Weight: 196.7

OHHHH, yesterday was a foodwise day, one of the best days this year. Haven't done any exercise though, but I'm going to build in something smooth, Pilates or the Yoga moves I received from loveray (THANKS AGAIN!!!!!!)

The problem is the cold weather still, our home is like a medieval castle and I don't feel like moving at home, I feel like staying in bed most of the time, or on the sofa with blankets covering my body from head to toes... Well, I hope it changes soon.

I had an individual tennis training today, LOL.... GREAT! :-) I wasn't in a good shape though, my muscles were trickening me, felt so tired in the arms the whole time... Somehow I missed gym, but it's raining already so tomorrow I'll have it for sure, instead of tennis. Wish it could be gym AND tennis, LOL. Today I still have a French class and badminton training at night, yuppeyay!!!

Yesterday I cleaned the shelves and I found looooots of expired food. Whole toasts, low fat cocoa powder, cereals,... everything, LOL! I'm terrible. Well, for some things I don't really care about expiration dates (like cocoa powder, for Christ's sake... ). For the fun of it: I've also found a pack of chewing gums expired in 2008... EHEHEHEHE....

Tomorrow I'm scheduled to eat out w/ man. Someone suggested a Nepalese restaurant to him, and he wants to try so he asked me out, yayyy... :-) Well, Nepalese are not known as fat so I'm confident to find some healthy stuff there.

Today's menu:

06H00 - a slice of rye bread w/ LF soy margarine and a yellow pepper, banana soy milk (almost over!!!) (400 kcal)

10H00 - LF milk w/ coffee (100 kcal)

12H30 - veggie soup, boiled chicken legs (argh, I know I shouldn't eat these but I looooove them!!!!) w/ salad and a half orange 600 kcal

16H00 - LF milk w/ coffee, an apple, a LF yogurt (250 kcal)

19H00 - an orange

23H30 - veggie soup

Grand total: 1800 kcal

My parents are known for keeping food for too long. They forget it exists so it just collects dust in the pantry and turns green/black in the fridge. Everytime I go home, I do a massive clean out for them because I believe that part of the reason why they get sick so often is because they're unknowingly eating rotten food, lol. They find this habit of mine annoying, but I'd like to consider it as my way of saving their lives. :-)

Glad you had a great food day yesterday. Keep it up young lady!!

sweetpea1977 on 01/10/2011:
Yea, I know. I try to make sure Im getting a good deal before committing to an item. I do lots of price comparison shopping by looking at the items next to the sales items that Im intersted in purchasing. And if it isnt advertized as it was in their sales ad, I will show them the ad and they will give me the discount. :) It pays to be a super conscious shopper.

I saw your post in the forum. Im not sure if she will be able to do that. If not, we can have our members advertise it at the top of our entries. Unfortunately, the only way for people to join is to have current members invite the non-members who also have to have a FB account already set up. I dont think there is a link that we post directly to the group page since its a secret group.

Umpqua on 01/10/2011:
I'm glad you had a good food day! I try to keep up on expired and spoiled food since my older son now goes into the fridge on his own to get snacks. Most dry goods don't get a chance to expire around here though, we go through cereal, crackers etc. super fast. Have a good one!

V on 01/10/2011:
bonjour aimerions rencontrer à Londres air marrant LOl!!! Just don't eat the moldy bread Kat weird thing will happen!!! LOl You obviously haven't cleaned out your cabinets in a while ;) I hope you get warm!

legcramps on 01/10/2011:
I do the same thing - I have to clean out my fridge and cupboards every so often because there's always something that's expired. Love the chewing gum expiry date - funny! Have a great day today :)

liza36 on 01/10/2011:
Congratulations on your newest, lowest weight! Under 200 pounds - you are amazing!! Stay warm in your new size L pajamas.

chidogs on 01/10/2011:
Keep warm. Ah yes, the mystery meals in the back of the refrigerator. I just tossed some soup cans out that expired 2 years ago. Good thing because the hubs never reads the dates on things. Green bread he will recognize. :) Take care.

chidogs on 01/10/2011:
Hee, exotic to look at, nasty to taste. :)

V on 01/10/2011:
I am not sure if I will be able to get the time off because of season(it is super busy) but it is in APRIL (Easter weekend) he plays all over the world though and i might have to go at a later date, all of the info is posted on Sunday's post with dates and location, Ibiza would be fun too ;) We would have so much fun!!!

moogy on 01/10/2011:
I always smile when I read your posts, they are always so full of all the exercise you are doing. Your life revolves around fitting it in, finding people to play with, paying for the sport and you are looking fabulous for all the effort!!:)

lifestylechange on 01/10/2011:
yay on your food day yesterday :) kudos to you!!

