(counting calories/walking/elliptical/weights)
Weight: 113.0

I woke up before my alarm but got a really great amount of sleep from prob 9pm until 7:30am today :) Needed that!..Hoping this will be how the weekend is for me! The LONG weekend, as I'm off for President's Day on Monday woohoo!

Kombucha 50

Breakfast: english muffin whole wheat 150, 1/4 avocado 70, egg 80, smoked sea salt and pepper, iced coffee 50. 350 and VERY tasty.

bsr and drink 200

1pm Boston market bowl: bacon Brussels & chicken so tasty chicken 150? and lots of tasty brussel sprouts with bacon 250? 400.

3pm snack: blueberries 100

Almost 4pm Lily’s choc stevia sweetened chocolate chips and iced coffee 250

1250 wish I took a nap but no time for it, had some coffee instead, soon leaving to go to friends house for party...would rather sleep now lol. I got good exercise in morning and had a successful Saturday!!

Overall a good eating day, not more than 2200, great choices at the party and some dessert. glad i brought my veggies! otherwise, it wouldn't have been good.

eats at the party: half a large pita 200, meat 50 (not much), fried falafels 200?, veggies galore 100, pretzels 50, fruit 50, half brownie 100, shortbread cookie 150, alcohol 100. total approx: 900 or so.

Today I am going to the bank, leaving here around 9:20am to get there by 10am to get a better deal on my matured CD. I really wanted to transfer the CD from Sterling to Citibank with my other accounts, but, the percentage is actually higher at Sterling. Plus, I made an appointment so if i do not have to wait long, I'll just simply renew the account at the higher percentage there and not move the CD from one bank to another yet :).

Sterling bank is official awful though! Besides a good rate, they have closed the branch right within my neighborhood. And the next closest branch is CLOSED on BOTH Saturday and Sunday!  So, instead of driving, I will take public transporation today to the NEXT closest bank after the one that is closed Saturdays. It's located close to the subway and i'd rather not deal with parking :) Then, i have an appointment for dr at 11:30am that will be fast at the location where i also wanted to go to the Sterling bank today which is closed today...so i will take the train heading right back to my appt which is also right by the subway! then, i'll head back home.

After the dr at around 12pm, I'll take the check i get from Sterling to Citibank which is located a couple blocks from the Dr, at put the money in a new CD at Citibank. YES.

Really, i had wanted to take the money from Sterling to Citibank, which is located right by the doctor. ....I may just do this, as Sterling is a pain in the neck and the Citibank rate is slightly lower, but similar. I think Sterling is a pain, so i will try to still pull my money out.  citibank is convenient and located everywhere, so, might as well move my money today while time is on my side (while i have time to run these types of errands). who knows when all of Sterling will be defunct!

The reason i decided on public trans today for the bank and errand is because everything is located straight up from the subway, so it's rather simple and i get some walking in between these activities.

I'll be heading back to my apt by around 2pm quickly pick up some veggies (and peanut butter powder or dry pb to make the reese's keto cups!) from the supermarket after getting these errands done, as i'm bringing veggies to the party tonight. then, resting home for the rest of today before heading out around 4:00 :)

I wasn't in mood to sit around the entire long weekend, as you can see! So i was proactive in making plans.

Tomorrow's a gym day / laundry day / clean hamster cage type of day. I was possibly going to train my coworker at the gym, but she didn't contact me about it. with my weekend booked up, i can wait to train her another time !

Monday I have really great lunch plans, located a bit farther away in Englewood, NJ, with somewhat distant but loving family of 1 or 2 older women and my older male cousin. We see each other only relatively small amount of time each year, so i'm glad i made the plans as a welcome change for the long weekend with these very pleasant folks!!!!! <3 and family they are!  (they are cousins and Aunt but not first cousins or direct aunt, it's down the line if that makes sense).

And the reese's, i may wait until later on Monday to make those! :)

Tonight i'm going to see a friend's new apt before we go together (since it's a rather long drive) to another friend's house bc we are celebrating her hubby's birthday :)

Progress as of today: 1 lbs lost so far, only 1 lbs to go!

