Good morning. Feeling Great. 5 mile bike ride yesterday. No leg pain whatsoever. 2 shows today. Breakfast with my son in from Kentucky this morning. Going to be with some Great friends later with lots of food to avoid. Hope everyone is having a Great weekend. Have a Healthy Day.

I hope there's some alternatives when you are avoiding the crap food...that's what always gets me thru - or i plan to bring some things. :-D sounds like a really nice time with friends, family & music. So glad for no pain on your end.

Good morning. Yesterday I ran for about 2 miles. A Lap and a good chunk of track. I did NOT stretch out like I should have before starting. I just wasn't thinking. After the first lap I asked myself what would keep me from going around the track again. I breathed in real good. So I knew my lungs could take it. I had beets for breakfast so I know I had gas in the tank. But the calf muscles in my legs were beginning to hurt. I kept going a good chunk and listened to my legs. Yep ! They were getting sore with each impact. And my impact isn't much. I think my sneakers clear the asphalt about 1/4 inch with each step. So I stopped and walked back to the truck. It was a good sweat with good tunes in my headphones. I'm not "sore" at the moment but I'm gonna wait 3 days (Monday) before I try again. Hope everyone has a good day. Have a Healthy Day.

2 miles is great OR! You MUST take care of those muscles though and listen to your body. Injuries are simply not worth the pain and set back. Glad to hear you stopped when you did. Looking forward to hearing about Monday when you try again. In the mean time, have a healthy weekend!

Good morning. I got my beet juice on. Feeling great. 5 mile bike ride yesterday. Going back to the track today after work and try to improve on my last run. Going for 2 full laps. That will be 3 miles. I think the only thing that would stop me is between my ears. It's good to see the new people on here. It's good to be part of a Team. Have a Healthy Day.

Yes, i always loved being part of a team also...or rather seeing the folks i know when i used to exercise at a large park (1 time around was 1.5 miles). I still see some of those regulars :-D around town & on facebook! so nice to always be able to catch up with good people and see like-minded people doing their thing.

Good morning. No exercise last night. I had too many stops to make after work. I'm ready for a Bike ride today. My legs are still a little sore. But I'm still greatful my knees are holding up. I just have to remember not to put them into any weird angles. Have a Healthy Day.

with walking and running, i would say do it 3-4 times a week, most.

and if you are sore, it means REST. do not work out a body part if it is sore. let the muscle grow, just stretch when sore, then workout when it feels better.

i even took a day off the gym this week (too tired and sore)

Hey, HP. Couldn't respond earlier. Work got in my way. I rode my bike 5 miles today and I'm just a weensy bit sore. I'm wanting to jog after work tomorrow. Good morning. Yesterday I found the track they are going to use for the 5K on September 10th. It's 1.5 miles for one lap. I did one full lap before walking to my truck. My legs are a little sore but not bad at all. I'll try again in a couple days. Going bike riding after work. Hope everyone is good and Have a Healthy Day.

Little by little, you shall be fine. And you do a lot of walking at work right?

so on the day of the 5k, make sure you do stretching (if you do) and rest up before it so you are really energized.

Good morning. Today'a weight-in was a steady 187. I'm happy with that. I had my beet juice this morning so I'll probably be a dynamo all day. Lots of rain here but I'm hoping to try some light jogging at the bike path after work. Have a Healthy Day.

Good morning. I'm thinking of entering a 5K in September. I'm pretty sure I couldn't run the whole way and have to walk some, but I still want to test myself. I'm going to go to the bike path and run for a while and get as ready as I can be. I'm looking at my little belly poaching out, and I wonder if it's going to be a problem. I'm back on the beets. Good morning. Down a couple pounds today. My back,neck shoulder thing is still going on. My bike tire is flat. I got a new whopper chopper food processor with two spinning blades of death. It works great. I had a pretty good day yesterday. I just gotta go slow until I heal up. Hope everyone is good and healthy. Have a Healthy Day.
