Happy FOURTH OF JULY!!!!!!!!  WOOOHOOO!!!!  And to the Canadians on here, happy belated Canada Day!! ;)  For everyone else, HAPPY THURSDAY!

I was up pretty early for a day off, around 8am.  And i'm back on the couch, with the laptop, thinking of things to bake! one item on my mind is a low sugar honey cake (made with actually no honey but a maple syrup flavoring - HA-HA!)...but i don't want to make it too early as it has to be fresh for Monday so i have to think about if it's too early to make it today.

8:30am breakfast: oatmeal 150 with almond milk 20, stevia, and a whole milk strawberry on the bottom chobani yogurt 160 so good!, iced coffee 40. 370

10am snack  240 healthy natural bar fruit/nut

at bbq mostly very healthy, tons of veggies, some guac, half a turkey frank (not good), bbq chicken (very good!), some crackers, fruit...oh, forgot to calculate in the crackers!

Approx 2200 cal :-) happy !!

6day: 2075, good!

watching fireworks from my apt...i have a nice view and don't want to miss the fireworks, at home, tonight!

AFTER I did my upper body workout (i made sure to do it and finish it before getting the laptop which wasn't ready till halfway thru my workout anyways), I got my laptop back from the repair shop last night around 6pm i went there - and the new screen and laptop are working GREAT!!!! :) only $110 fix- omg thank gosh i didn't need a new laptop yet!!!!!! so happy!

Next, I went to drop off in the clothing bins 3 bags of old clothes for donation.

After that, i swung by the bigger supermarket to pick up veggies to cut up & bring to the 4th of July BBQ i'm going to this afternoon.  I also bought extra eggs and almond powder bc i am going to be baking this weekend :) as well as a couple whole milk strawberry at the bottom chobani yogurts (AMAZING TASTE!). there was also some new kombucha flavors / new brand! so i bought 3 of those LOL.

As for this long weekend, i've actually planned very little for it purposely. i will not be doing long walks or heavy exercise. No ladder at all. My left leg / ankle is still sore and week and i expect it to keep healing (it's starting to get better as i'm not pushing it / pushing exercises that bother it). I have a 5k walk scheduled for 2 1/2 weeks from now and it's a goal of mine to be ready for that :) and i will only walk that 5k, no jogging, so i should be OK by then and afterwards :)

Right, so for this weekend:

Thursday, today, I have a bbq for most of the day which i'm driving to with a friend starting at 1pm. I will just relax till then with some cooking. maybe vacuum the carpet rug i have too.

Tomorrow is also low key. I have plans to go to a concert, free, of a community band on Long Island in a really nice town and also to pick up dinner there. going with Ricky. I hope to do the driving to it. I think R is working Friday, we'll see.

Saturday is unplanned right now. There's a free concert at the beach we can go to and also possibly we will go to dinner & use a coupon for half off that i have for hibachi. maybe. and also if we don't go to the beach, i was considering just to watch a movie. after or before dinner. like i was saying, it's a really low key weekend. Saturday i'd do another upper body workout, no legs. thinking to bake the cake for work on Saturday.

Sunday is also not much planned.  I'll do laundry and prep for the week.  I am possibly looking to smoke hookah (really!) with my friend Jen who i haven't seen since January (the one who flew to miami to meet me down there during part of my trip there!)  We used to work in the same office, but now i'm in NYC. so we obviously don't see each other everyday anymore.

Progress as of today: -2.2 lbs lost so far, only 3.2 lbs to go!

Donkey on 07/04/2019:
So happy on your laptop situation! Yay!! And what a money-saving deal! And you saved yourself from throwing out a good laptop that may have a few more years on it (or longer!).

I love the intentional relaxation you have planned.

Horn_of_plenty on 07/05/2019:
i know it's back to the grind soon, so, for now, i'm def slowing down the pace of things and it feels good to do that.

On Amazon, I finally decided on a massager (based on product details and reviews and price) for feet and legs:

Good Morning :) !!! I think today is a short workday for us in my company.  Pretty sure we will be out by 1:30pm SO HAPPY! I can then pick up my laptop from the repair shop and also do SOME exercise, but i'm staying away from lower body as my ankle / left leg is still tight and sore and weak. GRRR! Obviously it's going to take awhile to heal and i'm going to have to lay off it for this long weekend...but  i know it will get better. def no ladder. and i stopped the one move which was torture - involving jumps.  I may cook tonight / bake tonight again.