Donkey on 02/16/2019:
Sounds like a really nice day ahead of you! Isn't it a good feeling to get financial things cleaned up a little? I hope you were able to accomplish that. (I tend to be skeptical when it comes to ALL things lender-bank related - I'm so jaded from my job, LOL...)

I have to thank you for the comment you made on my entry the other night - how we would BOTH be working out that night. Wow, that REALLY helped me SO much - to know that someone else was working out too. It helped me get started and see the workout through, because I knew you were doing it too.

Horn_of_plenty on 02/16/2019:
I def made the right choice to get my money all in one place :) and it pushed me to into a new category at Citibank where i'll always get free checks and more priority service :)

i'm glad my comment helped you...it's def helpful when we realize that there's a lot of people in our boat, doing things to better ourselves! and that we choose to spend some time on it so we can feel better about ourselves emotionally, physically, mentally! it's worth it!!!!

Weight: 113.0

 Home: kombucha 50

Breakfast: wrap 120, egg 80, half avocado 150, 2 chocolates 100 at most, starbucks nitro brew for my expensive taste (wow the caffeine is sky-high in it! as i am drinking it!) 50; 6 fruit mentos aroud 10am. 60.

10:30am snacks:almond 100

12:30 Lunch: from home: microvable frozen 3 Italian cheese cauliflower cooked the cauliflower and it didn't go with the chinese, additionally i forgot my tubberware, just threw the cheesy cauliflower out unfortunately... frozen tasty Chinese fish 200 and veggie leftovers (tasty) 150. i also brought some of a bagel 200 for carbs...will walk after lunch to buy powdered peanut flour / butter for a keto pb cup recipe i'm making this weekend! 550.

3:00-3:30pm apple 50 followed later by real white chocolate coated reese's i found on sale at rite aid during lunch. 200.

Snacks: almonds before walk home :) 50

Dinner: tasty wrap 120, with half avocado 150, spread 100, egg 100. so far: 450, still hungry though maybe some yogurt / blueberries! 250

2250, good.

7day avg: 2200 - prob a hair over my maintenance numbers, yes, but at least eating was done in moderation overall :)

thinking for it to be a veggie type of meal, not sure...this week i didn't eat as healthy as i usually do, skipping almonds and eating the atkins pb cups instead which really weren't as good as i remembered them being the last time i bought them!

After work plan: walk to nearby New York City (Manhattan) Library to read there until library closes, then take subway home & also do the 3mi walk....then early to bed.

Tomorrow i have good errands to take money from one CD account in one bank (Sterling which i haven't enjoyed banking with due to few locations and long wait times to get anything done) and transfer the money to my regular bank for everything (citibank) which i LOVE. Banks are open tomorrow and I have to get this done tomorrow. I have only a window of one week to get the funds outta one bank and into the other before the CD renews, so, tomorrow will be the DAY!

Then tomorrow, I'm driving to a friend's place in the afternoon to see his new Co-op. just a friend, for sure on this one. then me and him are going to a bday party that is around 45 minutes away. I'm glad to drive with him, than do the 45 minute drive there and back alone!

Sunday plans are TBD. I plan on a big workout and possibly making Keto Resse's cups.

Monday I'm off for President's Day. I will be picking up my older 2nd cousin or so and take him and possibly his sister to visit their Aunt (like my 2nd Great Aunt or something) in NJ for lunch! haven't seen them since late spring / summer so should be nice and do an nice change of pace drive to NJ when it's not very crowded on the roads :)

I won't lie, it's a little of a mood downer that J isn't able to do the lunch date today (but he's really not to blame as the plans were made quite quickly and spontaneously yesterday on my end, and only after knowing he'd wished me a Happy V-day lol...). so, he's busy.

He (Jason) is one of those "actually busy," busy guys. I'm not sure it could work at all. We are DEF at diff points in our lives. Supriringly, although he's only 46, he actually (in his face only) looks OLDER. he's been working a LOT, had a "heartbreak" it seems from his first marriage.

