Late 10am Breakfast oats 150 raisins 150 almond milk 50, gummies 100

i slept the mornign away, literallly...i don't regret it necessarily, but it's done. i will go out for bike riding in the afternoon - or - just walk around here. i will also be doing weights today (upper body).  it's a nice day, i really should go out in the sushine even if it's only for a half hour.

2pm lunch: small amount of chicken 150 on an english muffin 150, wiith some light spread (calories low)..followed by a clementine 50...and later iced coffee 50. 400.

snacks between 5-6:30 chocolate 120, pb 160...approx 300.

looking to get fried chicken for dinner and ride my indoor bike tonight as i watch tv. ..never went outside for a walk, but i did get my weights in.!

dinner: Arby's - fried chicken 350 (hopefully not much more), fries 300. 650.

Late snack - white chocolate 100

1900. Looking to eat a little healthier tomorrow. And be more active as well. No cardio today.

did my laundry, studied a little bit, ...

signed up for advanced paralegal certificate course that can be taken in 6 increments and I have up to ONE YEAR to finish it - VERY possible. I will take one course to start (you can take up to 3 in one shot), and also be continuing some PMP studying also...I should EASILY manage 6 short courses over the course of this year, i KNOW that..and those courses will add up to a final ADVANCED paralgeal certificate with 6 specialties that i have studied...

i know i wasn't going to take any courses while studying for PMP exam, but, turns out I feel i have enough time for both and especially bc i am not sure when i'm starting work / getting a job...even if i DO get a job...i will just do the courses...it's as easy as taking ONLY ONE course per session...these courses are easier (10 hours per week?) than when i took the first paralegal course this past Summer/Fall. still waiting for my grades.

the advanced paralegal gives me training in 6 specialties of my choice such as: bankruptcy law, matrimony (i think?), trusts and estates, immigration law, etc...it could be great to add to my resume to show i DO in fact have some training...because now i do not have ANY training in the specialties - that's right, none. so, it's not costly and i will use some of the money i had originally wanted to use for signing up for the Advanced Dispute Course (which i will still take - but as part of the Advanced Certifiicate instead of on it's own....this certificate could be VERY helpful for me...i'm not done thinking about paralegal, even if i enter bACK to the union (most probably), I dream a future in the NYS courts as my last and preferable career path.

picked up masks and shirts for dad, kept them in my car for his bday tomorrow...

then, a 45 min walk with dad - very nice

lunch- by dad - canned good chicken soup with extra chicken added 450. Slice pizza small 200

 3:30pm back at home fell asleep studying until  4:15pm!

4:15pm cookies, too many 300...pb on cheese crackers and also two last butter cookies...also going to have some veggies - ratatouillle 100

been having some less healthy eating days lately...

back to some studing followed by weights later today...

5:45pm grapes, greek yogurt with stevia & instant coffee grinds mixed in before weghts/legs workout 200

went to pick up the mask/shirts for dad and it was surprisingly 5 minutes away from where my parents live! Just a coincidence since it was the next town over and could have been slightly farther. So I drove to parents and dad walked with me outside and I'll have lunch with my parents. Was supposed to have a recruiter phone call at 11:30 but now it's 11:50 and nothing....I'll go back home later for studying / weights ....all done. ..recruiter called later and it went relatively well. We'll see if it leads anywhere. It was for a firm dealing with asbestos cases on the plaintiff side.

need to make sure i have a bday card for my dad for tomorrow..later today i'll check..have it!

and upper body weights-maybe do some lower body strength too.both done !!

How sweet that you and your Dad had a walk together. Treasure the memories. Happy bd to him, too. My Dad was killed in a car wreck when I was 9, so I never did really get to know him but I loved him. He was a good person.

It’s very good and I added a bit of spices (dried from pantry) in. I made sure the carrots / squash cooked enough - will try to make it more often or similar cooked veggie dishes - very healthy

9am breakfast: oats, 150, big banana 150...i'm not even sure i drank anything..just ran out the door to get to the farm for Tuesday morning Volunteering for a couple hours. Was WONDERFUL.  Saw some regulars that come on Tuesday mornings...such nice people that I met earlier in the Summer. 300.

11am-12pm snacking at farm/on way home from farm: small reeces cups 200 total. 

1pm healthy lunch: small amount of baked chicken (SO GOOD!) 200, on an english muffin with some spread 200., coffee 50. 450.