Sofia on 01/10/2011:
I am one of the worst packrats on the planet, which I get from my dad, so I feel your pain. Nepalese food is really good, very similar to Indian but heartier, so its nice in the wintertime. Speaking of winter, its currently 60' here in Fl. Just thought you might like to know :P

To answer your question, Tai Chi is a martial art, but done in slow motion. Very relaxing and easy on the joints. I used to know a whole routine series but I forgot and have to relearn it. :)

loveray on 01/09/2011:
well i would suggest some gentle back bends for strengthening the spine, core work to strengthen the front body and then some forward bends and sun salutations to begin to stretch the spine and make it more supple. i can send you a few suggestions on fb if you like!

I knowwwwww! He loves his soda and has actually cut back from what he used to drink. He drinks 1 a day, sometimes 2 when he has rum and cokes LOL... but I agree with you am not a fan of soda either. I like gingerale for upset tummys and sometimes a rootbeer float once in a blue moon but that's about it.

Hello Girls!

Fast log:

Badminton was perfect yesterday, even w/ TOM. Today TOM's gone and I've been to Pilates, swimming and hydrogymnastics already. Today I felt like a rock at Pilates... Susana, the prof told me to practice at home, because my lumbar zone is not flexible enough. LOVERAY: any suggestions??? I really need to gain more flexibility, I don't want to feel like a rock, nor like slime mold.... GRRR...

Today's menu:

08H30 - a slice of rye bread toasted w/ LF cheese and banana soy milk (wish it'd have gone already, but I still have some!) - 400 kcal

13H30 - chicken biriani w/ salad and indian bread (800 kcal)

15H00 - MF milk w/ coffee (100 kcal)

18H30 - an orange, apple and pear w/ a LF yogurt (300 kcal)

Grand total: 1600 kcal

Progress as of today: 124.7 lbs lost so far, only 46.5 lbs to go!

geevee on 01/08/2011:
Your flexibility will increase with weight loss. When I first started yoga, there were a number of asanas I either couldn't do or wasn't very good at. Looking at photos in a yoga book, I realized I was looking for the impossible. I persisted tho, and slowly, each week as my body got used to trying these new positions, I improved. Eventually, as the weight came off, I improved a lot and got good at asanas that previously I couldn't do. However, there still are positions that to this day, I will NEVER be good at.

Umpqua on 01/08/2011:
Maybe there are some stretches you could do at home to try to improve your flexibility? I bet Loveray will have good advice for you. Look at all that exercise, you go!

chidogs on 01/08/2011:
You go. That is all I can say. I aspire to do as much as you are doing now. For now, all I can do is walk, and a short running in place. Pinched nerve in my back won't let me do anything bending or twisting. I am going to get back into Tai Chi Chuan soon.

moogy on 01/08/2011:
With your determination I am sure you will be able to reach any goal you want to including being flexible. Have a good day Kathy:)

V on 01/08/2011:
Hi Kathy!!! I hope you have a wonderful day!

missdetermined on 01/08/2011:
Dearest Kathy, you look simply amazing in your recent photos, and so happy too! I am so very happy for you!

It touched me to find your comment on my last entry that you missed me. I fell off the wagon unfortunately, but am now on a rigid but enjoyable new diet that has been working very well for me.

Look at you, girl! Exercising and eating right, good for you! I wish you best of luck in losing your remaining pounds to be lost.

Love the comment about eating mostly plants, that's funny!

Keep up the wonderful work!

Hello, sweet girls, have a nice Friday!

I have a suggestion, YouTube this: "Owl City - Saltwater Room". The music is so good, especially for a Friday... the dude must be on drugs though, but... the music... it's so sweet! :-)

I've been to the gym already! The treadmill was washed again - it is washed every day. Stupid cleaning ladies, really. I most probably will file a complaint, but I don't want to cause them hard times... the sport complex's structure is changing this year. It belongs to the Portuguese state now, but they want to reduce costs and they will get rid of the complex. The future is uncertain now - I'm concerned a bit because now I don't pay any taxes because it's statal but if they change, the new owner will have to charge 23% vat, that means 90 EUR + 23%. A lot of money in question, as you can see.