Jason is a good dad to his kids and works a full time job as an electrical company project manger and also does work part time as a lawyer (that's his degree) on the side.  It should be good for me to find a man busier than me (opposite of Ricky who needed me to "be complete"), but, because i can still do all my goals and more. So, although it's a downer, it really is a blessing in disguise. Patience will be a virtue in dealing with this new guy Jason.

this is a good thing, i just need to remain patient.

he had canelled early into my workout, so then i proceeded to somehow take even longer getting the workout done, and going to bed even later, around Midnight. ...

Tonight i'll make up some sleep, i can tell my negative mood is mostly due to being tired.

Any advice on the site, i'd appreciate.

Progress as of today: 1 lbs lost so far, only 1 lbs to go!

legcramps on 02/15/2019:
It's a bit different to date when you are older, later in life. People have their own routines, their own independence. Having to learn to live on your own, it can change people - in the best ways! Jason is likely still feeling his way through this new relationship with you, as you are with him, and it will take some compromise and patience to get through this first part while you are still getting to know each other. He had a life that you weren't part of, for a long time, and that part needs to be adjusted - and it will take time.

In my relationship with an older guy that has four kids and has lived an entire life separate from mine, I still have to keep reminding myself that we don't know all the ins and outs of each other, like we would if we were high school sweethearts or simply had known each other a little earlier in life. My frame of mind - the place i'm at in life - is much different than his. I'm actually much more selfish and unwilling to compromise and I like to get my way - I think it's because I haven't had kids, and I haven't had to compromise with other people for a long time LOL.

Navigating through a new relationship is not supposed to be easy! But, it SHOULD be fun, so make sure to enjoy being with this guy when you ARE together, and let the rest go for now.

horn_of_plenty on 02/15/2019:
great advice and it's well received. i do not really know him well at all...it wasn't "LOVE" at first sight on my end...but i don't want to run from him either before checking it out, plus, i am suddenly attracted to him more than i was...this whole week that way feeling that way...

Donkey on 02/15/2019:
I can't wait to hear about your keto PB cups! Hope they turn out!

Oh how nice it would be to go to the library on a Friday night. I remember as a kid, going to the library with my Grandpa on Friday nights and how wonderful that was.

Now my library closes at 5pm on Fridays :(

horn_of_plenty on 02/15/2019:
library there is open till 6pm and i get out at 5pm, with a 20 minute walk to the library, would be nice to read over there for a little bit tonight, but, will probably skip it as i'm getting tired and i can just read on the commute instead...and then do the hour walk home...that should be enough.

i think the library would be good if we GOT OUT EARLY on occasion when we do.

Donkey on 02/15/2019:
Regarding advice: stay busy, do your own thing. It's OK to be disappointed but not to the degree where "I was counting on this and now you canceled!" Keep it light and easy and happy.

horn_of_plenty on 02/15/2019:
i completely need all the advice you can give and yes this isn't the scenario where i can go and get angry that mr. busy has WORK to do and not wanna play games all day ;) yes, agree fully there.

also read my comment back to Legs, above, as it's meant for you also.

my workout somehow still took forever (took a few phone callls from family / friend), but i'm glad i got it done right :)

Leaving at 4pm wooohooo!  (instead of 5pm)  and HOME WORKOUT TONIGHT :)

And the guy i am seeing wished me a Happy Valentine's Day :) so i'm happy.

guy cancelled on date for friday bc he has a conference all at 1pm...work does come first...no worries.

i'LL be meeting him for lunch tomorrow since my coworkers will ALL be out except for a few and the guy cannot meet after work as he's driving to New Jersey after work to see his son's swim meet...so instead of waiting a week, i decided to ask him about lunch tomorrow, date #4.

Progress as of today: 1 lbs lost so far, only 1 lbs to go!

Donkey on 02/14/2019:
That was very thoughtful of your guy to wish you a happy Valentine's Day :)

Oh how I wish I could leave early... every day.

horn_of_plenty on 02/14/2019:
yes, the thought counts so much :)

yes, it should be a shorter workday so we could exercise and get sleep and prep food, etc. and RELAX.

legcramps on 02/14/2019:
Nice, leaving early feels awesome - enjoy your day! And your workout!

horn_of_plenty on 02/14/2019:
i cannot wait to leave work! for some reason, i've been incredibly tired all week!

