i idn't end up exercising and was home from around 1:30pm until nighttime. it was nice to spend the day at home. i wish i could also do this tomorrow, but i'm meeting up with a friend for real chinese prepared food (we may be cooking it ourselves actually) in the Queens Chinatown which is really close to me, thankfully!)

Slept well, legs a bit sore so thinking i should roll them out later :)

Sleep is just a hair off but i'm not complaining as it's quite nice to be up so early at 6am and looking to start today early and be finished early!

6am-6:30am Breakfast: oatmeal 150 with almond milk 30, salt, stevia, greek whole milk flavored coconut yogurt 160, kombucha 50. 400.

8am lily's stevia dark chocolate 200, coffee50,candy 50

1pm full lunch: popcorn chicken a bit over one serving 350, lettuce, indian veggies with sauce including potato 150, indian saag one serving or so 150, popcorn 150, tea. 800, 2 egg whites oops forgot that 50

fell asleep after lunch for about an hour...

3:45pm snack of a large apple and 2 clementines 150

5:30pm chips salami and tomato 250

was thinking to do my upper body exercises, but i think i may just wait until tomorrow...

9pm later at night after company left (Ricky came over) yogurt and a cereal type natural bar. 300

2250 and calling it a night.

Plans for today:

Maybe head back to sleep for a little after breakfast. also need to foam roll my legs before going out today

Head out to parent's to get Hamster back with cage and all the food, etc.

Shop at large supermarket near parents to get a decent amount of fruit/veggies/wraps/eggs/kombucha/almond milk/spaghetti squash or 2...loaded up on so many things, tons of seltzer too...set for a couple weeks on a lot of food, actually.

Come home to prep foods for upcoming work week and/or read a new book

do upper body workout only (legs need to recover!), 

tomorrow i'd have relaxed too....but my friend from Florida that i stayed with this past January near Miami booked a last minute flight with her hubby to NYC for the weekend and i am meeting her (near me!) for Chinese in the Queens Chinatown in Flushing...so i'd like to get my upper body workout done today.

it's kinda good i'm meeting her, my body (legs) are sore and i don't need to do any cardio, just care for myself and heal properly before starting the cardio training later this month that i've been planning to START.

...and i think my stomach is mostly back to normal now (more my bowls actually lol!) took a couple days ;) (would have taken shorter i'm sure if didn't go to work friday, so now that i've had some time at home to relax i'm doing well again!)

If your legs are sore, they could be sore from the sudden lack of walking. In addition to the leg roll, I would encourage you to do a short light walk if you can.

I remember coming back from the UK (many years ago) and it taking a couple of days to get back to a regular sleep schedule. That's OK, you can get a lot done while you're awake, and then go to bed early.

Do you think that, if money were no object, that you would like to live in Paris? How is your American friend feeling about living in Paris?

legs are more tired than anything. definitely from overdoing everything, walking everywhere, on vaca.

i did get to move around a hair yesterday, shopping in a large supermarket...but that was it. i am doing the foam rolling and will start to lay down with my legs up against a wall daily now. I had been doing it some nights in Paris too and last night here which helps blood flow and circulation...

it's been pretty decent getting back to sleep schedule as now i'm up on the weekend at 5:30-6 lol which will do me GREAT tomorrow for work! :)

yes, i've been sleeping TONS. very tired, low energy right now. wishing i could stay home a few days more before going back to work...but....this'll do.

also wishing to take more time off before going back to exercising my upper body...but, i have most of the day today at home so might as well start it up.

no, i like NYC better than Paris. Paris feels claustrophoic and the buildings care in a design where everything is crowded. food options are more over here. i can get more things here. plus, my family is here. i do like living in Queens. even compared to Long Island, where my parents live, i feel i am a Queens girl at heart. More city-like and not like these more "family centered" folks on the island. more free, more able to live freely with my own rules and nobody else's. i felt this at the supermarket yesterday on long island...

i find that in Queens people do more things with their hair styles - dying it, and more intricate cuts and fashion. on Long Island, i tend to feel people are more routine and regular, feeling the need to fit in...and less-so to stand out.

Happy Friday!!! Relaxing at home drinking my kombucha before i leave for work on this Friday!!!!! Back from Paris!