Kombucha 60

Breakfast wrap and egg 200, everything seasoning, 1/2 avo 150, coffee 50. 400.

snack: will be a bar for a change of pace and they also expire soon. 220

lunch: more of my tasty cooked kale & green peppers 100, half that sausage100, maybe some chips150, one medium gummy candy 50. 400 i think i forgot a fruit which is fine, i'll have that at home! wanting to make a frozen yogurt, blueberry flavor tonight or tomorrow. must buy blueberries, they were on sale the other day!

1100 snacks of blueberries and iced coffee and peanut butter 400, chips 150

light dinner: tofu x2 150, chips 150, full fat strawberry yogurt 150.  450-500

2100 total :)

snacks before upper body / abs exercise: choc coated granola bar with iced coffee sounds about right. 200.

5day: 2070, good.

I'm going to a bbq for the 4th that starts around 2pm. will leave after eating "dinner" as i'd like to be home when it's fireworks time - because i just want to rest up. the woman i'm driving with also has double the distance ride as me, so she'll want to be home too, luckily, early.

i have wonderful views of fireworks all the way into NYC because i have a good view in the apt i live in. I'd like to be home early Thursday evening to enjoy that view :)

Progress as of today: -2.2 lbs lost so far, only 3.2 lbs to go!

BearCountryGG on 07/03/2019:
That view from your apartment must be amazing.......we justn hear gun shots here...LOL

Horn_Of_Plenty on 07/03/2019:
yes, i see MULTIPLE shows from all the nearby places where they are set up! like, so many! i have a very wide panoramic view of a lot of my city!

legcramps on 07/03/2019:
That is so cool, you get to watch fireworks from your apartment! I bet that view you have is pretty awesome :)

I don't recall if I read how you injured your ankle/leg?...

Enjoy your 4th of July tomorrow!

Horn_Of_Plenty on 07/03/2019:
thanks Legs, it's just overuse.

i broke my ankle in college and it's never been the same since. didn't really do the recommneded PT for the recomended time either when i had broken it. wasn't even 21 then.

so, whenever i overuse or pound on it too much, it bothers me which is also bothering me in the back of my shin, at the ankle ligaments insertion point if you follow what i'm saying. i have been rolling it, but it's still painful. it should go away if i use it less...hoping for all of the pain to be gone 100% in two weeks from now, around July 21, when i'm signed up for another 5k - but i plan to walk the whole thing this time.

Horn_Of_Plenty on 07/03/2019:
i should probably be buying the king leg massager, even for one leg/foot, as i'd take all help at this point..but really it's rest and recovery i need.

Horn_Of_Plenty on 07/03/2019:
and yes, i see tons of fireworks :)

BearCountryGG on 07/03/2019:
Would support hose help??? I know they aren't pretty....but they may just give you the support that your ankle needs when worn at home...or under long pants. Possibly even an ace bandage wrap when convenient.

Horn_Of_Plenty on 07/03/2019:
these are good ideas. i used to wear a bandage every day, for a couple YEARS. i feel i want to use my own muscles for stabilization. maybe on my exercise days, using the ladder, i should go back to wearing the support bandage. that is a good suggestion to use when using my ankle more for stabilization.

BearCountryGG on 07/03/2019:
Oh definately you would not want to get dependant on those...they would allow muscles to become weak and dependent on them....but just for support while exercising would probably be good.

Horn_Of_Plenty on 07/03/2019:
yes, i am thinking this is def the way i should go with it.

legcramps on 07/03/2019:
That leg massager looks neat. I definitely recommend these air massagers...one of the best things i've invested in for sure!

Horn_of_plenty on 07/03/2019:
yes, it's going to help me i am sure. i liked all the foot elements to it - i realize i'll need to "sit up" to use it and not lie back on the couch!

Donkey on 07/04/2019:
That massage machine -- if you get it, please post a review here. I'm very interested - not only for myself but also for my husband who does have some edema in his left leg/ankle area.

Horn_of_plenty on 07/05/2019:
i'll let you know, i think it is arriving today!

