organize clothing so i can drop off a donation whereever i can find an open bin to donate clothes this coming weekend...

kombucha neglig.

breakfast: egg 100, cream cheese on small wrap 200, coffee neglig. 

snack: tbd, brought some nuts to work in additional to my granola bars = getting healthier again with smarter choices...nuts and a granola bar. 250, couple candies 50

12:30 lunch: good leftovers..rice 200, chicken 200, peppers with olive oil 100..500, apple 50, coffee. 550

3pm snack: 100 cal almonds thai chili flavor 

Dinner: I have the cauliflower breaded and baked leftovers and with that.i could have a tuna wrap...yes. if i change my mind on the tuna wrap, I'll have toast with melted cheese...craving some cheese...or even a slice of cheese on the tuna sandwich...YES!!!!!       gummies 100, fries 300, nuggets 200...600, kit kats 4 fingers/bars  210...indulgent and tasty. all of it. low sugar gummies were to take the edge off while i reheated the mcdonalds fries and nuggest in the oven. kombucha 40.


bed early, no extra leg exercises tonight. just resting...unless i change my mind since i ate dinner early just after 6:20....

if i wanted, i could do leg strenthening tonight, but i do not want to at all. another rest night is in store, and most prob some cardio along my commute added in, but not overdoing. :)

things have been going well at work.

Glad your job is going well. Healthy snacks is a good idea.

I really miss the resistance machines at the gym, especially love the leg press. But I just keep using my ankle weights.

nice you have all those clothes. they pile up sometimes unexpectedly. I plan to do more donations again in the Spring / Summer after this...too many extra shirts laying around.

It sounds nice to be in an office working! Dealing with elearning is a drag. So wonderful that you’ve caught on quickly. I noticed the “hours in the sun” what is that? Do you just make sure to spend some time outside? If so I need to do that omg we spend all day indoors no one wants to go outside including me bc it’s soooo cold!

you guessed right! the "sun" time is any amount of time i spend moving / standing outside (more moving)...any activies / cardio in the sun...and also inside cardio.

i will tally each month to see how much "cardio" i get in...it's both in and outside...

no fit bit at all. never got into it. i don't do a lot of cardio and def do under the minimal 3-5mi per day....

it took me around 3-4 months to loose the 3 lbs or so. around 1800-2000 cals per day for that time period. and lots of sleep.

not sure i'll be maintaining the lower calories now since i'm up more hours of the day, less sleep, not sure i'll stick to 1800-2000 cals per day...may be more like always 2000 cals per day average, but we'll see.

it's a new low for me, 110lbs. not since i was around 22, / at times 24, did i weigh it.

snacks thru 10am: 100 cal granola bar, some candies 50...HUNGRY / tired lol...but i did get better sleep last night...so i will do my weights tonight :)

Noon healthy but indulgent lunch: salad with some olive oil 100, chinese leftover chicken 150, rice 200, minimal sauce 50? small persimmon 50, gummies 100, black coffee. 600...very indulgent and large volume - now extremely tired and sitting with a black coffee...makes me want to skip my workout tonight...but, i'll just try to get it done, i'm sure i'll feel better later....

5:30pm dinner: will be my cauliflower steak prepared with some sauce 150....., large amount, and with it will be more of the chinese chicken 200 :)....chinese broccoli 150,...500...tortilla chips ..200....700...hungry day...fruit persimmon 50...kombucha 50


if hungry late at night: chocolate again?

lol, i'm missing my guinea pigs...i can't wait to snuggle with them when i get home. they are beyond used to me....and it's the cutest thing EVER how we get along so so so well!

We used to have bins for donating clothing, but I prefer to choose my charities to donate to. I love to browse through the charity shops here as you can find some real treasures for very cheap. We have charity shops which benefit the heart assocation, cancer research kids, Oxfam, and Red Cross, and churches.

I have options for donating clothes as well, but with COVID, some folks aren't accepting donations at this time. I'm fortunate that I have a spare room where I can keep the bags of clothes to be donated. If I just wanted them o-u-t of the house, then I might just drop off at any bin accepting donations.

