Weight: 107.4

Dinner feeding frenzy.   looks like a lotta food, but 20 fairly big fish in that tank.

Went out to back deck & scraped snow off railing for birdseed. Bold font unintentional.

Loving the LifeFitness bike, what a workout!   Easiest setting is a lot more strenuous than what I did  on the old bike.  Lowest setting burns ~240 cals per hour at a pace of ~55 RPM. Machine seems determined to maintain this calorie burn and if you slow down, it increases the resistance.  Putting some pressure on my right knee because of how it's angled out.   This is a big bike. Knee sore, so quit after 3 half hour sessions.  Will resume soon.   No idea what ligament, tendon or whatever is being stresssd, but experienced similar discomfort yesterday.   Whatever's going on, sure I'll adjust.

Matt said he can't peddle at level 16.   Think it goes to 25.   Must be for injuried linebackers.   LOL.  accommodates up to 400 pds, so Matt, me & all the dogs and cats & more could climb aboard.

Progress as of today: 27.6 lbs lost so far, only 2.4 lbs to go!

legcramps on 01/17/2022:
Ah LifeFitness, that's what we have at the Anytime Fitness gym here :) they ARE pretty awesome, aren't they?!

I wonder if your knee hurts because the seat is not high enough?

Jacky82020 on 01/17/2022:
Didn’t even know seat was adjustable! Thanks, all I’ve done is push it way forward. Seller over 6’ tall

Thanks, taking a look at operation manuals now. Guy found them at last minute. Assembly musta been a bitch from the looks of the one manual

bearcountrygg on 01/17/2022:
Maybe just work your way slowly into using the new one....with breaks using the older one.

Jacky82020 on 01/17/2022:
I am, sorta. Old one in guest room, crowded in by futon. Going on Craigslist soon, free to first caller who can remove it from driveway. Will put it out after I get a caller.

Very heavy snow here.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/17/2022:
sounds like a very durable, great new addition of a bike you have! i'm glad you are happy with it and that it was a good purchase!

Your fish are all so bright and pretty. that's what's great about a lot of these "pet fish" that people buy, they are a joy to look at.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/17/2022:
those fish look so cute, so helpless, so fragile! so beautiful!

Jacky82020 on 01/17/2022:
They are the best group! Bought tank, stands, lights filters etc from guy near NY border. $500. Woulda cost 1500 to2000 to put together . Got some really good deals on Craigslist, including Frankie & the new bike.

Having fun getting to know "new" 8 yr old bike. Seller says battery replaced in 2018 & good for a few more years.   he gave me a link to a $40 one that beats my $45 one, both on Amazon.   Very very sophisticated machine, so happy I got used gym quality bike vs home model

Resoved some issues with "new" 6 yr old Nikon DSLR. Thought it was also 8 yrs old, sellers says 6.  Had lots of trouble today with autofocus, something I won't be using on the fish, but would like for doggie snapshots etc.  Had to contact eBay seller.   Told me how to do factory resets to over ride his settings. He was using it for still shots on his YouTube channel & lucky for me not all that often, in excellent condition, a steal at $200.

Here's a test pic to  confirm autofocus issues fixed.   Many of the fish are nocturnal & hiding out in the ship now.

the photo is not uploading.   not sure if file is too big or what.   going to try uploading SS to test if file too big.

Progress as of today: 27.2 lbs lost so far, only 2.8 lbs to go!

Jacky82020 on 01/16/2022:
Yep, it was the file size, too much detail, exactly what I need for fish photography

Maria7 on 01/16/2022:
What a pretty fish tank! Love the ship. Have you thought about adding anymore decor, like a lighthouse, for example? That would be pretty on the side where the yellow fish is.

Jacky82020 on 01/17/2022:
Maybe a light house for the new tank that’s been on order since 11/21. Good idea! I like these guys to have swimming space

happy-1 on 01/16/2022:
Those look like very happy fish.

Jacky82020 on 01/17/2022:
LOL They are!

I keep the most spoiled happy animals this side of the Mississippi

Donkey on 01/17/2022:
Love the tank photo :-) Not only do I enjoy the fish and decor, but I also like the plants on top.