Donkey on 02/14/2019:
The Adkins cups have malitol in them, which is why you're gettin' the gas. They are yummy but can cause digestive problems -- especially if you eat additional fiber-y food, too.

Another lunch date tomorrow - fun!

Horn_of_plenty on 02/14/2019:
Yes, I've decided those atkins cups are really worse than i ever remembered them and not very good for work, at all...

What i really should do is find the time, maybe Monday later afternoon, and make my own! :-)

i have to say, for all the nice packaging and everything, it's sad that Atkins hasn't sprung into the Stevia appeal...still all their products are full of gas causing ingredients :(

i don't get the problem as much with the coconut bars, never having more than one.

but these pb cups, i can't handle them.

Horn_of_plenty on 02/14/2019:
I finished the small box of those cups, can't bring to work again!

kombucha 50, stomach still has some issues as of late, just more gas and stuff.

breakfast: banana to the rescue 120, wrap 120, egg 80, Avocado 150., milk & Matcha 50. total here: 520.

Snack: rest of the wrap above. and two chocolates atkins pb cups 160

Lunch: corned beef 200, roasted yellow peppers with garlic and oil 200, chips 150. 550.  stomach still very uncomfortable with gas and bloating and needed to use the bathroom after lunch. :(

4:30pm snacks knowing i'm staying at work until 6pm:  2 more of the Atkins Peanut butter cups (but they aren't really helping my gas situation lol) as they have lots of fiber..and these two tiny apples. total around 250, but not higher :)

excellent...I'll be home around 7:30pm tonight in time to sleep well :)

8pm dinner: cup and a half of ice cream 300 , whole fat yogurt a cup with cooked cranberries 250. 550.

2100, decent.

5day: 2180 per day. good.

Because i am still low energy and can tell my cold may come back, tonight i'll be going to bed early again. Workout will resume for Thursday. My workouts are almost 3hours long (with breaks here and there and home distractions), but it's not something i want to do tonight. Just resting tonight!

AND even cooler, i'm working an hour late which i'm happy about as i'm not tired and got a second wind in to leave at 6pm instead of 5pm... in order to leave at 4pm tomorrow to get a head start on my workout tomorrow eve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES!

Progress as of today: 1 lbs lost so far, only 1 lbs to go!

Donkey on 02/13/2019:
Yes, rest up! I thought of you last night, as I decided to turn out the lights, rather than start another chapter in the book I'm reading. I too am sensing some "vulnerability" to germs/virus, so I'll be taking precautions today as well.

horn_of_plenty on 02/13/2019:
vulnerability is exactly the word, will enjoy another night of sleep tonight :)

legcramps on 02/13/2019:

I have been feeling 'blah' all week too; I sure hope it's just mental and not that i'm fighting another virus :(

horn_of_plenty on 02/13/2019:
yeah, i'm not energized. tired. so i'll just rest more while i can :-)

SilverySparkles on 02/13/2019:

Home: some kombucha 50

Breakfast: wrap 120, with some of my corned beef extra fatty 250? it seems i shoulda waited till it cooled to drain some fat, i'll prob use hot water to melt some off the meat. coffee 50. TASTY. satisfying. lately very hungry, must be bc leading into a week before TOM..weird month i'll tell you., and one of the Atkins Peanut Butter Cups (YUM) i brought to the office 80.

2 more of the peanut choc things. 150

Lunch: a little big, but healthy: leftover chinese fish and shrimp with a few veggies 250, seaweed salad 100, large serving of chips 250, some tasty dessert crackers 50. 650. just too much though.

3:45pm snacks: roasted salted almonds and small apple. 150

chocolate 100, some corned beef as i was putting it away lol into the freezer 100?, 1/2 avocado 150, wrap 120, drink 30, 2 egg whites just made so tasty 50. total here: 550, better than expected actually!

2050. i think.

4day: 2200.

My plan is to go home and sleep early. Cannot wait. We have a storm, so it's icy / rainy...and after I pay back the store ownder for the coffee, I'll be in BED (after i also freeze the corned beef leftovers so it doesn't go to waste!!!)

Happy Tuesday, with a workout already done last night, tonight's forecast is snowy mix so i'm really happy to go home, no extra walking as i'm wearing boots for snow, and sleep EARLY. need this sleep or i'll be sick again.