I will aim to do upper body weights today/tonight as well!

It seems like a lot has happened since I’ve been here! Congrats on the new job. How long have you been there? I totally hear you on the hungry mornings when working. I remember getting up 5:30, eating so early and lunch seemed like a distant dream in the misty future lol And I freeze stuff ALL the time. I buy stuff on clearance like bread and freeze hehe. It stays perfectly fine, then I just toast one slice at a time.

yes, that's exactly how i feel on these hungry mornings, exactly like you describe. do you freeze your bread in separate plastics or something? when it's frozen, how do you get pieces off? doesn't it freeze togeher.

HOP, I freeze bread, cakes, cookies, pies almost everything you can think of. Even milk and creamers. Cheese too. About the only things I know of that don’t work well are certain fruits

Never tried eggs, but not using the second carton of EggBeaters, so thinking about it. Only veggie I ever had the need to freeze was corn on the cob when purchased in bulk for my parrots. Cooked after defrosting in microwave and it was fine.

Think they partially cook some frozen vegetables. Notice this when I allow them to defrost before cooking. We should try freezing small pieces for the hell of it Wouldn’t be surprised if they would get flabby, but maybe ok when cooked But usually no need. I can eat them quickly enough

healthy lunch: tofu 100, 1small wraps 100, leftover cooked veggies 150, small orange 50. 400 maybe a black coffee. 

dinner the roasted breadcumb & cauliflower leftovers...but what meat???...may just do chinese takeout and save cauliflower for a different day, will order chicken with broccoli for dinner - chinese came with an egg roll fried, so ate the inside cabbage and small pork pieces and just a piece of the tasty fried shell 200, chicken and sauce 200, broccoli with sauce (tried to take some sauce off bc it's heavy chinese sauce but is very tasty and cheap by me - so i may keep ordering this!) 200. 600...dessert  4 kit kat fingers 210. 800 total....kombucha 50....


got some cardio via my commute...rounded it up to an hour bc i was also not sitting at my desk all day and was up running up and down the stairs a bit...to go to the office next door to drop things off.



plan to take it somewhat easy tonight...no exercise, just light cardio.  i went to bed late last night and already want to try to sleep earlier tonight.... :-)

I hope you have a good day at work! I don't blame you for taking Monday easy tonight. This could change as you get more and more comfortable with your job. Personally, I don't know how people do it with having an evening packed with stuff to do. I guess they can function well on like 4-5 hours of sleep all the time. Sometimes I think of all that I could accomplish if I didn't need to waste time sleeping (LOL!)...

I noticed you've lost weight. How do you feel about that?

yes, like you, i need sleep and cannot go on 5 hours and not get sick or feel great with less...my dad was a little better than me, much better, on doing work on little sleep. but i really prefer not to do that. it doesn't work out as well for me as my dad...

yes, the weightloss happened both as i was eating less leading up to the job and then in general with a change of schedule and stresses of new job, the weight stayed off...

i feel really, really good at current weight. clothes fit perfectly, really..

though - i'm not sure if i will maintain this weight or if it will eventually go up...not sure...it's a "new low" for me that i was at shortly last fall when i was in hospital...the time i took away from here if you remember...but now as a healthy weight, from regular life situations, i am not sure i can maintain it, though i'm going to see...and would love to ;)

last year when i was this weight, i didn't feel right, but this time i lost the weight gradually, and i feel fine at this lower weight (by a few pounds only!)

i just love that they "aren't mine" and therefore they aren't mine to have to look after for years and years in addition to mine...i kinda like being just a foster for any pigs more than my 2 that i own...my dad would flip, for instance, if i wenton vacation in the future, and he's stuck watching FOUR pigs....another reason i'm liking this short-term foster program. who knows, maybe i'll be fostering even more in the future, like 4 pigs in addition to mine! how cool would that be! HAHA

i think you are right and i'm a bit lucky...but i used to have terrible binge episodes if you remember? so glad i am majorly past that! i think it helped to take some anxiety medicine...to help me not binge...because i think i was bingeing partially to help/food medicate my anxiety and that i didn't realize it till later that was the case. (but i did figure this out years ago!)

starting again to gather up more clothes that i do not wear to clean up my closets / donate..have a small pile so far of around 8 tops to give away, trying to clean up my closets more.  Realized i have a LOT more gray, warm shirts than i thought!!!

