All of my binging lately has given me an excess of around 7500 calories, 2 extra pounds for me. yay! just kidding on the excitement of gaining pounds! lol. I will have to work to get rid of it, but something tells me I'm gonna do it and keep doing it. It is really not that hard for me to lose weight when I keep up with lifting weights because the body burns more calories overall each day....and cardio I am trying to increase. Whenever i do get more cardio in and weights are done, I lose weight almost easily!  Also, on these few days off, I will kick my own A$$ by taking some bikram (hot) yoga classes and double up on them - kinda like bootcamp bikram! it will be VERY TOUGH. but i want the challenge. eating wise, the only thing i will not do is binge. But i can eat, as usual, whatever I want to.


Monday was also terrible binging....

Today started off rocky and got better. 2500 calories =  a much better day than the 5,000 calories per day on Sunday + Monday. I'm gonna be OK. I just needed to get it off my chest. thank you.

exercise: light bike riding for 1/2 hour, weights for 1.5 hardcore hours! :-)

work: 2 hours overtime.

I got to the gym around 8 and stayed until around 9:30.

tomorrow i have work to get up for, but it's the last day for my week so that's why i don't mind getting to bed a little late tonight. :-) tomorrow is like Friday for me!

This is Monday's entry:

midnight snack: 2 large plums 150.

breakfast: chicken wrap, milk: hungry! 400.

calories till end of work: 1150

early dinner: 2 plums 100, cold chinese hot and sour soup and it was even gross, but i was hungry and it had tons of tofu and filling ingredients. the broth was nasty when cold...gooey and sticky. lots of soup, so, i'd say at least 500.


not in the mood for exercise - i don't think i will today. i just wanna read right now, maybe, or sleep.

at home: wrap 110, drink 110, chips 280. 500

2150.+ lots of binging...not sure on total cals. 4000-5000.

yesterday (last night really) was a really bad day emotionally, still feeling it. i do want to binge, on Checker's fries and i am craving steak/hamburger. I think I'm PMSing as well....

anyway, i may give in and eat fries/hamburger later...we'll see.

off to exercise just  a little, i'm in a deep sweat from eating so much yesterday.

breakfast: large plum, cereal, milk 400, pretzels 250, yogurt 150: 800. coconut water 60.

lunch: peanut butter sandwich: 400. and cocounut water 60.

i'm gonna round it, just say 1320.

snacks: 430

snacks: 110

1860...already a much better day, thank god.

dinner: chips, turkey wrap, some veggies.

2250 total.

my MOM is being a complete b-tch to me and she just got home with dad after an 8 day trip.  The house was left CLEAN, her mail organized, everything ready. She's such a b_tch despite it. freakin b-tch.  at this moment, i can't say i love her. usually, i just say "she's family, my mom, of course i love her." but at this very moment i do not.

Oh the mother-daughter relationship - reading your post is so timely - I had just hung up from my mom in "panic mode" and acting as if it was MY fault I called her just when she was coming in from the garage and she "had" to run up the steps - now I ask you - could she have NOT lef the phone RING - it's not like anyone except me ever calls them, anyway!There that said - I feel better too! I like what Morbidkitty said above - try to be satisfied knowing you are a good person and she has "issues". SIGH!!!******

grrr, weight is 131 today. hoping it's mostly bloat. we all know that our weights fluctuate. it's true i've had a bit high calories this week as well as last Sunday.  My calories do balance out well, but I haven't balanced out last sunday's approx 2900 calories. so i probably have an extra 1,000 to relieve myself of. lol.

it's not good to think of dieting though, and think of balancing calories. it's better to take each day at a time, forget about what is passed, and try to make each day a good one. otherwise, you're constantly stuck in a diet mentality "if i have this, i can't eat that, too many calories yesterday, need to be good today" and these thoughts are not ones i need right now!

4AM Breakfast, can't sleep bc i know i have to visit my grandma in Queens today, before some other errands, before I meet my friend for the remainder of the day for her bday.  I have a lot in store! And crossing my fingers it doesn't rain Sunday or Monday when I get my hair semi-permanently brazilian straightened!