Moogy, you were right about badminton vs. family sushi dinner. Yesterday my man had an outburst on the topic. He was hoping I would prefer a family gathering to a badminton training. He says his family is my family (true) and I should love them more than I love the badminton which I have three times a week and a family gathering is ocassional. True... but well, I'm like this, I can't help it. First of all, I'm paying for the badminton trainings. So, I should go. Every time I miss a training of something (badminton, tennis, gym, hydro, Pilates, etc.) I feel sort of GUILTY because I'm waisting my money, paying and not going. I can't help it, really! And he feeds this guilt as well, when I feel like sleeping instead of going to the gym, he barks at me, half sleeping/half awaken, saying that I shouldn't sleep, waste of money, etc. etc. See?! Who does understand this guy... or any?!

Well, ZEN....: today I still have a badminton training, yuppeyayy!!!! :-)

Today's menu:

06H00 - banana soy milk w/ Nestlé Fitness cereals (350 kcal)

10H00 - LF milk w/ coffee (100 kcal)

12H40 - veggie soup (200 kal), grilled chicken w/ raw tomatoes (400 kcal)

16H00 - LF milk w/ coffee,  a smaller banana with a LF yogurt (200 kcal)

20H00 - a LF yogurt (60 kcal)

23H30 - veggie soup, a loooot... yummy :) (300 kcal)

Grand total: 1700 kcal

Note: I don't have any pains, the fall on Wed. and the other on Thurs. didn't cause me any harm! I feel great - despite of having TOM.

Update on weighing in: no weigh in til TOM goes away.

Progress as of today: 124.7 lbs lost so far, only 46.5 lbs to go!

V on 01/07/2011:
I don't see how suggestively telling the person who runs the gym the dangers/repercussions when the cleaning ladies do this, it is a law suit waiting to happen, just my opinion! As far as your bf, well as much as it will be a shock to hear this coming from me but sometimes you have to give a little when it comes to his family vs your workouts...I guess it is a small price to pay for the sake of your relationship, it is only one day he is asking you to set aside(right?) Is there some way that you could go to badminton earlier? That way you both get what you want :) I totally understand your point though(I always feel horrible if I don't get my workout in) It is all about ME Me Me!! i guess that is why I am single...LOL Love you, don't stress out!

Umpqua on 01/07/2011:
Sorry you're having a conflict with the man. Is it possible to do both things? Shift the schedule so you can do badminton and the family gathering? I hope you have a great weekend!

Umpqua on 01/07/2011:
It's just a thick, creamy soup. There's no actual cream in this soup, just very thick and yummy. I think lobster bisque is my absolute favorite soup :)

V on 01/07/2011:
Me Me Me!!! :) I love the sound of it! I know you do!

just42day on 01/07/2011:
Yes, winter must be the culprit as I know that's definitely not like you to be struggling. At least you continue to get in fabulous exercise so you need more calories than I do. I know we both can do better. :)

panda22 on 01/07/2011:
Yikes, sorry to hear those cleaning ladies are making the treadmills unsafe! That really is not good at all, and you would think the gym owner would want to avoid the lawsuit if someone fell and really hurt themselves badly! Oh gosh the badminton vs. family outing situation is a tough one. I can understand both sides since I've been on both sides in that type of thing before. I know how you feel paying for the training and it being something you love and don't want to miss. I also know how important it is to spend time with your significant other and their family once in awhile. Maybe talking with your man and compromising will help. Glad you are feeling good, even though TOM is visiting you....definitely agree with your decision not to weigh during TOM...I think it's pointless and ends up making us feel bad since we gain water weight during it sometimes. Well hope you have a great day and weekend!

chidogs on 01/07/2011:
Hi there. I agree with the others, the tredmill situation needs to be reported just for safety sake. And in a nice, non accusing way, like the cleaning ladies don't know how dangerous it is, so please tell them. The family dinner thing, well, I tend to lean towards going since it is only one night. Now if he asks for more that is a different story. Maybe you can get a credit for a night missed on badminton. Family peace is a priority and you don't want to come over bad with his people. You want to shine like the star you are! Hugs.

sweetpea1977 on 01/07/2011:
I agree with everyone, report safety hazard to management. The last thing they want is to get sued for an injury on a slippery treadmill!