8am breakfast: oats 150, raisins 150, almond milk 50, kombucha 50...400....

11am-11:45am healthy meal: lots of chips/pea crisps 350, 2 slices munster cheese 120, cauliflower oreganato (with bread crumbs and olive oil and spices, roasted) 200 and a little more especially of the breadcrumbs 100 and a sweetened black coffee 

4pm meal: fruit x2 200, fage 5% greek with apricot 150, black coffee

dinner: ????................

7:30 light evening snacking during weights: choc filled wafers 150, pb 150, water. 300.half a sparkling cider 50.

1900-1950...prob sleep early after weights....got lower body in also today.

.............will be my tofu and leftovers from i forget exactly when last week so I do not need to throw them out/waste them before buying any more food this week :)??? may eat this all for lunch tomrrow & bed early????............this will be tomorrow's lunch.


On my way home from work tomorrow or at lunch tomorrow, I may do takeout of chinese to bring home for dinner... :)...but first I'll eat tonight what I have at home in my fridge!  i also have some frozen meat, already cooked, that I am going to start eating more of :) I'm lucky i have those meat leftovers in my freezer - both my own cooking and my mom's.  I will be making good of the food I have at home as well as doing takeout on cooked veggies until i am better organized and used to the commute and my weekends slow down a little without the extra errands (like yesterday's driving to victoria's secret and spending lots of time out, shopping around. next weekend, i will pick up 2 guinea pigs (more) that i will be a foster mom to - until they are adopted! i get a cage with them too! so, that's a big deal for next weekend because it's around an hour's drive away to pick up the pigs....so when things die down, I'll cook more....

 NO COOKING today....i'll get by on salads for lunch most days at work and takeout veggies for dinner this week...may do takeout from a place by work and take it home with me :)...yup...probably tuesday bc it seems i have enough food right now for dinner Monday night still with leftovers!..maybe even enough food at home until Wednesday...willl try to be conservative with using up food and not wasting it as much as possible!

PM after walk Laundry and guinea pig cage cleaning - done early in AM DONE!

1-3pm nature walk, 20 min away by car locally, i signed up for...should be more relaxing than taxing...good way to end the weekend! we seriously walked a total of like 15 min out of the two hours! mostly just standing, listening to her teach us about the trees...i gave feedback that it'd be better to cover at least a mile walking over 2 hours, if not 1.5 miles (round trip)...it's not even to walk not even half a mile over two hours. that's wrong in this cold !!! lol. but, it was very informative. DONE!

fell asleep after the snack after the walk....for like a half hour....just laying on couch...then weights...

 AM PM after walk upper body weights before nature walk so that i can come home and know exercise is all done and i'm relaxing the rest of today.....hopefully...weights may go on tonight AFTER walk....because i'm not sure i want to rush them /eat / get laundry...so i'll do them tonight...should be OK as basically the only thing i need to do this evening :) in progress, halfway done at 7:30...to DONE!

in two hours, we seriously walked less than 1/4 mile round trip...i def gave feedback that besides educating us, we must be able to walk at least a mile or a mile in a half, roundtrip that should be the minimum, for a TWO HOUR walk!...otherwise, it was very educational, but we stood still for most of two hours.