4am Breakfast: soymilk 100, pretzels 220, plums 100: 420 good.

exercise: walk in AM. over an hour.

7:30am second breakfast: plum #3 50, fiber one and soy milk 200.

long day only 2:30 and already 1800 cal :-(  grrrrr.

with dinner: 2300?

with snack: around 2600. not too bad.


UPDATE Midnight:

binge at home at midnight: 2 very large plums 160, crackers 120, 2 bags chips 260, large bowl cereal and soy milk 400: 940 whoa....and then even more...........ice cream, chips, etc.

total: 3240 can't help it.  5000 total calories. ugh. full.  i know exactly why - my parents were coming home after 8 days of being away and i was still alone in the house, also i was very emotional after watching The Help (movie). very emotional reasons to binge and i couldn't stop.

I like the idea of having a certain number of calories for the week. That way a couple of high days are balanced out by a couple of low ones and you don't feel as if you are a failure on a high day. I hope the weather holds for you and that you have a good rest of the weekend.:)

calories through work: 1100. (peanut butter cheese crackers 190, protein shake 210, little bit of coffee, almonds150 or so, chinese for lunch some wanton soup total maybe 500 for the whole soup/some hot and sour soup total maybe 300 for the soup, lays potato chips100 )

dinner: 100 (rest of wanton soup, hot and sour soup, two plums)


snack: granola bar, some bran, big grapefruit: 300

total 1850...good.

exercise: will take a nap then head to the gym, hopefully. so pooped still!

exercise: hardcore weights, pushups, a little cardio (around 20 min elliptical)

good day.

i binged on sauteed broccoli with my dinner: 3 full plates worth! LOL. was so good, i ordered 3 because i was gonna eat it tomorrow as well...lol. all tonight and then a microwave meal on top of that. hopefully i will not have too much gas tomorrow lol. haha.

total: around 2000, hopefully less. lol and single serve size of pumpkin pie. total = 2370 lovely ones (calories).  I do not regret these calories, because the big picture is that they are not astronomically high at all. they will not cause weight gain with appropriate exercise and calories in the following days. it's the season for pumpkin pie and it's awesome that i found these little haha 370 calorie suckers. yum.

50 min cardio.

exercise: short bike ride, under a half hour to and from the gym combined, weights 1.5 hardcore hours! wahoo.

calories: around 1750 or so. very good.

dinner was big: lots of tofu heated up on dried seaweed 2 packages and two small bags of sun chips. was tasty.


I ended up not working any O.T. today. I asked my boss if I could leave and it was the BEST decision.  I dropped my pants off at the cleaners and went to the gym. HARD CORE workout, I tell ya! 

I have had a few comments on my weightloss. But funny part is, as you can see on my chart and listed in my entries, I haven't even lost over 5 lbs!  It must be because I'm also weightlifting and getting stronger that way. The extra muscle, even if a little bit, probably enhances the weightloss I have achieved.

I love the comments. And my boss seems to think I am in decent shape  - he commented saying he'd like to have a body like mine haha...he is trying to lose weight. But, in my mind, I do not feel like i'm in good shape. I actually feel very fat.  According to the healthy weight charts, I am indeed at the upper end of healthy, so, it's true I can stand to lose some lbs.  (i am short.)

I will keep up my exercising. and I will NOT have any particular weightloss goals, like to be any certain weight. I will let my body lose weight as it wants, trying not to binge and keeping with my exercise routine. Limiting no particular foods and still eating what i want and like. Nothing is off limits. (nothing has been off limits, i'm just saying this is the BEST approach for me for weightloss).

I will be very happy when I reach 125...that's a long ways away though. I am also happy at where I am at now. :-)

My true goal, way down the road, will be to weigh in the teens, like 115. that's probably my end goal. I remember feeling pretty good at the weight  - BUT if I feel good in the low 120's, i may stop there! I don't have a goal to be a skinny and weak woman.

dinner: nice butternut squash souflee 300, lots of lite corn cakes. 200?  perfect, exaclty what i wanted. 500

total: 1950. perfect.


exercise: half hour bike, hour weights/pushups.

