small banana 50, wrap and a high protein chocolate nut butter new thing i'm trying for first time 300. 

Lunch: healthy, from home, leftovers, anything i don't eat is getting trashed as it's been almost of a week for the veggie part of it....LOX and egg white 100 total, potato 150-200, sauce 50, cauliflower 50, veggies 100, nasty chips 50 (threw them all out after a few)..550, tops. healthy. but too many flavors at once, for sure with the entire meal.

snack:nuts? 150, coffee 50

Dinner: cooked veggies, light sauce 200, angel hair pasta 300?, fruit 100. 600.


meeting was good, got home around 7:30, now bed soon after the dinner i just listed. tomorrow is GYM :)


There's this guy at work that's really opinionated. I realize he likes the last word and doesn't like confrontation or someone that would debate with him...he likes people to agree. I plan on ignoring his presense from here on out as he's 29 and frankly some of his opinions are quite stupid ...i give up...i realize i just need to ignore him and not bring up my views (on diet and food for instance) as he's not gonna hear them. he's extremely close-minded. i'm over it. he doesn't even work with me at all...just pops in...so i realize i gotta mind my business and not his. no more talking with him. he doesn't have my respect. i will not be ignored and frowned upon ever again for stating my view bc it's different form his...not cool. he's a real baby and i do not like his attitude. sorry, had to write it here. i have done good keeping my mouth shut over it in the office.

Because if i keep talking to him and riding his views with my own, the only thing that i'm going to face is MORE dissappointment when he ignores my comments. I have to refrain talking to him for my own wellbeing and comfort...unless i want to keep feeling ignored! i have learned this. no more chatting to C. he's a demeaning idiot.

right? i get it at a place they call it Palak bc there are SOOOO many languages in India that different areas call it by different names, but i learned Saag first, so i usually write it as saag and not Palak :) but same thing! :) i don't eat the cheese, only the spinach in the sauce.

where i used to work, there were restaurants every few blocks! it was an indian area. now, it's basically the takeout place on the way home unless i want to drive somewhere by me, but it's around 20-25min to get Indian from where i live, still good.

Late breakfast maybe: egg, wrap, 150, avoacdo 100. 250-300, a second extra coffee with milk and more chocolates 100...allowing some indulgence today :)...and it's fitting in calorie-wise woohoo.

Lunch: good mix, healthy, from home: leftiver chicken nuggets (yes, i totally saved them from last night!) 200, lays small bag of chips 150, tons of veggies leftover from midweek last week 150...500 :) this lunch was NOT satisfying - reminder to self!

3pm coffee 50 (decaf for the 3rd cup lol) & nuts 50


snack: not sure - i have pistaschios / peanuts at work now, a break from the almonds

early, light dinner: tbd..thinking now just a small bar and seltzer and sleeping early. 600 dinner...

1900 total.


At work 20min late, bus delays....i'll leave a hair late, no worries. no plans for after work today except to go home anyways...want another sleeping pill like i did last night, but will probably refrain - maybe i'll take one wednesday on my way home as they have lasting effects for me thru morning...so i have to take it very early before i get home for it to wear off enough by morning! i took it last night around 6 which was slightly late, but glad i took it, slept thru the night from like 7pm until morning...needed this. was super tired but restless, so it helped me yesterday..i take them every so often when i seriously want to knock myself out and just sleep.

Busy week ahead....

Tuesday tomorrow night is a union meeting, gym after that...

Wednesday: gym after work!

Thursday is a retirement dinner &  just going home to sleep afterwards

Friday we get out early, i'll bike to gym for a complete & full workout.

i would rather have worked out Tuesday but it's not good just to start the workout after a meeting... so i'm gonna do the workout Wednesday....and just deal with it not being a complete 48hrs by Friday lol.

ohhh yeah :)...it's better than i thought and i feel better knowing i can be home relatively early after the meeting & after the retirement dinner and can go to bed right after i get home on those days...so really only one late night, Wednesday at gym :)

8am whipped cream 120, cream of whole wheat 150, almond milk 30, cinnamon, stevia, pb 100.  kombucha 50, had a strong caffeine energy amino type drink at the gym, too.