Perhaps there is a way to do both badminton and the family dinner. Your man needs to realize that missing badminton is wasting money, just like those days that you choose to listen to your body and skip the gym. If he can get his family to schedule the dinner so you can attend both, that would seem like a good solution to me.

moogy on 01/07/2011:
Give up on trying to understand a man. I know that you love your sport but some things are more important (hard to believe I know) and family is one of them. I think that next time, grit your teeth and go on the family thing. Some things do not have a price on them and love is one of them. Good luck Kathy.

Morning, Girlies! :-)

I had a great badminton night yesterday, despite of a fall on my knees but I handled that at home and have no pain, nor other symptoms today! I've been to the gym, with 2nd-day TOM... went well, despite of a fall (yeah, I'm rather unlucky this week as it seems) on the threadmill because of the slippery shoes and the cleaning ladies who WASH the threadmill's walking part. Stupid thing to do, my opinion...

I'm developing a headache (TOM...) now, and I'll be laying low, working, then rush home and rest for tomorrow's gym & badminton challenge, LOL. I want to go to Decathlon (sporting goods) cause I need some more longsleeves and jogging shoes... and they are on SALE. :-) I'll look around, first thing on Sunday morning!

Today's menu:

06H00 - 1 slice of toasted rye bread w/ LF cheese cream, banana soy milk (350 kcal)

10H00 - LF milk w/ coffee (100 kcal)

11H00 - a pear (80 kcal)

12H30 - veggie soup (200 kcal), pasta w/ chicken breast and tomatoes and an orange (500 kcal)

15H30 - LF milk w/ decaf (50 kcal)

18H00 - two slices of Bolo Rei (400 kcal) <--- WRONG, but today is the Day of the Kings (Dia dos Reis) and the colleagues brought 2 cakes. Well, it has nuts so it has parts worth to eat but ... it's a sweet. And I couldn't stop at the first slice AGAIN. By the way, small triumph is that I could avoid two other cakes of the same (Bolo Rei) yesterday after badminton. One of the guys there took two, accompanied with champaigne and Coca-Colas and Toblerone chocolates and I resisted very well...

20H00 - fruits and veggie soup

Grand total: 2000 kcal

Progress as of today: 124.7 lbs lost so far, only 46.5 lbs to go!

V on 01/06/2011:
Good morning beautiful! Somehow slopping water on a treadmill seems wrong wrong wrong! You must be careful, in fact I would take a towel from the gym and dry off the surface before getting on that death trap, lol As a lion you know we always pounce back after getting knocked over, just wait til you are an old broad in your late 30's like me, my bounce back is not what it used to be! LOL Love you :)

I can feel the excitement for tomorrow's activities... stay well, keep the headache away by drinking lots of water!

Kathyblue + Drivers License = Alot of honking your horn, I can see you now, outta my way drivers I am coming through! loveray on 01/06/2011:

Good morning, Girls!

Today I let myself sleep, haven't been to Pilates. I planned to visit today's class at 7h30, have never been on Wednesdays yet. Looks like this Wednesday is not the first time either, lol... I woke up well, dressed up, ate, and then... ZzzZzZzZ on the sofa. When I woke up it was already to late to catch the bus, so I got undressed and rushed back to bed. No regrets, tonight I'll have BADMINTON again.

"Good news" is, the Friday dinner was cancelled because a colleague had an accident at home (burnt herself) and will be held later in February maybe. So I'm going to have badminton on Friday!

Today's menu:

06H00 - banana soy milk (BLAGH!) w/ Nestlé Fitness cereals (400 kcal)

10H00 - LF milk w/ coffee (100 kcal)

12H30 - veggie soup (200 kcal), white rice w/ grilled liver and Brussels Sprouts (400 kcal), tomatoes (50 kcal)

16H00 - LF milk w/ coffee, an orange and a toast (180 kcal)

nita51 on 01/05/2011:
What you said is SO true, It sure feels like other illnesses come to surface, since I've gotten the Flu. I'll be sure to take your advise about the vitamins. Hopefully, it will speed up my recovery. Thanks Sis. Glad you're getting some rest, Sometimes I worry that you push yourself a little too hard. Rest up for a great Badminton day,,,this Friday. Love you

Horn_Of_Plenty on 01/05/2011:
haha, i just read your comment. unfortunately i don't see mr. portuguese as often as i'd like...he's generally at the gym earlier than when i go. BUT, maybe tonight i'll catch him...he's still a visual motivation for me when i'm there!

the stories you tell about you and your husband are wonderful. it is so special that you were able to talk so often and learn so much about each other before being intimate.

lifestylechange on 01/05/2011:
days like today... coffee is definitely a good "friend" lol :) have a great day girly!

moogy on 01/05/2011:
Sounds like your body needed a rest. Well done for a day in bed, we all need one of those occasionally. Good news about the dinner.