Glad you're continuing to learn to love your new bike! It's kind of like having a new family member, LOL...

Jacky82020 on 01/17/2022:
Thanks. The top plants are there for a reason. The submerged roots uptake nitrates in the water, by product of mostly fish poop that is toxic in high accumulations. Has to be monitored carefully in tank with 20 big fish.

legcramps on 01/17/2022:
Sounds like a cool bike! Enjoy getting to know it!

Jacky82020 on 01/17/2022:
Thanks. Very complex from what I’m used to, this commercial grade gym bike. Has a feature that allows one to connect it to a gym & fitness coaches, for the right price. Think I can skip that part. LOL Had upright bikes etc for decades, even when young & skinny

Matt figured out the resistance problem.  since it's not powered by electricity he figured it had a big-assed battery & either a generator or alternator that is recharged by regular use.   he also saw the battery online for $44.   This is a 6 volt battery.  He has 2 battery rechargers, but  both are 12 V.   Haven't priced the charger yet.   He rode the bike hard for about 1/2 hour & it's much easy for me to use now. Probably the first owner never replaced the battery.   Appears they need replacement every 5 years or so & this, having been used minimally for a commercial machine,  doesn't need it yet.

BUT!  Matt just saw in the owner's manual there is an optional electrical add on that eliminates the need for recharging by peddling, appears to target older and disabled people unable to maintain a steady rate & use bike daily.

Really thrilled, this same model goes for 2K refurbished at Amazon and much more at places that sell used gym equipment.   So far, an incredible buy at $650.

Got the bike!  OMG!   What a workout!  Display I have iPad on too far back for me to type, but I can read.   Will take some getting used to & learning how to work the ten thousand options.   So far, the easiest one I can find is quite strenuous.  Many flashing displays including very annoying beeps indicating you're slowing down.   when this happens, the peddles get even more difficult to turn, Matt thinks it thinks you're putting on brakes.   it's a high step to climb into the seat, like stepping over a barricade and one, at least someone as short as me, has to step down carefully. Something I'm actually used to from using step ladders so often.

all kinds of features like ways to connect to "cardiac entertainment videos and even personal trainers.   no video display but has USB connector, so looks like one could plug in a phone or tablet.  must have subscription services like Peloton.   That's a hard no!

Looks like the "easiest" workout is burning 230 Cals per hour.   You can set it for however many calories you want to burn in an hour (within reason) and it will adjust the resistance accordingly.

Progress as of today: 26.2 lbs lost so far, only 3.8 lbs to go!

bearcountrygg on 01/15/2022:
Wow...and it has a cup holder!!! Looks like it will be fun learning all of its options!!! Had to chuckle.....Matt thinks you are peddling so slow that it thinks you are putting on the brakes........

Jacky82020 on 01/15/2022:
LOL

Good thing it has cup holder since it sits high above the built-in dressers & it’s quite a stretch down . Bigger & taller & heavier than old bike

Donkey on 01/15/2022:
What a NICE bike!!!!! This is an older model - that is to say, when I belonged to the gym before this one, these were the bikes that they had. I loved the preprogrammed routines!

These are not the version of LifeFitness bikes that are currently at my gym, and I MUCH prefer what you have to the ones at the gym. Much MUCH more. You scored a good deal! I hope it works for you and serves you well.

Jacky82020 on 01/15/2022:
Yes, this bike is ~8 yrs old. I was initially afraid it had seen heavy commercial gym use or PT place or whatever as LifeFitness is a commercial line. But guy bought many many tickets & won it at work, only used by him & his wife & not all that much from the excellent condition. Looks new, some of the I used ones have worn seats and peddles. Even the peddle straps look new.

happy-1 on 01/15/2022:
I didn't like my Peloton subscription. It was weird to have the instructor not see you.

Jacky82020 on 01/15/2022:
I can imagine. I looked into a peloton before buying the Schwinn spinner, close in price, but Peloton wanted a monthly subscription fee to unlock most features, otherwise you only get a few, so passed on that one.

innerpeace on 01/15/2022:
Nice bike! Hope you adjust well.

