3am/8am 2 bananas, pain meds, water - did the trick. 250
8:30 - 2 pieces or 1/8 of my awesome pumpkin pie which turned out very delightful after following the recipe to a T. Each piece 280 cal. Bc it's has protein powder there's a bit of protein per slice is 10g protein so by eating two its 20g protein or 40% daily value - good. And tasty fats. 560.
donkey it's a good crust recipe and simple. Makes a nice sweet crust.
Breakfast was Not very filling foods above but tasty and doing the trick for now with at least my taste buds !
while running errands, small kitkat 90 and 3 cans of flavored seltzer to which i added stevia. remind me: no more bananas in middle of the night and no more TWO slices of cheesecake for breakfast - they were small, but, come on! the calories added up too fast.
3pm 1450 after a healthy lunch for 550. and since it's cold and i'm pooped from errands and a tasty lunch, i'll be exercising in my apt, not the gym today :)
4pm coffee and some of a pumpkin cheesecake small 150..
during workout: yup, 3rd banana of the day. 150, aminos, clementine
8pm dinner cauli crust 200 with eggplant tomato paste spread 200, bite of tofu seasoned 50. 450.
2250, good.

dermatologist soon at 10:15am and a super quick run to store to pick up a few more groceries so I can cook more this coming weekend and maybe even tomorrow without needing to go to store :) I think I want to buy another package of almond flour since the crust is awesome and now I am out of it.
My Yummy Pumpkin pie:
then i thought of donkey...someone on facebook posted a "flask" for cat lovers...i debated not posting it here as donkey doesn't drink, but, i did think of you donkey when i saw this on facebook the other day!
Me on Saturday at an art exhibit:
My friend and I in midtown manhattan inside a hotel called the Lottle Palace Hotel...I'm in the sneakers on the left :) She's the one I went to the city with on Saturday.

2:30-3:30pm snack: seltzer all day with stevia (must clean my brita filter so i can start saving money and drinking tap water again...have been having seltzer only for months now...lol) and microwaved warmed up cookie dough :) 150., pumpkin 100 with chai stevia and pumpkin spices, siggis pumpkin & spice yogurt thick 150, some of the veggie soup as it's still cooking but i took some for now to eat since it's only veggies and soup and tastes good right now too! 50
...veggie soup tastes nice and fresh :) and i cannot wait to cook this pumpkin pie after laundry is DONE :) and i can concentrate just on this pie that's been in the words to make since FOREVER :)
while cooking 5-7pm: big grapefruit 100, sugar free amino drinks very strong flavors that i love...caffeine free also. just for flavor and some tastes of my pumpkin pie crust and cheesecake that i'm making...
then i had a nice amout of tastings of the batter to the pumpkin pie keto cheesecake i made. 400 cal. bc i ate quite a bit.
8pm dinner: wrap 120, egg and a white 100, a tasty eggplant and tomato sauce spread heavy on it ! 130? total here: 350
2250 today and very tasty stuff. wish i could have watched it better with the eating of the batter, at least it was good.
now that food is mostly cooked for the week, still gotta make turkey burgers though!...and the pie has finally been baked...we're off to a great start come Monday!
i rested up, exercise will resume tomorrow Midday. I have a dermatologist appt in morning and after that i'll do a quick food shopping, lunch, and off to gym in afternoon.

Bad leg/thigh/lower back cramps in middle of the night so, both times that i woke up i decided on having a banana and pain medicine which worked both times to get me back to sleep and resting comfortably. it's that TOM and this time around the pain is heavy.
I'm cooking a veggie soup with all the glory (meaning, it's awesome!). i'll post a photo later. I also want to post some other photos later. I wish i took some photos of the Cat lover's gifts i saw yesterday around NYC, would have liked to show Donkey what i saw. even magnets :). I'll post some photos of what i saw yesterday later today! and will be commenting more on entries.
Progress as of today: 0 lbs lost so far, only 2 lbs to go!
I'm sorry I did not comment on yesterday's entry. That sounds like it was a lot of fun - and a full day!
