Slow to get up this Monday morning...busy at work because of my absence last week. DH had his first physical therapy today, he is still very sore but can tell his knee is healing.

DH received a text today from his ex asking if we can trade Tuesday with Wednesday because her new husband is in the hospital with a serious infection. this is the man who says the library is dumb...I think all his meanness nd negativity has festered and looking for a way out. DH agreed so now we have the little girl Wednesday and Thursday instead. I'm ok with this but she is so rigid whenever we want to change anything. She doesn't play well with others.

Since DH is incapacitated I had to make all my meals. So didn't! B: Iced vanilla latte S peanut butter protein bar L: turkey, Swiss on Italian bread, Pringles S: string cheese D: baked ziti and roasted vegetables

Finished the day with 1549 calories- I'm ok with this!

Bring on Tuesday

I love how you added veggies beside the baked ziti! GREAT idea. Adding veggies to pasta in general is the best idea for cutting calories.

You can even eat veggies, with a little ziti lol.

I hope your hubby feels back to himself soon. He had knee surgery? I have seen the physical therapy people (kids and adults) have to do after knee surgery and it doesn't look easy at all. I know he will feel better though...

You are a good person to deal with that woman and her husband. Just keep playing fair and doing what's right for the little girl. She needs more people like you in her life.

DH hobbled upstairs to get a shower. He is still in lots of pain. He has a rehab appointment tomorrow; I asked if he could go he snapped at me that he could make it. I'm like ok...he can hardly bend his knee. Then he makes a snarky comment that I'm just looking for a reason to NOT go to work. Hello...I haven't been to work in a week I really need to go, I want looking for a reason I was concerned about him! What a jack hole!

I took the little girl to Home Depot to do a Valentine's Day box and then we hit the thrift stores. Today I did laundry, cooked and washed up the dishes. Watched the walking dead Marathon before turning to the Super Bowl! Today is DH's birthday but with him being on the road to recovery we did nothing special.

Ended the day with 1646 calories. B: multi grain toast L: two slices of pizza D: baked pork chop, green beans S: sugar cookie

Need to drink more water- throat his scratchy and picked up a hacky cough! If it's not one thing it's another! Go Broncos!

Sounds like DH is not himself and that he is in pain and quite miserable :( sorry to hear, I am sure it will get better...

I also have a sore throat with a dry cough. yucko. and nasal congestion. it's on the mend, but still here. I hope for it to be fully better by the weekend or so :) But instead of skipping gym, I am going. At least I'll have a 3 day weekend next weekend & I plan on RESTING, not partying! It'll be my last 3-day until end of March.

Anyways, i'm rambling on your page! Nice calories, very good. Nice to see some veggies in there. Green beans are so tasty.

I hope your team wins. I entered a work pool & don't even know what team I am playing for! LOL.

Awful day! Over calories by 700. Very stressed when DH was in surgery = stress eating. Ate a blueberry muffin waiting. After he came out of surgery he had to eat something the nurse fed him/us a cheese Danish. We had chicken pot pie for lunch and then after picking up the little girl she wanted McDonalds and I got it for her. Between the trip and surgery I am so tired I did not want to cook.

DH is ok, knee is of course very sore especially after all the drugs wore off, he decided he would just sleep in the recliner he's not even going to attempt climbing the stairs tonight.

We will see how tomorrow goes hopefully better today.

Started off at 3:00 this monring UGH!

Flight from Long Island was on time, but a plane delay in Baltimore got me home today after noon. I was so happy to get home. It was a hard trip on this old body . I don't think I slept too well the entire time I was gone. I got home, ate a sandwich for lunch and fell promptly asleep. My dog was very happy to see me.

M: very stressed because...I'm fat and airplane seats are not for fat people. I did fit in the seat and need about another inch before I won't need a seat belt extender.

T: went to eat at Applebee's with five other people. Booths and fat people do no go well together. I squeezed into this booth and by boobs were sitting on the table. so I had to squish them down too. Totally disguested with myself at this point. I  went downtown to sight see and did surprisingly well with all the walking, I didn't have the best walking shoes on but I survived. We went to The Hardrock Cafe, again booths and fat people. I was with three others and I just said, I can't sit in that booth, please move me to a table. Again, very stressful and eye opening and depressing all at the same time. Yet all these feelings do little to help, aide, assist in actually eating the right things.