...off to gym skipping caffeine till later i think :) had caffeine at gym lol...

10am-12pm 2 bananas while working out 250

1pm Wrap with egg and spinach spread 250 and plum 300.

3pm another plum (brought a few as snacks while out) :-)

4pm dinner while still out chicken nuggets 350, sauces 50, fries 100 - small amount, beans in a lot of sauce 150? small amount though... 650, good.

1900...maybe a little ice cream and early to bed...

I went to the wedding finally i don't have to write about it anymore! cheers!  I took my own car but did actually stop at my parent's house so i followed them the short 10min drive there from my parent's house! :)

I sat during the ceremony with my parents and during the party i danced for around half hour with my parents. Food was excellent all night. Top notch. Drinks all tasted bad to me except the hard liquor. The champagne and wine tasted bad, maybe it was the glasses they were in. fishy taste. weird. Like i said, food was great. I did take one photo and it was of the cake :) Nobody else was even taking photos. I'm glad i realized this and didn't go photo crazy at all :) I hardly even checked my phone.

I sat at one seat and these girls took my chair accidentally but one of the couples i know didn't say a word to them to stop them lol....worked out for the best tho and in my favor. I changed my seat bc i had to and ended up sitting with a 27yr old friendly cousin of the groom.  Someone new and nice to chat with. He told me his job and we talked about similar interests. Was nice to chat with him.

I left very shortly after dinner, around 11pm before the cake was served. I said goodbye only to my parents and the groom's sister since i'm friendly with her. The groom i said congrats to - he didn't even hear me or acknowledge me - i don't think he even knows my name anymore. LOL. i should have said goodbye to the parents of the groom but sorta left once i had the feeling i wanted to go, all i wanted to do was run out of there. it was like a split decision and my emotions and thoughts were all to just leave.

I'm happy i left when i did.  I ended up knowing a few other random people there.  it brought back strange memories of high school.  too much to talk about. weird connections to people and stirred up some mixed emotions tho nothing too terrible just mixed emotions.

There was the typical unfriendly family friends couple my age that, as typical, were unfriendly.  It goes both ways, i'm not going to struggle to have a conversation with people that need the other person to put on a song and dance for them. if you don't wanna chat, i'm gonna take that signal and not chat with you. I'm done with "MEAN GIRLS." and if you aren't friendly and act like J*ck*ss, i'm 35 and i'm  not taking it anymore!

I was very happy to leave when i did. As for the other girl, the sister of the groom, i did chat with her but couldnt' find her earlier in the night before dinner and during the dancing and when i did see her she was at the other end of my table with her husband & speaking to the other unfriendly couple. there were no seats and i wasn't going over there to tower over them and stand and try to hear the conversation in a loud room which is hard for me as i actually in general have trouble hearing conversation with people at parties that are loud.

so, intead of going to attempt to hear a word or two and not have a good time at that, i decided to let the 2 couples chat and i'd stay by myself for a few mintues which was when i decided i'd be content to go home. I did walk over and say goodnight to the groom's sister and her husband and kissed them both...so then i had to say goodbye to mean girl and her husband that i didn't even talk to like at all but i was gonna do the kiss thing just because i knew i sorta could and had to!  haha ...the mean girl's husband said to me: "you're leaving so early!?" .... well, man, if you were me and you had to sit at a table wtih your unfriendly *ss, you'd be leaving too! so i ignored his funny comment and just left. no cares.  no worries.

i danced with my parents, had a lot of fun. didn't care who was watching. was jumping around like a happy person for i was saying like a half hour. i knew this other man, married i know him from high school he's like two years older, was watching me so i showed off jumping around and dancing like i was the Queen. His sister is someone, of the very few!, that i had major dice with on facebook. she had asked me around a few years ago why if i was brought up like her, i didn't want to get married and do what she and most people do! hahha....so of all people, it's her brother that was there.  he used to play french horn in the band with me and he and the other girl that was also older than me in high school called me "fairy." probably bc i was quiet and small and thin :) i don't care, it never really bothered me but lots of emotions come up when you coincidentally see people at the same event unecpectedly!