Breakfast 1 8:30am: light choc brownie ice cream 200, decaf coffee 50
10am breakfast: wrap 80, egg 80, 1/4 avocado 80, salt/garlic/pepper (as usual getting the health benefits - and taste - from spices in).
Light lunch: starbucks "egg bites chicken and chorizo flavor" which were pretty good if i may say. very decent and protein filled with an iced herbal tea that supposedly had no sugar in it and i sweetened with stevia 250 here only :)
Snack: hot spiced Wine! at the end of shopping at a holiday market in the city...turned out to all work out spendidly today in NYC. 250? hoping not more, could be.
5:30pm Dinner was large at the Grand Central Terminal concourse, some fried rice 300 (but pretty light), spicy tofu sorta large serving 300, and a huge serving of my favorite - veggies - mostly cabbage and it was decent with carrots yum 300 hopefully not much more.! 900 here.
and back at home: decaf coffee, atkins coconut chocolate bar. 250 wasn't in mood to not eat, so i had a snack when i got home at 8pm
total here: 2300. good...close to midnight banana 120 (bad thigh pain) and tylenol.
tons of walking today in nyc very fun. it was chilly but not too bad in terms of the weather!.
______________________________________________
my mom gave me awesome new spices a mixture sorta pricey taste she has from a farmer's market she'd thought of me and i'm thinking that even though they are for soups / meals - to start using them as a change of pace in my breakfast sandwiches too. i'll also use those spices in my veggie soup to be made this long weekend :) I'm def bringng my lunches all the next two weeks since they are short weeks and low stress weeks! There will also be two nights next week that i'm making plans to see friends / coworkers after work for dinners (both thursday & friday!).
_______________________________________________
Today's plans - noon meeting at GCT - out to lunch, eating in the Dining Concourse at Grand Central Station (Grand Central Terminal GCT) 42nd Street Train Terminal !! It's by my work so i'll take the train i always take for work and walk a few blocks to that spot. Meeting my friend Christine. I'm surprising her, she doesn't know - but we're stopping by Rockefeller Centre so she can see the tree and go to Sephora and a few stores there before we head to an Outdoor Market for Christmas held near Central Park (she knows only of this part!). I have NO IDEA what we will be doing for a later dinner. but, no worries. there's food everywhere in NYC!
Progress as of today: 0 lbs lost so far, only 2 lbs to go!
Good job having a fun day out and still logging in a moderate number of calories by the end.
Now, compared to even 15-20 years ago, people are so much more health conscious. Living in NYC with people with $$$$ all around, the food market and restaurants need to cater to people who live that health-conscious lifestyle....
So, in conclusion, finding HEALTHY food choices is EASIER in NYC than it is in most other places, especially the mid-west and stuff and even anywhere outside a major city where the clientele cannot simply afford such variety or get it shipped into their smaller cities at such a rate like NYC where the abundance is everywhere and everyone is ordering it / selling it.
especially places that are that buffet style, like the Duke Eatery by my work, when you have a HUGE room filled to the brim with buffet stations, sandwich stations, salad stations, sushi stations, "Poke" salad stations....galore....soups, etc... it's so easy to start choosing the right thing.
i used to gravitate at first more towards making sure to get some dumplings or some noodles to try, and sometimes it what i'm in the mood for, but lately the healthy options are good and staring you in the face, you start to be very happy choosing them.
and salads are most always an option at the restaurants...and i know (based on years of learning) how to order lower cal - at MOST places.
so, if you were to be in NYC, i think you'd find a way...it's actually helped me on my diet as of late because the options are there even if i don't bring lunch from home. and when i want salmon, i just have to walk 5min and i have it ready-made....it's crazy!
the gluttony of NYC is NUTZ!
Home kombucha 50
1st breakfast at work: 2 Godiva chocolates 200 and coffee 50
2nd Breakfast: 1/2 lg type of wrap 120, egg 80, 1/4 avocado 80. 300.
Noon: almonds 50 cal
Lunch: same as 2nd breakfast 280 and 2 small orange peppers 70. total here 350, green tea decaf hot.