3:30 carbs / snack: crackers... 350...sour gummies 120...other gummies 100

1520.. today might be slightly higher calorie....

ratatoulle cooked by...me! was good! 200, spiked seltzer 50

Today - Tuesday:

Farm volunteering (picking sungold small tomatoes & beans!) 10-12pm - DONE

i have an interview in a little while later today for a Matrimonial Paralegal job...sounds very intriguing (especially if they offer medical insurance...i have to ask) DONE

I have been applying to some jobs online...will apply to a few more today...mostly DONE

I plan on weights today...i will be home most of the rest of today (1pm onwards)..

dyed my small amount of gray roots!!! :) ... found a good product that i may even be able to reuse the leftovers for next month or 2!!! DONE!

I also plan to study PMP using only the app on my phone

Tomorrow - Wednesday:

I go out early to pick up my dad's bday present from former High School friend who works to design masks and shirts...i pick it up from her house which is on the close side to where i live (half hour without traffic)

And make sure I have a card for my dad as well. He turns 68 Thursday and he just retired a week ago also.

After going to pick up dad's gifts, I will be coming back home to study a bit

I will also get good cardio in tomorrow (either bike or walking)...maybe do the walk i have been doing a couple times already...in a different direction that still feels new and unique.

i want to cook ratatoille (veggie dish) ...i have a ton of great ingredients from it - mostly from the farm!..free.

Dad's Bday is Thursday...i will prob visit him on that day and/or the weekend also...

On weekend may go apple picking upstate (Sunday?) wtih friend who lives halfway upstate....i drive to her and we go together the rest of the way :)

i just had an interview for a spot to be a paralegal for a law firm in NYC that would be relatively simple to go to...we'll see if that could work out for me, it'd be a good idea to take the chance to move over to a slightly diff career now.

the job market is still a challenge, but, i guess the more resumes i put out, the better my chances.

i haven't heard anything from the electrical union for jobs...thinking it is very slim pickings right now....

it'd be good for me to pick up some skills as a paralegal...maybe use them to move into the New York State courts / New York City courts..

Finalized my own gift to my dad...personalized mask & shirt..for his bday and retirement...with former High School classmate that does this and advertises on facebook...if it all works out, i'll be picking them up from here early this coming week!, in time for dad's bday on October 8! amazing. he is getting a trike so he doesn't have to balance on a regular bike anymore :) he was beginning to have balance issues on his regular bike which is why he got rid of the two of his bicycles. the trike is for him to enjoy.

I started dyeing my hair at 14 when it turned from blonde to boring. I stopped about 5 or 6 years and now am mostly grey. But I'm fine with that.

A trike is a good idea! I wouldn't mind having one of those for myself, actually! There is a guy that has a recumbent trike. He has a long loop driveway. One day on my work walk, I passed him doing loops in his driveway, out to the street, and back into the driveway's other entrance. I thought that was a great idea, actually.

I need to dye my hair again soon, too. It is starting to wash out and the gray in front is coming back. Last time, the box I picked said "lightest brown" but it was way too dark for what I wanted. Now, as the weather gets cooler and the days get darker, I like to have a lighter hair color. Being the procrastinating Donkey that I am, I'll probably have to think about this for 3 more weeks before taking any action.

same here, i constantly put off doing things like doing hair, nails...beauty routine things for the most part!

i love your hair, whenever you dye it...i'm trying to find some basics now that i can rely on to keep my hair looking "fresh" that aren't expensive. the one i have now was only like $5 on Amazon. I want to see if it's good enough to rely on whenever i want to dye my hair.

yes, i see some people on Trikes. it will be really healthy for him to use, good exercise can be done riding one!

I decided to do all laundry, (including bath mats which i almost never do, bed sheets also, guinea pig fleeces...it was surprisingly busy in the laundry room!...but now i'm happy bc it's done and i don't need to think about doing it on the weekend which lately involves an extremely busy laundry room!) almost DONE

Parents in late morning, early afternoon (around 2-3pm arrival there) - for a visit (i'm lonely), for a leisurely walk perhaps since the weather is improving, for dinner, maybe watch a movie (some kinda of legal movie my dad suggested bc he knew i was studying) with them after dinner...then home :)

Drive to former coworker tonight to get my disk which should be finished transferring :)

New Guy told me that he studied 8-10 hours a day for the Bar exam. He'd pack his meals and go to the library to study. He come home to shower and sleep.