Kombucha 100 

Breakfast: egg on wrap 200, butter 100, coffee 50.

snacking: atkins choco coco bar and fruit tea with some sugar 250, later a choc 50, other choc

lunch: from buffet near work :) will be healthy maybe seared tuna 2 portions around 250 cal , salad light dressing 100, serving butternut squash 150, serving grilled eggplant 100. total around 600

snacking: apple 100, NUTS 50

dinner: good question! maybe i'll pick up something at lunch for dinner ;) more healthy food and veggies sounds good at this point!  OR, i'll pick up indian food on the way home from work in NYC on the way to the subway, YES!

 I'll write little excerpts about Paris as the weekend continues ... was very busy and tired at nights, so was enough just to log calories and be done with it while i was on vacation! 

In Paris, they do not snack like we do - especially on the go. it's more on healthy things like fruits. and they don't walk around on the streets with drinks, coffee, or food. they sit and eat properly. such a difference from the states! and yes, they were much thinner, way more than me!  especially their legs, leaner - more lean muscle. overall the men especially are thinner, the older men do not have "bellies" like in the US at all.

Even in Disney outside Paris, much less snacks were available there and there weren't food stands everywhere to buy food, just more restaurants. i think that was great, as less temptations and thoughts about food, and more enjoyment just for the park and surroundings!

Welcome home! So glad you're back home safe and sound!

I'm really glad you made these Paris comparisons on your entry, too. That's very interesting. I know that the French do make more of a meal and walk more, but I didn't realize that they didn't snack, etc. I met an American woman who lives in France and she says that the every day pace is much more relaxed and slower. Americans are much more stressed and work more intensely.

I had pointed out to Male Co-worker this eek that the stress I'm under now is exactly how and why I got fat working here in the first place. Get stressed out, want to eat --- rather than eliminating the real cause of the stress.

will write back more, but, they DO SNACK, but do NOT snack "on the run."

they'll eat snacks at their desks or while sitting, not as they are moving along or on a commute or outside standing on the street....

and i think snacks are more like fruit and natural (not workout bars etc).

My French Grandma made a huge inpact on my life in many ways...we have the same patience and demeanor....but unfortunately her way of eating just flew right by me.....I do remember savoring food....very slowly......chatting and nibbling.....it's a wonderful slow way of life...very relaxed.

1950 after fruit...doing all my laundry so i don't have to do it on the weekend :)

laundry is getting done so thats off the list for this weekend thankfully and I’ll be able to really prepare well for next week. 

I think 2400 after another snack bar.

6 day: 2140 - at least I walked a ton all week! It probably is less than all the calories I burned!

2350 Monday with tea and scone for dinner with butter and jam. Thought I ate less but things added up a hair. I had a very tasty lunch of pan fried tuna over a salad with egg whites and anchovies and avocado with a glass of wine and tried my friend’s potatoes

Tuesday banana in middle of night 100 

350 breakfast 100 snack, 200 sautéed eggplant, 100 yellow raisins big serving, bread 200, part of friends sausage 150, salad 150...1300.champagne 200, cake 100. 1600. Melon 50, egg with salt 100, blueberries 50, raspberries 150, small piece lox less than 50. Total 2050! 

And with banana in middle of night around 2150,

been having toast with butter and egg with coffee everyday which hits the spot for breakfast ! Last day is tomorrow in Disney!

weve done a lot and been to a few places several times as we pass them on the way to some activities.

Friday Good day in Paris, 2100 cal  

sarurday ate light and pretty good no real dinner just snacks 1750 tops 

tea everyday lots of it and so tasty.  Mint added in Chinese food cold summer rolls so nice!

veggies and fruit and food in general is fresher crispier and tastier than Bach home

Yes indeed ! Some soreness from walking but overall still holding up....def a bit of soreness but enjoying the trip ;) def not used to taking a full week off work ;) good to feel what a full week away is like again on a real trip not like Florida this past January which was more like a relaxing home stay and not really as a full tourist compared to now in Paris ;)

I'm off to work for half a day (literally!) and then leaving at 1pm to come home from NYC and finish up my packing.  Then, off to the airport.  it's a good week on the roads with many schools out, so less traffic and it should be alright getting to airport (i'm assuming 30min-45min).  I land Friday 9am Paris time in Orly! ahhhhh! :)

on my way home, i'm thinking to pick up a few more snack bars that i like and baby wipes for simple cleaning especially Friday.

i used to have wraps that were much lower cals but they screwed with my digestion....now i have other wraps that are still good calories and very tasty!

I wish I liked cauliflower more, but it's a very gassy food and my stomach revolts when I try to eat it. Though, I haven't tried in awhile...