Jacky82020 on 01/15/2022:
Thanks! I am determined to make it work!

Horn_of_plenty on 01/15/2022:
the new bike looks great, i def recognize the brand. a good deal for you. and since you are an avid home biker, i know you will put it to good use. you do not like to ride along with a video, etc?

Jacky82020 on 01/15/2022:
No, never watch videos daytimes at all. I read nonfiction & trade stocks.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/15/2022:
you did get some awesome shots of the fish below. very clear.

Jacky82020 on 01/15/2022:
Thanks. Those are the best I can get on the new iPad, not good enough. I bought the same Nikon 3200D this outstanding photographer has. Used on eBay for $200, good buy. About 8 years old. Hoping to get to his skill level. Many challenges, shooting through water, glass & getting the lighting right.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/15/2022:
300-600 is a ton for white glove service of the bike. shows that many people would prob get it; or do prob get it; because a lot of folks aren't going to put together their own bike. interesting.

so expensive tho!

Jacky82020 on 01/15/2022:
Yeah seems like could hire a local handyman or something. I did see the assembly instructions. The previous owner found the manuals. Sure Matt could have assembled it, with a lot cussing & yelling & groaning. LOL

Tried two new Pure Protein flavors & they weren't all that: Peanut Butter Cup & Marshmallow crisp.   Same 200 Cals & 20 G protein.   Will eventually finish them off, 12 per box.   After 2 weeks, I'm getting tired of all this sweetness  & will cut back.  Time to put soy beans in the crockpot.   Had them for month off & on, usually with sautéed cabbage.   Will strick with Normandy Blend this time around,  no slicing & 5 vegetables, has to be equally if not more nutritious than the cabbage.   Continue to find the 99 cents Walmart hot sauce the best for the beans & vegetables.  Low sodium & hot enough.

I've been working on learning fish photography the last few months, a difficult subject to do well.   Most people in the fish forums use cells & most get ok but flat pics, lacking depth of field.   Some of the newer pricey cells have 3 lens now that are very good, but I want a real camera for fish. I was really into photography years ago, thanks to the exhusband & know the difference between phone shots & DSLR pics.   Even phone landscape & other subjects just don't cut it for me, but they are easy & nicer than what older home use film cameras ever did.

I'm getting a used Nikon D3200 today from eBay.   Very excited!   This is the same cam used by a man in a fish forum who has by far & away the best shots.   Of course it will take me a while to develop his skill level.

here's some pics from my new Gen 9 IPad.   The best a single lens device can do, but not good enough.

Progress as of today: 26.2 lbs lost so far, only 3.8 lbs to go!

jacky82020 on 01/14/2022:
Weirdness in one photo! I’m afraid I’ll delete everything if I attempt to remove it. In the 1.5 years that I’ve used DD, I’ve observed a slow but steady decline. No idea if its days are numbered or if it can muddle along forever.

bearcountrygg on 01/14/2022:
In the past I was able to remove pics that didn't work out well by going back in and using the scissors icon on it...and the rest of the page stayed there just fine...but of course you would be taking a risk......you could practice it by opening a new post ....adding a pic and then practicing removing it with the scissors that way...then deleting that post when you are done.

jacky82020 on 01/14/2022:
Thanks, but I really don’t care if a pic uploads wrong at DD. I’d be embarrassed in a fish forum because some of those guys are getting spectacular shots with their 3 lens phones or DSLR cameras.

The new Gen 9 IPad is doing a little better than my older iPads, but still has a single lens. The people I’m seeing with the best phone pics are using the new iPhone 13 or a Google Pixel. I have a cheap Motorola phone, ok for outside shots or dogs, but the fish are difficult because you’re shooting through glass & water & they move.

bearcountrygg on 01/14/2022:
The fish are beautiful and your tak g=looks pristine...very nice.

jacky82020 on 01/14/2022:
Thanks, Bear!

bearcountrygg on 01/14/2022:
^^^^^^^That should have said TANK.....