Chips 4am these popped seed chip things 150 Woke up unable to sleep, so had a small snack and vitamin water zero

6am kombucha 60

breakfast: wrap and egg 200, 1/4 very fresh avocado 100, everything bagel seasoning, coffee 50. 350

snacks thinking banana and almonds 200...since my body is sore i may throw in a couple bananas today, sf chocolate 60

810, healthy....

lunch: same as yesterday - really nicely cooked veggies 100 with just over HALF! a small cured sausage 100, 1/4 fresh avocado 100, and a large apple 150? maybe some of the popped chips above since the bag is small i might finish them.  total here: 450

snacks: almonds 100

dinner: TBD - HOMEMADE chocolate mug cake! 600 with toppings

Today is usually an exercise day but i am going to skip it tonight to sleep more / rest more. Actually, i might change my mind, we'll see. but either way I'm really thankful for the long weekend that's coming. I could def use some extra rest.

another reason i'm not keen on exercise is i can rest my sore ankle / lower leg but also i can limit calories by just going home and sleeping early. that's probably the plan tonight :)...just a little more rest would be healthy for me - more than exercise is at this time and this week. gotta knock the soreness out of my body.

My coworker (who is on vaca till next week but comes home tomorrow and she supposedly wants to do work at home over this long weekend) has asked me to bring home some paperwork which is going to make my bag heavier - which i really don't want but have no choice and it's really not a big deal, just coincides with ankle pain which has improved as the day has progressed! Therefore, it's best after bringing home her paperwork to relax and sleep early!

Progress as of today: -2.2 lbs lost so far, only 3.2 lbs to go!

Donkey on 07/02/2019:
Leave the exercise option open and do a self-check when you get home. If you do get started, you'll know right away if you're meant to keep going or if you're meant to rest.

Horn_Of_Plenty on 07/02/2019:
that's good advice, thank you - i can always decide later and not stress right now is right!

Horn_Of_Plenty on 07/02/2019:
pretty much i've decided i'll take it easy tonight :) just foam roll / self massage and get to bed early. :)

legcramps on 07/02/2019:
My body is pretty sore today too, and I think it's really important to listen when our bodies are trying to tell us something. Time to recover!

Horn_Of_Plenty on 07/02/2019:
if anything, i'll do upper body work and skip the legs portion...but yes, i've been needed to rest since last week.

BearCountryGG on 07/02/2019:
Bummer...and just when you thought you left homework behind when you graduated.....did she go on vacation and want you to spend your day off doing her work???

horn_of_plenty on 07/02/2019:
I just have to carry a lot of heavy papers home for her to give her sometime over the weekend she has to get them from me ;) they are just heavy lol but she gets to pick them up from me and do allll the work ;)

3:15pm snack: chocolate 60, coffee with very little almond milk, later almonds 100

Dinner: TBD - i have food at home so no matter what i have, i do not have to spend any money on food this short work week.dinner was more like dessert - it was a protein muffin in a HORRIBLE flavor and the yogurt wasn't good either. strawberries were OK. and one of my protein cookie dough balls from the freezer. dinner was filling but blande.

2050 cal.

2050 3 day avg too.

Tonight i'm planning on going home early and no extra exercise after work as my ankle and left leg have been tight since last week due to overuse. it seems to already be healing and feeling better and the pain is not too much.  I just have to watch it.

Progress as of today: -2.2 lbs lost so far, only 3.2 lbs to go!

Donkey on 07/02/2019:
Good calories (although that's too bad about dinner), good calories average, and good to get some rest.

Horn_Of_Plenty on 07/02/2019:
yes, these past two weeks my calorie averages are a little bit better. i can tell the difference as i start to feel more comfortable in my clothes after a few weeks of 2050 cals. i have yet to get a whole week at that, but, knowing what you are eating - my ability to track - helps me GREATLY.

i might be replacing my laptop soon - the screen doesn’t light up - yesterday was good but today it didn’t light up. It was an HP and 4.5 years old. My previous Toshiba lasted 3 years. Both were cheap models so I guess I got what I paid for. Instead of paying in pull for my next device, I may choose to finance it in some way or just use my credit card and pay it off little by  little ...

Progress as of today: -2.2 lbs lost so far, only 3.2 lbs to go!