Saturday Plans:

call geico, get my new rate after defensive driving, pay bill over phone asap...bill was $550 with discount but they also credited my previous 6 months for a discount, so my bill today was around $510..nice it wasn't the original $600! saved almost $100. DONE!

get few items from dry cleaners that were mostly resewn and repaired from last week along with a dress shirt I got dry cleaned that I only wear very infrequently and is a great shirt to be maintained in it's quality thru proper dry cleaning :-) DONE!

i have a coupon for two free victoria's secret panties if i buy anything in the store....so i want to do that...basically, it will be worth it, financially, as long as my purchase is very minimal...so i'll see how cheap i can go tomorrow in order two get 2 free new pairs of underwear. there used to be many more victoria's secret stores by me, one on my way home, but i learned they have closed....so tomorrow i'll be driving specifically to a store in order to get this deal, which is very worth it because the one purchase has no minimum meaning i can purhase the cheapest thing in the store to get two pairs of underwear, which i could use; DONE!

in the shopping center i went, there was an Express Outlet clothing shop - bought two shirts on clearance, one a thin turtleneck but i liked it was a turtleneck, though just cotton for $10; the other a warm sweater less than $20...figured i could use more and throw away some ugly sweaters that i should never wear again (like a bright green one i don't even like looking at!)..in the shopping center, i found a LARGE gourmet supermarket - picked up not much but a few prepared veggies that haven't been cooked - it's designed for me to heat up and already seasoned ...cheaper than the already cooked ones, so i got these and i'll get to eat them fresh from my oven - cauliflower oreganato. half the stores in the shopping center were closed for good - very sad the way things are changing.

i may do weights - upper only -  in the evening?? Tomorrow 

not much planned for cardio, minimal walk to cleaners....

I've been taking the elderberry gummies too! Husband takes them all the time as part of his daily regimen but I've only been taking them this week, since I've been fighting some kind of bug off. They are SO yummy!

I think we're living parallel lives today, as I'm doing a ton of laundry too. If you do weights, I will do weights. Upper body for me today, I think.

 My phone SIM card just flat out died. Therefore, my phone doesn't work at all!  So yes, i'm updating while at work here.

At lunch, i'm going to go to a nearby Tmobile store to replace it....what a hassle! LOL. who would guess a phone that's only 2 years old would have a SIM card just flat out stop working. It means i have no internet on the phone, cannot text, cannot call, cannot surf web. basically, it renders the phone useless.  Hope to fix during my "lunch hour." And you all know I will not stay late today at work. no no.

dinner: i have leftovers still...had my own tofu 100, with some rice 150, thai veggies in a light basil sauce 250, picked up thai on the way home, quite a bit, large serving, kombucha 50, persimmon fruit i bought on the way home 50, chocolate filled wafer cookies 200....800..(very indulgent, but i knew i had calories to spare, hard to satisfy myself).

I plan to buy some takeout on Saturday ;) already planning to do that...cooking is not really on my agenda too much for now...i have a lot of other more exciting activities to think about for this weekend.

I'm glad i did weights last night and i also stayed up late watching some tv in order to relax after lifting.  The shows were fabulous...seems that I may start changing my routine, dealing with less sleep every so often (as always), but also starting to watch some engaging tv shows and dateline news stories. my mind is searching for information and knowledge at the moment.!!! :)

MAJOR GOALUpper body strength tonight, will come home fast, no walking, to get it done and have time for sleep tonight. no extra walking today, same as yesterday. need my rest right now.

kombucha, minimal

breakfast: whole wheat thick slice 120, pb 200, coffee 50...400

snack: bar if necesary, will start bringing an egg to work or have egg sandwiches for breakfast very soon......will have a higher calorie, more nutritious bar today in light of a small granola bar..250 cal...hopefully will keep me feeling better until i eat lunch


lunch: healthy - leftover good shwarma that i had in my freezer 200?, salad with oil and garlic 150, wrap 100, orange small 50. 500 approx, may have some of my monster in the fridge, energy drink sugar free, from yesterday...didn't pour leftover down the drain...i will not get addicted again, just enjoying it moderately for now, not drinking entire cans of it or anything....

1150 approx....need to order some sucking candies on amazon..will do that now...

dinner cooked veggies nice amount 200, leftover home fries 200, tofu 100, big apple 100, later kombucha 50, later chocolate 100. 750...

I have sugar free mint life savers in my drawer at work, to help with sugar cravings. I think I'll get some fruit flavored sugar free candies when I pick up more gummies from the local store.