I just have to swing by the Deli right near my bus stop at home, as i asked for an iced coffee last night explaining i was out of cash and i'd pay her back today!!!!!! MUST DO THIS TODAY! $2.25.  I was looking everywhere in the stores at the outdoor strip mall last night.  Nobody was selling plain iced coffee! just this one spot.!!!!! Not even in the supermarket. I guess i'm once again getting PICKY. haha

Progress as of today: 1 lbs lost so far, only 1 lbs to go!

SilverySparkles on 02/12/2019:
Corned beef is just a fatty meat. Tasty though.

horn_of_plenty on 02/12/2019:
yeah...it's very fatty especially bc all the fat in the broth it was cooking on has solidified around and on top of it! :( it's very tasty though, even this smaller amount in a breakfast wrap! yum.

SilverySparkles on 02/12/2019:
If it's refrigerated you might just be able to lift the fat off.

horn_of_plenty on 02/12/2019:
yes, some i can, the rest totally solidied everywhere between the meat, i'll use hot water i think.

Donkey on 02/12/2019:
TOM has kicked my diet donkey this week as well. Craziness, cravings, emotions, etc.

horn_of_plenty on 02/12/2019:

Kombucha 80

My digestion is off....and feeling dehydrated after the kombucha and morning with more traffic and congestion on both the bus and subway. I picked up a banana to smooth things. 120, also whole milk in matcha tea. 80.

English muffin 150, butter 50, cooked chinese white type of fish 100, couple chocolates 100

Almonds 50

Lunch was cooked by coworker fish (nice and light) 200 and a few brussel sprouts 100, and squash soup 200. 500.

snacks: small apple 50,almonds 100

160, granola bar 100, coffee 40, drink 50...350, coconut water during exercise (hungry night) 150, few bites of corned beef (not good, it needed to be cooked with sweet carrots i forgot those!...like i forgot all the carrots in general!) it's not horrible, just very garlicly. 150-200

after exercise: TBD, really hungry tonight...just pulling thru and dealing ;) ended up with a little more corned beef 200 - hopefully not more.(extra fatty bc of how it ended up in fridge...will fix it tomorrow probably...in a wrap 150. 350.

2450, fine. - high but at least i'll not be starving tomorrow morning due to only eating carbs all night!

3day:2250, not too bad :)

I WILL EXERCISE TONIGHT :) and bed... yeah, about that exercise, it can wait...??? debate is up about whether i'll do it tonight. feeling rather tired today. but also the work is so tedious. would be better to get the workouts done on Mon/Wed so if i do go out with the guy friday, it's not after being up late thursday night exercising..we'll see.

I was going to do a home exercise tonight, but, we'll see how i feel later. It would be kinda good to do it tonight for many reasons, but we'll see.

Hungry day. cravings. feeling dehydrated. that's another reason for the banana.

i'd like to work out tonight, if i feel up to it later.

tired day at work as i was up multiple times last night.

Progress as of today: 1 lbs lost so far, only 1 lbs to go!

Ricky came over to give me some of my stuff i had left at his apt (since our relationship is no longer the same as it was).  and the visit was longer bc of course i asked him for his help on a few things and to order a TV antenna bc i'm ending my cable TV soon. I'll only keep the cable internet for now...hoping to end it if my internet wifi situation via using a hot spot gets better...he was over around 1.5 hours...so no snacking :)

3:30am hungry - english muffin and pb 300

2050 :)

2day 2150.

I  Picked up some fruit and veggies in downtown flushing, where i was after the concert, and some takeout chinese food. it's all asian there and i did that instead of going to a supermarket for stuff by me.

I have so much cooked food, i'll have to freeze some of it either tonight or tomorrow - so it doesn't go to waste!

Things on fast shopping trip today: avocados, tomatoes/other veggies, wraps, oatmeal, cold brew coffee, almond milk, and a few yogurts, salami if there's any sales..  that's it! i have still a full fridge with all the tasty food i've made :) as well as leftovers!

At 8am, I have a corned beef in the slow cooker and i'm cooking veggies (roasted peppers and garlic) in the oven also.