Donkey on 06/30/2019:
I had an Acer and it lasted about 5 years as well. I think you actually got a great deal. Sad to say but these things aren't really meant to last that long. Technology upgrades so quickly that it's hard to keep up.

horn_of_plenty on 06/30/2019:
I prob could have saved my laptop before this one bc I realize I think it was probably the screen for that one too :( wish I realized it then !

Glad I didn’t have to spend big bucks and only $110 for screen - it’s still at the shop till Wednesday when the screen comes in

BearCountryGG on 06/30/2019:
I'm using an acer right now too...I've had others ( toshiba, HP, Gateway...etc..) and they all last about that long too.....I usually baby them along for swhile if I can...and then finally get disgusted and buy a new one.....

horn_of_plenty on 06/30/2019:
For me it seems the screens all die! I learned it’s easy to replace them :) and cheaper than getting a new one ! Wish I knew that with my previous laptop before I bought this HP !

Good Morning,Happy Saturday off work for i think everyone here...except Legs who is doing some gym training for some folks - but that's active work and healthy and fun for her :) I'm proud of you, Legs.  You continue to inspire me to schedule in more fitness and plan better to achieve bigger fitness goals. :)

9am breakfast: oatmeal 150 with a little saffron just in one spot to soak it in and quickly eat that bite!, stevia / cinnamon with almond milk 20, yogurt 80, iced coffee 40. total  300

11-12pm snacks: blackberries 100, couple candies 50

then went to get my hair colored dark and cut - i'll be dying my hair at home for now on to save my $ and time :)

3pm late lunch, healhy: small piece of turkey 100, the rest of yesterday's mashed cauliflower (seems very heavy due to lots of either cheese / cream added but also very filling and tasty!) 300, salad and leftover grilled veggies 100. everything so tasty & filling. 500. Cake low sugar thing very good 100

wine 150

mcdonalds 750

2000 total :)

I'm basically dying my hair back to brown today. maybe very subtle highlights almost like the brown it is because i've decided to save both  my TIME and my MONEY and dye my hair at home going forward, except maybe once in a while getting SUBTLE brown highlights on my dark brown hair. I prefer to not have this expense on both my weekend TIME and my budget anymore :) and also, when fitting in fitness, sitting going over to the next town with lots of traffic and parking problems and then getting my hair done as a weekend activity doesn't really coincide with fitness plans very well. so, it's off my list of activities for this year. if i am keen on court officer stuff, and my schedule is "busy," there's no need to be scheduling in more hair appts. I'm simply going back to basics.  this prob also has to do with the dermatologist visit and in my head i'm just trying to get to my goals, and stop getting distracted by anything / everything. highlighting the hair is an example of something that is "fun and playful and games," and it's just wasting my precious time, money, energy. i'll still have to touch up the few grays at home, but with store-bought dye. and that'll be just fine!

so,today i'm cooking. probably ladder in a bit after i set up the veggies in the slow cooker - doing hair.

later, Ricky and I are going to another FREE, community event. this one is awesome ! It's a walking tour of Downtown Flushing Chinatown neighborhood.!!! it's actually where i'm going for my hair at 1pm! so, i'm going there twice today. it's very local - like a neighborhood away. and i am super happy about a walking tour - HELLO FITNESS! :) and it's free. 6pm is when it starts.

Progress as of today: -2.2 lbs lost so far, only 3.2 lbs to go!

Donkey on 06/29/2019:
Count me in as one of those DD'ers really happy not to be at work today! Your plans for today sound like a really nice day to spend a Saturday.

I enjoyed reading about your thoughts on your hair. That must sound weird, right? But I like the "back to basics" and the desire to become more focused on what you want for yourself, and not to be distracted by the stuff that's not helping you in the direction you want to go at this time.

(That's not a diss against anyone who has their hair done or nails or anything like that. Those things can be self-nurturing, fun, relaxing, uplifting -- to try and do, too. I hope anyone that reads this can see what I'm trying to say.)

horn_of_plenty on 06/30/2019:
I can’t believe that I stopped the highlights as soon as I did - just like a year of highlights after other coloring attempts the year before! But it’s such a waste of my time and money. Plus this stylist doesn’t cut short hair very well so I’m really glad to be done with him! Plus he always changed the price on me and this time he actually lowered it at last minute but such stupidity! Glad to not be going there ever again :)

happy-1 on 06/29/2019:
I like the new cool tones from Loreal Excellence. Trying this one next week... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0185LCA0I/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

11:30pm .later i had a snack 200 right before bed.950 i think, tops. good. maybe less.