V on 01/05/2011:
Love ya!

chidogs on 01/05/2011:
I love those kinds of days! They don't come often enough. Glad you enjoyed it. And badminton too. Glad you don't have to face the dinner, but sorry your coworker got hurt! Take care.

teensybikini on 01/05/2011:
No worries. I do the same. Since Im in school I get up and go back to bed all the time (my classes are typically in the evening). That also helps me from overeating when bored.

Definitely, life IS GETTING BACK to NORMAL! I had tennis today!!!! :-)) YAYYYYY, and it was an individual training coz the others didn't appear, LOL... bunch of sissies.

Also, I finished yesterday at 1400 kcals. GREAT, isn't it!?

Unfortunately I'll have to eat out Friday night, because I'm invited to a work-related anniversary party... Conclusion: no badminton that day, and more money to fly out of my pocket in vain... Wish I could cancel that. But I can not, because the organizer is my colleague who comes to badminton with me, and she gives me ride home whenever I need it (I have two colleagues at the badminton with car and I depend on them as you know), so I don't want to hurt her feelings and cause myself hard times. The other colleague of mine has a little kid (8-months old girl) and she's not a regular at the badminton because of that. So, I have to do a sacrifice here, even if it's such a big one (not going to a badminton training).

Sunday my man asked me in front of the family what would I prefer: badminton or a dinner at the sushi restaurant with them (because of the Chinese New Year, they want to go there on that very day and it's Friday night, when I have training scheduled (Mo-Wed-Fri)) and I said, without hesitation: badminton. LOL... big surprise?! Not really.

Today's menu:

09H30 - LF milk w/ coffee (120 kcal)

V on 01/04/2011:
Yay for tennis! Now your honey should have known that you would chose badminton! LOL That's why we love you beautiful!

chidogs on 01/04/2011:
Goodness I remember those business parties. I really didn't like them either and would search to find an excuse not to go. Hope you think of something! Badminton over sushi, that works for me. :) Take care.

legcramps on 01/04/2011:
LOL, love it! Way to go, girl! If I were where you were, you'd have a badminton buddy for sure - I love that sport :)

liza36 on 01/04/2011:
It's great to get back to normal. I'm feeling a bit like that myself. Now I could have answered that question your man asked - badminton of course!

Umpqua on 01/04/2011:
Thanks for the info, I didn't realize calcium affected iron absorption. I have a long list of topics to research now ;)

moogy on 01/04/2011:
I think that I would have gone with the sushi with the family. I suppose he expeced that reply and I dare say he was still a little dissapointed. I hope that you are enjoying your return to normal scheduling of your sporting activities, I know how much it means to you.

Wow, I'm feeling so good. Life's getting back to normal!

> site's back! YAYYYY...

> been to gym (I only did a nice 45-min cardio today because of my shoulder but I burnt approx. 500 kcal!!! YAYYY for this too!)

> will have badminton tonight

> French is restarting after school holidays, today

> got rid of the cake (still have a half bolo Rei (Portuguese King's cake) at home but I will be strong)

> no more family reunions for now...

> the scale is working again.

OK, so, let's quick-set the goals for this year: LOSING MORE WEIGHT, GAINING MORE MUSCLE, STAMINA, FLEXIBILITY!

As in numbers: I want to be below 200 by the day 14th January. Will get to know if this is possible, by Friday (next weigh in scheduled!).