Yesterday, I slow cooked some tasty squash. lots of good, homemade eats for this week! the squash is a bit on the very healthy side. very little seasoning, so, i may add some sauce when i eat it during the week (ie - indian dish to add directly on top of the squash).

Before 10am, my clothes are in the washer and everything is cleaned up!

Very productive and long morning to get things done :)

Today i'm off to watch a Flamenco Dancing concert which starts early at 2pm. The concert lasts around one hour at the library and free. After the concert, i'm going to take a walk outside :)

Yesterday's Bollywood and other Indian dance concert was very enjoyable. Glad i went. It was also motivating for me, to make sure i got the gym in and did my best there. And surprisingly, yesterday's gym workout was STRONG!? even after a week off, it was wayyy better than expected (except for push-ups, but they'll improve as usual!)

I've been waking up early all weekend, prob bc i slept TONS last week. On average, it was probably 10hrs per night.  I was taking cold meds and they were knocking me out every night. :) def helped me feel better. I still need to take some meds for easier breathing, it seems, particularlly at night. but overall, i'm in a much better position now than i was on Monday morning when i initially felt sick.

Progress as of today: 1 lbs lost so far, only 1 lbs to go!

Happy Sunday to you too!! My oh my you have been so diligent and your health must be fantastic!! Keep up the good work. It is nice to see an old friend still posting on here!!

Horn_of_plenty on 02/10/2019:
thanks, c-mom! so glad to have you back with us right now!

and yes, i've been diligent and doing quite well right now!!!! thank you!!!

Donkey on 02/10/2019:
I hope you enjoyed today's concert as well! How nice to have these free cultural experiences so close for you to experience.

Oh I bet your place is going to smell so good as the corned beef comes to completion! We were just talking about that at dinner last night because St. Patrick's day is coming up.

I'm so happy to hear that you had a really nice workout at the gym yesterday. Do you still have multiple memberships, now that you workout at home too?

Horn_of_plenty on 02/10/2019:
yes, i am VERY lucky with these free cultural events at the libraries. Yesterday's library was prob just under a half hour away with a little traffic. Today's event was 20minutes away and would have been faster if no traffic. easy! And i like that they are only around 1hr! easy to get to, easy to fit into the afternoon! and FREE but usually with talent (and hard work!).

Corned Beef does smell great!

i ended up, btw, picking up Chinese since i was in a PURELY Chinese part of Queens. It's seriously ONLY Asian. It's like you are in China. Hardly anymore walking around isn't. So, now i have wayyyyy tooo much food and must freeze some.

I am only a member of the one gym right now that is quite expensive and a yearly membership. When i bought the membership, last Spring, it was BEFORE i bought all my exercise equipment for my apartment. I will definitely still rejoin a gym when the membership is up because it's nice to get out of the apartment especially on a weekend if i have the time - but not rejoin this particular gym as it's the MOST expensive one. It's also the closest, but i do have another option with decent parking just a little farther which is fine for my weekends only. Plus, the other gym is $200 LESS per year ;) I'll also check if there's any other options.

Unfortunately, i cannot join a place like Planet Fitness or Blink in Queens because they are TOO CROWDED and there's wait time to use benches and equipment which is not convenient for regular gym-goers! So, I DO have to pay a little more, depending what gym I choose, for decent equipment and a little less of a crowd!

SilverySparkles on 02/10/2019:
We are working on adding to our home gym because there aren't any nearby.

shower soon and reading at library i think, i'll just get there early so i'm not rushing and read

coffee and bar, coconut water total here 300, banana 120

dinner: a full meal, so tasty, wrap 120, avocado 160, salt and pepper, egg white only 20, and grilled veggies in some oil and balsamic 150, chips 150. 600

total around 2250, fine! healthy eats!

Off to watch a free library dance performance later today starting at 3pm for an hour, then i am off to the gym!  Same tomorrow, my plan is to go to another free library dance perforamance and tomorrow it's in a really nice library full size auditorium. Today, it'll be my first time at this particular library, so i do not know what to expect or what kind of performance room this show will be held in...but i like the town it's being held. It's called Sunnyside, in Queens. Tomorrow i'll be closer to home, in Flushing, Queens  (which is my zip code, so definitely closer).