You've spent a lot of time studying for paralegal. So I'm wondering, are you burnt out on studying? Or maybe just not that motivated on the subject matter?

this test is not for the proj man. PMP.

and i'm not burned out, but, i just don't want to study many hours at a time. I think it's because i have a notion that it's not fully for me? it'd be good to pass, but, i am not sure i could pull off the position at a job..although, i like being an ASSISTANT PM.

anyways, in the back of my head, i do still want to work for either NYC or NYS in the legal field, in the future.

as of now, just studying a little bit, seeing if i can do better on the app...

lately i'm a little pissed off at my former choices to drop teaching (REALLY NOT going back into that field now, still hard to get back in / my degrees also are prob not up to date with continuing educaiton and i don't think it'd be healthy for me to re-enter the field ever again).

but i'm still annoyed at myself for going as far as getting a masters degree never to use it again. Teachers make good money here. After 10-15 years, they make 100G. $100,000.- minimum! in most public schools in my area.

i just effed up, to put it mildly. but i do not need to make the money they do...i need to make enough to be happy in my own right. even having a job that mostly pays $50G could be enough for single me. I just need to get that, for LIFE. not for a few years, but continuing on with some kind of certainty so i don't need to be in this predicament AGAIN of no job / not strong enough skills.

i know it's no need to keep anger or bad feelings inside about myself, but it's really showing now how when you do not get into a career path, how your friends start to succeed more as my own path becomes more of a struggle.

not using my music certification is sickening to think about the waste of schooling / education ... i just never really understood what i was throwing away. but now, it's been far too long to go back. i have forgotten a lot and i admit it's not something i want to do.

and it's hard for me to see all the types of people around me with jobs and just wonder: "how are they all keeping their jobs....why can't i hold a job?"...but the skills part is the big issue. i just didn't take the right path for me. and i guess i didn't grow up fast enough to see how important study / work is when i was younger.

Would having the PMP certificate impair your ability to be an Assistant PM? Would having that certification make you overqualified, or a threat to some PM who is hiring for an Assistant?

IDK, it seemed from here that your heart was really into the paralegal stuff, so you got it done, but there's something holding you back for studying for the PMP test, and this could be completely on a subconscious level. Just make sure it's not fear that's holding you back.

I'm glad you vented about your frustration with choices you've made in the past. It's good to get that all out and said. Try not to carry that with you too much. I've had similar regrets in my life as well.

You may look back and wish you had taken other paths, but who knows how that would have ended up for you? You could have stayed in teaching and been a complete mental wreck, for example.

It *is* difficult to see your peers succeeding while you feel like you're flailing and floating around. I try not to focus on that too much. Facebook makes this so painfully obvious, though, seeing what people I went to school with are doing with their lives, and where I've failed miserably in mine.

Oh PS, I didn't mean to imply that I was comparing your situation to New Guy's studying for the Bar exam! I just threw that out there to show the extremes that some folks go. And his situation is not unique. I've had to take a state certification test for loan originator, and yes, I studied, but not like THAT.

Apparently, studying for big exams on a phone app is the thing to do. New Guy said that he did all of his prep for the bar exam through an app!

i think the slow pace of my life...sitting on the couch when i study...it's just making me sleepy (dull, slow pace of life right now).

i cannot believe he also used an app...seems this is the thing to do! i bet even High School and College kids are using it, for tests like the SAT and others! how interesting how fast life is changing. Scary to me, but it is what it is ;)

9:15am started the day with grapes that accidentally have seeds (i guess more fiber for me!) 200...oats 150, raisins 150, almond milk 50..550.

Noon light snack butter cookies & pb 200

4pm early dinner tofu 100, cooked veggies 100, chips 150, mixed drink 150..500

more of a drink 100, small bowl of corn & scallop chowder at 8pm to taste! 300...450 tops

6:45pm: Deciding to cook now, cook one of the meals from the meal service, instead of walking...which i can do later...it's corn and scallop chowder!

I set my clock, but totally slept in today.  especially after yesterday's great day and farm volunteering. Now I'm def up and ready to get this day on the go. So a quick shower as i never showered after the farm yesterday (bc i didn't get sweaty and showered just before) and i'm all kinds of itchy on my arms from the plants....so let me do that....

So, today, it's about studying / reading.  I've decided no exercise as it's late enough right now in the morning, 10am, so it's a shower and reading / studying for the morning...didn't do a ton of studying, but i am "starting..."

After lunch i May take a walk outside,HOUR WALK, nice, felt like a workouta short one, half hour, or just exercise indoors on my bike which seems more efficient to save time...

Then study / use phone app...

I can walk outside tonight if I want to. nothing too much. even a half hour should do it! 

Progress as of today: 2 lbs lost so far, only 1 lbs to go!
