2c sauerkraut, 2c soup, SweetPotato




I finally made the soup again. Need to dig up the rest of the SweetPotatoes and cure them. The Stevia plants need dried out and run through the coffee grinder. Sowing turnips tonight after work. Cucumbers, greenbeans, beets and zucchini (courgette) are going strong. Tomatoes are done for the year. Cabbage didn't really turn out. Too many bugs ate the leaves...I guess they tasted good.

Turnips - see my last two breakfast menus!! So you grow stevia? Have you done that before? Do you dry out the leaves and make a liquid or do you do something else with it once it's dried? Very interesting! Too bad the cabbages didn't make it - but.....

Great on the bike ride - Hey - thought of you when I saw on a FB blog that talked about getting ready to pick these "Autumn Olives" I have never eaten them as probably didn't know you COULD, but I am going to see if I can pick some and try them.....interesting.....here I the article I looked up after seeing the FB blog....I remember seeing where you like to forage for wild edibles so thought you might like to read.....

I lost 22Lbs in 3months with weightwatchers, 60Lbs in 8months with DD.

I'd really like to know just how long some of you guys have been around here at the DD website. I think I know who some of the real veterans are.

I've been here two years. I had lost about 20 pounds already but then was on a plateau the whole summer. So joined up for the support and reached my goal in about 3 months.

I joined in December 2003, so I'm coming up on my 10-year anniversary! Biscotti and Maria were here before me, and I think legcramps joined around the same time as me. This is a lifelong battle for most of us.

There used to be a dropdown listing of all members. I'm waaay waaaaay waaaaaaay far away from the founding members. (You just can't see them the way the site is configured now.) DDs had probably 20-30 daily or nearly daily posting diarists at one time. Activity always spiked in January of course. It's a very quiet place now compared to when I first started posting.

Dr. Visit was great. All numbers on bloodwork were PERFECT ! Glucose 95, Triglycerides 45, VLDL 9, HDL 51, LDL 72, A1C 5.5, PSA .94

Stunned at my weight loss. I lost 82Lbs since my last visit. He wanted to know more about our group here. I showed him our little charts for monthly averages, and a couple of my daily entries. "Great Idea!" He says he doesn't need to see me for another year. So, I have to be accountable to you guys for another year. Hope you can stand it.

Sorry, I really don't mean to Gloat, I'm just happy.

I never got the chance to make soup yesterday. Darla burned the turkeyburger before I got home. I could smell it in the driveway when I pulled in. The doors were open and the attic fan was on. I was able to make the Beanstew though. So we won't starve. We went to a Bluegrass show and I had a salad and small chili.

Got a 3 o'clock appointment today to see what my bloodwork from yesterday says. My doctor hasn't seen me since I lost most of my weight.

Water was low, coffee was high.

Walked 1mile, ran 1,1/4 mile

172Lbs at this mornings weigh-in. That's 4 weeks in a row.

I'll make soup tonight. I've decided to just make oats and Groats and have them for breakfast. And if the soup starts getting low, well then I'll start adding water to it. Making Bean Stew tonight as well.

Off to the Dr. Office to have blood drawn.