I did my best and had fun given the circumstances. besides saying goodbye to the parents of the goom which i didn't do bc i ran out, i wouldn't change a thing about how tonight went.  and that's the story of the wedding. Of course, my sister couldn't make it and so i was sitting next to two empty seats on my other side of me. haha.

I'm so so so so so glad it's over. i feel a sigh of relief. I have a few more obligations during this work week but compared to the wedding they are cake :)

Thank you for writing about the wedding. I could almost feel like I was there ruth you, especially when you wrote of those mixed feelings, as you encountered people from the past. It IS weird. I think that's why I would have major difficulty attending a high school reunion...

Still, I think it's fun to set the clothes, the shoes, the ceremony itself. Not being directly involved allows you that freedom to fully observe.

Leaving before the cake was served... now that is willpower!

I was thinking that based on tonight, i also wouldn't enjoy a reunion, EXCEPT if it were to have enough of the people i'm in touch with on facebook there. if enough people that i like on facebook would go, i'd go...but if they didn't (and it's only a handful!), i would NOT go either. like Gains says below, to me, a lot of it is meaningless to me...unless i actually like the people...and also if there were dancing it could be fun :) but it totally depends on who's going.

based on the wedding, though, i would also probably not go to a reunion. i'm not a HUGE people-person.

Personally I'm not a fan of seeing people I went to high school with and didn't stay in touch with. It's just awkward. I try to be nice, but in the back of my mind I'm thinking it's just a waste of time. There's really only 2 ways the conversation goes. Reminiscing about the past or hearing them sum up the past 2 decades of their life. Neither of which I'm usually interested in. I do try to be friendly and listen, but rarely offer up much conversation in return.

My wife is the opposite. She's more than willing to sit there and talk with people from her distant past for extended periods of time and doesn't see it as a waste.

i feel it's nice to catch up with people who i genuinely LIKE!

it was hard last night. i am not even very fond of most of the people there. i have very different lifestyles now and have drifted very far from the tastes of the couple families that were there.

none of them are people that are particularly my type to hang out with on my own...and with one woman in particular my age, she has always been difficult to chat with...i have given up trying on her :) sooooo not worth it.

i would try to listen and talk, if the person i'm talking with could do the same :) it worked part of the night..but it's nnot like i'm gonna talk to the same person all night when they're married / part of the ceremony....lol....

your wife sounds to be a wonderful lady :)

i am more like you. i also do not need to be around people for long periods of time. i like my personal space.

Interesting thought: men really like my hair lately, seeing the dark roots and blonde ends. i get MANY compliments on it these past couple weekends!, especially when it's wet with gel! weird...but hey, i should take note of this and keep at it!...  haha ;) well, i am single...so, it makes sense i'd like to appeal to the opposite sex :)


Nice tasty breakfast: 2 fried egg whites 100, 1 fried egg 100, 2 Corn tortillas 100, with indian palak spread 150 (big serving), strawberries 50.  and so tasty. will also have some kombucha now 50. relaxing morning . 550.

PM snacks: coconut bar 200, fruit 50, blueberries 50

I  fell asleep an hour from 11:30-12:30 still tired though. but up and doing laundry and cleaning the hamster cage...will prob enjoy come coffee and a granola bar at home, before going to the party tonight, lol.

3:45pm carrot cake flavor granola bar yummmm, iced coffee 200...wow...and this "healthy" chocolate peanut butter cup of some sort. 50....

saturday: around 2300 i'll say. maybe less. food was great. filet minon and all the good stuff. even roasted veggies during cocktail hour. everything good.

I have now some cals to spare at the wedding - i may not drink at all, we'll see. but i did have my dessert for today, at 3:45 so i wont be too tempted at the wedding, lol, for the CAKE donkey. donkey, i will probably not take any photos, i am so sorry, i don't want to be seen taking any photos today or want to. i want no memories of this wedding.