I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna lose the extra weight this time. I'm already in the 120's! yay. soooooo awesome. I've done it, I'm doing it! I need to realize that I'm making progress. I've accomplished so much.  I will continue. I will be thinner and thinner, healthier too.  More toned. More everything.  Just what I want, what I like. I'm gonna make this happen. I have to.

I am going to go on a cruise (i want to, it's not planned or anything) and i'm going to look good. there isn't such thing as "perfect."  I will state this: I DO NOT want to look perfect. I want to LOOK GOOD FOR ME. for my body, for what i can do, what i can accomplish, as long as i make the effort, i'll be proud of how i look for who i am.  for my efforts and accomplishments.

yes, i am unhappy with a lot of my life: work and relationships as well as a lack of positive feelings of security and success. but it's ok. i'm working on this, too.  I will be ok. I am hoping that i do get into the police academy. It will be another (good) change of lifestyle. It's certainly what i NEED.

what else? hmm, i don't know. i will just keep up the good work. and lack of binges. I am doing good, let me just keep reminding myself of this. and get some sleep. and think happy thoughts even when i don't think anything is going my way, bc it is going more my way than i think. other people have it SO MUCH WORSE. i am lucky. thank god. i am so lucky. for so many things that i forget about. a house i can live in. a free car to drive. parents who get so frustrated but really only want the best for me.

i am lucky. i cannot forget this. i am so lucky.

late night edit: i was gonna be in bed by like 8:30 but my friend stayed late and i helped her get gas and stuff. so it's a little later, but i should still be able to manage a decent amount of sleep for tomorrow.

calories before dinner: 1100.

dinner: big buffet, but mostly healthy. probably 1,000 for dinner. killer was the dessert though. maybe also 800?

so maybe 2900 at most. not terrible. without dessert would have been better. but i don't regret it bc the dessert was all kinds of tastes of different cakes. bite sized pieces and also some green tea ice cream. nice to splurge now and again....plus, i still weighed 129 this AM. doing good. maybe 128 by the end of this week!

10 hrs of sleep and i could sleep more!!!!!!! haha

snack: healthy wheat cakes (lots of fiber - COCO Lite multigrain cakes - look 'em up online!) http://www.wegmans.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10052&catalogId=10001&productId=723642 120  (i didn't purchase from Wegman's, but this is what i had. 6 of them. they are huge and fun. 6g fiber for the multigrain, the corn ones of no fiber.


i think i'm gonna fall back to sleep now.tempted to eat one of the single serve 370 cal pumpkin pies i bought. i bought 2 of 'em. grrr, but what i probably am is tired, not hungry....(or maybe i'll actually clean up, fold and do laundry, empty the dishwasher, and cook....) too  much to do this AM because later i'll be leaving the house in less than two hours to drive out to the the outlets on Long Island (1.5 hrs or so away.)  I am good with just relaxing here for a little. i guess i can do only what i can and not rush. i really don't wanna do any rushing today.  and i plan to sleep a lot tonight.  maybe be in bed before 8 if i can. last week i had such a lack of sleep (waking up several days around 4:30am for work and going to bed around 11pm) that i'm still exhausted.

If you slept 10 hours you must have really needed it! A lot of people don't like V8. It's not as good here even though it's the same recipe as in the US, but just doesn't taste the same.

I got those popcorn things at Whole Foods here. They were pretty good for a snack with peanut butter or cream cheese spread on them. I liked the crunch.

Yay for 129 and on to 128!! :) you are doing awesome girl! I agree it is more than ok to splurge once in awhile. There is a wonderful Chinese buffet that my husband and i love because they have great sushi...all you can eat and you just cant beat it since sushi is sooo expensive! Anyway, i get everything i want and then dessert but I never feel bad after eating there because it's something we enjoy as a family outing and it's something i feel i deserve. We all do. Keep it up, i know you will reach your goal for the week :)