Donkey on 01/14/2022:
Ooo, I'm glad to hear you're planning to invest in a camera (and not using a cell phone or tablet camera). I have a friend who did just that, and she takes amazing pictures.

jacky82020 on 01/14/2022:
Oh, I've had good cameras for decades. Really into photography once, exhusband’s dad staff photographers for big Chicago newspaper. We had a home darkroom, blacked out the kitchen.

But my best camera is a Canon DSLR that dates back to 2005. “New” cam is a good 10 years younger. Should arrive in mail today.

legcramps on 01/14/2022:
here fishy, fishy... beauties!

jacky82020 on 01/14/2022:
Thanks! I really love Tom, the big catfish. Over 6” long. Very graceful & acrobatic, spins around & floats on his back

Maria7 on 01/14/2022:
Beautiful fish! What kind is the one on the bottom photo?

jacky82020 on 01/14/2022:
a big catfish native to Africa, Synodontis Eupterus. My favorite fish. Over 6 inches long.

Horn_of_plenty on 01/15/2022:
i want to come later back yo your entries, but those two fish (grayish and yellow) are so cute, it looks like they are kissing awwwww (even tho prob not!)

Really excited about new recumbent bike!   New to me that is.   Found used on Craigslist.   LifeFitness 95RI.  $850, seller saying $3500 new.   Did much research.   It's a commercial gym bike, many bells & whistles etc.  Seller won it in a work raffle.   works at big company now owned by GE.   This bike sells for 2K refurbished at Amazon & is a discontinued model.  Was indeed $3500 new.  Bargained him down to $650.   He's about 30 minutes away & we'll pick it up Saturday morning.  learned new word while researching the bike, "white glove service."   Means carry into house & assemble, running $300-600 on this bike.  OMG!   for that much money I'd expect a good massage and a 7 course gourmet dinner thrown in.   Maybe thorough housecleaning & yard work.   LOL

Progress as of today: 26.8 lbs lost so far, only 3.2 lbs to go!

bearcountrygg on 01/13/2022:
Looks like a nice one.

jacky82020 on 01/13/2022:
It will be, I’m sure. Had no idea they even made such pricey recumbent bikes, but it is intended for heavy use in a gym or PT facility. Can accommodate people up to 400 pds. That guy or his wife must have really wanted this, said he bought numerous tickets.

Only thing I ever won in a raffle was a pair of football tickets for the Buffalo Bills. Did it to support VFD, no interest in this NY team. Gave them to a retarded young man & his dad, big fans. They said they had the best time ever & gave me lots of pics from the game. The kid looked so happy!

jacky82020 on 01/13/2022:
Supposedly has extra comfortable padded back & seat. Exactly what I need! Shows no signs of wear in closeup photos.

How I wish this was so!  barely burned half those calories

Progress as of today: 26.8 lbs lost so far, only 3.2 lbs to go!

happy-1 on 01/12/2022:
LOL... Those stats imply you need emergency attention!

jacky82020 on 01/13/2022:
LOL. They are not real. My Fitbit takes a bike peddle to be a step & it’s a lot easier. No way I burned all those calories! Half at best.

I’ve never found calorie counts to be realistic on any device except for walking/jogging. There a mile = 100 Cals burned.

bearcountrygg on 01/13/2022:
You've been busy! LOL

jacky82020 on 01/13/2022:
Not exactly. Sit on my buttocks on the bike & read. Do my stock market thing. Need to go downstairs & use the gym & treadmill a lot more, but do use dumbbells here upstairs.

Maria7 on 01/13/2022:
Good for you!

jacky82020 on 01/13/2022:
Thanks!

Donkey on 01/13/2022:
Even if you burned half, that's about right, with a lower calorie intake. Maybe I'm wrong about that... IDK, don't mind me. This morning, I feel like what Maria said yesterday, "rowing in circles".

jacky82020 on 01/13/2022:
I think half may be on the optimistic side, but I love it! So let’s stick with that. LOL

Are you getting cal counts on your bike? How are they, say per hour or half hour? Never liked ones on mine & the display is covered by the iPad rack Matt made me.