2 SHOTS AT WORK :) 200 left at 2pm :)
550 cals before and DURING (mostly during) workout: coffee, one piece of chocolate, 3 smallish bananas
550 dinner. filling.
2300, good.
7day: 2121 , decent.
On way home, if we get out early which is 99% right now to leave at 1pm: coffee and something semi sweet on the way to workout at home almost 99% sure we are NOT getting out early now! gym, bringing two small bananas to gym also and my sugar free, caffeine free drinks too for what I'm ancticipating to be a full afternoon of GYMMING. like many hours there...prob 3hrs there with rest of course here and there.
______________________________________________________
ahhhhh...Russian nice coworker gave me 2 different CHEESE types of desserts. very large sizes and high cals...i may have to give to someone else or throw away as now the calories are just coming from everywhere and my body is rejecting it all...meaning, i just indulged in cookies for breakfast and i'm sick of the high cal consequences of weight gain. i'm really ready now to watch it :) for now. i am prepared with a healthy second breakfast and lunch. my goals are now more important than more desserts.
although the fancy cheese desserts are russian and a gift of a coworker's WIFE now!!!! to me!!!! they are really good. trying to think what to do.
Progress as of today: 0 lbs lost so far, only 2 lbs to go!
I would keep those desserts. Take them home; can you stand to keep them at your place and only have a little taste each day until it's gone? Sometimes I can't do that, but if you're really determined, you can make it happen and still be able to enjoy the gift!
also, now it seems we may not be getting out early today...but at least we have Monday off.
the other was a heavy cheese danish type thing. with TONS of sweet cheese inside, of which i did try the smallest taste and realized it was way to rich and i'd do better staying away.
cheese and sugar = higher calories indeed. and the portion sizes like you say aren't worth it. i'd rather stick to individual serving chocolates. especially since these desserts i don't have often or at all, the desire to have a bigger slice would be there. so i didn't want any.
(5 day avg = 2060 cal)
Kombucha 50
Breakfast: this cool cookie i found which has a serving of veggies flavor lemon poppyseed 170, coffee 50, and i then heated up a dark chocolate chip quest bar (not good) to eat like a warm brownie 180. 350 here.
Snack: Wrap 80, egg 70, half avocado 150. total 300 very healthy. added black pepper, salt, garlic
Out to lunch for coworker's birthday @ Connoly's Bar: Bud Lite (yup!) 100 cal, half a portabella sanwich on Italian bread with cheese (not great) 400, fries 300. 800.
2pm Dessert back at office: very heavy cookie dough brownie cake. 300??? Yes, it was extremely good. the one thing that's been worth it as of late!
1800...yuck...
4pm snack almonds 50
Dinner: whipped cream 1/4 tub 120, 1/4 bag cooked cranberries with extra stevia and little saffron 50. 170 and a drink 30...200...and small wrap with a little fried eggplant / spread 200
2250....did it :)

Here's some food for thought:
It's someone's bday today. I like her and go out to lunch with her often just me and her. Well, my neighbor who works in that room with the nice woman who's bday it is just told me that she (my neighbor), another guy in the room (the big mouth Bengali guy Proj Manager), and one other guy who is older and like the bday girl's "work husband" - the three of them contributed ot pay for a WORKOUT BAG from Lululemon.
Wow. If you've not heard of lululeon, it's $$$$ workout clothes and loungwear and accessories. So, this bag is prob $100-$150. so, each of them contributed around $50 each. On top of contributing to her "holiday" gift not related to her bday gift that she'll get tomorrow..the holiday cash.
I think i've heard it all. First of all, i do NOT commend or agree with buying someone an overpriced gym workout bag. Like, are you serious!? ARE YOU SERIOUS!? You're paying $$$ for a bag you will stuff in a gym locker and stuff with your dirty workout cothes an sneakers. What is wrong with them!? $50 each? ----that's my guess.