2150, tops. :) did fine.

weekly average:2120, good.

exercise - a little walking at beach, some shuffleboard playing. and my strength workout earlier in the day from aroudn 1pm-4pm on and off.

I have my errands to do today - but first enjoying breakfast & the couch....

& a shower followed by getting all my laundry washed while i do my strength workout..doing things at home now...cleaning closets a little bit.

I'm definitely taking this day at my own pace & looking very forward to the beach and a concert tonight. Weather has been fabulous this week.

This is a little "heavy" but at the dermatologist what i thought was one thing was another and it was a slight punch in my gut as it was unexpected and very unexpected after this busy week my head wasn't ready to hear it..i thought i would go into this weekend relaxed after that appt but it left me realizing health is important and to always air on the side of caution. i can't discuss this further, i'm fine, but it's realization that the older you get,the more experiences you have, the more you are at risk for. so be careful. are on the side of caution. and keep positive, keep on with my journey, and i shall keep on with my positive goals and challenges this year as fun and games don't lead to anything positiveat all and sometimes come back to haunt you. i shall be fine. but it's one more thing i wish has never happened - but i'll keep going thru life because you cannot change the past but only look forward. i am fine, i'll be fine.  All the choices we make have consequences.  and somtimes you don't know of that consequence till many years later.  I have only shared this important stuff with one person, R, and decided i will not talk about it to anyone else.  it's not the worst thing in the world, but would have been better if avoided. now gotta live with it.

Horn_of_plenty on 06/28/2019:
thank you so much, xo. :-D i'm thankful for all of you guys here. :)

Donkey on 06/28/2019:
Let me tell ya a story: Back when I was 7 or 8 years old, I kissed another little boy. And now.. for the rest of my life, I get cold sores. We all know what cold sores are. This only happens when my immune system is lowered, which is usually during the winter and right before TOM comes (that is to say, TOM in the winter months). While cold sores can be very clustered, I guess I'm fortunate that I usually only get one large sore, but it's quite noticeable when it's there.

There is stuff called Abreva, but that is like $30 for this teeny tiny little tube. I can't afford that! Sometimes I can ward them off - i.e. lessen them - if I start loading up on zinc. If I feel a tingle on my lip, if I use Carmex, that sometimes helps.

But this isn't something that goes away, and it's annoying and painful and embarrassing. I'll forget the day that Queen Bee announced it to the whole office that I had a cold sore. And all because of something very foolish that I did when I was 7 years old and couldn't possibly know any better.

So there you go. Whatever it is that you're dealing with, I'm glad you saw a doctor about it. Do what you have to do to manage it. Don't let it define you. And whatever it is, you're not alone.

Horn_of_plenty on 06/28/2019:
yep, similar situation here but a tad more upsetting. very similar. it's good that there's a vaccine out now to prevent a lot of this. I was too old for that vaccine when it came out.

there's a high percentage of people that get all these different viruses and it's too bad we have to deal with them for life. that's the really bad part.

i appreciate your thoughtful response and suggestions.

Donkey on 06/28/2019:
^^^One more thing, my story also points out that if there are things that you can do to take care of yourself to lessen your burden -- like with me, I take zinc, I use topical Carmex, do what I can to keep my immune system healthy and strong -- do it! :)

6 day:2116,very good. going strong :)

I admit that the extra OT and not sleeping as much has def left me quite anxious and tired. I am so ready to sleep in tomorrow. No extra exercise will be done today besides walking at lunch. I have a breakout on my face i think because of this. it's ok, i know i did the OT and i'm happy now. :) And i know the weekend will be good, too. I have yet to finalize any plans on weekend, probably bc in my head i know i want to sleep in quite a bit :)

I have a lot of plans on my agenda for tomorrow, my day off, but i realize that it's not really a rush to finish them all and if i don't i'll just do them later in the weekend.