Weight up for no obvious reason & I don't really care.   Will when it approaches 115.  want stay  in middle to low range of the 99-127 they say is good for my height.

The winner in the Protein Bar competition is Pure Protein Chocolate Delux: 180 Cals. 21 G protein, 4.5 fat, & 17 carbs.  enriched with lots of vits.   did go shopping for other PP flavors & shocked to see some tempting ones at double to triple the price.  ain't going there.   no more Aldi bars for me, too much corn syrup bringing some bars up to 100 cal over PP.   Lucky for me, never been any side effects whatsoever from artificial sugars.

Thanks again, Donk, for directing me to Aldi, maker of my now favorite snack, the yogurt dipped pretzels in the tiny 100 cal bags, like anyone eats one.   I'm wiping out half the box watching TV nights. Great price, 6 for $1.29, not bad analysis for what the are.

Loser was the Aldi Sweet & Salty bats.   Neither sweet or salty IMO.   Look like peanuts & oatmeal jammed into a bar with corn syrup.   Broke them into little pieces & made some wild  birds very happy in these here wintry woods.

Progress as of today: 26.8 lbs lost so far, only 3.2 lbs to go!

bearcountrygg on 01/11/2022:
Good thing that you found the faves...you sure had a lot to choose from.

Jacky82020 on 01/11/2022:
Sure did! The birds will also get the bland Aldi bars. Some said caramel & macadamia nuts & all I saw were the peanuts & oatmeal. Very dry. Of that batch the chocolate mint were the best. I like chocolate mint everything

legcramps on 01/11/2022:
I used to drink pure protein shakes, have you tried those? Actually, in all honesty I only added some to my morning coffee, so in reality it took me a week just to finish one shake. They were ok though, until they started bothering my stomach. But, I also prefer chewing my food rather than drinking it.

Jacky82020 on 01/11/2022:
I have many boxes of protein drinks here. Have I used them for many years. Add to coffee everyday & drink off & on as is. Current brand is Costco close out from Ollie’s. Same as Premier Protein & Walmart equivalent

Donkey on 01/12/2022:
Thank you for the recap :-) I will remember Pure Protein the next time I am shopping for a protein bar (which happens from time to time, especially when traveling). Hmm... Actually, right now, I'm using protein shakes (Equate from Walmart) after weight training. I wonder if I should try switching to a protein bar. Might be a nice change-up, and I much prefer to chew rather than to drink.

Jacky82020 on 01/12/2022:
I switched from Premier Protein to Equate as soon as Walmart came out with the equivalent protein drink. This Costco brand, cheap at Ollie’s, is the same.

I always kept Pure Protein bars in my purse when I worked. Back in the day when they averaged 40O cal & 40 G protein each. So weird they are all half size now & the same price. Sometimes had 2 a day. But drinks good too. I like mine hot with sugar free syrup, usually caramel, mint or hazelnut

horn_of_plenty on 01/12/2022:
weight does fluctuate, it's good you ahve a range, that's the only way.

i am thinking to buy yogurt dipped pretzels too; when i'm out of my current snacks.

Jacky82020 on 01/12/2022:
Try the $1.29 six pack of 100 cal if there’s an Aldi near you. Excellent

Maria7 on 01/12/2022:
Wishing you a happy day.

happy-1 on 01/13/2022:

Well, Dang!  long post failed.  won't try again now, maybe later.   Discussed winners & losers in protein/snacks.   posted pic Matt just took of me as part of a collection of pics I'm working on, mostly of my fish & pets for friends & fam.   Printing them up on my printer on glossy photo paper.

Progress as of today: 27.8 lbs lost so far, only 2.2 lbs to go!

bearcountrygg on 01/10/2022:
Always nice to see who we are talking too!!! You giving the fish a bath???

Jacky82020 on 01/10/2022:
LOL, that’s to wipe algae off the glass.

OK, let’s see a pic of you that isn’t decades old. Pretty please?

Donkey on 01/11/2022:
Oh don't you hate it when you write a (long) post and then *blip* - it's gone.