I will not be part. They didn't ask me and i'm glad i wasn't asked. I don't spend $$$ on anything but food and that's MY perogitive. But, as a gift to someone else, why would we be expected to contribute 50 each!? are we rich all of a sudden? I already paid $10 for her holiday gift from the whole office (it's up to $300 now that she'll get as i'm in charge of it but i didn't initiate it - her "work husband - older man that gets along with her that also contributed to the gym bag came up with the idea for a holiday $ cash collection for her which i'm ok with).
Since when are we being so extravagent and purchasing top of the line gym bags? Who has that kind of $$$ laying around. Sorry, not a part of this nonsense. They can kiss up all they want to her. I paid $10 for the christmas gift to her. I'll also treat her to lunch with them (another $10) and i'll buy her a drink next week or something after work for happy hour. $30 is ENOUGH. dam* it with the spending already.!!!!
Man i buy my clothes from Old Navy (SEMI-budget pricing if you try to buy using their sales and deals) and workout stuff is the same. and now that i'm working out at home i don't even always wear workout clothes sometimes just a tshirt and shorts. I'm not going all out for someone else if i don't do it for myself, SORRY :) Nobody got me anything for my bday except the bday girl...she treated me to Starbucks $10 and that was so nice of her. she likes to give. but, doesn't mean i have to agree with $50 all in one shot. i don't live my life spending. NO.
Progress as of today: 0 lbs lost so far, only 2 lbs to go!
And stop eating cookies everyday. You're killing me with them. :) (Just call them something else.....like "flat flour discs" or something. That sounds less appealing.)
While my wife and daughters like Old Navy, it's still too rich for my blood. I buy the out-of-season clearance rack at Walmart for $1 per shirt and wear them for at least 10 years..... (Not completely true, but also not completely un-true. The truth is somewhere in the middle.)
Keep progressing with what you can control (exercise, food) and let the rest fall by the wayside. It's advice that would lead me to less stress......if only I were able to follow it more often.
you're even thriftier than i thought! way to go!
the cookies for breakfast for def not a normal cookie, the ones with the serving of veggies. i'll provide a link at some point. right now i forget the name of them and don't wanna search bc i'm getting ready for work...
i will take your advice and try to just stick with my decisions and control what i can and TRY to end the thoughts that are just taking up my time on things i cannot control :) it's GREAT advise to lessen stress you are so right on this.
the cookies and treats are at their upper limit at this point :)
Edit: I did the 3mi walk home :) woohoo! it felt good bc it was 40 degrees, not lower (around 30 and very windy previously) like it was. and i always dress WARM. earmuffs and a scarf and hood and gloves. no need to freeze on the walk.
Getting nice exercise in on the commute home, when getting outta work on time at 5pm, has me reaching my apt at 7:30pm. So, i came home, got things in order, put the hamster in the ball to run around, ate my dinner, and was in bed before 9. I did wake up in the middle of the night probably bc my brain was still really active after the day, but went back to sleep. Lately, i have few problems going back to sleep if i wake up. it's not a problem thankfully.
PLUS, they have now installled the lights in the new poles in the park area...i was smiling on the walk last night! The area had formerly been under construction for 6 months and it just ended. Finally, the area is LIT!

Morning: kombucha 50
8:30-9:15 Breakfast: wrap 80, egg 70, last leftovers of the Indian Okra spiced up well with ginger too 150 in oil i bought, so good! - so glad i didn't waste (throw out) any food as of late :), coffee 50, caramel truffle from coworker - why not!? i looked up the cals....crazy...100 cals per truffle for this brand (Olivia)...since cals were just at 400, i am giving it right now rather than deny...no need to feel slighted and binge right!?
snack: coconut chocolate bar atkins 170, later almonds 50
Lunch: one serving semi hard (really quite soft) tofu 50,i also brought tomatoes 50, a frozen "mashed cauliflower" Bird's Eye brand from my freezer which is light and low cal 150 for the WHOLE package of 3 servings and i did eat it all, not sure if i'll eat the whole thing,(running low on hot food now to bring - didn't cook on this previous weekend), but i see myself buying chips perhaps as it sounds too low carb right now...Total here is 250. :)
...time to make today a good calorie day!