W. Went to eat with four people, but requested a table up front. I am so tired I have a strawberry daqueri hoping this will help me sleep a little better. Again was not happy with the food. My chicken was dry and the pasta was overcooked. Come on this was supposed to be an authentic Italian restaurante...guess the cook was out!

T: Again, flying and being fat, at this point I'm  just glad no one had to sit in the middle seat. Oh I fit mind you, but the person who sits in the middle has a hard time moving around without touching me and I know it makes one uncomfortable, but was glad no one had to sit next to me. I would say the trip was a success. I learned quite a bit to help me do my job better and I met a lot of awesome and pretty great people to say the least, and I am happy I went, despite all my stressful situations.

F: My DH has his knee procedure, we need to be at the hospital by 8:20 and I hope all goes well for him and he heals quickly.

B: fruit and nut protein bar

S: honey almond protein bar

L: asiago bread, turkey, swiss cheese

S: popcorn

D: baked chicken, rice, kale salad

finished the day with 1306 calories, which I am very happy about.

I will leave you with the Freedom Tower and Elmo in Times Square!

Have my iPad packed away and typing on this phone really blows. I finished the day with 1583 calories and trust when I say I am more than ready to go back to O hi O! Long day of training.

B: fruit and nut bar 3 short bread cookies L: cheese it crackers and protein bar D: broccoli, sun dried tomatoes, baked chicken, some pasta.

Flight leaves at 6:00 - I am ready. Talk to y'all from ohio...peace!

Go to the city they said. You'll have fun they said. I thought about it and said oh no I want to watch the O.J. Movie. My DH says you should go cause this might be the only chance you get. Ok! It is 12:50 and I just got in to the hotel room. Saw the 9/11 memorial, Empire State Building, got cussed at. Road in a cab, saw the Statue of Liberty and went to Times Square..Walked my ass of girl wanted to shop and shop and shop (I don't shop)! We left her at Macy's and went to eat at Hard Rock Cafe..id rather had Bubba Gump but was out voted! Had a pulled pork sandwich ate 1/2 of it because it sucked!

Had a bagel for breakfast and tomato soup and Thai shrimp from Applebee's- that's another complaint! So far I haven't been impressed with any food I've eaten! I ate a box of Reese's pieces which I enjoyed immensely! Bought hoodies and souvenirs! Miss my DH and dog! I'll

1432 calories today.

Wow! So did you like the city? I hope it was nice! It’s so different than practically anywhere else on earth! Even for me, living in Queens, the city is such an exciting change of pace for me when I go. Nothing like it. I am lucky, I have friends who LIVE there. So I actually have people to meet there when I do go. There’s a 9/11 museum that I hope to also go to. Haven’t been there yet although I have been to the 9/11 area, since my friends live around there, multiple times. The food you are eating is from chain restaurants. Nothing special. If youwere to eat at a more wholesame, not a chain, type of place, I think you’d be more impressed. Well, despite the cruddy food, you have nice calories. Enjoy your time in the city that never sleeps. And Bohemia, right? You are stationed in Suffolk County, Long Island, right? Any questions about Long Island as a whole, ask me general stuff if you need to. I was brought up on LI. Lucky you, the weather is so warm compared with usual February temps.

In short, flying sucks regardless of your size! Was up at 3:15 to shower and get to the airport by 4:15 good thing too because it seemed like everyone was leaving Cleveland this morning and long lines from hell getting through security. Flight started boarding at 5:30.

I was stressing big time but asked for a seat belt extender anyway! Needed it by about an inch! I was in Baltimore at 6:40 where I stayed until 10:30. I did meet up with a coworker from Pittsburgh and we sat and ate breakfast. I had a egg, bacon English muffin...and we waited. There were five others on the flight to Long Island but we didn't go and ask everyone their name. We did find one other lady from Sterling,VA. We found the rest once we landed.

They took us to a pizza restaurant for lunch I had 1/2 a tomato, arugula and mozzarella sandwich. After just about fell asleep in the afternoon training. We were released at 4:00. Came back to the hotel and crashed. Had a pulled pork salad with avocados it was pretty good.

Wasn't happy with the calorie count 1956! What the what? Not a good way to start the month but neither is being away from home.