Beautiful picture of your fish! And it's so nice to see a little bit of you :-) I like the idea of your picture collection for family & friends. That's a good idea!!!

Jacky82020 on 01/11/2022:
Thanks!

Had trouble with the printer today after none yesterday. No idea what’s wrong. Ordered 100 sheets more of 4x6 photo paper, have some 5x7s here. $10 best price on the paper, so a dime a sheet. Looked at Walmart & it says they do 4x6s for 9 cents. Will call to confirm, but if so, I will make many copies for more people. The Walmart prices went up steeply for > 4x6.

Haven’t done paper pics in a long time, but recall 15 cent sales at CVS & RiteAid, so thought Walmart would be closer to 50 cents a pop by now. I see many people bringing in flash drives to the Walmart photo center & printing their own.. Will have to see if that’s also 9 cents,

Another article saying the covid virus targets fat cells.   Obesity long known to be #1 risk factor for people <60

Hit lowest weight in many years, 107.8!     This not a lifelong low, always 100-105 in late teens & twenties.   This weight makes me feel peppy & energetic.

Thw WW scale arrived, but I've been too busy with tank  projects to set it up.   I watched the nocturnal pink salamanders a few nights on a wildlife cam connected to the iPad and confirmed the male is after the girl constantly and she never gets any rest.   She spawns constantly & I'm reading all this can stress a female to death, so I set up a new 20 G tank and seperated her from the male.   All this took hours.

Had to return to Walmart for a few forgotten items.   So starving that I ate nearly half a container of cherry tomatoes in the car on the way home.

Love articles like this that say best to do as I am doing!

Those cherry tomatoes...we eat a lot of those here too......WOW...a new low weight!!!! Happy for you.....Have fun setting your new scale up!!!!

Jacky82020 on 11/28/2021:
We just did it! I’m 4 people now! LOL. Almost positive it has algorithms for all the metrics except fat, based upon weight & age. It is going to assume 80 yr me lost bone & muscle mass & 20 yr. old me is mightier. Idk really.

Donkey on 11/28/2021:
Oh my, what an adventure with your fish tanks! I hope the separation helps your girl.

Wow, congratulations on your new low!!!!! I'm happy for you - happy, proud, impressed! :-)

Thank you for sharing the short article on COVID & obesity. Being obese seems to put a body behind the 8-ball in so many situations :-(

Jacky82020 on 11/28/2021:
Thanks, Donk.

She was out in the open last night. vs cowering in a hide, Yay!

So much of what ails us is lifestyle.

happy-1 on 11/28/2021:
I don’t get why we don’t treat childhood obesity as a sign of neglect. It impacts us as adults so much… can’t ever make up that health impact as an adult.

Jacky82020 on 11/28/2021:
Interfering with parental rights/choices is highly problematic. I’d imagine pediatricians counsel parents & it mostly falls upon deaf ears.

I know fat kids who lost it & are fine. I’m married to one & he is an incredible fitness buff, strenuous cardio & weights.

good eats on Friday and nice job working on eating better. sometimes it takes the body a few days to regulate itself before losing weight, especially if you start your weight loss plan after high cal days, your body has to burn all that off first!

Your axie caves are sounding creative. i want to see more of your axie pics.

also, please post a pic of your new WW scale...

I cannot believe your stores weren't crowded on black friday. i was not interested in going out on that day.

Horn_of_plenty on 11/28/2021:
.8 loss is a lot. nice job sticking with your goals.

I want photos of all your new fitness spree/gifts to yourself that you talk about in these entries with your review after you use them!

you know, i hadn't looked at your weight until this entry, wow,you lost a few pounds so quickly. opposite of my style! :) I was just around 100-105 in my teens but then got into disordered eating and screwed up my always being in the 10th percentile 10% for weight as a kid based on my height. starting senior year of high school i think i gained like 10lbs almost. i think i was like 110 at prom, compared to starting the year at like 103. I was maybe even heavier before prom by a couple pounds, not sure. gained my weight thru sweets, cookies, cereals lol. then gained more thru college first two years! then got back on track but lost it too quickly and lost my "TOM" for like 2 years.

it's good you could snack on cherry tomatoes, lol...will read your articles soon. it's good to find support of your lifestyle, agreed.

for what i do, i just know whenver i want to really indulge, to find the veggies, lol. but i also love all my snacky foods. currently i'd say i'm low protein / less protein. such a far cry from my 20's to early 30's when i was heavy on the low carb but also binged a lot on carbs during my heavy years.