3pm sooo sleepy, coworker left and i'm very, very tired. had a small, strong 4oz coffee and a really cool 100 cal or so white chocolate truffle with coconut flakes (lots of them) inside it.
4:00pm 2 clementines, figure 100 cal. and some almonds 100
1300....600 dinner, banana in middle of night
2000 or so total
___________________________________________________________________
It was very difficult to get up bc went to bed semi-late. tonight, my main is goal ONE thing...sleep early. otherwise, my workout for Thursday will be difficult and i see the opportunity for me to get sick as a main possibility if i cannot start to sleep better during the week with less stres of work. It should work out, no more OT...just so far Monday and Tuesday night were busy / later nights.
And with rain projected for friday, my goal is just to do a little walking home tonight, sleep well, and exercise Thursday eve with Friday night only goal is to REST & chill out :)
I may begin to freeze more food, as a coworker suggested to me...so far i have some cooked meat frozen. perhaps i'll eat one of those packages come friday. i don't use the freezer as well as i could to maximize eating well and budget better!
I'm prioritizing for stronger workouts, health & moderation so i can meet my main winter goal which is to KEEP BUILDING STRENGTH this weekend and not have any setbacks like previous winters.
a few years ago, i am thinking it was October-December juts up to Winter of January 2014, i had to take those 3 fall months off the gym due to injury and that was a high set back and January 2014 i was very weak and it took a long time to build back up my strength...maybe a full year? Pushups, restarting them after 3 months off, was a terror. It was so hard to build up the strength again.
last year Winter 2018 i was set back by illness throughout the month of January.
Progress as of today: 0 lbs lost so far, only 2 lbs to go!
I'm prioritizing for stronger workouts, health & moderation so i can meet my main winter goal which is to KEEP BUILDING STRENGTH this weekend and not have any setbacks like previous winters.
a few years ago, i am thinking it was Winter of January 2014, i had to take all winter off the gym due to injury and that was a high set back.
last year Winter 2018 i was set back by illness throughout January.
so this year, i'm being very preventative of a setback.
for me, i like to exercise and i like a challenge and to do things Opposite to what most people do. Most people will take the bus, duh!, as part of the 3mi or so commute home (for some the commute may be 1.5mi up to 3mi like mine). So, i like to be different. So i love it when i'm walking the route, the only route, and the busses all pass by crowded and loaded up with everyone. I smile knowing i'm being healthy to walk it on the days i choose!
Also, my job literally is sitting in one spot all day. My whole adulthood, i have been sorta OCD on fitting exercise into my life. After college when i got a job right away, i also was taking a Masters program for my first 3 years as a working adult when i was 22yrs old thru 25yrs old. I would be so angry on Thursday nights (towards the end of the program especially) because not only would the course be every Thursday for three years, it was a course that was sitting playing the French horn for a period of time just that was too long. It was 2 bands in a row, with two small 10 min breaks, rehearsing every Thursday of the school college year, 5:30PM-10:15PM. I'd get home close to 11pm, on Thursday nights for all of my first 3 years of teaching, and always wake up Friday groggy and tired with puffy lips from playing french horn for that extended period of time (i would never practice for that long a time! or play in ANY groups that would rehearse that long...it was two bands in a row once a week....). it was loud and lots of pressure to play well. And in the end, i not only disliked it but i HATED it with a passion.
I remember i would come home from work, do a little prepping, then I vividly remember as i still was living with my parents that at least once i was screaming how i was so angry to go off to this rehearsal, that wasn't even a for credit course just volunteer as part of the Master's program, that i'd have to sit there, skip or reduce exercise on those days...and that i just hated it.
little did i know that i'd be leaving my Teaching job after 4 years. And that my next job would be SOLELY sitting at a desk. And that i would soon after start working HOURS and HOURS of Overtime my first few years in this current industry. And that my goals in fitness and even for sleep would never be the same again.
Little did i know how "easy" the teaching field was in terms of free time and life-work balance compared to where i am at now.
I was so young and naive then. I have learned so much.
But despite so many ups and downs during my entire adult working years, I have managed in the end to come out successful with my weight and fitness and health.