Plans for today are pretty simple - cleaning - hung a new shower curtain liner, hamster cage, full loads of laundry including bath mats...later at 5pm i'll leave to drive to a wedding. i'm not getting my nails done, but will do them in clear if i feel like it... :)

I also did an errand of picking up some food / kmbucha for the next couple weeks - i'm already prepared for Monday now...tomorrow will be simply gym (possibly biking there) and going to a new beach for a Salsa festival afterwards. I feel so good with laundry and food shopping out of the way.

I'm glad i chose not to doll up completely for the wedding by getting a manicure and hair cut...would have been needless spending of $50. better to save than throw money out the Window right now because I'm still paying back my credit card on the following: roundtrip flights to Miami & Paris as well as an untimely car title fees. all worth it!

I applaud you for not going all $$ out for the wedding, as far as nails, hair, etc. Remember my niece-in-law's wedding in May? I thought I'd be going all out too. So glad I didn't - I did my own nails, had my hair pulled back (comfortably), and wore my most-comfortable best dress. I had a wonderful time (with the one exception of there not being any cake, of course).

yeah, i realize that it's sooo not worth it right now - especially since i have nobody to take pictures with! i'm not close with anyone going, except my family. my sister isn't even going since she's stuck in the country Hungry with her husband bc of issues with her pregnancy...

so, why dress up so much if my parents don't even love facebook and i can't take photos either!? i will not be taking photos bc i don't want to appear photo hungry especially not being close to people or friends with them even on fb, i'll leave my camera mostly away if not totally away.

instead, i'm trying to make light of this wedding, enjoy the other aspects of the weekend surrounding the wedding, and feel more relaxed as this month draws to a close. I have come to realize, especially after attending the bridal shower for this same couple, that this is not a very important date for me at all!!!! And that i have a lot of other things to focus on...

INTERESTINGLY, my sister and her husband can't make it....and now there's actually extra seats and i could have brought Ricky...do you think i was offered the opportunity to bring a guest....NO! not that i was expecting it, but, you see, it doesn't really matter if i were to go or not i see with this one....so i'll just go and deal with it for the night. i guess if i could go back in time, i'd just respond with not going? i don't know. i don't know why it bothers me so much?! they are old friends of the family. so i guess it brings up parts of me that i've changed and really don't wanna sit there as the "old me."

friday - today i'm off. It's a day to enjoy. with exercise in later morning, after i clean the hamster cage and just clean up around this here a little bit. in Afternoon around 2, going to the US Open Tennis which happens to be only 15 minutes away, with R, since he's still not working. maybe drop off a camera later today for film development, a gift i'm doing for my coworker.

saturday - laundry is tomorrow along with any prep / shopping / cleaning up for the week ahead....and the WEDDING - only an hour or so away, got lucky on this.

sunday - fun with bike ride to and from gym and of course gym weights session. then off on a drive to go to a beach i'm never been in the Bronx where there will be Salsa live music. i cannot wait. hope to get some color. planning to wear a bathing suit although i'll be walking the boardwalk mostly in the afternoon with R!

food prep and stuff...a lot as been done already leading into this weekend. i did this purposely so as to not have to be out food shopping and stuff all weekend! :) i have a lot of prepared food i picked up during week and leftovers to sorta bring me thru most of this weekend so i can just focus on fiitness and fun.

for the wedding, i've decided i do not need a haircut and i also am not even doing my nails. i'll just go, enjoy as i can, leave when i feel like it. i don't have to waste my money on nails and stuff. i can do them clear, myself. and i also didn't need a haircut. saving money while i can - also, i will prob not take many pics at the wedding, another reason not to go totally nuts. :) i'll go nuts on a better opportunity!


nice and tasty breakfast with some good fats, protein and carbs. trying to be healthy thru the upcoming wedding tomorrow so that my skin stays decent which it has been after my breakouts starting clearing up since Sunday :)

6day: 2150...well, at least i did a lot of exercise as of late, i'm prob ok with this weekly total :)...and i'll continue to be doing totally ok come September! it's a glorious month...labor day parade will be a crusade though! haha...it's a big deal with the waiting to walk the walking, etc...all in good reason.