Tomorrow they said something about sightseeing...we will see.

Training starts early at 7:30 long full days!

Ran all over town today. My budget conscience husgand, I love him so much, we went to four different stores because each had different sales on stuff he wanted. We still spents lots of money though. And I have issues with paying Sam's club membership money to spend more money in that store, but DH is adament that he gets our money's worth throughout the year. He does most of the shopping so I'll just leave that alone!

I walked my dog! It was very humid and windy today, but totally doable! He sure enjoyed being outside, not that he can't go out anytime he wants (using his doggy door0 he is just nosy and wants to see everything in the neighborhood.

B: two pieces of whole grain toast

L: pizza from Sam's club

D: quinoa/wild rice mix, kale salad and shrimp scampi

S: iced vanilla latte - finally got some milk

Total calories for the day 1875, thanks to the pizza!

I've also had issues with my stomach today, I am attributing this to my trip tomorrow! I am all packed and ready to go I just really don't want to go! I will pull up my big girl pants and do what needs to be done. Flight leaves at 6:00, so we will be up long before the sun! I am scheduled to be in a meeting at 12:30 so tomorrow is going to be hella long!

I am cool with January! I finished off January 6 pounds less. I changed my eating habits and am hoping with the added exercise in February I will be able to drop some more weight. I just need to get through the first week, as I hate being in any kind of pain!

I posted everyday in the month of January - created my good habit!

Only went over my calories maybe three times.

If your calories are at 1875 for sure, then you are on track. That’s good calories for weight loss. Your husband sounds like he’s great with $. I am sure he saves a lot. For me, I am more concerned with convenience. I do what is most convenient for me in general. I do run around food shopping because I have favorite foods in different places but all relatively close to my apartment. As long as his running around is not a pain, it sounds smart to me! Yeah, because Sam’s Club is a bulk item wholesale place, everything adds up. If I had a family (or at least 2 people shopping together), I’d see it as worthwhile to go there. Wholesale items will last a long time because you buy so much at most. But of course buying wholesale is expensive whenever you go bc you are buying so much. It’s not useful for me because I only am buying for one person, myself. And too pricey. Your dinner sounds really good. I love kale salads! Did you buy it at Sam’s Club? My parents once bought a salad mix from Costco but I wasn’t very fond of it – too much added sugar (in the dressing) in my opinion.

We ate at the chinese buffee. DAMNIT! I ate lots of vegetables and chicken. I was doing OK, but had moose tracks ice cream for dessert. Ending the night with 1898 calories.

Came home and did about 25 minutes of the zumba, I think this is a bit advanced for me, I think I will go back to the WATP DVDs until I can move around better.

Went to bed about 10:30 but was back up at 12:45, fell asleep in the recliner until 4:15 and then went back to bed.

Alarm woke me up at 5:00, DH finially got up and out the door by 5:45, I didn't get up but was awake. I slept then until a wretched headache woke me up at 8:30. I went down stairs and ACK there is no milk, so no iced vanilla latte! I had toast for breakfast

It took me awhle to think about getting out of the house, I left at noon. I went to the library for the used book sale. DIdn't find anything I was looking for so headed out to k-mart. I was looking for something new, to take to NY with me, didn't have anything on my mind. I picked up two sweaters, a shirt and a pair of slacks and a new bra. I also picked up a few groceries as I had a taste for goulash.

Got back home and called my mom for the recipe and got the scoop on my sister and all my relatives and mom gave me the recipe. After I hung up I started dinner. Which was the goulash, mash potatoes, salad and the some dinner rolls.

Over did it with the bread today, because while at K-mart I ate some crazy bread from little caesars! I don't think things all the way through some times. I am not mad at myself though. After dinner I did walk Steve around the block. Ending the day with 1607 calories.

Tomorrow, I told DH I would go shopping with him and I will need to get the laundry finished and get my stuff packed. I am already in the nervous stage of this trip and my stomach is acting up already.

Your overall calories are good though!

Buffet isn't bad if you stick with tons of veggies. Instead of desert next time, maybe have a diet coke! or something low cal. or decaf coffee or something.

I also indulged last night. had 2200 cals which is much higher than I like lately for a daily average. BUT, by indulging a little bit & not going overboard to the extreme, it actually keeps me wanting to stay extra on track for the rest of the week!