Plans for tomorrow include:

1- Whenever i wake up (i am looking to sleep in a bit after not sleeping that great this week, i just want to sleep extra tomorrow as much as i want to!), after breakfast: Strength workout first- definite

2- Oil Change - possibility - better to do Friday (less of a wait / less customers) than Saturday

3- kombcha nah, can wait till next weekend, when i eat some of these veggies in my fridge.

4- Add money to laundry card at housing office

5- If time permits after everything listed above: Ladder Workout outside - there's an i want to do this Saturday, i can wait...i think i'll sleep in Friday enough to not have time for more exercise. maybe i'll cook in the afternoon, if time permits! i'd like to make some keto stuff and/or cook up my new food order that ships today from Misfits!

6- around 5/6pm go out to Rolling Stones tribute band concert (free) at beach with Ricky - :) - and dinner there / shuffleboard game if we want to

There were LONG train delays this AM. i left my own apt 5 min late, but was delayed by 35 min (of which luckily i was already on the train just sitting there in AC) in getting to work! but i will NOT be making up ANY time :) i'm so over that!  I have worked 8hrs OT which i completed last night and that's that! train delays ...are train delays :) LOL.

Progress as of today: -2.2 lbs lost so far, only 3.2 lbs to go!

happy-1 on 06/27/2019:
Augh train delays... I feel you.

Horn_Of_Plenty on 06/27/2019:
out of nowhere! everything's been so great...and then BOOM!

happy-1 on 06/27/2019:
Just bought Rules for a Knight on Audible ;-)

Horn_Of_Plenty on 06/27/2019:
It's very good. I am still in the process of reading it. I have to reread many paragraphs to get a better meaning from them. this book seriously makes you THINK!

also, this book is a GREAT reminder to be HUMBLE and thankful and remember that in order to get things, i must work for them. good things comes to those who work for it. :)

Let me know what you think of this book. i have enjoyed it so much. it's short, but, a thoughtful read so it's taking me a little longer than usual to finish it since it's relatively a short book.

Maria7 on 06/27/2019:
Hope you get caught up on your rest.

Horn_of_plenty on 06/27/2019:
thank you, it's about the one thing i am most looking forward to at this moment tonight.

2300. total. decent. did the hour walk home.

2140 5 day

I should be home around 9pm-10pm.  I may walk some of the way, to get in some exercise tonight after work.

I woke up before my alarm clock today and decided to get out of bed and go to work as early as i could without rushing. i arrived 1hr 15min early. today i'm going to make up the rest of my 3 hours of OT and also make up the hour of work for tomorrow when i need to leave early for the dr. that's 4 hrs OT today, working from 7:15am-7:45pm.  getting it done, so it's OFF my mind :)  I really didn't expect to come early today, only doing it because i woke up before my alarm and decided to just go to work early.

I was also in bed a tad late last night as i did my workout after the union meeting, ending the workout a little bit after 10pm. not too terrible and sleep is stil decent . Tonight I will sleep well, I am quite sure...

It will be a long day today, BUT, work is rather easy right now - the pace is very, very slow for me and i'm working totally at my own pace - there really isn't a rush. yes, there's deadlines, but really, it doesn't matter if i get these things in tomorrow or by next Wednesday. So, looking on the bright side to get thru this short but long week! all is seriously good!

also, i'm still not done with some other adjustments i'd like to make to my resume...so i will do that tonight.

i have so many things on my mind to do as of late. Another thing i'm adding to my mental list is to make a somewhat sugar free/keto (Lekach) HONEY CAKE! it's a jewish type of recipe that someone at work wanted me to make MONTHS ago. i never got around to it because the internet doesn't have a good keto version, so i have to do the math to convert measurements and alternatives into my own keto version.

last time i did that, to try to make a honey cake before, it didn't come out well. i guess this is why i haven't done it again since. it involves a bit of math and calculations and quite a few ingredients. i think i'll be baking it on the 4th of July weekend, quite possibly, or sooner!

I really want to clean up my closets again this weekend or soon. they are jam-packed with clothes so everything that's hanging gets fully wrinkled even though they are hanging up and are supposed to come out of the closet looking fresh! i want to get rid of a LOT of my clothes soon, so that i can take things out of the closet, and have them look fresh and smooth, not a mess and wrinkled. after all, we never wear like even 50% of the clothes in our closets - OR IS THIS JUST ME!?  I have so much to give away. older clothes i haven't worn in a few years. shirts that just don't fit right...time to clean up again. dresses that are not flattering...list goes on and on. cardigans that are an ugly color that i don't even like to look at let alone wear...pants that don't fit...