I've been taking 2 hard boiled eggs to eat for 2nd breakfast at around 10:30a. I think it helps with energy and satiety.

yes, need to improve my eating, as i thought i would have to after changing my hours to rise much earlier than when i wasn't working...def need to work on my diet now, bc carbs aren't going to cut it like they did when i wasn't working...i'm up too many hours and need to eat better.

I hope you're finding a good routine now that you're back to work. I've been making myself a smoothie in the morning before I leave for work so that I have a healthy snack while i'm at work in the morning. Otherwise, I will look for less healthy options and probably end up eating chocolate LOL.

 g-d has been watching me like a hawk and is going with me this year. not sure what it is, but i feel so positive, so energized, so whole. i don't feel like i'm constantly lacking. i don't feel like I have to second guess myself...i feel ALRIGHT!  does this happen to everyone at 38 yrs old? anyone get this all of a sudden at any certain point in life??? i'll ask this again tomorrow!

goal to do leg strength tonight (half hour tops is the length of my leg exercises, mostly squat variations)....but there's a STRONG POSSIBILITY that i'll skip legs tonight because i'm really tired and there's many more days left in the week....

didn't sleep well last night, so i may try to head to bed early, i might also wash some face masks in the laundry with any clothes that have built up...found like 5 more masks and want to have some that are clean...more than i have now...

Hmm... There have been times where I have felt closer to God, felt guided or had things confirmed. Can't say it was at exactly 38 years old, but I've had that feeling several times. I don't always feel it or "see" why things happen, so I always try to keep an open heart to hearing God.

Hope you get to bed early tonight! Ahhhhhh what a wonderful idea!

12:45pm lunch: salad with light olive oil and seasonings 150, wrap 100, small apple 50, cooked salmon from parents 300. 600; hot black coffee from office (glad i do not need to ever pay for coffee...it's free here all day).

dinner: cooked veggies i picked up on the way home so i have other than cold salad for the rest of the week with dinner (i'll do salads for my lunches, but i want cooked veggies for my dinners)...150, rest of the cooked salmon from my mom with bbq sauce 300, chips - tortilla chips 250. 700, some kombucha 50.

Are you starting your third week? I remember saying that things start to fall into place after the 3rd week, at least in my experiences.

Which is why it's probably a good idea to try to do weights tonight, if you still plan to weight train during the week. Good for you!

Some tasks i will not do until end of the month...there's certain things i do only end of month...so i will learn the hang of them next week.

but my biggest priorities have fallen into place, yes.

38 was 30 years ago for me. 38 was not a good year for me, but at 40 things became great! And they've gotten better ever since. My best years so far have been my mid-50s to now and hope my 70's can be even half as good.

I think today I can say i was outside at least 1.25 hours..maybe more, but, i'll consider it that.

3day weekend. going to see parents. on way home, may stop at supermarket, but to tell you the truth  - i may skip that too and just come home to spend the day relaxing at home!

I want to do leg strength exercises today too.

9am oats and raisins 300, almond milk 50/gummy vitamin, kombucha guava 50. 400.

Noon snack: large twix bars 250 (hungry during walk with mom, it's all i had and i knew i wouldn't be eating lunch in her house bc she doesn't want me breathing without mask in her house because of Covid and i ride subways now...)

2:30pm light lunch: back at home, not much, chocolate grahm cracker snack 150, spiked cider 100. 250

5:30 early dinner: leftover shawarma meat smaller portion 150?, leftover veggies including some potato 150 but still hungry...portions too small, looking in fridge for more..cheese doodles 150...450


seems calories are low today and I'm ready to go to bed very early ....can't think past getting up around 5:15am tomorrow morning 


 i don't have veggies prepared for tomorrow's lunch...thinking just to have a salad instead of cooked veggies and that makes sense because i have tons of romaine and lettuce in my apt right now.....and very little cooked veggies beyond what may be in the freezer.

Electric kettles in certain areas here get a lot of limescale on the bottom of them. Especially places like London. Horrible water there!
