1800 cal per day avg for these past 7 days, EXCELLENT and right on par with my goal! For next week, the goal remains 1800 weekly avg!


Good Morning to all the DD Ladies & Gentleman! :)

Despite feeling very bloated most of the week, i have been sticking to my goals and eating less.  Proud of myslf...it helps to have healthy / low cal options at home. it's my only way of having success. 

Doing good.  I stuck to my goals this week.  Proud of myself. I said last week that I wanted a better calorie average of around 1800/day for the week and i even beat that goal. I will continue to stick with the lower calorie averages so that i can wear some really short dresses in summer and show off my body again that i work so hard for!  Anyways, Happy Friday!

6am AM: Aminos in water, kombucha, seltzer with stevia 80 :)

8am - 10am Breakfast: (craving protein, but had what i have & not ordering breakfast) banana 120, protein bar natural type higher fat 230, coffee 50 with equal and milk

11am Snack: most of a nice bar i shared with my boss around 170 :)

1pm lunch: microwave meal over cooked cabbage & a 5calorie Bai caffeine drink.

5pm snack: coconut whey bar, very tasty! and held me over nicely for walking outside for around 40 min! yay! after i got home from around 6-6:40!

7pm-8pm dinner maybe: lots of veggies, i'll say 400 hopefullt not too much more, then some sorbet stuff 200 around, and popcorn 160. very tasty! 750 or so, hopefully not more!

2050 cals today, good! and i exercised. still weak legs even after a short walk ! (just getting back into it...my legs are feeling better though, and not hurting now!) i am feeling so good! 

and that i got a raise, feels SO GOOD to put 17% of my paycheck towards my 401K thankfully!

thank you...my weight was up so much this morning. i am very bloated with PMS symptom just the bloating / heaviness feeling down there. it's so weird. i've never felt this way in my life - with such a heavy feeling like a full bladder?...similiar. it's just a lot of blood flow to that area way more than normal. i don't have it yet, but what i feel is nutz. it's not painful or anything, just a nuissance with so much extra bloating and water weight.

i weighed so close to 120...and i feel it all around in my lower abdomen. gross.

i wonder why it's like that this time around.

despite a high weight, i'm glad i've been eating lower calories this week. VERY happy about it. I realize i need to watch calories more these next few weeks / months or i'm going to have una problema majora! considering i enjoy being leaner...i still have to learn how to eat for a lower weight!

650 before lunch...kombucha, coffee, banana, 2 higher fat bars (one with more carbs, one with less & higher protein...one was natural and one very artificial...)

1pm Lunch: will be light cooked cabbage and a smart ones lasagna over it! total around 450-500 which is A+ 

total today before working out: 1150 at most

snack after work also: 150-250 at most

1300-1400 before gym

After gym: will be light bar of some sort

1700...! again. definitely happy with this total. this is the type of calories i will need to eat for maintaining a lower weight...

1760-6 day average. very good.

I would say i burn around 1800 on non workout days. at least 2000 on workout days. so i'd say it was a good week for a little weight loss :)

6am 150 kombucha (higher sugar varieties)

8am: banana and coffee 170

10:30 higher sugar Nature Valley chocolate granola bar 190

total before lunch: 510, great.

Light Lunch: 400, tops! it was a smart ones meal on top of salad

planning up to 1500-1700 today. that's nice & low cal!

on way home: massive orange 150

Dinner indulgence: cauliflower in sauce 100, muffin 200, yogurt 100, 2 servings popcorn 250 =650, overall a decent #.

1700 ;)

1770 5-day avg :)

I have been doing calf raises at the gym on the regular now for around 2 months (but took April off as we know).  I am noticing that it's working. My calves are getting stronger - particularly my right calf.  I can do the raises easily now. No weakness anymore in that leg. Still my left calf needs some assistance and i wear a brace on it still...but I am getting there.

It's about perisistance and not giving up. If I continue working at it, I'll only get stronger. my lower body needs more time.  I've been working out my upper body around 6-7 years longer than my lower...so it makes sense it's weak to start with.


1,785 4-day average!  GREAT...much better than past few weeks already! and despite having an entire 20 cal Monster low carb Energy Drink at 5pm, I slept thru the night because i had a great workout and used up all my energy there! :)

Breakfast & Morning Snacks: Kombucha, coffee with milk, banana, bar...