....some pants i like to save especially dress pants bc it's expensive to buy new. but, for shirts & dresses, i plan to get rid of a LOT.

also, i want to clean my socks drawers. they are overflowing, but some of the socks don't have any elasticity anymore and are quite annoying to wear. and i have bought new to replace them with.

i cannot wait to declutter. I may do a little bit of decluttering on Friday when i'm home from work.

Progress as of today: -2.2 lbs lost so far, only 3.2 lbs to go!

legcramps on 06/26/2019:
Wow! You really did wake up before your alarm clock today :)

Glad to see that everything is going well and YAY today is your Thursday! Gotta love a short work week LOL!

Horn_Of_Plenty on 06/26/2019:
I am so so so glad to get this OT done for a LONG time after today. It's good to knock it out, go into the weekend, enjoy and REST...and know that next week will NOT be like this- and neither will summer be like this :)

As you can see, my mind wants the OT done too!

Yay for a short week.

Like you, i'm looking to get in some good fitness on the days off!

Donkey on 06/27/2019:
Friday off = JEALOUS

Yes, purge your closet. You will love it!

Horn_Of_Plenty on 06/27/2019:
i cannot wait to do this....i need to at least go through it and sort the winter stuff to back and all summer stuff in front. i have so many clothes and don't wear like any of them! yes, i'm totally going to purge on the weekend :) cheers!

Horn_Of_Plenty on 06/27/2019:
i am sure one of these days you'll get your own friday off xo

happy-1 on 06/27/2019:
Yum, honey cake. Also love halva.

Horn_Of_Plenty on 06/27/2019:
omg HALVA...killer good. so dense.

i hope this honey cake turns out ok. the last one was like an egg souflee which is def not how a honey cake should look or taste! i need to bring it to work for my coworkers (only if it comes out right!)

2100 4day -

rainy day, there was a bus delay due to traffic and then the trains were packed. got to work 15 min late, but, nobody really knows and i have to leave on time (actually 10min or so early) to get to a union meeting after work back in my home neighborhood at 6, so i'll be leaving 10 to 5 for that.

I do still plan to take a lunch, hopefully it's not raining, to return a piece of clothing i bought the other day. it's linen pants - and it'll always need ironing - so i'm returning them before i even remove the tag. They were from H&M - they fit really well, but, the material is a waste to buy since i'm not big on ironing!

After the meeting this evening, i'm sticking with my goals, skipping voting for the primaries (priorities point towards not having three obligations tonight all taking up time), and going to work out at home. i should get home between 7-7:30 and should be able to get a workout in and completed, if i don't get derailed by other things, by 9:30pm which is decent of course and not the latest hour in the world :)

Progress as of today: -2.2 lbs lost so far, only 3.2 lbs to go!

Donkey on 06/25/2019:
I too had interrupted sleep last night. Not pleasant and thus had problems getting up today.

Well, you should sleep better tonight, hopefully!

Horn_Of_Plenty on 06/25/2019:
i hope to keep getting at least a minimum sleep - and plan to enjoy some sleeping in on Fri, Sat, and Sun :)

legcramps on 06/25/2019:
I hate ironing too! I try very hard not to buy any clothes that need to be ironed :)

Horn_Of_Plenty on 06/25/2019:
same - they had really nice wide leg no need to iron pants on sale, so i returned the linen, got two pairs of pants in its place and a dollar back! :)

happy-1 on 06/25/2019:
I want linen wide leg pants too but I hear you on the ironing.

Horn_Of_Plenty on 06/25/2019:
yeah, i do not like extra chores!

BearCountryGG on 06/25/2019:
No ironing for me either....I let the dryer do that!!!

Horn_of_plenty on 06/25/2019:
same!!! i try to hang my shirts as soon as i take them out of the dryer! :)

now, i just need to clean all my closets again & throw out a LOT of things so my shirts can hang and not get wrinkled bc the space is so tight! right now, everything in my closets is jam packed and creating a huge mess! not sure when, but, i'm eager to see what i have!