Today's performance is Bollywood Dance. And tomorrow's performance is Flamenco dance.

Using my slow cooker this afternoon to cook some big halves of Kabocha squash i had bought (also called spanish pumpkin, low calorie thing). i'm flavoring it as dessert with cinnamon and butter mix. and sf granular sugar. recipe calls for cooking on low 6-8 hours - should taste awesome later after all that time cooking!

Happy Saturday! Woke up really early, 7am! Ready to be productive at least right now finishing up my taxes and waiting to see if any other docs come in the mail before i submit my taxes, nice and early ahead of the mid-April deadline :) Also seeing about opening another PayPal Account as i learned of a really great way to add points to my credit card by transferring funds between Credit Card and Paypal accounts. That's my advice, if you want more credit card points :)  Going thru my credit cards, choosing the one i will mostly use this year and putting the others away for an emergency (no emergencies though!).

I've input all my tax info to Turbo Tax online, ready to file. Overpaid to use Turbo Tax accidentally.  I should have bought the tools on Amazon for 49.99 with PC online Install. Instead, I paid on the Turbo Tax Intuit site separately by accident for Federal and state, each 39.99. so i paid $80 instead of $50. and i do not want to do it all again after doing it a couple hours last night already. So, instead of deleting all my info and starting again, I'm paying the $80. I'll still wait till March until I actually send this in, in case i receive any last minute tax documents in the mail :)

Progress as of today: 1 lbs lost so far, only 1 lbs to go!

In reading your entries this week, I am wondering if where I'm going wrong is not eating enough. How the hell does someone figure that out?

Sounds like your lunch date went really well, menu-wise! Delicious!

Horn_of_plenty on 02/09/2019:
the menu was awesome. he enjoyed it, too.

you can always eat more (veggies) haha. :) if you are constantly having a raging appetite, eat more. one meal a day at least should be very satisfying.

Donkey on 02/09/2019:
PS I commented on some of your comments to me yesterday :)

Horn_of_plenty on 02/09/2019:
i enjoyed the comments back!

SilverySparkles on 02/09/2019:
I'm wanting to get taxes behind me too but still waiting for a couple of things first. I think they have until the end of Feb to mail them. I usually end up doing ours in March.

Horn_of_plenty on 02/09/2019:
yes, that's right! i do believe that's the deadline for us to receive our docs! :)

i'm happy i at least have what i need ready to send out, i'll work to send them out at the end of February, too.

SilverySparkles on 02/09/2019:
I order the Turbo Tax CD Deluxe which comes with federal and 1 state, instead of a download. I file the Cd along with my files for the year every year and that way if we ever get audited I can recheck it myself before the audit. I love working with turbo tax, we have never been audited. But I like the CD in my posession and in my files. I pay between 45$ and 50$ yearly from Amazon.

Horn_of_plenty on 02/10/2019:
i did bad this year :( for not purchasing it on Amazon. next year i'll make it right :) i'm just glad they are done. now just double checking i don't receive anything extra in the mail this month :)

Maria7 on 02/09/2019:
Re: Slow cooker...reminds me that I want to use mine again soon. Hope you are having a good evening.

Horn_of_plenty on 02/10/2019:
and mine is on again this AM...i've got corned beef slow cooking for 11 hours on low today :) love a slow cooker bc the food is extra flavorful!

I have a third lunch date with this guy. I get to choose the restaurant every single time. He likes HEALTHY! Today, we are going to a cute place called The Little Beet. Tons of veggies and roasted ones!  I have a feeling he'll like it.  The other two times out we first went to a buffet and second time was a bar with good salads. so this time is a mix, sorta in the middle, and no wait time for service since it's Chipotle style...and seated afterwards.

Woke up with still a hair of congestion.  Bc i took PM cold meds, i could have slept longer and was still tired waking up.  I'm glad i did NOT exercise last night. :)

Progress as of today: 1 lbs lost so far, only 1 lbs to go!