I decided on gym tonight and bike/jog tomorrow on my day off - as i do better when i do gym the day before jog and not after....so i am trying to get the best benefits and performance from how i schedule my activities.  Because, obviously i'm very decent on gym already, so, my concentration this fall is to keep gym & focus on an INCREASE in cardio planning and activity. VERY HAPPY with how it's all working out so far!

I did, it was a good workout :) This year, my goal is to just keep on, lose no strength in the gym like happened last year in the Winter it was a total loss, and have an increase in cardio abilities. I want to see if i can make serious positive advancements. We shall see :) I'm sure i can!

i had been thinking how if i could get it out of the way on Thursday, how much simpler today would be...i'm going to the US Open Tennis "oldies matches" or however it's called today. I think these are like the previews. Not the big matches to come in September..i think.

To see the old favorites or something play...it's around 3pm earlier than i'd expected to be ready and cardio is shorter so it's better to do cardio today...and now i can emphasize cardio instead of doing it the easist possible after a day at work, if this response makes any sense?

The US Open happens to take place near the old World's Fair area in Queens, VERY close to where i live - like a 10-15 minute drive :) They probably chose the location as it's also in close vicinity to 2 major airports.

This fall and Winter you will notice very different priorities. I will not be taking any classes, but pushing exercise to be the focus, particularly cardio.

I saw an interesting recipe today........mash 2 bananas and beat in 2 raw eggs....put into microwavable dish and microwave for 3 minutes or until center is dry...makes a soufflé....I'm wondering if 1 banana and 1 egg would work....simple, fast and healthy.

Okay....too tempted...so I made one.....I used 2 bananas and 2 eggs and a little cinnamon...I used a smallish pyrex casserole dish ( no greasing needed)...and it did take 7 minutes in the micro. It's definitely a soufflé....it's a little sweet...and I will definitely try it with one banana and 1 egg the next time because it's a lot....but it is pure healthy food.

I think I would probably like it better as a pancake...it is a total soufflé...and way more than I wanted...I ate it all,...anyway...and I think I would add some nutmeg or allspice too the next time...It would make a good source of fast protein for breakfast.....but I'm going to try the pancake one probably next....I don't think it would need any kind of syrup.

Was watching an old series of Survivor with my daughters today and all I remember from that episode was "plotting plotting plotting GIANT BOWL OF PEANUT BUTTER plotting plotting plotting". I think I might be craving something......

All in all, i'm doing good and resting up a little before a late gym session. Trying to have some balance & realizing that I'm taking Friday off, Next Friday we get out early, then...

Labor Day off,

Then 9/10 & 9/11 off for Holidays,

then 9/18 off for same reason...i'm using sick and vacation days to cover when i'm out in September and really glad the days are coming.

I will feel VERY good by the end of September...Fitness will be easier to fit in.  I will NOT be taking any classes, and just concentrate on my cardio and fitness routine...and see where it takes me come end of September. And from there, I will keep on doing my best. I have a few sick days to use in Wintertime when i need to. So things are good.

And for my Paris trip in April, i'll use the new days that we get in April our time is all renewed.  I had been thinking earlier to use old sick days because they last till May but i decided i should take time off little by little with the 3 extra days in the Winter - use them for taking it easier rather than stressing to save them! 

I'm very well set up for Winter this year with lots of time to be off and working on fitness without getting too run down. I want to make this happen...my goals, that is.