Jacky82020 on 11/28/2021:
I can lose a pound a week when I work at it. Had to laugh when the PCP said don’t lose more than 2 a week. Never could! And he said don’t go under a 100. Probably couldn’t if I wanted to & don’t. The normal weight range for my slight stature is 100-127.

Losing a pound a week generally involves eating ~1000 calories a day & burning off half.

How fast did you lose & how thin did you get? I’ve only ever heard of anorexics losing TOM & some elite athletes who maintain weights way below their normal range.

Is that top ic of the girl thinking she had better just hide out in the cave in case tht BOY comes back....or is it the boy pouting? LOL....Where did you ever find that dog toy????

Jacky82020 on 11/28/2021:
LOL! She doesn’t trust him not to escape the tank next door & climb in hers.

Found axie on Amazon! Where else!

Horn_of_plenty on 11/28/2021:
lol, you even have a plush axie for your pups, that's adorable!

Jacky82020 on 11/28/2021:
It’s for me. LOL. They’d have it destroyed in under an hour.

Horn_of_plenty on 11/28/2021:
the real pink axie is adorable!

Jacky82020 on 11/28/2021:
Isn’t she sweet? Boy looks identical.

Horn_of_plenty on 11/28/2021:
yeah, how in the world did you find the plush axie!?

Jacky82020 on 11/28/2021:
Amazon of course!

bearcountrygg on 11/28/2021:
Awwwww...She is so cute....if I was her...I wouldn't trust him either!!!

Jacky82020 on 11/28/2021:
Sally says 1 year of marriage is enough to last a life time!

Horn_of_plenty on 11/29/2021:
i think i went from around 130 down to 110 or approx a little lower in under a year. also i did a lot of low fat, not enough fat. i remember my hair got a little brittle. i just did it wrong and too fast / not a great diet. it was my first time ever losing a bit of weight. i was always thin as a kid, gained due to lots of overeating from ages 17-19, then progrssed to lose it from 20 that college year...from like sept-May i lost the 20lbs at least, prob closer to 25. for my body, it was too fast. Also i was doing lots of exercise.

Jacky82020 on 11/30/2021:
20 pounds in < a year is not a rapid weight loss for a woman of your size going from high average to lower average, I’m 5’1” & the typical range is 100-127. So I have stepped onside normal. but never by much.

I suspect other factors were in play. I’ve never heard of such extreme reactions as those you describe. And I’ve personally known or known of hundreds & hundreds of people losing weight.

That said, everyone is different & your metabolism may very well require very gradual changes. Doesn’t much matter now. You have mastered the arts of healthy eating & exercise & won’t ever go beyond your current excellent weight. You’ll be like the Blue Zone folks & live a long disease free life. You have found inner strength. Go HoP!

Horn_of_plenty on 11/29/2021:
and between the losses, of course i was bingeing here and there. it wasn't just a loss all right away - prob all of sept and october was steps forward, then backwards. got a real handle on it by mid semester!

Jacky82020 on 11/30/2021:
Yay! You resolved it quickly!

Maria7 on 11/30/2021:
Congratulations to you and hope you have a happy day.

Jacky82020 on 11/30/2021:
Thanks! Hope your days go well too,

Horn_of_plenty on 11/30/2021:
the loss was a shock to my body. went to spluging for 2 years to severely limiting food. many 1200 days. my body wasn't used to it, so it was a shock to my body, reason for the loss of period, etc. i'm sure there are other young woman this happens to. plus i did lots of cardio....it was just all slightly overdone when my body wasn't used to it.

Jacky82020 on 11/30/2021:
Like a great man once said All’s well that ends well! You’re doing great!