I didn't have to be that way. At one point around 2013-2015 i was overcoming horrible leg issues of inflammation and shin splints from excess use.
I had to actually learn to pull back and not exercise if in pain.
I have had to learn so much. How not getting sleep and being an athlete are not compatible and lead to serious injuries. And how sleep prevents sickness a lot of the time.
I have learned how nutrition DOES make a difference in preventing sickness and injury.
I know that to be an athlete, you health has to be a little bit above the health of folks that do not exercise.
If i had known what i know now about teaching versus my current job, perhaps i would have tried a little bit harder to stay there.
even when i had this job my first year, i remember going on two more interviews to teach as i knew life would never be the same again. and that's what it's been.
when i see teachers complain and count down to their holidays, in my head i say it's funny because most other industries do not and will never ever have the amount of time off that educators get. of course they deserve it. but, for everyone else working an 8-5 job, life is more of a challenge and especially for special cases like mothers who work full time.
As you know, and now i'm just rambling, time is so precious. And I see it everyday. I see how people's lives are so intricately affected and I have seen what people sacrifice (for example, sleep) and i have made my decisions on what a good sacrifice is versus one i'd rather not take.
either way, little did i know where i'd end up. Life took me bc i was not so decisive, but now, there are some things i will not sacrifice and some things - exercise - i fight to keep and maintain and expand because i know in my heart what's worth it FOR ME better than i did in my early 20's...i think.
Lately like you i'm feeling very tired though because of the stress of OT mostly so i'm pulling back and trying to get myself feeling stronger so i do not get sick. Because you know exercise doesn't work out when you are sick.
Kombucha 50...i don't think i had another banana last night?
8:30am Breakfast is weird...someone's bday so i had some of her homemade cake which was awesome. 250??? it was one of those "wet cakes" that would have some liquor in it. very good. Russian cake, she came here later in life. I hope not more than 250. and coffee 50. 300. other coworker made me an espresso too. lol. GOOD MORNING here!
8:30am I also, not knowing about the cake, was running decently on time so picked up an egg white omelette for a more satisfying and hunger preventing breakfast. turned out amazing. it was egg whites with turkey (and a really substantial amount of turkey!) tomatoes, peppers. nice. i still have half as it was big. half the omelette: 250?
10am Snack: Rest of the tasty turkey egg white omelette. i doubt it's more than 200, maybe less...maybe only 150?
11:30-12:00 150 in salted roasted almonds
Lunch: heathy from home, last of my soup 200! with extra tofu 100. and a wrap 100. 400.
Snacks: clementine 50
Snack before workout: big cookie 150 butter and coffee 50...
before and during workout: 2 sf drinks - 1 at start and one during workout banana 120, reese's miniature 40, welches small bag fruit gummies (raiding my halloween mix) 80. no worries at this point!
after workout: Siggis triple cream vanilla yogurt 170, 3/4 the bag - cooked cranberries with stevia and a little saffron 150
total: 2200 :)
4day avg: 2075 - EXTRA GOOD as of now! i may try to keep it like this - below 2100 this week would be spectacular.
LEAVING ON TIME from now till my trip. that's it. 5pm.
i've been home since a little after 6pm and have been on the couch, relaxing and drinking a caffeine free drink until i am ready to work out :) ...tomorrow my goal is for sleep early - thankful for no more OT. need rest :)
After workout meal: probably yogurt and berries? ...YUP!
___________________________________________________________
looking forward to lowering my stress levels, managng my credit cards...fixing the MTA issue - trying to get $360-$390 back from charges that didn't go towards a transportation card as i already am charged straight outta my paycheck but accidentally signed up for an extra service that i thought i had cancelled. i also just paid off another card again by accident extra $200 for a groupon i regurned!!!grrr....so that's fine.
i'll just plan to use the card more than my cash/debit card on vacation / or now bc it will have a "surplus" of $200 since i returned what i bought on it. ...lately i'm just doing things with my money too much ahead of time - by trying to stay on top of things, i'm being so proactive that it's defeating the purpose bc i'm not thinking first!!!!!!
for now on when paying off cards, i'm going to have to "double check" what the charges are for, before i am pressing to just "pay" on my phone because i'm getting stupid with paying for things that i either return or shouldn't be charged for!
Progress as of today: 0 lbs lost so far, only 2 lbs to go!
In the new year, i'm going to be LESS eager to pay credit cards (bc i pay them mostly on my phone apps) and check TWICE before i pay to read EXACTLY what i'm paying for without just rushing a payment thru.
No more stupid payment errors on my end! It's not like i'm losing money, except on the MTA thing...which i'm trying to get back on this coming Monday/Wednesday i'll be calling them again.
But i'm annoyed i MOVED $200 from my checking to pay a credit card of which the amount on the card was for what was to be a finalized GROUPON RETURN! so i moved my money to the credit card for NO REASON and now i'm in surplus! just stupid! i'd rather have left the $ alone in my checking, DUH! lol stupid me~ i was too fast to pay it. and forgot to realize the $200 would be taken off in a few days!
And while I'm on the topic of holiday cravings. I've been doing a good job avoiding it so far, but have been craving one particular brand of eggnog. Saw it in the grocery store and figured I'd buy a carton of it, until I saw how many calories it had. One 12 oz glass of it would set me back 570 calories. That's crazy. And I knew that if I bought it, I'd end up drinking more than 1 glass.
Keep on maintaining through the holidays and I hope to join you in maintenance-land in the new year......
are you for real with the one class 570 cal!? so NOT worth it really! unless, it was a dessert or something not followed with anything else except like tons of cooked cranberries like i had tonight...that was pretty filling lol.
i didn't know you don't drink...why not? do you have a reason? i drink rarely, too. not often. it's such a waste of calories and sugar. you see, i don't even drink JUICE. so, drinking wine and alcohol goes against my idea of drinking calories. i only drink out. i had a phase of drinking at home to try different things and i was falling asleep well, but luckily the phase is gone. it lasted at least 6 months, ending around 6 months ago. i just felt the need to try all the alcohol i didn't try when i was younger, mostly beer and cheap alcohol you find at 7-11...all those sugary alcoholic drinks.
Several different reasons I don't drink (might expound on them at a later date). But basically it's a choice, not based on anything bad that happened or anything like that. Among the reasons is that I'm a light switch (just like food). Drank some in my early twenties, but hated the taste. So at that time I'd either not drink at all or drink as quick as possible to get straight to that buzzed / drunk state.
Have friends that drink occasionally now with a dinner and they enjoy the taste. For me, there's just no benefit to it since I don't like the taste and am not willing to gamble losing my current life (family, friends, profession, etc) by doing something stupid while drunk. Have a friend that's the nicest guy in the world now, but had a drinking problem for years. Over a fairly short period of 5 years and 2 or 3 DUI's, it cost him his construction business, wife, relationship with kids, driver's license, and a couple years behind bars. A more recent instance is the daughter of a good friend just went to jail for 2-3 years because she drove drunk and ran into someone killing them. She's missing some of the best years of her daughter's life in middle school / high school. She was also newly married and I doubt that the marriage will last until she gets out.
And by the way, I don't care if others drink responsibly. I just choose not to.
so, on that note, it's also easier for me to mostly refrain from drinking. so i get it 100%. Totally on the same page with your thinking.
6:46pm edit: the OT i was doing was actually requiring standing up...and since i got two walking breaks also, i decided to finish the remaining 2 hours tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
16/16 hours OT DONE.
I did the OT in 8 days, so, if you average it, 2 hours per day. not a little bit. my hours, if i worked 2hours per day would be 8:30am-7pm everyday. however, on those days some were as little as 1/2 whereas other days i did up to 4 hours. glad it's freaking done!
i will not work OT, i pretty much refuse, until Spring. Very sick of it.
my company doesn't pay anyways for OT. it was to get the 2 days off. but it stressed me out like NO OTHER. and i'm very done with it right now.

Will do an hour OT till 6pm today - should be easy bc i went out on a quick errand in the morning for my supervisor and i'm going walking at lunch...maybe i'll just do the TWO HOURS today???
Need to clean hamster cage tonight...also would be good to do some walking home from Subway....so the OT is probably NOT a good focus for today....
After writing this, I just realized something: do the walk tonight, clean the hamster cage, do ONE hour OT is more than enough.
Progress as of today: 0 lbs lost so far, only 2 lbs to go!
lately, i'm waking up sometimes and going on my phone for a few minutes....but nothing major and i love that i'm going back to bed...and i def got a lot of sleep all weekend lol...
but yeah, i was up and ended up prepping food and stuff...
i only forgot my book :( to read on my commute :( but the cell phone worked so that's good! haha....
enjoy your day jdonk!
Slept in at parents, as i slept over and left this morning as to not have to drive while tired last night! I stayed in bed till 9am which was BEAUTIFUL!
9:30am-10:30am Tasty Breakfast: Baguette bread parents' had just bought, toasted. 200 cal. with cream cheese 100 cal and lox 100 cal. so good! and a hot pomegranate green tea. yum yum. soon after i had some fruit my mom had prepared the night before, will just say 100 cal. there. 500 total...i forgot, a piece of angel food cake...100?
1pm back home at my apt: flax wrap 150, tuna in oil 100, leftover baked squash fries 100, chedder flavor cauliiflower crackers 100. 450. good! need to drink more ...will go to the gym after i'm feeling "recharged" lol.
2:30 high sugar snack: 2 pieces of high cal cookie dough, unbaked. i had ordered it preportioned (best idea!) from a coworker. it says each piece is 140 x 2 = 280 cals... ! it was good cookie dough :) and a coffee, cold brew that i picked up earlier from supermarket. 50 cal...around 350
during workout: banana, 3 clementines. 200 or so.
After workout: plain cauliflower crust with some saffron on some of it 300, 1 egg and one egg white 100. 400 total. i really want to start making the pumpkin pie, but it's almost 9pm...hmmm....i think it has to wait. i relaxed too much i guess today...no worries. not going to lose sleep over making a pumpkin pie. and sleeping was a much better idea this weekend. i have to also make the crust, so, this will wait. tomorrow i'll also clean this hamster cage. i'd rather just relax tonight, being it's a quarter to 9pm.
I worked out on and off from 5-8:30. the reason it took so long is because i started making the miami plans and other plans thru texting...and researching during the workout. it was quite productive and i even bought something very much on sale on groupon - saving $50 on top of the groupon price for two people to scuba dive. so, it was a productive night with the plans....other plans, well, i couldn't get in touch with some people not sure why, one person, but time will tell!
2000 total.
2day: 2050 per day.

I Decided that i'd rather stay home and do a home workout and skip out on the gym...the weather here is chilly, damp and rainy and i'd rather save time and be home working out. also means i do not have to care about how i look much and where whatever i want here at home.

I had breakfast with my folks and soon after i left to do a food shopping at their local supermarket as it's huge compared to Queens' supermarkets. However, i wasn't impressed by anything. the prices were on the higher side and the baking section was void of any of the new baking powders like almond powder....the only section that was well stocked were the yogurts. higher variety. as well as an area of kombucha ! and i did find more cranberries and find some tasty seltzer. however, nothing was on sale much. i got a few deals, but, like i said, not impressed. I also saw a new brand of light ice cream & of course i bought it!
Progress as of today: 0 lbs lost so far, only 2 lbs to go!
They obviously don't taste as good as the real thing, but seem to curb my desire enough to not go off-plan.

OTC pain meds are my friend every month: 2 extra strength Tylenol and 2 Aleve. Icy Hot on the abdomen. Every 4 hours, take more Tylenol
yeah this time around, not good at all...
the good part was the my whole TOM finished quick, as it has been in my mid-30s, in two days. now it's just so light. so, the pain will go. i think some of the reason for so much pain must have been the heavy flow. i'm fine tho! weird part is no abdomen pain. only my right thigh, lower back. always!