Donkey on 02/08/2019:
Lunch place sounds delicious. Have fun!

horn_of_plenty on 02/08/2019:
Thank you so much :-D

SilverySparkles on 02/08/2019:
Atkins coconut bars are amazing!

horn_of_plenty on 02/08/2019:
yes, my favorite! i also love their peanut butter cups -the atkins brand. just like reese's minus the sugar...like a "fat bomb"...i'm going to start bringing them to the office for a an afternoon treat.

legcramps on 02/08/2019:
:) :)

I don't mind adding avocado as a fat, but I was feeling sluggish from bacon fat. I must admit there were a couple of days there were I added both fats to the same meal, so maybe that had something to do with it too!

Have an awesome lunch date!

horn_of_plenty on 02/08/2019:
it's true, doesn't need to be a lot of fat extra or a lot of protein in meals. lately, i'm skipping the egg in my breakfast and just keeping extra avocado with a little, LITTLE, serving of salami. less is more these days for me, too.

yeah, maybe you needed LESS on the bacon. just a little bit not a whole serving.

thank you on the good thoughts for this lunch date.

thinkpositive on 02/09/2019:
Have fun on your lunch date. LOve the name of the restaurant!

Horn_of_plenty on 02/09/2019:
:-) i think he liked the restaurant a lot :)

it was nice, the date. no sparks though, just a friendship it seems.

Horn_of_plenty on 02/09/2019:
like, it's more an adult type of dating, not the sparks first. seems sparks later type of thing.

Kombucha, not much, 50 cal but really not even that much :)

Breakfast: wrap 60, half avocado 160, 2 thin slices salami 40, smoked salt and pepper. matcha and milk, stevia, 50. 310...and some really taste cake from Ukraine that is very dry like a merangue and amazing with a few nuts. it's called Kiev, like the place it's from in Ukraine. 100-150. the cake looks like this, but no chocolate topping, it was all white/light color with small hazelnuts, photo here.  it's like a fancy merangue cookie with some hazelnut frosting. amazing.

Snack: have one of those new Quest Hero bars that i ike a lot and are surprisingly just under 200 cal. highly recommend this protein bar. but it does cause more gas, this bar...something to keep in mind, a little bit.

Lunch: from home, same as all week which is veggies with a little pesto (smaller serving) and tofu (also smaller serving). total here: 400., tomatoes 50. 450..

snacks: clementine very ripe 50, pitachios 150, chocolate 100. 300.

Dinner: yogurt and cranberries 200, spread 150 and crackers 170. 520...and more crackers. 600

6day 2086

no exercise tonight i've decided to keep the resting and sleep early....at least i did the cardio all week.

Planning to take maybe the slow local train home (based on how crowed the express train is)...because i am enjoying this book and just want to relax...outta the office, away from the computer.

I'll get a really good exercise session in Saturday, to get a  head start on the exercise and not have to wait until Sunday since i will not be working out at all this week...really may change my mind though, I"M THINKING TO EXERCISE TONIGHT! :)

If i can continue to feel better as the day goes on...

Last night i slept thru the night but my nose was clogged in the morning and the back of my throat was a bit mucosy...but now all better...i am sleeping lots of really don't wanna skip tonight's workout.

Once again, it's how i feel...really not in the mood to keep skipping. but working out when sick is also not a good idea...

Progress as of today: 1 lbs lost so far, only 1 lbs to go!

legcramps on 02/07/2019:
That cake does sound delicious!

I hear you about maybe changing your mind about exercising tonight; I am doing the same thing right now. I think we must be in the same boat - clogged sinuses is where it's at LOL.

Hope you're feeling better soon!

horn_of_plenty on 02/07/2019:
yeah...do you think we should both cool it and wait until the weekend?? I'm def on the mend but still with a cold, for sure.

horn_of_plenty on 02/07/2019:
yeah, i'm still taking this night off to relax.

i figure it'll be good to get to bed early again and just end the week on a strong note.

horn_of_plenty on 02/07/2019:
it's been a real struggle to maintain using the same weights and not lighter ones since December it's been a challenge, but i guess i'll just work on it like i always do...and things will get better as Spring arrives :)

at least i was looking super in Miami and got all the photos i could ever want of myself then :-) ....things will improve for both of us when Spring arrives.