Lunch: around 2-3 cups of cooked and lightly flavored veggies, half a pita with turkey and mustard :) (will be having something similiar today!)

snack before gym: rice krispie treat 90, very large orange 160 most, energy drink: around 250.

after gym: protein cookie around 400...and 100 cals of a VERY filling frozen dessert (lots of fiber...)

total today: 1500 CALS!!!!!!!!!! YES! finally!

(skipped breakfast / had breakfast late but smaller breakfast...this is the way to go if you want to loose some weight)

for example...sacrifice some calories in the morning as well as sacrificing some hunger...at least you can eat more at night to fill up...i prefer to be hungry in the morning compared with at night anyways....!

...and still i can drink coffee in the morning at work as well as tea...it's not like you have to completely feel like you are fasting

...this is my magic step for cutting calories during the work week....eat less in the AM / smaller & later breakfast. 

Have you ever had a relationship with someone where it's very slow to get to know one-other but the whole time you understand eac other perfectly?

when eating less though, i always want more caffeine..for the energy.  looking foward to the taste of a Monster Energy drink later...(sugar free types always) along with a rice krispie treat and very LARGE navel orange.

Lunch: lox on pita 100 cal with cream cheese 300. and veggies up to 200 more at most. 500.

on way home: large pear 100

Biggish dinner, but good: starting with listing the dessert - frozon yogurt low calorie 250 (had a lot of it!), turkey 100, cauliflower in sauce 100, bread 200: 650 tops.

total today is GREAT: 1750, tops :)

no exercise and bed early.

1880- 3day total....working on this and working on getting my totals lower again!

Early 11:30 lunch veggies 150 and egg 80 and chips 230 and olives 30 around 500 good. And an orange 100

Before gym: small chocolate, small granola bar, lots of caffeine 230 most

After gym: protein cookie 350 Finally a low cal day! 1600 :)

1950-2 day avg. over the weekend

used a sleeping pill - because i was already tired but wanted more sleep still. i slept around 10hrs.  i didn't wake up feeling tired.

8am kombucha 60, followed by oatmeal made by blending these ingredients:

oats 80, egg whites 90, peanut butter flavored protein powder 100, water, topped with cinnamon and pb 100: 370.

10am Snack veggies 170 Snack popcorn 260 Snack veggies 50

noon Lunch: white bread 200 with cream cheese 100 and lox 50 1250.

1pm: pear, warm chocolate muffin 220. 300

3pm: popcorn light salt: 100

5pm: yogurt and rice krispie treat 200 before gym (decided to go tonight instead of tomorrow....a bit of productivity now so i can relax tomorrow...but i may actually just take a walk outside instead of the gym...)  It's so nice out & i have wasted a lot of the day...i may just walk at a nearby park...that would probably be healthiest...and pick up some things on the way home or not...

2300 today. 30 min walk and that was enough.

gym and also home with parents sunday.  sunday will be a good-busy.

yeah, it's new for me too! During the week i'm always needed more sleep (always waking up a lil tired usually!), so this was great. Last night was windy so i was kept up, i'm sure i'll sleep more soundly tonight!

i am trying hard now again. I was slacking for awhile too, but i don't feel as well when i slack off, so i am also getting back on track.

Fitness-wise, i took 3.5 weeks off exercise and around a month or 5 weeks off of eating well. getting back on track now for summer!

2,010 per day average this week. decent....but i think i need lower to lower my weight a hair. i would prefer an 1800 cal per week average next week. will be aiming for it.

Extra kombucha, but no relief. I'll get relief on Saturday moning FOR SURE :) when i have time & i am home, relaxing. Will do laundry at my parent's house this weekend instead of at my apt because i'm sleeping over their place. Spending at least half the weekend at my parent's place.

6am-6:45am: Kombucha 120 and seltzer with stevia  -  6 cups of liquid and still couldn't poop. ah well...i'll be ok. and a little lox (counted below)

8am: lox 150, cream cheese 100, white bread 150, coffee with whole milk 50: 450

snack: bar 180

total before lunch: 550, good.

Lunch: cabbage & a microwave meal (mostly carbs) 350? gotta check...

4pm: small protein bar 150

lately lots of weird cravings for salt.

sleeping really well lately, despite eating too much. i think the extra carbs are helping me sleep & very deeply. no sleeping pills this week..

i can have a low cal day if i buy veggies after work and relax with them tonight!

1900 cals today = success!

dinner was tons of veggies, some soy chicken, extra carbs (lots of popcorn) and strawberries.

I find porridge/oatmeal every morning with dried fruit in it and salad every night keeps things working. ;)

I have been sleeping better lately than i have in a really long time. It feels so good. I'm going to bed earlier and sleeping thru the night!!!  It may be because i'm having more carbs.

2,025 5-day average. ok. but for weight loss / maintenance, i'll do better with an 1800 average.

Too bloated and nothing going thru. I need to stop binging on such volume in the evenings!


5:45am-6:45am: kombucha 100

7am on way to work: banana 120

9:30am at work: banana 120, tea, and some kinda Indian fried bread from boss 200?

total so far:  around 550, fine...

I like how i feel on higher carbs, but the problem is they aren't satisfying at all...but...only reason for so many bananas is bc i am bloated and they decrease bloating / gas.  Reason i'm bloated is overeating...but i am going to do the right thing tonight of course and this weekend! i will be home & doing my laundry at my parent's house.

1620 before gym lil extra carbs and caffeine

2000 after a protein cookie but then i bought lox and i was craving salt (really not the cookie) anyways, i ate 1/4 of lox when i got home. yes, the whole thing. and a spoonful of cream cheese. so 200 more.

Around 2200 today. decent. was craving salt.

anyways, tomorrow i'll def be back on track. gonna have more salty lox for breakfast...

i will be making better choices now. the consequences don't seem to be worth it. I'm learning my lesson. being bloated is no funny and i would prefer not to be, so i think i shall begin to eat a better calorie-level for my activity again.

I don't want to regain 10lbs back so i'll work on it - and on weekends, i'll try for the lower calorie totals...by eating later in morning / liquids...maybe back to some salty broths so that i'm not just washing out my sodium by drinking water!?

Wonderful Wednesday:

Planning to walk a little bit after work hopefully - feeling good and i know it's important to walk even a little bit like 10-20 minutes today after work before dinner. - healthier than coming home straight to eat.

6am-6:30am 100 – around 4 cups kombucha (but a lil less sugar type)

8am: Extremely filling! Banana 120 and one of those chocolate microwave muffins 230: 350

11am: higher fat nut and lower sugar / protein bar 200

1pm Lunch: butter popcorn 200, bok choy and extra eggplant / bok choy instead of the popcorn & soy chicken 500 total i think

Snack on way home: small peach 50

Dinner: i'm thinking veggies, popcorn & a yogurt. had chips also and a second yogurt. so dinner ended up being around 850, ahhh, worth it?

total today: around 2050, fine. I may go out for an evening walk. I had maintenance in my apt for around 45 minutes when I got home, so, the walk got canceled bc when he left, it was already 6pm and I was hungry to eat...!

i try. it's up a bit now, but looking to keep it in the teens.

i keep it steady by knowing the calories that i eat...counting calories and eating lots of vegetables is my way :) and limiting / stopping the binging or eating more vegetables when i feel binge-type emotions coming on.

Hey Coach, I see you posted the time of the meal. I just did that. I'm thinking the more I 'think about the time" I eat I might be better able to tell the weigh mgmt person an honest picture of how I am eating. If only I can remember to keep the DD habit!! You are so faithful to DD and to your Diet! Your do great Coach!! I'm excited tonight to come home and eat a bag of cauliflower. Steamed!!

Yes, posting the times is something i like doing. It also helps me planning-wise and to see if i'm eating more for hunger / nutrition or more because of boredom. Many times during the weekends, there's a lot more times that i'm including...lol....and it's not due to hunger!

Yeah, i love DD. It's great to have a community like ours. Close-knit and all....talk more soon MOM.

Another way to cook the cauliflower is to roast it...

or blend it with a few ingredients, turn it into mashed potatoes.

Or a stir fry to make like rice - this is what i want to do with it...or roasting.
