (next month) for not taking one of my vacation days this month.

...but the real reason i went to work is that I have more time on the weekend for studies and don't necessarily need today off anymore...it's like a compromise that i'll take one vaca day monday, and work today on this one.

at least here i'm paid for unused vacation. usually they only pay you for unused sick, so i guess it's a perk - if i really can spare vacation days (but that is within reason as vacation days are important days! LOL)

if i felt i needed this day off, i would have taken it, surely. :)

yeah, resting the legs...and realized that when i massage them with the rollers, it totally aids me feeling better....so i have to force myself to do this, and not just lay on the couch only...i have to massage the tightness out. it helps so much when i do!

yeah...thru the past experiences i have had, i do not want to hurt myself further...my lessons were learned...and that's why i cannot even think about exercising if i feel pain! yep, lessons i didn't know years ago!

freak, it's late now and i'm exercising, and i'm reviewing this entry and comments...i still need to get back to you...but you have it right, so i'll answer now...i'm still an administrative worker in the electrical industry. (no aspirations for the exact "paralegal" job right now as it pays even worse than i make to start!)

i want to possibly join the NYS courts in the future. to work my way from a lower entry "court assistant" to a mid level "clerk." that's your answer.

i'm still taking advanced paralegal courses now, sporatically, they are shorter, 7 week courses that i take some sessions and skip on other sessions because if i have no days off from work, i'm not comfortable taking a class at that time..

I'm sorry to hear that your legs are bothering you again. Very good idea not to weight train them right now, and just focus on upper body weights, and massaging/stretching legs.

Tonight is my night for legs at home. I do a limited number of exercises, though. It's probably not what one would consider a real "Leg Day", as they refer to it in bodybuilding communities.

yeah, i need to rest them so i cancelled my volunteering since it's a workout on saturday and i do not need that! sad i won't do it, it's a nice location...but i know my limits. so then since i have quite a bit of work at work and boss said he pays for unused sick and vacation, i decided to work tomorrow ...but still take a last day off Monday since there are loose ends i need to tie and i do not want to work so much when i'm taking the course. i figured it was a "compromise" to use one vaca day and work the other one! ...i don't feel so bad since this month i've been able to use 3 vacation days which total which is enough after Monday. if it really bothered me, i'd still take tomorrow. but, eh.

enough about me.

btw, i meant to tell you, i add up calories throughout the day. as i eat i tally them. of course, i have general ideas of what i can eat from experience, too, but i always add them up as i go...and that is somewhat how i decide what i'm eating later in the day, based on my calories left, etc.

my legs day is short also. if doing it fast, it can last under 10min. just squat variations and toe raises. i figure i have my limits on how much exercise in relation to relaxing i can commit to!

i may upload a photo of my lunch that i ate today, tomorrow. i'm too tired to do it now! ha!

yes, that's why i wrote the work goals, to help me, as it's a priority that needs to be on my mind right now, yes!

next, i was certainly busy...but i was able to sleep in and also when doing work i was on my comfortable futon and not a desk per se...with my legs up working at home. so sleeping in and doing work on a couch made yesterday worth it! and yes, it was mostly filled doing things, but nothing was rushed, so i was able to remain relaxed basically the whole day. a nice day off, not rushed, just efficiently busy!!!! :)

I get ebooks from the Brooklyn Library, many on hold for varying times. When I read a review of something interesting. I immediately check to see if I can add it to my hold list. They allow you to delay the hold if desired.

They have some very helpful support staff there. This one guy, think his name is Matt (LOL) was driving me nuts with endless efforts to help me when all was well. So I told him he sounded really hot and that I planned to visit the city & wanted to hook up. Predictably, he ceased and desisted. LOLLOLOLO

Annual Physical Exam, 2:30 pm, homework for my course that is due the 3rd week...check that...walk there as my only exercise for cardio today, take it easy. DONE!