Then, I want to reach the BMI below "Obese", which is "Overweight". I'm at 32,2 BMI now, between 29,9 and 25 is Overweight. I wanna reach this by April/May (below 85kgs/187 lbs). Then below 71 kgs (156 lbs) would be the "Normal weight" for me, but this we'll see. It's never the plain number what gives the final result, it's the aspect and feeling. Basically, I will stop when I feel well and looking good in the mirror! :-)

Today's menu:

06H00 - a soy yogurt (100 kcal)

09H00 - LF milk w/ coffee (50 kcal)

10H00 - LF milk w/ coffee (100 kcal)

11H00 - an apple (100 kcal)

12H30 - veggie soup (200 kcal), a grilled chicken leg (200 kcal) with 100gr LF fresh cheese and tomatoes (200 kcal), coffee w/ LF milk (50 kcal)

16H00 - a LF yogurt (50 kcal) and an orange (50 kcal)

23H30 - veggie soup and a kiwi (300 kcal)

Grand total: 1400 kcal

OMG, I have diarrhea all day... I've been taking a pill called alli to retain the fat of the foods during the last three days, and my intestines are so f...cked up now. Exactly what I wanted to avoid... :-S

Progress as of today: 124.7 lbs lost so far, only 46.5 lbs to go!

Sounds like a reasonable plan to me Kat! i know you can do this so "piece of cake" LOl (no more for a bit) I totally understand why you want to get out of the obese category, I cried when i finally did :) Tears of joy of course ;) have a wonderful day

I love your goals for 2011. Knowing you, you will achieve them. I cant wait to see what takes place for you this year! :)

moogy on 01/03/2011:
I am sure that this is your year Kathy, goal weight is now in sight. You are an inspiration.:))

liza36 on 01/03/2011:
Alli is nasty stuff! I would not recommend taking it because of all of the intestinal problems it creates. That's just my opinion, of course.

I received your lovely Christmas card!! Thank you SO much, I really enjoyed getting it from you, and now I have a wonderful picture of you. I hope you have a very happy New Year! You have great goals, which I know you will achieve.

panda22 on 01/03/2011:
Glad things are back to "normal" for you now with resuming your routine =) 500cal in 45 minutes @ the gym is AWESOME! Fantastic 2011 goals as well. I completely agree that it's not the end number that's the important thing, but how you feel! I still predict a good weigh in on Friday ;), keep up the good work!

hopingforhealth on 01/03/2011:
Yikes. I have wondered about those pills, but I was worried it would do exactly that to me! I hope you feel better soon and your body just has to adjust to it!

biscottibody59 on 01/03/2011:
Happy 2011! That alli is highly advertised here in the US this time of year--hope you get past the effects very soon!

lifestylechange on 01/03/2011:
Thanks for sharing your personal story with me...I'm really sorry that you were not able to get to know your Dad better. My girls have a very close relationship with their daddy and he is an awesome daddy, i would not want any other daddy for my girls...it's sad that he and i went our separate ways and he got a really amazing job 12 hours from our hometown... it's hard on all of us but we are doing the best we can. i am so appreciative of all of your girls' support, thanks again:)

The older you get, the tougher it is to lose weight, because by then your body and your fat are really good friends.  ~Author Unknown

I am down again, with the arm muscle problem. And on drugs again (Diclofenac)... thanks to a bad movement yesterday at badminton. And I warmed up well this time, some 20 minutes worth. Great. And I'm developing this nice headache, must be a sign of TOM. Will try to get to the pool today, but it promises to be a stressful day at work. Nothing's working properly, huh...

My man is very stressed. His boss announced the disposal of three colleagues of his by the end of this year, they know the names (he's not one of them, for now). I am with him, at any decision he may take... I just hope I can help him to get a job at my workplace if all fails or he asks for it. He has been talking about it already... but we're rather stuck in this "talking about it" phase. Nothing has been done yet and it drives me a bit crazy.

Today's menu:

08H45 - LF milk w/ coffee at home

10H00 - LF milk w/ coffee at work

11H00 - a small apple (50 kcal)

12H15 - a nice and complete meal, consisted of: a carrot soup (300 kcal), a small dose of cooked pasta w/ grilled pork liver and ice lettuce with olive oil+vinegar (450 kcal)

15H30 - a toast and an orange (100 kcal)

Grand total: 1100 kcal

Progress as of today: 124.7 lbs lost so far, only 61.5 lbs to go!

sweetpea1977 on 12/28/2010:
Im so sorry about your arm muscle injury and headache. I hope that you're able to get that swim into help relieve the pain and stress.

I totally get the "talking about it" phase. I've been through the same thing a couple of times recently with my hubby (his weight issues, organizing the basement). Just keep encouraging him in a kind way and hopefully he'll make that big scary step to a new job.

loveray on 12/28/2010:
oh no, i hope you feel better and your man is under less stress soon...its so hard when actions speak louder than words.