While everyone talks about "hanging out" and what they are doing all weekend, I am seriously wanting to get back to MYSELF and my own fitness routine...hang out less, much less, train more. LIke, a 3-day weekend doesn't mean hang out twice, it means exercise twice....right now, i know, i want to get better ...not stay the same, it means train more and make myself happy...cooking, etc.

i may even start dating down the road again...like in a year...or hopefully in a year the Court Officer exam will come out - i think it comes out 2020...ample time for me to STAY READY....like i've said, my pushups and situps are good...i just need the cardio part...it CAN be done...WITH TRAINING. however, if i don't make some more dents into my cardio, which i've done well with so far, if i dont' CONTINUE through all seasons and months, i will NOT get there. I'm ready to change. I should use my "single life" to my own advantage.



gratefully got to work on time :) on the dot. amazing, because i left very late by 10 minutes!

Snack: i will actually be trying to be healthier this week bc i want my skin to clear up (it broke out yesterday) - so i have to watch caffeine and diet drinks. wrap 100, egg 100, avocado 100.

Healthy lunch: caeser dressing a little bit 100?, avocado 50, over my steamed zucchini spirals 100 that i made using my spiralizer and an egg 100 and one naan bread 150 500. AND the other naan 150 :)

dinner fruit,  and a fruit nut bar 400, maybe some ice cream. 100..relaxing., 500 total, kombucha 50


 i relaxed and then got up and cooked the chicken burgers...YAY! and chopped up celery and made my breakfast for tomorrow :) happy to be home, planning my food tomorrow...everything is nice and ready :) much easier to stay on track when you are prepared!....

ready to be up early tomorrow, Tuesday...and ready for work :)

dinner: TBD...i will cook my chicken burgers tonight ! - and probably enjoy a warm one:) i might have ice cream tonight.


no exercise tonight i don't think besides walking from train home...bed early again.

It's funny how leaving at different times makes getting to work different....It was that way for me too.......I had to make a left turn on a bumper to bumper 2 lane highway....in the dark..in the mornings......I figured out that if I left 10 minutes later...it was a lot easier.......people and their habits.

If you want to get back to working out and focusing on yourself on the weekends, then that's what you should do. It doesn't really matter what anyone else thinks if you believe that's what you need right now. No one to please but yourself! So get at it.

it also has to do with having difficulty making plans or not wanting to be around the same person the whole day...and rather not make plans with that person because of it...LOL.

I agree with all of the above! It might help if you set smaller fitness goals to meet along to the way to the court officer tryouts.

Fitness enthusiasts, folks who compete in races or bodybuilding, etc. -- they have jobs, lives, friends, family, but their focus is their fitness passion.

feeling a bit tired and lazy but will get gym out of the way...it's a sorta busy week ahead...with one after-work, work commitment thursday night...I have planned for Friday off but may just stick to my own thing that day...not sure.

I did get my car inspected today which took around one hour, not bad. i did also a minor food shopping. i think i'll go to gym & may even skip out on laundry until Friday.

it's going to be a very fast couple of weeks here...!

That's a reason i'm taking friday off...i'm really trying to increase cardio now...or rather, continue it. It seems i have taken quite some weeks off the jog...and i will be trying to now take advantage of some of my days off to train, rather than just to sit on a beach.

i realized today at the gym that i need to be a little more aggressive with increasing and keeping up with cardio...and see friends less if that is what it means. otherwise, i can throw away plans to be a court officer. As of now, i still have a big chance...i just have to keep training. My abs sit-ups and pushups are great on their charts. i just have to train my cardio...it is still a possibility if i work at it....which this week you;ll see that as well as next week...the month of September, being that i'll be home on the Jewish holidays, will go well with my planning for cardio and gym. So, really, from now till Mid-September, if i stick to things, i will see improvements overall.

October i have days off just and September for work holidays...and December will be a longer month - but still having Christmas and New Year off...

then soon after, I'm taking 2 full weeks off to go to Miami...and hope to continue to train there at a gym & get in more WALKING cardio (i may not do running while i'm away)...taking it easy, instead, with that part.

And by the time I get back from Miami, going away on the 9th, it'lll be already the 22nd...and so February will begin... :)

March will be a long month, i am tempted to use all my sick days (3) that i will have left in March. - they last till April, but i do NOT see it as a good idea to try to see how LITTLE i can get by on...and would rather be more rested as i can....especially with this training. I have high hopes.