MAYBE After physical, prob around 4pm- walk to nearby supermarket - get some veggies / fruit along with some perdue pre-cooked chicken for the rest of the week...or a 1/2 chicken rotisserie! yup ! ...DONE!

Upper body only workout (not in the mood to push myself to do full body again yet)...later in evening...DONE!

I totally agree with you getting your responsibilities' at work done first too......if others aren't doing theirs and pushing them off on you...then they should be able to get in line after your work. Of course there are extenuating circumstances once in awhile......BUT...one thing is for sure...a busy day goes by quickly and that's good.

most of the "other's repsonsibilities" that i was doing were things put on me by the owner, so i couldn't get out of it.

luckily, after my boss pushed me to do things Monday which should have been done LATER and not added to documents that were already finalized, i finally got back to my planned work at work...

I HOPE that my boss will leave me to do my own work tomorrow, but since i was off today i can see him pushing things on me that he "planned out" today...hope not though!

busy days are great, indeed.

thank you for the advice and i totally agree, i must push to do my own work even sorta with my boss since he operates totally on doing whatever he wants at all the wrong times, it seems.

Monday Evening to Finish: Due March 22: Bankruptcy Code Chapters 1,3,5..Test 2 - ..it's due Monday night, so I have to do most of it tonight...I did some of the prep for the assignment, so i know the materials i have to use to write it...it should take me around 1.5-2 hours to do it tonight; not too bad....DONE!...took around 2 hours...was hard but then got easier, I wasnt organized and didn't take notes the first time around, so i kinda had to look up the information 2x..ah well, learned something - glad i'm sleeping in tomorrow! DONE!


Today's work plan is to get thru all the folders on my desk, lay low...hopefully this will work out for me this Monday. Plan is to have my boss sign off on any payments that have all paperwork finalized and/or get finalizations ready for his sign-off..this is MY goals for work, hopefully i do not end up doing other people's goals...which is what happened last Thursday / Friday.....GOT UP A THOUSAND TIMES TO USE THE COPIER/PRINTER. Bankruptcy Course, March 8 thru April 23:

figure out a way to fit in these last two weeks of assignments, without taking days off from work (see if i can easiily enough do them only on the weekend).  But, I am extremely tempted to put in for one vacation day, new cycle of days, for April to help me with the course as well as the NYC parks volunteering i have planned.

Week 5 Due April 12: Chapters 7, 9, 11, 12 & 13  Bankruptcy Code

Week 6 Due April 19: - The Bankruptcy Rules (might be shorter / easier assignments than previous weeks, i'll have to see...)

Progress as of today: 5 lbs lost so far, only 0 lbs to go!

I meant to comment yesterday that you have an excellent plan for work! Lay low, get YOUR work done. I hope you don't get stuck doing other people's work again. That sucks. So get YOUR stuff done first.

Hope your tummy feels better. Could it be anxiety from having to deal with the boss again? Ugh...

to be quite literal, sometimes i poop a LOT on weekends bc i'm relaxed and i think i was feeling it into this AM,it's fully better now!

i got stick in the AM doing more extra work that should have been done a long time ago...but then i was able to get into my work..not done with it, but, i got through a bit :) very happy!

...and i actually meant some of the "extra work" could have been put off into the future...

the owner gets something in his head that he wants done and it's the generally tendency to just go with him, but i see it delays like everything, but he's the owner!

my boss does whatever he wants, i see...i may have to try harder i guess to do that!

me too, it had actually around $50 on it...! so i will use it up, then use the new one i bought (it's only $1 to spend on a metrocard, then you add your funds and they can be refilled) glad it's not money down the drain!

Catching up on your entries and just wanted to say that i'm sorry for what you are going through with your boss. I hope you are able to rectify it somewhat. My suggestion would be to let your boss know why the intended timelines are unreasonable.

In my mind, if you have the ability to flex a little with your time and/or resources, it might make this work environment a lot more manageable and enjoyable. If Mr. Boss would accept that you may need to work a little more on Tuesday to get paper A done by Wednesday, you might be able to stress a little less about actually getting everything done.

i totally did do what you suggested in your first paragraph...seemed to work out today so far :)

next, i would love to do what is in the second paragraph, in my past job, there were times when there was some flex time...work late one day, leave early the next...i think that this company, they don't want that - but - i don't mind it at all - the flex, within reason! :)

I'm getting there! Still i have a few folders to get thru, but, i'm making a lot of progress and doing lots of "research" to find out where the mistakes are and how to get everything approved / what to fix!

Sun March 21st  - I will be home most of  today; but i do have a few

errands :) in the morning.

Afternoon: Due March 22: Bankruptcy Code Chapters 1,3,5...read the intro lesson notes...between Saturday and Sunday I want to finish the week #2 assignments. BB2 - DONE!

6pm start...upper body only, skipping & lower today...legs still mighty sore anyways! DONE!

pumpkin pie didn't cook fully, leaving it to warm up on the counter to room temp was it was overnight in the fridge, may have to throw out if it doesn't cook (it might have needed one more egg with the coconut milk). we'll see. learning experience....back in oven....DONE!..basically cooked it an hour yesterday and an hour today! DONE!


Morning Errands: Done!

9:45-ish supermarket for cash $50 for the week, some of it, not all, is to do the haircut later.. the guy who did the keratin wouldn't cut my hair dry, so now i'm back at the barbershop with the barber that's there today...this makes me happy,  i don't care to spend money now on a haircut after the keratin..the keratin with my tip was 180, so $30 more to perfect it isn't much. . DONE!  

10:10am-ish pick up fb marketplace used candles DONE!

10:30am-ish stop by barbershop for a quick taking up of the back of my hair DONE!

food for lunch is all packed up, in freezer, for my 4 workdays - all leftovers that are frozen to stay fresh for this week!. Happy there will be no spending for "lunch meals"....dinner may include new purchases this week though! DONE!

sun eats:

breakfast, oats 150, raisins 150, almond milk 50, kombucha 50...400...

12:30 lunch: salad of my own with seasonings/dressing 150, honey mustard sauce 50, mcdonalds 3 nuggets 150 (ordered 6, saving the other half for dinner), small fries 300. coffee 50. 700 meant to buy an energy drink, monster, but forgot...so coffee it is!

3pm wafers & coffee 150

5:45 pm wine during workout 100 small amount, lindor dark choc truffles, so good. 150, strawberries 50

dinner: 3 nuggets leftover 150, few small pieces tuna sushi grade from salad yesterday 50,  my own greens mixed in with leftover salad from yesterday, 50, olive oil and seasonings 100, tortilla chips 200: 550. healthy dinner.

at work - work plan is to get thru all the folders on my desk, lay low...hopefully this will work out for me this Monday. Plan is to have my boss sign off on any payments that have all paperwork finalized and/or get finalizations ready for his sign-off..this is MY goals for work, hopefully i do not end up doing other people's goals...which is what happened last Thursday / Friday.....

Did you find your metro card? I meant to ask this since Friday! I hope so. It's so discouraging when things like this are lost.

I'm thinking of switching my breakfasts, from peanut butter wraps (260 calories) to oats (porridge), and then some kind of protein to be added (TBSP of peanut butter?) or as a snack later (hard boiled egg?). It's SO hard for me to change my routine.

That is one thing about baking.....ingredients and amounts are important...where preparing an entree type dish...you can make a lot of adjustments as you want.....baking is more precise....if you made up a recipe or altered the ingredients or measurements....it an affect the final product.

yes, i am aware of the precision needs :( of baking.

the coconut milk was slightly more ounces and i just hope it sets and it doesn't need ot be thrown out....i'll keep everyone updated...it's needing a lot more time for cooking, but i think it'll be OK...next time, i'm doing slightly under the amoutn of liquid needed for the pumpkin pie! UGH!