Maria7 on 12/28/2010:
I lol when I read your top quote by author unknown. Sorry to hear about your arm and hope it feels better very, very quickly. :-)

panda22 on 12/28/2010:
Sorry to hear you aren't feeling great and also have a lot going on with your husband's job. So scary to not know what's going to happen or have a sure path. Hang in there, everything will work out! Have a nice day and hope you feel better!

panda22 on 12/28/2010:
PS love the quote hahaha

jolt on 12/28/2010:
Hope you are feeling better soon! Don't let it stop you from getting to where you want to be. Sometimes the "talking about it" stage can last a long time before you see action, hang in there.

chidogs on 12/28/2010:
I hope your arm is better soon. The job situation is such a big stress thing. We've had job issues several times. No fun. Hugs to you both Oh, and I don't dare get much more energetic music. At my age that could be dangerous! :)

moogy on 12/28/2010:
You seem to be having a series of upsets lately. If it isn't you it someone else causing you distress. I wish that all things could work out the way you would like them. I hope that life sorts itself out for you soon and that it works out well for you and your man.

Umpqua on 12/28/2010:
I hope your arm feels better and you get your partner's job situation resolved soon. Hang in there!

V on 12/28/2010:
Oh sweetie :( I am sending you a few hugs! i hope everything works out!!! I did get your ever so lovely card of you and your kitty, but no box?? I am hoping it will find it's way to me :)

Good morning, sweet Ladies!

Wow, I had a bad day yesterday. Food-unwise one... as last day of Christmas, and the last pieces of sweets we had at home. They are all gone now, with the help of the visitors and my man, and Me... I don't even want to talk about it.

Today, life's getting back to normal: went to have tennis today, the courts were dry, the weather calm... I was super happy, coz I haven't been having tennis for a long time now, because of the rainy season... and then... the coach didn't appear!!!!!!!! I had to go to the gym, after the security dude tried to call the coach in vain...  I sent an SMS to the other coach, saying I was rather upset coz I only had had 3 trainings this month due to the bad weather, and I've just lost an excellent opportunity, for an unknown reason. I'm paying 90 euros per month to have this, if I'd want to go to the gym I'd pay 40 only... And in addition the weather is getting worse, the prediction is rain again beginning today afternoon.

Badminton's today, but my colleague doesn't want to come this week, or can not come, don't know for sure. So, I have to ask my other colleague because I cannot go home that late (around 11pm is rather dangerous on the streets) alone, I need a lift every time. I hope they won't undermine this, too.

Today's menu:

06H10 - a plain yogurt (50 kcal)

10H00 - LF milk w/ coffee (100 kcal)

12H45 - slice of turkey breast w/ veggies and veggie soup (700 kcal)

16H00 - a Portuguese orange and a cup of LF yogurt, coffee (150 kcal)

18H00 - some coffee decaf w/ LF milk (50 kcal)

23H30 - veggie soup (350 kcal)

Grand total: 1400 kcal

Progress as of today: 124.7 lbs lost so far, only 61.5 lbs to go!

just42day on 12/27/2010:
Good morning! I hear ya on not wanting to talk about some of the holiday treats consumed. That's behind us both now. Have a great day! :)

Maria7 on 12/27/2010:
Hello, there! I know you love your tennis. Maybe you'll get to have it outside next time. :-)

panda22 on 12/27/2010:
Sorry to hear about your bad day and the un-luck you've been having with tennis and the weather! Hope it gets better and that today is a good one for you! PS - I read your entry about a new year goal of under 200...and I predict you are there right now as we speak ;) The last pictures you posted are beautiful as always and your outfit is adorable =D

sweetpea1977 on 12/27/2010:
Wow, how frustrating! I hope things get resolved with tennis. I know how much you love it!

BTW, I cant get over how amazing you look!! You have always been a pretty girl, but its been awesome seeing your inside beauty coming out during your transformation. You rock!

V on 12/27/2010:
Hi Kat!!! I am sorry that you are having issues with tennis! i know how much you look forward to this and you have every right to be pissed about paying money and no lessons :( Anyways I hope you will get a chance to show off soon!

moogy on 12/27/2010:
I am sure that in another life you would have been a professional tennis player. Your determination to play is undaunted by anything. I hope it all works out for you. Have a great day Kathy.:)

nutri_fitt on 12/27/2010:
